Wendy :: BF is doing AWESOME! I think it just takes a little taste of success to get you goin’. She’s done *phenomenally* in the first month!… I did these outside after my run on a slight hill and wasn’t sure a few times if I was going to be able to get back out of the lunge! *lol* Usually a run will loosen up the DOMS, but it didn’t this time. I truly felt it with every step. So, nope, no weights necessary, baby!

Today will be Baron’s Long & Lean for the first time. I woke up early enough to do this in the AM but decided a nice, good yoga session would be an ideal way to decompress and stretch out AFTER work. However, it’s my goal to do Wednesday & Friday’s workouts (HSC & HST) in the AM.

Cathy: Great job on the walking lunges! Once I B&G myself out (LOL) I am gonna get back to the ITread n Tush and will keep adding the walking lunges on the end of it like I did last time. It was a great addition to ENSURE I had DOMS the next day!}( I would love to add them into BF's routine but her knees aren't the greatest (partially due to some arthritis but the extra weight makes it worse)so I've had to take out even stationary lunges right now. When she is down a good amount of weight I will try to add 'em back in and perhaps walking lunges will be a possibility down the line. Sorry about the 1 pound up. It's not a lot though. You can easily drop that extra pound plus one or two more this week! GO GO GO!!!!:+

I have a plan for this week that is quite different from what I have been doing since January. I am planning on doing some cardio 5-6 days this week!:eek: I have been eating like cr@p so I feel like the extra cardio push could do me good some good. It will also be a change of pace which is always nice. I am using some of the BBC work outs + B&G and, ofcourse, I will be running!}(

Today is BBC arms and abs + short cardio (either BBC non-tm or a ctx cardio)

Morning Ladies ..

had an interesting weekend .. first let me say...

"WAAAAAAAAR D@mn EAGLE" .. that is right we WON against 4th ranked Florida!!:D :D :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 .. I know ya'll aren't football groupies .. but DANG that was GREAT!!! our rival team LOST!! }( .. OK .. I gave up my run for a day of FOOTBALL .. first my second team LSU .. won! Second game was rival team .. they lost! last but certainly not least my TIGERS!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!:7

spent the rest of the night on the phone .. exclaiming from the tops of my lungs .. WAAAAARRRRRRRR EAGLE!! }( SIL is hoarse from screaming at the TV .. she is a bigger War Eagle fan than me .. !!! LOL

Yesterday DH and I went shopping .. LOL ... so again missed my workouts! OH WELL .. it is back to business today!!

had shocking news yesterday .. the friend that just broke up w/the SO ... remember I told you she was going to Thunder Beach for the weekend to get away. Well .. long story short ... the EX SO ended up camping out at her house .. in wait for her to come home .. he stayed all night and was shooood away the next morning by her cousin .. well he lost it .. and went psycho and tried to kill himself .. Angie or Cathy think one of you two called it that he sounded scary!! WELLL .. I shutter to think what would have happened if she were to have come home to find him in her house .. :eek: .. Thank GOD she was out of town. The police interviend and took him away in handcuffs ... to be "evaluated" .. my friend is scared to death .. and worried ... and guilt ridden . she is a wreck... just a horrible situation .. and what is bad I fear what will happen when he is released!!

ahhhhhhh .. . anyway ... what a freaking weekend!!

Today it is back to reality .. no more birthday celebrating .. no more goofing off .. no more breaks .. gotta get my @$$ in gear and start watching the diet and upping the exercise!!:7

OK .. will BBL for personals .. IF the asylum allows .. it is the first of the month and it is CRAZY here! (what else is new?)

Good Afternoon Girls.

Laura: Is this the friend with the over-bearing SO who never shows up anywhere or if she does it's only for a very short time??? YIKES, that's scarey! It's nuts to think how unstable a person can be and you don't necessarily realize it until you make them unhappy!:eek: There was a shooting not too long ago in a mall that I went to all of the time when I was growing up. It's a mall I STILL frequent if I need to go to one! Some guy who apparently was "obsessed" with this girl (they both worked in the mall and I guess became friendly with one another) walked into her store when she was working one day, shot her in the face and then shot and killed himself! I shudder to think what kind of world I am raising my child in. I am truly afraid for him. It's sooo very sad. :-(

Well, my brain wants to work out but my arse won't get off the chair and do it! LOL

I am going to atlantic city with some friends from friday to sunday...I am sooo excited and ready to go! I have to drop DS off at MIL's at 3pm friday afternoon and then I am GOOOOONE!}( I'll definately be tipping back the CABS this weekend!:9

Okay...I'm going to try and convince my butt that it needs to work out...Off to have a little talk with my rear-end now....Buh bye!:7
 
Hi Ladies,

Well I did get my workout in yesterday as planned. GS C&T, coremax 3 and CF mix N match premix. This morning I did Imax 3 and will be heading to the rec ctr shortly for some heavy leg work. I love not having the phones!

