Cabs and Abs Sunday

Morning!

I am about to grab java #2 but I figured I'd get us started first.

I am trying to decide between BBC f/b work out, BBC Butt and Legs and Butts and Guts today. Any suggestions? }(

BBL!:)

Good morning, girls!

Wendy :: Re: your workout...aaaah! I'm having an indecisive day myself. Of those choices, though, I would probably do B&G since you hit u/b yesterday...Class went well…No scrambled brains but a realization that I need to get movin’ on certain things…yes, new kicks…did you see the splurge I posted the other night? I’m keepin’ UPS busy *lol*…But anyway, I’m still wearing my “old” pair, too…they’ve got plenty of miles left on ‘em.

Lunch was good…we caught up but we did have a heart-to-heart…I told her I was having second thoughts about going on our big ski trip this December…that I thought things might be weird…She didn’t apologize exactly but she acknowledged that it’s been entirely her fault that things are the way they are…that she’s the one who dropped off and let things go…but that it’s not the way she wants it to be…and that she thinks about how she’s lost her friend, the one person in the world who knew her best…She was crying a little bit at that point. I told her that I thought, at first, that it was a phase – that understandable head-over-heels stage you go through in the beginning and that she’d come around again eventually – but that I realized this summer that it wasn’t a phase and it wasn’t about being busy (which is how she explained the distance for most of this past year.) It is this way because she’s with someone who’s possessive and doesn’t want to share her with anyone else, and that that intensified when they moved in together. I think she wanted to downplay this a little, but she acknowledged that it is basically true, that he is insecure and that he pretty much schedules all these things for her to do all the time. She said is trying to change that – and to do her own thing sometimes -- but also said it’s not bad enough for her to want to leave…that he “is it” for her and she loves him…It was a pretty lengthy convo and an honest one, but I’d say it’s hard to predict what’s gonna happen. I'd like to be optimistic but for lack of a better way to phrase, I think she's gonna be weak for him…Looking back now on the whole conversation yesterday, I think she seemed genuinely remorseful that she’d let her closest friend go, but at the same time, I feel like she is torn. Like she’s been between a rock and a hard place. I think she’s made a choice to be with this guy and has sacrificed pretty much anything to make him happy, but I don’t think she’s totally happy with that choice. And yet she’s not gonna do much about that. If that makes sense.

Diana :: how’d the basement cleaning go? Don’tcha hate how those clutter piles multiply? Congrats to Jerod’s team on the win!…Yesterday was a cheat day for me. I ate half a cheeseburger, fries, and had two CABs at Applebee's for lunch. No dinner but I did have a piece of pumpkin bread with cream cheese icing. Needless to say, I went over points. I think it will actually put me over my points for the week, too. Darn it. So much for doing good. Maybe the scale tomorrow will be kind to me, anyway. *lol*

Angie :: how was the party? You feelin’ it today?

I am with you girls – überexcited about the new workouts. It is perfect as this coming week is the last week of my circuit rotation.

ETA: I will be heading out for a run later today, for sure, but am undecided on what else I'll be doing. I mangled my rotation somewhat. Don't know what came over me this week. Anyway, I'll figure it out and report back later!! :)

Hmmm...where are the rest of the girls today? Sleeping in perhaps? ;)

Cathy: So have you decided what work out to do along with your run? Nice to be sportin' TWO pairs of running shoes girl! Good for you! }( Can't wait to get the shipping notice for the new work outs! If I get it tmrw then I should have the work outs on Tuesday!!!! WOO HOO! So where do you go from here with your BF? Gonna play it out and see what happens next, I suppose? Perhaps she WILL change things a bit so you two can hang out more. Time will tell, right?

Joey is watching "Cars" right now. I am going to throw on some clothes and make myself look presentable. We need to head out to Kohl's shortly to pick up a Birthday gift and a couple of cards.

I'll be back later!:)

Well, I ran my errand and just as I had gotten Joey out of the stroller and strapped in the car seat and was about to pull out, I got a text from DH asking for sox and underwear from the store I had just left! UGH! I promised him I would go back out after J's nap to get it so I guess I am going back to Kohl's later! LOL THEN he calls up and says he's in the mood to have steak for dinner! This means I have to cook too! OY-some men want it all!:p

I am thinking of changing my cardio choice for this afternoon to a BodyMax leg circuit as I think they are about 20 mins long and would fit the bill rather nicely. I think I'll check 'em out right now so that I know if it will work for later....

Everyone must be busy today. I'm the only one hangin' around doin' nothing I guess!:p

BBL!

I am watching BM2's power circuits. I think I will do all 4 but I will omit the weight portions. They are 27 minutes total WITH weights so with out, they will probably come out to just about 20 mins or so. PERFECT!}(

Hi Ladies,

I babysat my niece last night and slept in a little this morning. I never did get around to the basement. Maybe today.... I've just been enjoying my coffee and catching up on emails. I get so much junk in my inbox. I need to do cardio today and am leaning towards kickboxing, either absolute kickboxing or kickbox xtreme.

