Just thought I'd get us started this morning. Off to go get my first cup o' joe and figure out what will happen today. Not so surprisingly I have some butt DOMS. Today will be upper body with Tony.

Good Morning Ladies.

I'm runnin' on empty this morning. I had a late but fun night last night. I needed to blow off steam and certainly did but now I'm pooped. I got in bed after 2am (but didn't fall asleep until about 3!) and got up just before 9. I am on my 2nd cup of java and intend to keep the coffee flowin' for a while!

I have cardio on tap for today. I can't run as there is no daycare at the gym on sundays and DH is at work today. Oh well. It's not like I don't have TONS of other choices!

I'm not really feelin' the DOMS from y'day's work out and this upsets me. I know it doesn't mean I didn't get a good work out in but I really wanted a little soreness today. Oh well. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to settle in though so I could STILL have some comin'. I guess I'll have to wait and see!

I'll be back a bit later for personals.

I've been working on school stuff all morning, waiting for the sun to come out and warm things up. It hasn't happened. It's really chilly and overcast, so I might actually bite the bullet and hit the ol' TM. First, I am driving over to Sears with my dad. He drives a big boat of a car, so we're going to see if the elliptical will fit in his trunk.

Cathy: I hope the elliptical fits in your dad's car. I'm jealous. ENJOY IT! I simply do not have the room in the appropriate place for a TM or elliptical though. x(
 
I am so looking forward to using it this winter b/c I have become more of a cold weather/darkness wuss and just don't care for the TM.

I don't blame ya Cathy. I'm not big on winter running. I will run outdoors on occasion for a change of pace but that's it.

Hey Angie! I thought you were comin' back once you grabbed your java!? So did you finish reading BFFM yet?
 
Hey Wendy - I'm back.....4 cups o joe later.:) It looks like you might need a nap later. So glad you decided to blow off some steam....you deserved that!

I'm not sure which Tony I have on tap for today....I'll find out when I get my hinie downstairs and look on my schedule. I probably won't get to it until after lunch sometime.

I read BFFM again last night. I think I'm on Chapter 5 now....you know, the endomorph section.*lol* It's not too difficult determining which body type I am.:7

Actually I've been searching online for a good place to sell my empty toner and ink jet cartridges to. I have a bunch of them cluttering up my office and I want to get rid of them but also get a decent price for them as well.

Cathy - A new piece of exercise equipment is soooooo exciting. Gosh...are we crazy or what?*lol* I would love to try and do a CC workout on an eliptical. Can you believe I still haven't done a CC workout yet? I still don't have that ipod.....but maybe after Christmas that won't be something that holds me back anymore. Usually I don't have much of a Christmas list but this year it seems to be realllllly long!:p I wonder what ever happened to those Cathe ipod workouts....hmmmmmmmm.

I should probably go and pick up the boys......but I'm draggin my feet on that one. :D I loves my alone time!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies,

I'm happy to report that Jerod's team won the 11yr state champion football game-in overtime!!!! The final score was 20-14!!!

I never did get my workout done yesterday. Since I have more time today, I will do GS Legs and some kind of cardio-maybe KPC. Now that football is over I shoul be able to go back to my normal weekend workouts. I enjoy doing wts and cardio or a long cardio on the weekends. Basketball doesn't start until January so I'm good until then.

My eating was terrible yesterday. It started out with doughnuts of all things. I then had some steel cut oats with 1 scoop protein powder before moving on to chicken & noodles (all before noon I might add). Forgot to mention I had an oatmeal bar somewhere in the morning too.

Angie-I emailed you a pic of Jerod with his trophy. I would've posted it but couldn't figure out how (didn't try very hard either). Anyway, do you have the X logs you could send me? I used the ones I think Laura sent me and didn't make copies.

Cathy-I think it's great your getting yourself an elliptical. I agree with Angie that it's not really something someone else could get for you. Hope it fits in your dads car. I'm so jealous now. Let us know how you like it when you get it all set up.

