No, Spain won, but I'm happy for them. They were the best team of the tournament and deserved it fully. Yes, yesterday was my regularly scheduled rest day. I had jury duty and had to report in for the first time in years. AWFUL, just awful! Luckily, though, my number was never called, so I just sat around and waited, and now I'm done for another three years. Amen...Darnit on no puppy pic still!...I've only tried the drums on RB so far. It's harder than GH, if you ask me. I really should control some of these impulse purchases...I have never tried a protein pancake, but with all the mention of 'em around here, guess they're worth a look.

Good Morning Everyone.

Cathy~Nope, no madness for me yesterday. It just sounded like a catchy title!:p Glad you are done with jury duty. Would you believe I have never actually gone YET! *knocks on every piece of wood in her home!LOL* I got out of *most* of them. I only recall not getting out of one and for that one my number did not get called so I never had to go at all. :D

Laura: (((hugs)) So sorry about the house hon. I echo Cathy in hoping Buster is okay. Keep us posted.

Ang: So will it be lots o' CABS and unclean eatin' for you this holiday weekend? }( I'm likely to be doing the same with my probable trip to AC comin' up this weekend! ;) Um, nope, no HIIT y'day after my work out. I didn't really have the time...or the energy to be honest!:p I'm hittin' the gym today though. It's cardio day so that means HIIT for sure! }(

Morning Ladies ..

Well I am feeling more myself today ... went home and got some stuff unpacked and hung my paintings and the room looks EXCELLENT!!!:) So that is helping my feelings .. DH hung a mirror we brought back from the beach house in the new bathroom .. it looks so good!! The room has really come together .. after the work and drama is done this week .. I am going to throw one H### of a pool party!! :eek: }( :) .. and this time I will NOT be dancing on the pole!! }(

DH just took my baby to the vet .. the tumor was cyst .. and the Dr. looked it over and decided to insert a needle .. and it drained clear fluid and he said it was nothing to be concerned about .. WHEEW! He does want us watching it .. b/c it may come back and if so he will have to cut it out. He is running bloodwork to make sure he does not have an infection or anything ... his temp was normal so that is great .. he got onto DH b/c Buster is too FAT .. which I know .. which is one of my concerns .. sooooooo .. looks like I may have to get up every morning early and take both of our fat butts for a run!! :)

Today we are leaving to pick up the moving truck .. aaaahhh .. gotta lot of hard work ahead of us!!

Ang .. yeah .. I need to get it in the paper .. gonna check that out now. People down there ride around and we are in a prime location to have a sale .. so we are gonna put out neon signs out when we get down there and that will bring in a lot of people!

Wendy .. IA Monday was a MONDAY MADNESS.. and I for one am glad it is over with .. LOL!!

Hey Girls.

I used CC 8 challenge #3 for my HIIT today. Now I am officially petrified to do the whole work out!:p After a 5 min cool down I did a 20 minute steady state run as well. My butt was whooped after that. I need a nap.

I wanted to check the web site for petfinder to see if the puppy pics have been posted but still nothing.}( This is really starting to tick me off! I called the shelter and left a message on their machine to please get them up.
I really should be down doing B&B and ARX but I'm feeling more like being lazy for a few minutes before I tackle that. I got quite a bit done at work but went in late since I slept in. Definitley needed that.

Cathy - LOVE the camper.;-) Totally busted a gut with that. Hmmm...I need a gnome *lol*
Jury duty? I hope you took a book. I've gotten called 3 times now I think. You only get called in once every 3 years? I don't think there is a limit for us.
I don't know how to break this to ya, but Cody wanted me to tell you that RB#2 is coming out for the x-box 360 in September so he says it will probably be out soon after that for the Wii. The drums are hard! Cam does pretty well though. Once I get off on it, it's hard to pick back up.
I made the protein pancakes b/c I had cottage cheese that was quickly nearing the expiration date and I got eggs on sale. I like them b/c they make an easy and quick breakfast and are filling.
So what'd ya feel like doing w/o wise today?

Wendy - You got my number don't you?! Lots o' CABs and unhealthy eats are in my near future. I will also be adding in a run or two there as well though. Smores, burgers, chips, ice cream, etc....:9 What a way to end the X huh?
So you'll be in AC on the 4th? Cool! That'll be fun for sure.

Laura - So glad to hear Buster will be just fine. Whew! I'm sure that's a load off your mind. We put Kirby on a senior (low cal) dog food to help with her weight. She would have been just fine weight wise but DH just couldn't stop giving her treats. He's such a push over.
Hope you find some relaxing time this weekend for some fun. All work and no play.....well, you know.;-)

Ange ~ :7 Soon as I saw that camper smiley, it screamed *you.* I did take two books, but it's hard to read for 7 hours straight, ya know. Had to get up and stroll periodically, too. I cannot BELIEVE you can be summoned an unlimited amount of times! ACK! Honestly, I probably will not spring for RB#2. Wendy ~ It's been ages since I dusted off GS Legs. Normally, I don't care for floor work (e.g. it usually involves ankle weights, it seems, which I don't care for), but I love how she uses the ball. Reminds me of Squeeze. That gets tough. But then again the slow lunges nearly made me cry. I'm sure I'll be feelin' it tomorrow. I have not worked legs exclusively in quite a while. Don't ask why. I would say my workouts from March on haven't made all that much sense. *lol*

Hi Ladies,

I'm still around. It's just been really busy with company over the weekend and Jerod's activities etc.

