Good Morning Girls.

Well, y'day ended up being a complete rest day which is fine but now I have to do my work out early this morning. We have to be up at my mom's between 12 and 12:30 for the holiday festivities today. It's kind of an early start but hopefully that means we'll get home a bit earlier as well. :)

I didn't do much y'day afternoon but in the evening DH, DS and I went to the Freehold Raceway Mall. We ate at Ruby Tuesdays (I had a veggie burger so I made the attempt to be good but who knows what the nutrition info for it is!) and then walked around a while. I picked up 3 pairs of earrings and some stuff for my new do. I needed something to tame it in the mornings before I go to work. Hopefully it works since I shower in the afternoon most days and really don't want to have to stick my head under the faucet in order to look human. x(

DH and DS wanted icecream at the end of the evening in the mall so I got them what they wanted and bought myself a small cup of fat free chocolate frozen yogurt. It hit the spot and I didn't feel guilty about it at all. It was very light so it didn't even give me that overly full feeling. :)

When we got home (around 9:30 at night) I proceeded to have to cut veggies. I am in charge of bringing a veggie platter to mom's today and knew I just wouldn't have enough time to get that in, plus my work out and whatever else I needed to do before we left. So there I was cutting veggies at the kitchen table and drinking a Raspberry Smirnoff Twist!}( Shortly after that, I went to bed but by then it was 11:00!

I could have slept more this morning but I wanted to get up so I'd have my coffee, forum and breakfast time before my work out. It seems this mom never gets to sleep late BUT she DOES get to take lots of naps!:+

Man, am I a talker these past couple of days! If I don't get quiet soon, Cathy is going to have started the thread when I wasn't looking!:7

BBIAB!

Cathy: What's a QP? I'm going blank over here. LOL Yes, I will be sure and post a pic of the new do as soon as I can. :) Thanks again SOOOOO much for picking up the Wii for me. DH and I are willing to take the ride down to pick it up from you if you will let us take you out for a meal in exchange. :)

Ang: LOL about hiding eggs in a dirty house. I'm sure that as your kids are searching for the eggs they'd be thinking "Oh, no egg here but man check out the size of that dust bunny! Eeeeewwww gross, I'd better tell mom to clean back here!" :p :7 ;) I use the Omron body fat tester. It's a battery operated device that works via electric impedence. You put your hands on the sensors to get the reading. It's not totally accurate but it's good enough for me. I had the calipers at one time but someone else needed to do it for me and I can't be bothered waiting. It's bad enough that I have to wait for DH to take the pics once a month!:p

Well, time for another cup o' java!

BBL!

Hey girl! Sounds like a nice outing at the mall yesterday. I am on the hunt for new earrings, too. I like simple hoops or studs. Where did you find yours?

So how do you like the perm this morning?

I bought two pairs of shoes yesterday while I was out doing returns. A pair of Skechers that I'd also just bought in brown (very comfy! I think I can squeak by wearing them at work sometimes) and a pair of Nikes -- these are for casual wear, so I don't use my running shoes. I have been on a shoe kick lately. Gotta get rid of some.

Maybe we can meet someplace in between for lunch or something if we can figure out a date that is good. If not, then I'll mail the sucker.

QP is a quarter pounder. :)

I have some delicious DOMS from Providence and am thinkin' some time on the EXT will be just the ticket later on. Gotta be more productive NB-wise, though. This may require CABs. }( :7

Edited to add more personals:
Angie :: I'm glad you've got your Wii situation solved. If I'd had your cell number, I would've called and gladly picked one up for ya...In terms of the kettlebells...well, I am *really* enjoying them. However, the biggest downside is that they are expensive, and so are the videos. But Providence is very well-done and worth it, IMO.

Happy Easter, everyone!

Hey Girls.

Well, I finished ME about 30 mins ago and my arms are STILL shakey!}( After doing primarily strength work for so long I have a renewed respect for endurance work outs! YIKES! I was able to keep up with Cathe or go heavier on everything but abs. I used a 6# med ball instead of an 8 simply cause it was the easiest one to get to and I'm glad I did! LOL :p I am sure I COULD have used an 8 but OMG it's not like I wasn't feelin' the burn with the 6!

Cathy: So you indulged in quarter pounder and fries, ey? OMG, I still have the taste for that stuff though I rarely eat it. Lots of folks on the boards say they think it's gross now. I'm sorry but it wil NEVER be gross to me!:9 :7 :9 I hope you enjoyed it! Think of it as reward for all of your NB efforts!:)
Yeah, if we can find an agreeable date and time for the Wii trade off and a meal that would be great. If not, and you opt to mail it then just let me know the total cost including the shipping and I will mail you a check pronto!:)

Okay, off to peruse the rest of the forums and then finish getting ready!