I took Angela to the store and let her pick out a pumpkin. The first one she picked was fairly small and I thought size appropriate for an 8 yr old. I told her she could get which ever pumpkin she wanted. After looking for about 5 minutes, she chose the largest pumpkin she could find. I'm guessing it weighed about 20lbs or more and I'm not kidding. I had trouble carrying it. She drew the face and carved it herself. It was a fun night for me and I hope it was for her too.

My sister and I are going shopping later to buy paper shower decorations, invitations etc. It will be fun for us to spend some time together.

My body is hurting more and more all the time. I think I may need to go see the Dr. I never mentioned it because I thought it would go away, but I hurt my shoulder in the summer and it is getting worse instead of better. Also, my feet are killing me and I'm sure I'll need another surgery and just don't want to hear that. If I thought I would be pain free afterwards then I would definitely go for it.

Wendy-If you have the time, I vote for B&G. If you are short on time, BBC is a great w/o. If I wasn't always battling my weight I might be more comfortable cutting out some of the cardio.

Cathy-It sounds like you and BF had a true heart to heart. It is unfortunate that she feels like she has to alienate her friends to keep the boyfriend happy.

Angie-How is the hostess feeling this morning??? I can't wait to hear all about the party.

Laura-How did your team do? Have you lost your voice from all the screaming?

Nancy-Hi Nancy-we'd love to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and your family.

Diana

Hi again, Wendy and Diana!

Wendy :: yes, I decided on SS…I used to always buy two pair and alternate…necessary then because I ran five days a week back-to-back…kept ‘em feeling fresh…and if it rained, that gave one pair time to dry out, etc… ‘Course, I’m not doing that kind of mileage these days, but I decided to go for the second pair, anyway. They don’t look as beat down and I’d like to keep ‘em that way for my Friday jeans & sneakers days at work…Where it goes from here…well, we’ve made plans to have dinner this Thursday, so that’s good.

Di :: *lol* about your niece’s pumpkin selection…sounds like a fun night…Sorry to hear about the pain you’ve been having…I agree, if it's still lingering this many weeks later, it's deserving of a look...what surgery did you have on your foot?…have fun shopping with your sis. I have to confess to you – my fellow WWer – that this is day two of a ravenous appetite and some damn ugly eating…Re: BF, that’s exactly it…she does not like to tell him no…it is really not healthy, but I’m not sure she can see that.

Diana: The pumpkin picking sounds like it was fun. Ofcourse she's gonna pick the BIG one! You should have expected that one!:7
Sorry about your shoulder and your foot. I get the doc avoidance thing though. I am famous for that and not even when something is wrong. I just avoid them all together! The only thing I was ever good about was going to see my gp for a physical once a year but that's only cause I thought he was cute!}(

Cathy: Dinner on Thursday is a definate start. I hope it continues. :) So you actually wear your running sneakers casually? I don't. I don't want to mess them up! LOL I have casual sneakers, aerobic sneakers (which I also use for lifting) and running sneakers. I don't wear the aerobic or running sneakers for anything else until I replace them and then the old pair become casual sneakers until they are embarrassing and must be thrown away. :7 I guess I really can't pick on you for having 2 pairs of running kicks then, can I? :p

I just finished doing the BM2 power circuits minus the weight segments. I also did the first segment 2x so I did 5 in all. What a great choice for a short high intensity cardio work out!}(

Off to grab something to drink and a shower!

BBL! :)

I just got home from shopping with my sis. They had everything but the invitations. I ended up going to another store and they were out of the invitations I was looking for too}( I did find some others that I liked and did buy but they don't match all the other stuff. Oh well. I started looking at cribs since they will be needing two of them.

Wendy-I hardly ever go to the Dr. as most colds, flu, muscle aches etc pass on their own. I think I must've done some damage to my shoulder and it is not getting better. I was at kohl's earlier too, but ended up only buying socks. Great job with the BM2 power circuits, those are tough.

Cathy-I've had 2 bunionectomy's on my right foot (about 10 yrs apart) and have a nagging stress fracture in my left foot. At some point in time I will also need to have a bunionectomy on my left foot. Stepping doesn't hurt nearly as much as running or hi/lo. Sometimes my feet hurt after kickboxing to.

Hello again, ladies!

Finished SS and a strong 5 mile run. Feelin' great! I will shower and then do some ab work in a bit.

I am also a doctor avoider, although it may not seem so to you guys (*lol*) since it seems I have an appointment every week with someone else now! I would say it has only been this way within the past year, and esp. within the last 6 months of seeing the chiro, who presses me to pursue all kinds of things that I would have otherwise just sucked up. Typically, it takes me a long time to be seen for a problem, and it is usually at someone else's urging. I used to be bad about making even routine appointments.

