Diana :: *lol* about your last post, complaining about the house. Step Sweatfest - is that Tracey Staehle?

Well, the scale did me dirt. Today is the official WI day, and I was up 4 lbs. from yesterday. (For those who weren't around this weekend, yesterday the scale told me I'd lost 5 lbs. this week.) I guess I should've known that was too good to be true and it must have reflected a water fluctuation. BOOOOOOO! So, last week I lost 1.4 lbs, which is good but nowhere near as good as 5!! *lol* Anyway, I think I might go to weighing myself daily, just so I can get a better feel for the fluctuations.

Aside from the scale bummer, this morning I feel like crud. Sore throat, achy, all that jazz. That bug I was fighting off a week or so ago finally caught up with me. No wonder since I spent the day yesterday grading and handling student notebooks, and I wasn't as careful about not eating or touching my face. Reminds me of a seasoned colleague at my old school who used to grade papers with big rubber gloves on, and I thought that was kind of harsh, but I have to say, I get it now. This endless cycle of germs is just ridiculous. My dilemma is whether or not to call out. The kids are off and we have an in-service, so a substitute is not required. I haven't been sick on a day like this before, so I don't know what the protocol is, and there is no one I can call and ask at this hour.

Well, regardless, I will BBL to see what you're all up to. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Cathy: Sorry you feel lousy. I hope you figure out how to call out today. I think you need a day of rest. I hope you have not given up on the airborne. It should help shorten the duration and possibly the severity of your illness if you continue to take it. Let us know if you were able to call out and check in later after you've rested some.

So I had a great time this weekend. It was filled with food, drink, some gambling, a night of dancing and alot of hangin' out and laughing. I was sorry to have to leave but my time was up. :-( My BF is still there with another friend this morning since they are lucky enough to have the day off. I'll get the update of what they did after I left once she gets home this afternoon.

I got in a 25 minute interval run on saturday in the gym at the hotel and rested y'day. Today I will get back to BBC. I'll start it off with the full body work out. The DOMS cycle is going to start all over again and I just got rid of it as of yesterday. YIKES! LOL

Off to get more coffee and start getting ready for work.

Hey Wendy,

I've been an Airborne user for several years now, and it has worked for me quite a few times in the past. (Sorta depends on when you catch it.) But I only took it the one day (I guess that was last week?) and then felt better. This morning I downed another glass but have only one tablet left, so I'll need to run out later and get some more.

I couldn't reach anyone in the office and thought I would just go in and slog through the day, but as I was just about to head out the door, I had to BARF. Bleccchhhhhh! *Hate* that! Needless to say, I am home. I sent an email and texted a colleague to make sure the office knows.

Glad you girls enjoyed yourselves this weekend. Sounds like fun!! How did it work out with chaps? ;)...Good job getting in a run on your getaway.

Morning Ladies!

I a am back! Made it home w/o a problem .. then STAYED there .. LOL!! Had a nice family weekend .. brother stayed close!! Although I stayed at home .. man was I ever busy ..seemed it was one thing after another! Friday - my cash was out of balance .. and I ended up working late and missing the visitation .. never found the money.. ???x(

The XSO of my friend did show up at visitation .. but w/o incident .. he was "warned" to stay away from the funeral .. and he did. So .. maybe he is regaining some of his senses!!:)

I think the weather and the nonstop going this weekend .. I managed to hit a "pig out binging" thing yesterday .. I guess Friday and Sat. I did not eat enough .. and Sun. I found myself eating anything that was not nailed down!x( NO SCALES for me thank you!

Today is back to work .. try to find the $$$$$ from Friday ... researching my tapes ...

"Di" .. (love it) .. the jean problem .. the jean that fits me best is Jr. Duck Head jeans, and Levi low rise (although they do pucker in the back), I also like the low rise Old Navy reg. jeans .. the stretch ones fit me best. I don't have the big hip problem (narrow hips) .. but I do have the ghetto booty (poochy booty) problem .. so it is still hard to find a jean that does well on me ..b/c if they are slender in the leg and hips then the butt will not fit into them .. LOL .. and my waist is not much smaller than the hips ... soooooo there in lies a problem also! we don't have anywhere that carries Lucky jeans .. but if I could find a pair and try them on I would pay the big bucks if I liked the way they fit!:)

Cathy.. HATE the scale .. I never weigh ... only if I feel I have lost major weight or gained major weight .. b/c looking at those numbers is like mind torture! Weight is determined by food, water, muscles, dehydration/hydration, calorie consumption, PMS, and you literally can fluctuate 5 pounds within a given day .. so screw the scales!! someone can weigh heavy but be muscular and fit .. then others weight very little but have fat all over their bodies .. so SCREW the scales . LOL!:D

Wendy .. sounds like you had a blast this weekend ... girls night out is always so much fun!!!

