Good morning, girls! :) :) :)

Wendy :: What lousy timing it was for your arthritis to kick in at this point. How’s the lower half feeling this morning? I can’t remember how long it took to recover from my half…That was the race that caused me to lose some toenails, so I know I was in pain…I do think a full mary is most definitely within your grasp…absolutely!…It is still something I would like to accomplish myself. I have heard good things about the Disney marathon and have considered going for it in ’09.

Diana :: Awesome calorie burn yesterday!!…Those yoga toes were not cheap but I do think they are helping. I have been using them every other day for about 20-30 minutes a stretch…Oh, I definitely don’t want this to keep me from doing my workouts! Thankfully, I had a gentle yoga on tap last night. I was careful, but by that point in the day, it was nowhere near as bad as it was in the AM.

Angie :: What you’re saying about the employee situation does make sense to me. Is DH truly siding with one or the other, or is he also acknowledging Jim’s POV when he’s talking to Mike and vice versa?…My fender bender was at the end of June…Great job going heavy on CST…I have BC on the schedule for tonight, too. Can’t wait!

Laura :: hope you're OK and just busy!

Tonight's workout will be BC (yay!) and the bi's and tri's. Guess I'd better do the weights first.

Good Morning Cabbers!:)

My neck is still hurting and my legs are still "tender". No work out for me today unless dose #3 of my arthritis med kicks in GOOD between now and nap time but I doubt it. It will hopefully make it BETTER but probably will not relieve it well enough for me to want to work out. :-(

Cathy: Funny, I was talking to DH about the Disney Marathon the other day too! I would love to do something like that but I couldn't go down to Disney with out wanting to hit the parks! Running a full Marathon and running around Walt Disney World all in the same vacation doesn't seem like a SMART idea! LOL

Okay, I'm outta time now...I'll be back after work!

Morning girlies;-)

I was hoping to escape all of your yucks, but it looks like they may have caught up with me. I started getting a sore throat before bed last night and got up in the middle of the night for a drink....ouch! It was like drinking a cup of razor blades. So, I was gonna sleep in this morning and wouldn't ya know it....I just don't feel like it.:7 The coffee does seem to help the throat though....guess I'll just have to drink coffee all day!:D

Cathy - I forgot to mention that your into. yesterday cracked me up. I like to move it move it! Cracks me up when I think about that part in the movie.
OK, spill it, why do the weights first in BC? I haven't done it before so what am I getting myself into?
What in the heck are yoga toes?
Wouldn't it be great if you and Wendy did a full mary together?? You two would be a great pair and have so much fun running thru that pain.}(
Good point about DH acknowledging the guys POV. That's probably why he's such a good people person. He definitely allows people around him to keep their pride, which is a wonderful trait. I, on the other hand, am typically stubborn and have already made up my mind on the situation. I don't generally pussyfoot around a situation and he's doing that right now. Just different ways of dealing with things I guess. I'm sure his way is much more effective in the long run, but short term......he still has a mess on his hands. But, I have decided to let it be his mess. When it gets to the point of being too unmanageable for him, he'll be forced to take action one way or another.

Diana - Whew! Sounds like a wild w/o yesterday! Anytime I do a good 600 calorie w/o, I get so darned hungry and eat up my deficit for the day. }( Grrrrrrrr! Darned body seems accustomed to a set amount of calories and doesn't like to fall below.:-(
What kind of foot problems do you have?
Thanks also for your thoughts on the situation. I would like to say that these 2 "men" are mature enough to sit down and work this out, but if that were the case, we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with.}( As far as acceptable resolutions, DH did have our employee try to talk to Mike and try to work something out, but apparently that didn't work out. Instead of that, I do think it would've been better to have the 3 of them try and talk it out......oh, the drama. Working with MEN is not supposed to be like this!
Section 3 of HIS is tricky for sure. I think it's b/c of the time facing away from the step. I did LIS and HIS with an 8" step and it was fine.