Wendy :: Actually, no, I don't wear my running shoes casually. *lol* I also have crosstrainers for lifting/k'boxing, running shoes, and then casual sneakers (a couple different style of old school Pumas)...BUT...because my foot has been bothering me lately, I want the ultimate in comfort, which is my running kicks with the cushioned insoles. So, yeah, I am a sneaker ho, too. *lol*

Di :: glad it was a (mostly) successful shopping trip. Hate when you can't get everything matched up just right the way you want it, but in all likelihood, if I were a guest, I would never notice that sort of thing...I have a problematic foot, too...also a bunion that seems to be getting more severe. I imagine eventually I will need that surgery, but I am going to deal with it for as long as I can. I just bought this thing called Yoga Toes, which is supposed to stretch out your toes and relieve bunion and other foot pain. I've used it once for about 20 minutes, and it did leave my foot feeling pretty good.

OK, time to get cleaned up!

Hi Girls.

I guess it's just the three of us today. Angie must be busy doing clean-up duty from her party. Where is Laura? Did I forget about some crazy weekend plans she had?? :)

Diana: Glad you got most of what you wanted all in one store. I find it annoying though when I can get 99% of my list in one store and then have to go to another store for 1 or 2 things. It bugs me to no end! No worries about the invites not matching the other stuff. I am pretty sure no one will notice. :)

Cathy: A sneaker ho? Love the term! LOL

I am sooo tired. I can tell I am sick cause I am getting tired alot faster and more often then usual. I started getting tired in Target and by the time I got home and was making dinner for DS and myself I felt like I could fall asleep with my head on the kitchen counter! LOL I think I'll be in bed pretty quickly after DS goes up at 8. DH is working a 12 hour shift today and he'll be the only one up past 8:30 this evening!:p

I bought Mucinex for myself and for Joey tonight. I am hoping it helps us both with our congestion. We'll see. I've never used it before.

Okay, well I'm babbling now...Catch everyone in the morning!:7

Hi girls

I'll bet you're all thinking Ms. Angie was all hungover today huh?:+ x( Actually, I felt great this morning b/c I was a good girl last night.:) I knew it was going to be a long day and i didn't want to set myself up for a miserable day. I got up, made breakfast for our guests, and then finished cleaning up the party mess. I sat down to post to you all at about noon when our neighbors stopped by for a visit. They are an older couple who just come up on occasion since they have a home downstate too. They wanted to tell us that he has prostate cancer so they won't be up very much and just want us to keep and extra eye on the place. It sounds like they caught it early though and he should be able to handle it well. Anywho....by the time they left I realized that I only had time for a quick workout, a shower, and a quick bite to eat before we needed to head out for the football game. So, I decided on BBC fullbody. Ouch!!

Cathy - I hope the lunch next week goes well with BFF. At least you two are talking now, which is a good start. I hope she soon realizes that she can have a SO AND still have a BF. It most certainly doesn't have to be one or the other. Hopefully she will find out that the less people you talk to, the smaller your world becomes.:-(
It sounds to me like you still have the hots for the UPS man!:) If all goes well, you'll be seeing him again this week.:) I agree, there's nothing like getting packages.....pure joy!
Now you got me thinking about getting heavier duty bands. I opened my last greenie a couple months ago, so I will need to order more soon. How much do you want to bet I'll be getting a purple one??:p
I'm with ya sista on the bad eats.}( I kinda knew this was gonna happen though......there's really not a lot of leftovers so at least that is a good thing. Hope the scale is nice to you tomorrow.

Diana - Oh man, shoulder pain is not a good thing.....which I'm sure you know. I hope it's not a rotator cuff injury as those are not likely to go away without surgery.:(
I'm also hearing you about the basement closet. Mine just got cleaned out but I'm sure it won't last long....it seems that's where everything goes that doesn't have a spot of it's own.
I have 2 pumpkins that dad brought over for the boys. I'm looking forward to them carving them b/c I love baked pumpkins seeds with butter.....yummy!!

Wendy - I'm so jealous that you'll be getting those w/o pronto! Hopefully the rest of us won't be far behind. I ordered on the first day too.....at the end of the day, but still. Michigan isn't too far away so I should get it within a day or two of you....I hope.
I love going to Kohls....I don't go very often, b/c I don't truly enjoy shopping for clothes, but if I have to, Kohls is the place I want to go.....I can always find bargains there.:)
Man, you are creative with your w/o. You are the premix queen. Actually today I thought, OK, if I were Wendy and I wanted a 40 minute kick butt w/o that would tax the muscles but still have cardio benefits.....what would it be?? BBC FB just jumped out at me.....so, thanks for the inspiration.:D....and the DOMS I'm likely to have tomorrow. On the way home in the car my calves were starting to ache.....I can't even remember what calf w/o was even in that, but there had to be something...lol.
hope the mucinex works for you guys. Wish the yucks were history for you.;(

OK - better get ready for bed....another long week ahead but hopefully not quite as busy as the one we just conquered.

Angie