OK .. so today .. not sure if I will make the gym .. have some errands to run .. see how fast that goes. Then tonight's class will be circuit class!!}( maybe I won't be as sore as I was from LAST week's circuit class!

Laura :: hope you get that cash problem figured out!...Glad the weekend was uneventful...I wish I could say SCREW the scale, but I'm a slave to the scale right now. I'm committed to this WW thing and still have fat/lbs. to lose. Enjoy tonight's circuit!

Hi Ladies,

After lounging around yesterday I started my week with Imax 2 this morning. It was fun since I haven't done it for a while and couldn't remember the blasts. I'm doing heavy legs at the rec ctr this afternoon.

Cathy-sorry you are sick, hope you get well soon. Yes, Step Sweatfest is Tracey Staehle and it looks really fun. I'm going to try cleaning it and see if that does the trick. Your weight is down and 1-2 lbs per week is what should be expected. Keep up the good work.

Wendy-Wow, you even got in a run on your girl's weekend out. Now that's dedication. Your ready for BBC DOMS already!

Laura-I hate being out of balance-I bet it's driving you crazy that you never found the missing $$. I am determined to find cute jeans that fit. I hate to mention it, but I am starting to think about lipo on the thighs and hips. You've never mentioned binging before, sorry to hear about that. I struggle with binge eating and do much better if I eat a little bit all day long.

Angie-are you back? How is MIL? Hope you had a great weekend.

No time for lunch workout .. only got to do errands .. but they were HAVE TO's!

Di .. I RARELY go on eating binges .. but the PMS monster is sneaking up on me .. and I did not eat enough Sat. {skipped supper}.. so that is the main reason I was insatiable! and I usually pig out on chips and cheese ..LOL .. yesterday was cheese, chips and MEAT .. was craving meat! LOL .. so I fixed up some beef stroganoff for supper ... mmm mmm mm .. it was awesome!!

the thought of lipo scares the crap out of me ....I have seen shows on it .. and OMG .. OMG .. it just looks so dang painful. I would have to give up on CABS and up the exercise b-4 I took a stab at that (pardon the pun)

the only place I really have any fat is the pooch on the stomach .. if I could just shift it up and deposit it on my boobs I would be sooooo happy!!! lol :7

Ok .. going to try some new torture circuit drills tonight .. should be a fun class .. Monday's are always packed but I think I will be able to manage it!! we will see!!:7
 
GRRRR...I blew off BBC. I just didn't wanna work out. I am planning/hoping to get to the gym tonight while DH is at bowling. I will likely do an Itrain wether it be just a run or perhaps I'll try the full body elliptical circuit work out I haven't done yet. We'll see....

BBL for personals...I need to use my steam mop now!:D
 
I am back. I mopped my kitchen and bathroom. I am happy. :)

I can't wait to get to the gym now. The guilt is growing about blowing off my work out and I want to get it done before I get too tired and lose the motivation again. I am going to wait until DH gets home first so I can give him and DS some dinner beforehand. I think I am going to take my new elliptical circuit work out and just run on the TM during the elliptical portions and do the weight work as prescribed. I think it's just under an hour long. Should be perfect. :)

Hi Ladies.

I ended up doing just what I said. I took the new IClimb Circuit to the TM and ran for the cardio. I liked the work out but chose a set of weights that was too light for my legs, back and bi's. I will need to have atleast one more set of DB's with me next time. :) Tomorrow I plan on working legs since they didn't get much of a work out today. I'll either be doing something B&G or BBC Butt and Legs. Either way I plan on further torturing myself with BBC B&L cardio when I done with the weight work. Hurts so good!}( :p

Cathy: I hope you got to the store for some airborne tody and hope you are feeling a bit better after resting today. Oh and don't feel bad. I could never toss my scale either. I am very attached to it. ;) I don't let the actual # affect me but I DO use it as a gauge to know if I am losing/gaining. I could never live with out it.

Laura: I have the Old Navy stretch Diva (lowest rise) and I LOVE them! I have a pair of regular Diva (no stretch) and am not fond of them. I have one pair of Lucky's Maggie style jeans and OMG they are FABULOUS! I got them at an outlet so I paid 1/2 price for them but let me tell you they are worth the full price! AWESOME! I am getting another pair!!!!}( Glad your friend's X behaved himself at the visitation. Hopefully this is the start of things calming down in that situation.