Hey Wendy - missed your post. *lol* about the Disney vacation/marathon. You are right, probably not the best vacation idea.:)
Hope your aches and pains are history soon. You'll feel like a new woman this weekend. Did you weigh yourself when you got back home from the half? It was probably the last thing on your mind, but it would've been interesting to see how many pounds you ran away.....I'd bet it would be quite a few.

Morning ladies ..

I am back .. Friday was out of the office at an all day safety event and I was on vacation yesterday .. we went to the beach house and had a ball ....

my team LOST ... OMG ... it was so sad!! BUT we did not get our butt kicked like everyone thought either! it was close and came down to the last MINUTE ... the ref made a bogus call ... and IMO it should have been reviewed and reversed ... and our coach did not even put up a fight for it ... NOR did he take the remaining time outs that he should have .. very fishy if you ask me .. seemed kind of bought off!!! My LA buds were excastatic and VERY cocky about it .. oh well!! to add insult to injury .. our RIVAL team STOMPED their opponents ... and they were NOT predicted to .. so I am having to put up w/a lot of loud mouth Bama fans .... funny they got so quiet when they were loosing now all of a sudden they are loud and in our faces .. aahhhhhhh ... they are all obnoxious x(

anywho .. glad all of you held down the fort ... and exercised for me. I drowned my ballgame sorrows w/MANY CABS!!! so going to have to put in extra effort to burn some calories this week!

the asylum is extra busy .... and I am playing catch up! so with that I am going to DRAG my sorry butt through this miserable day! LOL Then work the crap out of my class tonight!}(

Afternoon girls

The new BC is now history. I just jumped into it without a preview. OK Cathy, now I can see why you might like to try it doing the weights first. I loved the intervals....they didn't catch up to me until they were done...then BAM....got really short of breath. I like the variety! Except that last one with the push ups....when she tricked me and did 8 on the last set, I was expecting only 1. I did the 1 and then got up and saw she was still going....I thought, you go girl as I stayed upright marching. lOL! The weights were tough! I'm definitely going lighter than Cathe. Geez.....just when I thought I was right there with her...she leaves me in the dust. I thought she was gonna pyramid back down on those tri's and thought, there's no way in hell I'm doing a 30# weight there. Then at the end, it took me a few minutes just to pick up my mess.:) She sure does use a lot of equipment. Unbelievable!! Love it!!!

Laura - Awwwwwwww.....sorry you're team lost.:( Glad you had fun at the beach house.:) Have fun with a torture class tonight.

I'd better get some housework done, especially since I got my w/o done early. My throat is feelin' better so hopefully BC knocked the snot out of whatever it was that was causing it. More coffee on the way.....

Hi Ladies,

I did KB and legs this morning. I really prefer hour long cardio sessions, seems like I'm just warmed up and then it's time for weights. I though the leg w/o was okay, she has others I like better. Cathe's cuiung isn't the best either. I can definitely tell I worked my back yesterday, but no chest doms. I really liked the bi's & tri's too but don't have any doms from that either. Wow, I sound like a buzzkill this morning don't I?

Cathy-glad to hear you are feeling better. I always do weights before cardio, personal preference I guess. However, I have started out doing the 4DS as produced just so I know what's coming. Also, since they are so short, I don't like separating the wu from the rest of the cardio. BC is pretty fun IMO.

Angie-Sorry your not feeling well, it sounds like we've been passing this illness around through cyberspace. Yeah, she really tricks us with those last 8 pushups. I previewed it so I knew it was coming. I have a stress fracture in my left foot that is currently flaring up and a bunion that will need surgery at some point. I've also had 2 bunionectomies on my right foot about 10 yrs apart. Now I have screws and pins in there holding everything in place. If you google yoga toes you can see what they are. They supposedly stretch and realign the bones in your toes and help prevent and correct bunions. For me I think they are certainly worth a try.