My legs and butt are hurting today from bootcamp last night. For some reason the first night of the each new session is the hardest. We did hundreds of walking lunges-well 8 times across the width of the football field. Of course there was running, back pedaling, shuffling, skipping, hill running, squats, dips, etc. I did my scheduled 3 mile run this morning and followed that up with 4DS back & biceps.

I have an extra BC class on Wednesday to make up for a trainer cancelled session last month. That's 3 BC classes this week. I hope I can walk by then.

Angie-Glad the garage sale was lucrative for you. I think using it for gas money for camping is a great idea; especially with cost of everything right now. Good job getting in the last week of the X before you head out camping.

Cathy-Sorry your team didn't win.:( Great job on that run. I too am playing the weights by ear but I wish I had a rotation to follow. Although with all that's going on I probably wouldn't be able to stick to it.

Wendy-Wanted is a new action movie that was just released (in CO on Friday, the 27th). I liked the action of it, but it was little more bloody than I like. My rec ct is about a 2 min drive-I'm lucky too. Glad you got to enjoy your weekend to yourself!

Laura-Sounds like things are moving along. Sorry that you're not happy about it though. It will be nice to have some of the pics from the beach house in your house. All this moving is working out! I have a really nice desktop at home but would love to have a laptop too. DH plays games and doesn't like to share!

Diana: Your BC instructor is one mean chic, isn't she!? :7 I'd be sore too if I did all that! How's the mary training coming along? Glad you were able to find a chance to post. I worry when someone who usually checks in pretty regularly disappears for longer then usual. :)

Cathy: Any work out is better then no work out so I say as long as you are still plugging along doing SOMETHING then you are doing well. :) Any ideas for you for a rotation in the near future? Speaking of exclusive leg work outs...I haven't done Butt and Guts in ages. I keep thinking that I should but then keep blowing it off. I wonder why!? :p Actually, after using the KB's for a while, B&G may actually seem a bit easier when I finally get around to it! Do you think that's possible!? :7
 
Di ~ Three BC workouts in one week? Crazy stuff!...Actually, I put together a new rotation for myself today. I'll be running 3-4x a week, weights 3x, core 3x, yoga 1x and then an option of k'bells 1x a week.

Wendy ~ Well, work presented some new & unusual challenges this spring, so I can't -- and won't -- berate myself. It happened. Some lbs. were added. But now it's regrouping time. However, I guess I shouldn't have eaten that cheesesteak for lunch. :eek: Oops... I did plan a rotation today. :) I definitely think the kb's work your legs in a surprisingly hard way!

Inquiring minds want to know...what kind of rotation did you work up? Any particular focus? }( IA, do not berate yourself. You did the best you could with the hand you were dealt and that is all that can/should be expected of anyone. :) As for the cheesesteak lunch? Well, I think you know.....:7
 
*lol* Hey, I haven't had a cheesesteak in at least a year!

My rotation generally looks like this:

M- rest
T- legs (+ non-running cardio optional)
W- ub (either CST or BB, most likely), run, and abs
R- *up in the air day* K'bells and/or EXT or run (probably mood dependent)
F- ub (whatever I didn't do on Wed), interval run, and abs
S- yoga + abs
S - long run
 
Heck, with all of the not-so-stellar eats I've been indulging in, I can't say a word about one tiny cheese steak! LOL Glad you enjoyed it!:9 The rotation looks good! Enjoy it!:)
 
OK, it wasn't tiny, and I, uh, ate the whole thing!!! Add that to my not-so-stellar indulgences of late, and yeah. Can you say OINK? :7

OK....thank goodness B&B are ARX are history. I'm so ready to be done with it all ya know?

Cathy - Tis the season for cheats if you ask me. I behave for the first part of the day, it's just the second part I sometimes indulge in.
Oh, I see GS was in your w/o today. Ya, ouchies! I have to make a confession - I never use the ankle weights in her workouts.:7 I just concentrate more on form and get it working right into the butt/thigh. It still hurts!
Your rotation looks solid. I need to get BB out after I get back and torture myself with that and also mix in some Cathe's that I have missed dearly. It will be so nice to do something different, at least until STS arrives.

Wendy - Oh yea! Challenge #2 in CC7 will definitely fit the bill for HIIT.....I'll just leave it at that.;-) *lol* Actually if you have done press play, you have already done that challenge.

Tell DH that's all the more reason you need to get your own laptop...so he doesn't have to share his PC.;-) Sounds good doesn't it?

Ang: I don't have PP yet. It's on my list though!}( I have vols 3-8. I want PP eventually for sure and still debating on wether or not to pick up vols 1 and 2. Right now I am saving my pennies for more KB related purchases though. :7
