Hola, girlies! :) :) :)

I’m back from the wedding cruise!! I did not have much downtime, so I was not able to peek in on the forums while I was away. But hey, I guess that’s how a vacation *should* be, huh? I will try to go back at some point and read what I missed. But for now I’m going to just jump right in from y'day...

Di :: how was the shower? How’s Amanda feeling?

Angie :: glad you enjoyed some time with DH…I am with you ~ I pretty much *despise* showers (no offense to Di ~ I would throw one for my DIL, too! :))…actually, in all candor, I’m not that big into weddings, either…Some people ooh and ahh over rings or dresses and things like that…I just…don’t. It may be because my parents eloped and everyone else in the family always had very simple weddings, no big fanfare at all.

Wendy :: Glad you and DH enjoyed yourselves in Baltimore…It must have been so relaxing for both of you…So, which hotel did you stay in?…Did you stay in the IH area when you went out to the pubs? What’dja eat? Nice job getting in a workout last night!

A short synopsis of the cruise…(same one I posted over at the cheetahs, Wendy)

…Had a great time…we boarded the ship around noontime on Thursday and sailed from Port Canaveral that night…Friday morning we docked in Nassau…nothing special there…I walked around the tourist shopping district for about an hour with my parents and then we returned to the ship to hang out by the pool…where, strangely enough, I met someone…who’da thunk on Disney cruise! *lol*…rocked out that night! Was fun (can you say 48-hour hangover???)…the wedding was on Saturday on the beach in Castaway Cay (which is pronounced “key” – I had no idea)…it was a beautiful setting and a simple service…Afterward, we went back on the ship for champagne and cake…Then it was off to explore the island…I went parasailing and then had a cabana massage (my MT was *rough* - I think it was the most painful massage I’ve ever had, but evidently, I was full of knots)…the final night, we had a very late reception dinner (didn’t end until after 10 pm) in a special restaurant on the ship, where I ran into my friend again in passing, but we missed each other that night, darnit…Spent pretty much the entire day yesterday in transit yesterday and wiped out pretty soon after I got home.

Oh, I did get in one workout on Friday morning...Woke at 6 and hit the fitness center early...Spent 20 min. on the elliptical and then ran 2 miles on the running deck. Beautiful! Saturday was more of a crawl-out-of-bed day, so that didn't happen. *lol*

I’ve started to upload some pictures, so I will share a few when I get a chance.

Have a GREAT Monday! BBL to catch up some more.

Good Morning Cabbettes!:)

Cathy: Glad you had a nice time on the cruise. Sorry you and your friend missed eachother the last night. I always had the knack for meeting people on vacation.
We stayed in a town called "Fells Point" which is on the water right next door to the actual "Inner Harbor" area but I think it's still considered a PART of the inner harbor. It was a cute place called the "Admiral Fell Inn". It was small...only 5 floors of room. It had a bed and breakfast feel with out actually being one. Beautifully appointed. I have to say it was one of the prettiest hotels I've ever been in! It was a little "behind the times" though and I think that was done on purpose as it was supposed to be "charming" and not "state of the art". I couldn't even get room service coffee in the morning so I was forced to cosume the lousy in-room garbage they give you. BLECH! LOL Anyway, this town has something like 120 pub/eateries in it. It was PERFECT for a pub crawl but being the old farts that DH and I can be at times, we opted out of that. LOL On friday night we ate at one of the pubs-DH had crab cakes that he said were awesome and I had a burger. Saturday night was went to a seafood restaraunt that we had picked out ahead of time. It was good. I had flounder and DH had some kind of crab dish again. Again, very good food. For breakfast we ate in our hotel's restaraunt. They had a little buffet. Tastey. For lunch on Saturday we ended up at Pizzaria Uno while at Inner Harbor. DH wanted to go to Cheesecake Factory as he's never been there but the wait was too long.

I am not sure what work out I will do today. I did cardio y'day so it won't be that but I can't decide between an upper or lower body split or a full body work out. Either way, I am keeping my "no iron" promise that I made to myself for this month. :)

Oh, and that reminds me...I am going to try using the bands for the X this time which means for the most part, I WON'T be subbing the weight work. I may sub or add on a more effective leg workout but that's it. I've decided to go DB and BB free for a few months and see what happens. I am enjoying it so far and can't wait to see what it does (doesn't do) for my body. I am only going to use body weight or rubber resistance only. Wish me luck! :)

Okay, I think I'm finally done babbling for now...I am working today so I'll catch you ladies this afternoon!

BBL.

Hi girls!