Wendy-How are you feeling today, better I hope. The disney marathon would be so much fun. Wouldn't that be great if you and Cathy could run it together.:)

Laura-Thank goodness you were on vacation and not locked in the asylum all weekend. Sorry your team lost, but you'd be the cocky one if your team had one-come on-you know it. You can take your anger out on your class tonight.

Hey Diana - I gotta know if you do Amy Bento's cardio. I just previewed her new cardio....and I've never done a Bento w/o....but boy does it look complicated. I did, however, order the slo-mo after reviewing the preview. I gotta stay off the main boards...it's killin my wallet. LOL! It has 185 minutes of w/o plus 3 premixes. The exercises look really interesting and I just couldn't help myself. Seems like a pretty good deal....it was $20.95 with shipping and I guess they are going to be shipped sometime late next week. I think I have lost my mind!!!!:D

These new workouts are like an updated CTX aren't they? They are going to take some getting used to, but now that I have done them all in their entirety, it's time to pre-mix them up.:)

Yeowch! OK...I need to stop complainin' about my plantar fascitis. Sounds like you have a lot of hardware in your foot. Do you get arthritic pain with that too?

BTW, I was really glad to see your post today. I was hoping that psycho man didn't have something to do with the reason we hadn't heard from you. How's your friend doing?

You can sure tell I did my w/o early....now I'm being little miss unproductive! Time to put away the credit card and do up the dishes and laundry.:-( What a buzz kill.:p

I don't have much time. Just wanted to pop in and say hello before I leave for my MIL's house.

No work out for me today but there has been a notable improvement in my neck since last night. I am on my way!!! Perhaps tomorrow will be the day but if not then definately Thursday I am thinking!:) I can't wait. I'm getting antsy!}(

Ok .. so you do know me!!! SIL and I both are a bit obnoxious when it comes to Auburn!! We have to put my big dogs outside when we watch the game at my house b/c we jump up and down and scream and curse at the TV .. Buster thinks we are being attacked or something!! LOL .. he tries to jump up and he barks even louder than we yell ... our game days are usually not G rated ... LOL!!!

Think I may have to go down and woop some Auburn hinies in shape and give our coach a good "coaching" myself!!! :+

Angie ... the stalker guy is still stalking but thankfully he has stopped calling ME!! And my friend went out (in another town) and got a taste of the single life and man did she ever have a good time ... so I am thinking if he keeps stalking her she will eventually be forced to get a restraining order ... that would be the best thing for her and her daughter!

Diana .. man your poor foot ... and as hard as you work your lower body .. OUCH .. gotta be a bit painfull!!

Cathe and Wendy.. 1/2 marathon AND Disney?? heck after a day or two at Disney you will feel like you ran a WHOLE marathon!!!

Wendy .. hope you are feeling better .. it is actually raining here today .. thank YOU LORD ABOVE .. and my knee aches when it rains .. but I am not complaining we need the rain so bad .. bring it on .. I can take it ... but pain of any kind I try to do my best to avoid!! LOL

OK ... better run ... about to slap down some major calorie burning cardio (step and PLYO) on my girls!!

Hey Girls,

I was able to go out for a brisk 40 min walk this afternoon between meetings. Sometimes its just nice to get some fresh air.

Angie-I have Amy Bento's kickox xtreme which I really like. Her choreography is somewhat complex (to me anyway-for kickbox) but I've picked it up after a couple of times. This dvd also has APX (all pump xtreme)weight premixes included but I've only previewed those, never done one. I've heard that we should expect good things from her to come.

Wendy-sounds like you are on the mend. It takes a few days for your body to recover.

Laura-I knew you were a rowdy football fan and I think its great!!! I'm glad your friend was able to go out and enjoy herself. She will have to make the RO decision on her own terms and that can be really difficult when you think you love someone. Have you though of taping your w/o's and sending them to us so we can participate too? I know Cathy and Angie would join in and Wendy tries everything so you already have a cyber class ready to take on whatever torture you bring us!
