Cabs & Abs Relaxing Sunday

Good morning cabbers - http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Drinks/drinking-coffee.gif

Oh crap....it's raining here today.:( I guess that means its a cleanmax day. I didn't tackle any cleanmax yesterday so I guess I'm due. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Others/washing-machine-181.gif It may even be a day that includes the Wii. I like the mario kart, but I'm not very good at it. We played online a few weeks back and I always ended up last. I guess I need some practice. Today is a rest day for me, so I'm hoping to be able to start into my book while watching the race. :) Nothing too stressful for today.
Last night was really fun. The food was great and the company was fun. We sat by the pool until the sun went down and then sat by the fire and stared at the wide open sky. It was absolutely georgeous. It makes me grateful to live in northern Michigan.

Wendy - I'm dying to know how the race went. Is today a rest day?

Cathy - Yup, the boredom factor is hard to overcome. I'm sure hoping and thinking that STS will put a kybosh to that.:) So is TT a pay as you go program? That could get expensive eh?
*lol* about the running getting in the way of the CABs. Hmmmmm, that might possibly have something to do with my slacking endurance.
Oh cool - a whole month of fussball! http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Leisures_and_Sports/soccer-007.gif Awesome that the timing is just right for you to be able to sit back and enjoy it without a whole lot gettin in your way. I love getting psyched up about sports....it's a nice stress reliever.
Hopefully that long run goes well for you today. Sending nice weather vibes your way for it. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Nature/rainbow1.GIF

Diana - What ya got on the adjenda for today. Knowing your workout routine, today will NOT be a rest day. *lol*

Gotta go for now - Cody just made me breakfast and it smells good.:9

Good morning & happy Sunday! :) :) :)

ANGE!! :7 ~ Had to laugh about your reaction to the rain. Ha! My plans mirror yours--cleaning, reading, and well, watching the game, natch (LOVE that soccer smiley, BTW.) What are you reading now?...IA, STS should alleviate the restlessness! :)...Your night last night sounded fun. Love hanging out at night by a fire & gazing up at the skies. Throw in some marshmallows, and I'm golden. :)...I haven't touched the Wii in about a month, either. I guess it'll see more use during the winter months...TT charges a monthly membership, I think. I'm pretty tech-abled, but I don't find the site easy to navigate, so I couldn't even ascertain how much it is. Regardless, there are too many expenses and not enough income coming in at the moment to justify another subscription when I have a cabinet full of kick-arse workouts to choose from...Very sweet of Cody to make breakfast. You are trainin' 'em well!..enjoy your rest day! :) :) :)

Hey Di...hope you're enjoying your day, whatever you're doing.

I overslept (by two hours!) this morning. Heard my alarm and managed to shut it right off and return to slumberland. :) So, I left a little later than planned for my long run. Was shooting for 11-12 and managed 11. Luckily, there was some cloud cover for part of the run, so I didn't have to contend with the sun for the entire run, but the humidity is up, up, UP again, and that makes for tough running for me. Feels good, though, to have it out of the way.

Morning Cathy - Wow! Awesome run already this morning. Ahhhh, an extra 2 hour snooze in the morning. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Sleepy/sleep-004.gif You must have needed it. Now you'll be more refreshed for the rest of your day.
I wish we lived closer. We could watch that game together. When does it start?
I'm starting "The Hunted". I just swagger down the isle in the library and grab anything that looks interesting. It's an adult vampire story. Although, I still haven't finished Beagles for Dummies. At this point though, it looks like it may be a while before we are blessed with our beagle. There are NO female beagle pups to be found anywhere, but there are 2 litters on the way in the fall. We were hoping to get one this summer so it would have more company (the boys) and be easier to potty train. We've found 7 male pups, but I need to balance out the hormones in this house and am not willing to settle for a male.
Oh I love the night sky on a clear night. I even saw a couple of shooting stars last night. It was just perfect! We were so stuffed from all of the food that marshmellows were NOT necessary. *lol* But, the subject did come up as we were sitting there.:7
Our Wii has been smokin busy since the boys got out of school. But, they also got a library book so they WILL be doing some reading as well. I'm such a mean mom.}(
Cody wants to know if you are getting the Aerosmith GH. He's also looking forward to the Metallica GH that's supposed to be coming out soon. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Music/electric-guitar-054.gif