It's strangely quiet in here for a Monday. It was quiet at work too. I was the only one there, except people kept dropping by and calling....which irritated me a little b/c I was hoping to go thru and clean out some files. I got started but I'll have to go back in tomorrow and clean up some of the mess I made in the process of gutting out my filing drawers. Also, since there was no mail today, I'll have to catch up with the mail and get some bills out as well.

I have a rest day today since Cody has a game tonight. I did Cathe S&H C&B yesterday. My pecs were extremely sore this morning and I'm still feeling them. My back is a bit sore too. I had shakey muscles yesterday so I was pretty sure I was gonna feel it today.

Cathy - Your trip sounds great. It's true that you always meet someone when you're totally not looking. Why is that??? Did you get a phone number? Where does your friend live?
Your hangovers must not incapacitate you like they do me. I have been known to be in bed the whole next day. x( I heard on Manswers this weekend that prikley pear juice caplets taken 5 hours before you drink are supposed to help with hangovers. I'm gonna try it the next time I decide to have a few CABs. I don't drink CABs much anymore b/c I can't stand the wrath the next day. But, I'd love to indulge just once in a while without feeling like crap the next day.
Now.....don't ask me why I was watchin "manswers". LOL! What, can I say? It was a pretty boring weekend here....and not much on TV.:7
Did you have good weather then? I can't wait to see the pics.:)

Wendy - The food sounds delish!! :9 I should've read your post after dinner b/c I'm ready to eat now! *lol*
The bands sound like a great idea! Hmmmmmm....something to consider.
What do you end up doing today?

Hi Laura, Diana, and Nancy

I'll be back after the game to see what ya all have been up to.

Angie

Hi ladies,

The baby shower was great yesterday. I really enjoyed the club house where we had it. It's nice and roomy, with a kitchen, refrigerator and microwave.

Jerod also had a football game yesterday that I had to miss. It was close but his team ended up winning 14-7 in the 4th qtr.

I went to Amanda's Dr. appt today and the girls each weight 2lbs 15oz and are the same size. Also, they are both head down where until now one was head down and the other was breach. That was good to hear.

I haven't worked out yet today, but I've been busy. I do have my meltdown class tonight so I'm not too worried about it. I've been balancing the check book (after waiting almost 2 months-yikes) and I was only off $8. I'm going to try to find that in a few. I'm also filing and cleaing off the computer desk, it is way out of control. Everything seems to get piled up here.

I'm thinking about doing BBC this week-starting tomorrow.

Cathy-Welcome back! The cruise sounds like it was absolutely wonderful. I'm not one for big ceremonies either. I'm more of a plain and simple kinda person. Can't wait to see the pictures.

Wendy-Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend with DH. It's so nice to getaway even if its only for a weekend. Great job getting in a workout yesterday.

Angie-Enjoy your rest day Angie. I'm not much of a drinker, never have been. That's not to say I don't enjoy an amaretto sour on occasion!

Laura-How did your team do this weekend? I hope they won!

Diana

Wendy :: I do, too…Wonder why that is…It is frustrating!...IA Fells Point is great—lots of charming little waterfront pubs and restaurants. Ate the most delicious crab cake sandwich ever there!…Very interesting new take on the X. What prompted you to drop the weights for a bit?

Angie :: I have a big to-do list this week, too…I really should be doing some schoolwork right now, but I am absolutely tuckered…No, no exchange of digits, unfortunately…he lives in St. Louis. *lol*…Yes, I have had those kinds of hangovers before but tend not to rock out THAT hard anymore…however, while on vacation I figured I better enjoy myself and not turn into a pumpkin at midnight (or earlier) *lol*. Yes, we did have great weather…Enjoy your rest day! I am taking one, too.

Di :: glad to hear the babies are well and are in the right position…and that the shower was a success. I hope DS & Amanda are off to a good start in terms of what they’ll need – times two!

Laura :: what's new at the asylum?

Today is normally my yoga or stretch day, but I am opting out. Post-vaca crash. I will hit the sack early.

Strangely, I am experiencing some vertigo today. Last night, too. Not like I get it sometimes where things spin, but it's more of a rocking/swaying sensation. I did not have this after the last time I cruised. It only lasts a few seconds, but it's kind of freaky. I feel like I'm going to fall down. I love sailing and never get seasick. Odd.

Well, have a GREAT night!

Hey!

Just wanted to pop in to say I did BBC full body today.

Tomorrow will be cardio or yoga depending on my mood.

I'll catch up with personals in the morning!

Nighty-night!:)