Wendy-Aren't you the party girl. Sometimes we just need to let go every now and then and enjoy ourselves. I think you'll definitely need a nap later today. Let us know what cardio you decide on. I've been noticing that your own rotation creations would be great for business travelers as they could be done with just a band in the hotel room.

Angie...You have out-coffee'd the "pro" girl! I'm just on cup #3 now! WOW! Usually NO ONE out drinks me!:p ITA on the alone time. I can't decide what I like better at times....going out w/o DS or just being able to be totally alone in my house with no one (including DH!) to bother me! LOL

Diana: YAY for Jerod's team!!! Having a child in sports is hectic. YIKES! I just can't imagine it. Enjoy your "down time" before January rolls around. Sorry about the bad eating but if you take control ASAP you will be fine. Party girl? LOL I definately used to be! There was a time pre-marriage/child when I was dating DH and prior to that that I would be out at a country bar dancing my butt off until late 3 nights a week at times! I would get home late and still manage to get up for work. No idea how I did it. I loved it but man I spent alot of time being exhausted. LOL I still love to do that but obviously can't do it as much. I take what I can get though and do not feel bad about it. :)

CST & ARX is now over....thank goodness! I'm ready for an X break soon. I think I have 2 more weeks of this rotation left and then I'll have to figure out what else I'm gonna do.

Diana - Yeah on Jarods win!!! Sounds like an uber exciting game....those are the best! He looks like a happy guy in the picture with that cool trophy. You must be a proud mama. Thanks for sending the photo.:)
Cody will be done with basketball on Dec 3rd so then I will also be able to enjoy a few months off...so to speak. *lol* Then he will start up in the spring with baseball. It just never ends. I don't know what the heck I'm gonna do when Cam is old enough to get into sports at school.:eek:
I had to laugh at the doughnut story. I wend to MIL's to pick up the boys today and she made homemade doughnuts and wanted to send some home with me....I said "NO WAY!" LOL She still managed to send some caramel corn and chex mix though. She is such a good cook....makes it really hard to behave.
If you don't mind snail mail, I'd be happy to send those logs to you. I thought I had them saved in my computer at one point. I think someone posted them in the main forum, but I can't find them. It was probably saved in my Dell that crashed and never recovered.}( I'll send them out tomorrow.;-)

Wendy - I bought some more flavored creamers yesterday. I really shouldn't have done that. Like I need another excuse to drink more coffee...and the extra calories.x( I just couldn't resist the hazelnut and french vanilla. Damn that nestle company!!
I used to party harty when I was younger too. I just can't do it anymore. I think the last time I even had a drink was at our nascar party in mid October. I'm such an old lady.:7

Cathy - Soooooo Didya get that eliptical?? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi Girls.

I finished my work out a little while ago. I nixxed the cardio. I just wasn't in the mood for it so I opted for a leg day instead. Here's what I did:

PLB:
warm up
calf work
stability ball work

GS Legs:
floor work

BBC full body:
wall squat
flunges & squats

GS Legs:
stretch

GTG for now but I'll be back!:)
 
Well, it stayed rainy and cold all day, and I just wasn’t in the mood for the TM, so I did the full HSC, incorporating the BOSU where possible. Whoo! Got some IOMS this time (instant soreness!)

Angie :: I think I’m a meso-endo, but my body sure does want to hold onto the fat, daggone-it! *lol* I had no idea you could sell toner/ink cartridges…I haven’t done a CC workout, either. Seems to be more people crazy for iTreads around here. I do have 2 outdoor iTreads, but I’ve only done one of them. I hear the iClimbs are good for ellipticals…Fingers are crossed Santa brings you that iPod…you better be a good little girl til then! }( *lol*

Also added Kelly Coffey-Meyer's kick stepboxing 2 workout. (I definitely win the most selfish CABBER award. I've bought one x-mas present so far. Yikes!)

You know, I am wondering if another round of X is really the right choice for me based upon my goals (still trying to blast off this stubborn fat!) Diana, when you mentioned how you didn’t lose on the X, it made me think that I don’t want to spend 3 months and not burn fat. What do you ladies think?

I did buy the elliptical, but the box was too big for my dad’s car, so I’m going back tomorrow night with my cousin (he’s got a truck)…My dad is going to assemble it on Friday, so I have to wait til then to break ‘er in.