Ladies: What is more impressive then ME getting a run in while in A/C is that the 2 girls I was with are my training clients and I got THEM to work out WITH ME!! They did the half hour of cardio with me and then did abs on the machines which I didn't even do!!!!!! I've created MONSTERS! I LOVE IT!}( :7 }(

ETA: I almost forgot! I had gotten dressed for the gym in a racer back tank and was putting my hair in a p-tail in the bathroom while DH was getting ready for bowling. He looked at me from behind and couldn't stop talking about the definition in my back, arms and shoulders he was seeing! Needless to say I WAS THRILLED!:+ :+ :+ I told him that I owe the back def to pull ups for sure so now he wants to start doing them with regularity!!! GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!

Evening girls!

Why do Mondays exist??? I didn't even get to get the work done that I needed to because it was Columbus day without any mail.:( Won't bore you with the details.....but work sucked! Typical Monday I guess.

On a better note however, the reunion was great! I had a TON of fun....and paid for it dearly on Sunday.:( Thankfully I didn't get as sick at Cathy today, but I had absolutely NO energy. I took a nap on the way home, got home and took a nap on the couch, and then went to bed at 9pm. You'd never guess that I had a ton of stuff to do since I slept the whole day away...
I did get a lot of complements which made me soooo happy! I was talking to a classmate when I heard DH say P90X in the background. I found out later one of my other classmates was asking him how I got so skinny. LOL! The only thing that made me mad was that I had never been to the place we had the reunion and asked the girl who was organizing it what to wear....whether it was jeans, slacks, or dress pants. She said super casual...jeans would be just fine. So, I wore jeans and found out when we got there that it was a pretty ritzy place. Grrrrrr! I was ready to turn around and walk right back out! We graduated from a farming community and we have always had super casual reunions.....I had no idea that this would be any different. Of coarse, there were some others there who wore jeans, but not many and I was embarrassed....and proceeded to bitch about it to anyone who would listen. Other than that, I proceeded to drink a few too many beers but had a really good time. :)

Cathy - Yup - the wedding w/o is an old Cathe....I think she still sells it on her site. It's more of a beginners workout, but you will still get a good sweat if you put your all into it.
Sure hope you got out of that sports bra....LOL. I have a habit of sometimes getting my pony tail wound up in it when I take it off.....that kinda hurts.:-(

Crud on the barfing. That is never fun.....and it especially sucks when it's not self-inflicted. I hope it is just a 24 hour thing.

Diana - Just read your DH's comments about the CABs and ABs thing. Your DH is a hoot. (inserting owl smilie) lol.
That stinks about the football.....how does a kid get away with outright punching?? Have the refs not heard of un-sportmanlike conduct?? That is horrible!
Funny you should mention IMAX2....I have that one on tap tomorrow after major cleanmax. I'm throwing a party on Saturday and I have a lot of work to do! Actually my mom is coming over in the morning to help spiffy up the house....she is a godsend! It gives us a good chance to visit and she is one hell of a cleaner....I love my mommy!!
MIL got out of the hospital today. She looks much better! They adjusted some of her meds and it seems to be helping already. DH picked her up and took her out to lunch and to the grocery store before bringing her home. He said she seemed pretty relaxed, which is unusual for her on a good day....so I think it was really good for her. :)

Wendy - AC sounds like it was a lot of fun. Did you win any money?
You are a dedicated exerciser to do a w/o on vacation. I did play golf but used a cart.:p I still had DOMS in my low abs/obliques because of the golf swing. I golfed a 47 on 9 holes which was really good for me. Hmmmmm....I might have to give this golf thing another shot.
Way to go in getting your friends to workout! That's awesome! You are a born PT for sure girl.

Laura - Glad you had a safe weekend. I would not like the drama in your life. Too bad that dude doesn't just go away already. How's your friend doing....is she feeling any safer?
Hope you get the $$$$ problem figured out. It's frustrating when that stuff happens.
Ummmm...I wanna move the back of my thighs to my boobs. It seems like there's more jiggling goin on back there when I run than there is in the front if ya know what I mean.:eek:
The knee must be doing better today if you are going to do the circuit drills.:)
I just bought a scale before P90X to gauge my progress. I still use it just so that I don't get to go hog wild without any accountability. I hadn't had one in such a long time that I let my weight get away from me. I weigh myself once a week just to make sure I don't fall off the wagon too far.

OK - rambled on long enough. Cleanmax and IMAX2 tomorrow. I check with you all tomorrow
