Hi Girls.

I hope Ang and her DH have a safe drive today.

So what's doin' peeps?

Diana: Congrats to Jerod on the winning game! Sorry you are having trouble with food lately. It seems to be an epidemic around here lately. LOL Thanks re my PR. I was determined to get one. I left out of the gate too fast and thought I was a gonner but I slowed down when I needed to and managed to get across the finish line in one piece. ;)

Cathy: So I take it you've lived in South Jersey all of your life? Your area is the area of Jersey that I am least familiar with overall. I went to college down there for a year but did not have a car on campus so I remained clueless. LOL Enjoy your long run today. I'm sure your sore butt will thank you! ;)

So after dinner y'day we took Joey to the boardwalk as planned. It was lots of fun. He went on rides and played games. He ended up winning like 5 small stuffed animals and even got some of his fave characters in there like Sponge Bob, Scooby and Elmo! Before we left him and DH had icecream. I was a good girl and had a low fat/low cal fudgesicle when we got home instead. :) Ofcourse, we won't talk about what I ate at the diner we stopped at after my race yesterday morning! :p

I was going to do workout #3 of NROL today but my legs are sore from my race. Besides running like a mad woman, I also forgot to stretch so I'm feelin' it today. In addition I am strongly considering switching up from NROL to another program by the same trainer so I don't want to interfere with the timing of starting the new one. I think today will be a stretch/yoga day. I could do some cardio but I really don't need to. It would be overkill so why bother.

Okay, I'm done babbling.

BBIAB!

Hi Ladies,

Well it's almost 10am here and I'm about to head out for a run. I'm hoping for 6 miles but we'll see how I feel once I get started. It's a later start than I wanted considering it is supposed to be 90 degrees today. I'm slathered in sunscreen and have my sunglasses, chapstick and water ready to go.

I plugged in my ipod since it was dead and am hoping it has charged enough in the last 10-15 minutes to get me through my run.

I've enjoyed my week of circuits and am starting phase 2 of my/wendy's version of the X. I'll run this morning and do the weights later today-(while doing laundry):). It's just that with 8 people living here the laundry needs to be done daily.

We have plenty of yard work, take back the recycling etc to get to this afternoon/evening. It will be nice to have the yard ready for Zach's party.

Wendy-what program are you considering switching to? Yoga/stretching would probably help your muscles feel a lot better.

Cathy-how long of a run did you do today? I'm really trying to get back into it but will have to see how my feet can hold up. I sent a link to Angie for the garmin 305, they have it on sale at costco by mail order. I'm considering purchasing one but haven't made a final decision yet.

Angie-hope you have a safe trip.

Laura-We should be hearing from you tomorrow, about all your big winnings I hope.

Hey Girls,

I'm back from my run. I managed to run for 70 minutes and burned 808 cals.}( I'm very happy about that. I was starving when I got back so I just had 1/2 C fiber one cereal with 2 scoops protein powder. HMMM HMMM Good.

I'm going to gather up the laundry and get going on that, take back the recycling and then hit P90X when I get back. I think its chest, shoulders and back. It'll be a surprise for me.

Hey, girls! :) Happy Sunday!

Wendy ~ yep, born n' bred in this neck o' the woods. I am very unfamiliar with your territory and farther north. In fact, I'm not even all that good with the area where I teach now (the county north of me). Whenever there's a road closure or detour, I have to break out my Garmin. So, did you go to GSC? I looked on a map and see now you are more north than I'd realized. Not too far from Woodbridge, it looks like. I wonder how different Afterburn is from Warp Speed Fat Loss. I had a hard time choosing between the two.

Di ~ great job with your run. You had quite the scorcher today! I do feel good after BC. How big is the planned grad party?

Angie ~ thinking of you today at Jack's services...How was it?...My feet feel good except for the one raw patch on my heel. I'd planned to do my long run this afternoon (wanted to give myself as much recovery time from BC as possible) and now it's raining. :( So apparently THAT was a mistake. Harrumph! Hadn't paid mind to the forecast.

As mentioned to Ange, the weather has interfered with my long run plans. I don't know that I can endure 8 miles on the DM, so I am contemplating running outside tomorrow after school. I think it should be do-able since I don't have a meeting or any pressing deadlines to be concerned with, so I should be able to get out on time. I think that's what I'm going to shoot for since somehow I think the long runs really should be done outdoors.

So, does anyone know when Laura gets back?

*edited b/c something sounded weird*

Hi girls

What a long day! We were in the car for 7 hours today and at the service for 1.5 hours. There was a really big turnout and we met Jacks son for the first time. It was eerie how much he looked and had mannerisms exactly like Jack. Anyways, Barb said he had a massive heart attack at home and had a quick and painless death. I guess that's the way to go when your number comes up. It's nice that she can take comfort in that.
DH was soooo sweet. Today was my B-day (the last of the 30's for mwaa) and DH planned a Red Lobster stop for dinner. I had a mudslide and king crab legs. MMMMMMMM! Then when we got gas, he bought me a carmello bar.:9 When we got home the boys had flowers for me too. Awwwwww.....I truly am blessed.;-)

Wendy - The boardwalk sounds like fun. Good for you in saying "no" to the ice cream.
So didya do the yoga and get some kinks out?

Diana - I can't imagine doing laundry for 8! 4 is bad enough.
Thanks for the link. Honestly I haven't had a chance to look at my e-mail in a few days. I also have mail on the countertop that I haven't looked at either. Hopefully I'll get to it sometime this week.
What a great run! You should be proud of yourself. You must've found that rhythm today eh?

Cathy - Oh no on the weather. Boo!! Hopefully tomorrow's weather will work better.
How's that bite today?
I laughed at your editing comment.:)
Were you racing mario today??

I'm bushed. Sitting in a car seat has wiped me out. I'm gonna hit the sack. Can't wait to hear about Laura's trip tomorrow.:)

Nighty night