BBL!:+

Mornin Cabbers

We had company over last night and played cards and drank CABs. So, I did NOT want to get up this morning but the kids were relentless. I was cleaning up the kitchen last night b/c our company did not want to leave and it was 1:15. I was trying to be polite, but with Easter Sunday coming close it was just time to call it a night already ya know? Their kids were falling asleep on the couch and my kids were already in bed. I was exhausted.
Anyways, the kids are stoked about hopefully getting a Wii. They are already making all kinds of plans. Now, to stay away from the easter candy.:D x( I LOVE the cadbury cream eggs!
I still haven't decided if I will work out or not. This typically is my rest day, but I might sneek in a "fun" workout.

Just wanted to tell you girls http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Holidays_and_Party/easter-119.gif

I'm back....

I went ahead and did RS. It's been a very long time since I've done that one. It doesn't seem very challenging, but it was about a 500 calorie burn and was lots of fun. I'm glad I did it since it seemed to get me out of the blahs of doing nothing today. So now I'm snacking on a bit o' candy, which I know I shouldn't, but I'm not overdoing it b/c I know my tummy will be rebelling if I do.

Wendy - So how did Joey like Easter morning? My kids love to find things so Easter is their favorite holiday. We also do a treasure hunt for them which they really get a big kick out of. *lol* I don't really have dust bunnies to worry about so much as I had things to put away instead of just leaving them on the counter and table. The house wasn't really dirty, just cluttered, which bugs me just about as bad.
It sounds like you had a relaxing night last night. I should've gotten my stuff made for last night as well, but I still have a taco dip to make today before we head to MIL's. I had DH make a tossed salad while I was doing RS, otherwise there probably wouldn't be any vegges there at all. MIL isn't much into "healthy" foods, just good tasting food.
Good job on ME. Think you'll be DOMin' from it?

Cathe - Good for you for scoring some shoes. I need to go shoe hunting again as well since the side stitches are coming out of my sneakers.:( I do put them thru some torture.
Glad you got some DOMS today. I'm going to go back to gym style tomorrow for some of my own for tomorrow. I think I'm ready for some hurtin' muscles.
So are the CABs flowin' yet?? It would be hard for me to try and do work while sippin on CABs but if it works, I'd say go for it!
Thanks for thinking of me for the Wii. I'm fairly confident that I'll be able to get one on Tuesday.
How long are the providence videos? Do you like the instructor? Did you buy them online?

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I'm off to make taco dip. I'll BBL on tonight.

Chow!

Just dropping back in to report my workout: 30 min on the EXT at various inclines plus abs on the BOSU. While sweatin' it out, I was suckered into watching Richard Gere's hot bod in American Gigolo. :7 Nice break from the writing, which was starting to fry my brains. I'm still in the middle of one portfolio entry that is just kickin' my butt!

Wendy :: Based upon how far behind I still am, I think it might be best for me to ship it to you. It would be $7.75 to ship it priority ($7.65 parcel).

Angie :: No, no CABs as of yet. :7 I made sure to get my workout in first this time! But once I get showered, I may crack one open until it's time to head out later. Art of Strength Providence is a single workout...I bought it online through Amazon but you can also order through the AoS website: http://www.artofstrength.com/ The DVDs are $49.95 each. Steep, I know. But so good, I felt like doing it again today. You can also see demo's on that site (there are forums, too) for form pointers. I really, really like this instructor. He's straightforward, no-nonsense, and did I mention easy on the eyes? This workout has 16 two-minute cycles (1-2 exercises) with 1 min. of rest in between. During that time, you get a heads up and/or form pointers for what's next. During each exercise, there's a timer bar on the left of the screen (similar to P90X). I love this. Oh, and it's filmed outdoors with Anthony as the only exerciser.

Wonder where Di has been. Hope the twins are OK.

Cathy - OMG....those workouts look amazing! ACK!! Now look what you've done! LOL So, I'm curious as to what weight you use for the kettlebells. Also, is Providence the only KB worokut you have or did you get the other ones too?
If I remember correctly I think Cathe was going to sell kb's on her site too. I wonder if she is gearing up to start using these as well? Somehow I'm thinking this is not going to be easy on my wallet.

I've been wondering about Di myself. I hope all is well with the girls and family too. If you're out there Miss Diana.....well wishes heading your way.

Evening Ladies. :)

The afternoon was nice. Food was good as was the company. Joey was quite a challenge early on. He was not in a good mood AT ALL for some reason. Thankfully he got over it after the first hour or we would have been going right back home.

I had DH snap a pic of me before we headed out to my mom's this afternoon. It's not a good picture of me but atleast you can see the new do.:)