I'll tell you...it may not be healthy, but I went tanning again today (1st time since the cruise) and I really enjoy the warmth of the tanning booth. I shouldn't get hooked on this, but I wonder how bad it would be to do this 1x per week for 6 minutes.

I finished GS legs and KPC. I just showered and am heading out shopping with Amanda.

So far today, the eating has been much better. Breakfast was steel cut oats w/1 scoop protein powder and I just finished a protein shake made with 1/2 C. fiber one, 2 scoops protein powder, 10 frozen strawberries, 1 tsp flax seeds. This is my normal after workout meal in the mornings. It's delicious! I think I will pick up some green chile and make burritos for dinner.

I'm trying to plan my workouts for the next week and have a good start.

Angie-I'm a baker but have been refraining for several years because I tend to eat everything I bake. At this time of year I make up dessert platters and give them out as gifts to our friends. Thanks for the nice words about DS. I am a proud mama!!! Thanks for sending the X worksheets. Aren't you planning on starting another X rotation on Dec 1? I get the feeling I may be doing it on my own.

Wendy-The stability ball work in PLB is awesome. I bet your legs are fried from doing stab. ball work from PLB and GS Legs. Great Job!!!

Cathy - Yup, you can sell your empty ink cartridges. I just found that out a couple of years ago. For my copier, I get about $4 back for each of those. Generally, the more expensive they are, the more you can get for them.
Be good? Me?? Hmmmm....I might have to buy my own ipod after Christmas. *lol*
Bummer that you have to wait for the eliptical. I'll bet I know what workout you will be doing next weekend. DH got the roubounder together and Cam's already bouncing all over the place. I was suprised how you quickly you can get winded on that thing just by bouncing around. I wish I had a workout for it.
Your proabaly right about the X rotation. What kind of results did you get with it the last time?

Diana - I have to confess.....I have never had steel cut oats or flax seed...or hummus or tofu or sushi, etc. I really should experiment with these types of foods. I don't know why, but they scare me. Does that sound stupid or what?? I just don't know what to do with them.
That workout schudule looks like a good plan, especially for the holiday week.
I'll join you on the X, but it will definitely be modified! I'll do upper body when I'm supposed to, but I can't promise that I'll do the X workout prescribed. I also might experiment with another rotation.....we'll see. Right now I'm at that X burnout stage...week 11. After I get a bit of a break I might get back on board.

I'd better go call my sis. Apparently she's been struggling with kidney stones.;( Hopefully she'll be able to make it up north for the holiday. Night all!!

Cathy-I think the protein shake is 4-5pts. I switched to the core plan and only have to count the protein powder which is 3pts.
0pt-1/2 C fiber one
3pts-2 scoops protein powder
1pt-10 frozen strawberries or 1C mixed berries
??-1tsp flax seeds
0pts-2C water
I also used to mix with skim milk but it was too high in points so I switched to water. I've been looking through the rotations forum since it sounds like most of us won't be ready for the X in Dec. I'm interested in the Nov 07-Fat Burning Focus and Aug 05-Bootcamp. Cleaning up my eating is key too. I just saw another one but can't remember what it was off hand. I really need a rotation or I flounder. Do you mind telling me which elliptical you purchased. You've got me looking at them now. Your such a good influence on me:)

Angie-steel cut oats are just oatmeal that has not been processed. It takes a little longer to cook than oatmeal and has a nuttier flavor. I cook my meals for the week on Sunday. I also add vanilla extract and cinnamon. At work I just add water and heat in the microwave. Hummus is just mashed up garbanzo beans and taste like whatever you add to them. Hummus is mostly used as a spread for crackers or bread. Tofu doesn't really have much of a taste either but is a lowfat source of protein. Tofu tastes like whatever you cook with it. I make a tofu stir fry that the family eats. If you're on week 11 of the X I'm sure you'll want/need a break.

I need to finish up laundry and hit the sack. I have to be at work early and get in GS C&T. I've asked DH to wake me up-he has the week off (except for Friday).
