Cabs and Abs Terrific Tuesday!

I got this week's plan mapped out for myself last night. I'm going to change it up and do one body part per day using S&H. Here's my plan ...subject to change ofcourse!:p

t: Back , Kenpo Cardio+ (which I am previewing as we speak!)
w: Chest/Planks
r: Legs , Run
f: Shoulders , Abs/Core+
s: Tri's , cardio of choice
s: Bi's/Abs
m: yoga/rest day

So being the shopping girl that I am I pre-ordered Tracey's Strike Zone DVD last night. I also ordered Amy's Kickbox Xtreme. }(

Angie: I will try S&H plies with two 20 pounders next time. I will have to adjust my grip/placement of the DB's as well so that they don't hit my legs on that one. I'll see what happens.

So after lots of attempts, I think I FINALLY have my DH convinced to give the X a try!:D He cancelled his gym membership so now's the perfect time to try it! I think he's going to follow the weight lifting schedule only. He won't commit to 6 days per week. I know him.

I am also working on selling my BMF the X. He is considering it for himself and his wife to do together. I think he could handle it but I'm not so sure about his wife ALTHOUGH with a program like that, you really CAN adapt it to anyone's level of fitness by lightening the weights, doing only half of the work outs at one time if need be, keeping the cardio grounded, etc. Keep your fingers crossed that he decideds to go for it!:+

My Turbo Jam is on it's way. I'm very excited to try it. I hope I have a chance before I am scheduled to start my X rotation!!!!

Good Morning Ladies,

My arms are sore from BBC yesterday. What a great feeling! I did 45 min on the elliptical last night. It was a goodie for sure.

I'm doing GS legs today instead BBC legs. My lower body needs more attention than the BBC offers. I'm thinking of adding the BBC leg cardio tonight. All those plyo moves should work the lower body nicely. Wednesday I'm doing a cardio w/o and then finish up BBC the rest of the week.

I've been perusing the forums and didn't realize the STS series was a 3 day split. I would prefer to lift 4 days per week. I wonder how it compares to the X.

Angie-Well it sounds like you had a productive day at work yesterday. It's taken me a long time but I now add in more protein in my diet. When I take a salad for lunch, I throw in a can of tuna or chicken. I also add protein powder to my fiber one cereal. In a pinch I'll also add protein powder to my oatmeal, it's delicious.

Wendy-Looks like you have a plan. I'm a fan of S&H too although I haven't done that series in quite a while. I also use the Pure Strength series every now and then. Cathe really does give us alot of choices.

I need to get to the basement before I spend too much time on this thing and miss my workout time.

Morning Ladies ..

I am back!! Yes had MLK day off .. and enjoyed every second of it .. I could get used to NOT working! :)

OK catch up time since I was not able to get here over the long weekend ..
Friday night - date night w/DH .. NICE!:) }( we 1/2 @$$ed watch White Noise 2 .. DH hated it .. I kinda liked it!
Sat. night - out w/the friends and SIL and DB ... had a blast even though the weather was threatening ice and snow .. HA .. nope .. just got the frigid temps!!
Sunday - SIL and I did BBC full body .. funny when you lay off of something you start thinking it was easy .. then you do it and it kicks your arse!! Sun night had my aunt and uncle over we cooked drunk chickens and watched "Good Luck Chuck" .. OMG that was a funny movie!!
MLK day - aahhh slept late - ran errands - went on the creek w/DH and checked fish baskets - cooked some venison tenderloin .. mmm mmm mmm

Today .. BACK to REALITY!! have 4-DS shoulders at lunch .. then boss is taking our workgroup out to Outback for making our goals .. yes PIA is going to be w/us .. x( .. like she helped at all!!x( Getting someone to sub my class for me!

Wendy - LOVED the picture of the snow bunny!! not so sure about skiing w/@$$less chaps ... LOL .. ouchie just thinking about "landing" on the tushie!! LOL:+ oh .. and glad to see you have the same problem as I do .. exercise DVD buying abuse!

Cathy - you cracked me up w/your smilies ..

Di - hope the babies are doing fine and parents are surviving!

Angie - glad you didn't have the horrible weather that the news was showing! My friend is in MN today .. the temp is supposed to be ONE DEGREE .. bless her heart .. I know she is in a major culture/climate shock compared to here!! :)

OK girlies .. better run .. trying to psych myself up for the drive w/PIA .. going to get some gum and keep my mouth occupied! but at least we are going to my fav eatery!! can you say Bloomin Onion??

Hi girls

Well, I can certainly tell it's tax time. I went in today to try and catch up on my tax stuff so I can get it ready to take to the accountant. I never even touched any of it. But, I got most of my Wednesday stuff done so tomorrow I can plow right into the tax stuff. Ug! I hate this time of year, but I gotta get the W-2's out to the guys before the end of the month.
I got home and did CC#3, GB arms, and AR200. That pretty much hit everything.:) It was all short and sweet though, just over an hour for all of it.

Wendy - I've got kenpox+ on my schedule this week too. I haven't tried it out yet. Actually I think that's what I have on tap for tomorrow.
I hope DH likes the X. I wish my DH would get into it, but he's on the phone so much when he gets home trying to schedule the trucks for the next day, that I don't think it would work for him to workout when he gets home. Since he's up at 4:30 for work, it's unlikely he would get up early to do it either. Can't blame him for that. I'm glad I don't work his hours.
Oh my, you DO have a lot of new workouts coming your way.:eek::)

Diana - Did you do the EXT with Sean? So, it's BBC week huh? Ouchies!
I love how STS gives us room to do other workouts too. Cathe is so smart. I'm sure she was reading all the posts about P90X and heard the same "I miss Cathe" complaint over and over again. That was definitely the hardest part of the X for me. So, she took that information and made this series flexible. Ya gotta love her!
I'm going to add protein powder to my next batch of oatmeal and also add it to my protein pancakes. I'm sure it would improve the taste of the pancakes.....and then add a dab of PB on top.:9

Laura - Sounds like you had a fun and relaxing long weekend. Hope you keep that zen feeling going into the night.....especially since you have to deal with PIA. Ignore her and enjoy your dinner. I hope you manage to get a seat far away from her. Oh well, at least you can have some CABs too. BTW, your boss sounds so super cool!!