Angie ~ I am refreshed and ready for CABs during the game! :) I would love it we lived closer to one another. We'd definitely have to hang. The game starts at 2:45...I do enjoy vampire stories/movies but haven't picked up anything like that in awhile. At some point, I want to get to the Twilight series this summer. It's young adult fiction and the kids have been eating it up, but I hear adults dig it, too...*lol* about seeking the hormone balance. My fingers are crossed that you'll find a pup soon!...I wasn't planning on getting the Aerosmith one. Now if the 80s GH came out for Wii, I'd be ALL OVER that! :7

"Do you want to feel my spatula?" Run, Fat Boy, Run

Hi ladies,

I've been busy paying the bills this morning and shredding old documents. I shredded 2 yrs worth of taxes and and bank statements yesterday and that's what got me started shredding. My files are full and needed some cleaning up.

It will be a weight day for me but I haven't decided whether to do a full body, or a split. Whatever I choose will include legs though.

I also need to get my coupons together and make a grocery list. I'm starting to dread going to the grocery store as much as I do the gas station. To make matters worse, Public Service (gas & electricity) announced rates are going up 47% next month. The house also needs vacuumed and the basement stuff (cody & amanda's stuff from the apartment) rearranged so we can move the old TV down there and get the new hooked up.

I'm still reading the NROL book-but it only seems to be a few pages at night so it's taking a long time. I need to weigh and measure etc and it's just so discouraging to me. I know you need to have a starting point to track progress but it's just hard for me.

Cody and Amanda came back yesterday afternoon. They ended up going back to SIL's though as SIL & family missed their connection and won't be getting back until this morning. They have two golden retrievers that cannot be left unattended.

Angie-Nice of Cody to make you breakfast. I just finished a bowl of fiber one, chocolate protein powder and skim milk! I finally played guitar hero for the first time a couple of weekends ago with Amanda. Neither one of us had ever played before. I think I played Slow Ride about 10 times and the song seemed to go on forever! Amanda & I had a great time but Jerod just couldn't take how slow we were.

Cathy-great job getting in 11 miles. I struggled with 6 miles yesterday. In my younger years I ran every morning before work 4-6 miles. With my first marathon training run the weather was perfect and reminded me why I liked those early morning runs so much.

Wendy-how was your race yesterday? Is today a rest day for you? Do you have any suggestions on what type of weight training program I should follow during the marathon training? I don't know if I should stick to total body wt training 2 to 3 times per week or do a split routing or does it really matter.

Laura-hope you are having a great weekend.

Di

Ummmmm....I really should get the heck off the computer and get into something other than jammies. *lol* Ah heck, it's what Sundays were made for right?

Cathy - CABs and a good game - now THATS LIFE! LOL! There will be no CABs for me today as I had plenty last night. Thankfully I don't get hangovers with the UV blue, but I have a hard time getting quality sleep due to the night sweats I get when I drink it. I guess I'll be more prepared for menopause when it happens. *lol*
Is the Twilight series spooky? Cody just picked out the "Cirque Du Freak" series from Darren Shan. I've never heard of it before but it looks interesting. I told Cody I might just have to snag that book from him when he's done. It's also a vampire series.
Wouldn't an 80's hairband GH be da bomb?!? I wonder if they are considering doing that?
Thanks for the beagle well wishes. I guess it'll happen when it's supposed to happen. Fate will decide when we are ready. I just wish fate would hurry the heck up!

Diana - You are a brave girl going thru those files. I'm such a pack rat when it comes to files. I think I have credit card statements going back to the early 90's. Yikes!
I don't like to do measurements either. In fact, I haven't even done my weekly weight in a couple of weeks due to vacations and pure forgetfulness.
I'm just barely on the medium level for GH. I drive the boys crazy with my slowness too. IA, the songs do seems to drag on and on and on. *lol*
Hopefully STS will be the answer for you after that marathon. I soooo hope that it will be in our hands by then.

Wendy - Where are ya girl???