Cathy-Great job with those walking lunges! I'm glad to hear your spending time with the step. HSC and HST are great ones. Enjoy your yoga tonight. I just w/o when I can and since I don't have phones this week I have no excuse to not make it to the rec ctr.

Wendy-I am a cardio junkie and I think the BBC non treadmill cardio's are hard. Good luck with those.:) Stepping is fun too you know!!

Laura-so it's back to business for you. You had an exciting football weekend and I'm sure all that jumping around and hollering burned some calories, right:) Wow, I would be very concerned for your friend. Who knows what this guy will do when he is released. She may want to consider a restraining order. I'm sure she is an emotional wreck right now and thankfully she has a friend like you to lean on.

I'm happy to report heavy leg training is history. I did 4 set of 12 of the following exercises:
Squats 105#
Lunges 65#
Leg presses 180#
Leg curls 80#

I was going to do deadlifts but someone was waiting for the squat rack.
I'm sure my legs will be killin' me tomorrow.

Wendy-at least you found enough motivation to get you through the w/o. I'm tellin' yah, I think the bbc cardio is hard. Am I the only one?

Cathy-PMS can definitely cause the scale to go up. I remember at TOM being up 3-5 lbs. Thankfully I no longer have that problem. No worries, and remember to add in your activity points. Once you learn to add veggies to every meal you'll get your points under control. It takes some time to get it all figured out. You're doin' great, keep it up.

Thanks for the encouragement! I never have trouble remembering to add in my activity points - are you kidding? That's license to eat more food! *lol* I get in about 5 fruits/veggies every day...I know it's shy of the 8 servings recommended, but I'm not sure I can handle more than that. It's more than I was taking in 3 weeks ago, so I'll consider it progress.

Long & Lean is done. Baron's a bit on the chatty side, but I liked this DVD. It's a good solid stretch & strengthen routine in just under 50 minutes. Just when I was getting a little tired of the vinyasa, he moved on to some balance postures. The spinal twists felt good, but I may have overdone it just a tad. I have not been quite as flexible since my June fender bender. Though it has definitely improved with the chiro adjustments, I may have pushed it just a bit too much. Was thinking it'd be nice to get a massage (haven't had once since July, so I'm overdue), but I am going to hold off since I am going to have my dentist do the Zoom whitening of my teeth later this month. For $600 smackers, it means I'm cuttin' out some spring ski trips! I also need a haircut and pedi before the cruise. Ladies, Ladies, Ladies....How the heck are ya!? :D

I just finished a Raspberry Burst Smirnoff Ice. :9 I was about to make coffee but when I went to get the coffee out of the fridge I spotted these and they looked lonely so I HAD to grab one!:p I only had one though...I swear!;) I figured this is quite the appropriate thread to admit to my cab consumption!:7

Anywho....

Cathy: OH YES, PMS is DEFINATELY a factor when it comes to weight! Ay carrumba, how could you forget that!?!? :7 How much does your weight fluctuate in general? I have a good 5# range I go up and down in all month long... I HATE IT! LOL My mom will only go w/in a pound or 2 at the most unless ofcourse, she is actually losing or gaining weight. I am working on the quads with my friend. We are doing knee extensions and squats right now. Plus I have doing low impact cardio on the step with one set of risers under it so that will also help to strengthen the quads I am sure. LMAO at the drunken smiley! Ya never know....could be me!!!!:7

Diana: IA with Cathy on the heavy leg work! Holy smokes woman! Good for you!:) No, you are no the only one who thinks BBC cardio is tough...don't worry 'bout that!:7

So tomorrow was supposed to be B&G and then an endurance ITread but I have stuff to do in the morning so I want a shorter work out. I am going to do Thursday's plan instead which is just ITread intervals and then on Thursday I can do B&G and the endurance run.

Okay...Time to get ready for bed!

Hi girls.....

You'll have to excuse all the typos that I'm sure I will be putting in here tonight. I've been up since 5am and slept horrible.}(

It was a long day at work and the Michigan legislature voted late last night to increase taxes (a new service tax and income tax increases) when Michigan is alreay on a respirator......Just makes me so damn mad!}( It's just gonna chase more people out of the state in droves. Our legislators and governor are so stupid!! Forgive the rant but this has put me in a sour mood all day.}(

But, then I got a call when I got home.....MIL called and was pretty much incoherent on the phone. I called DH who was only 5 minutes away from her and told him to get over there pronto. She OD'd on nyquil, xanax, and antidepressants.....x( They took her to the hospital and she's doing fine, but I don't know what the follow up will entail. I went with her on Friday to the lawyers office to get her will and other end of life papers in order, and now this. She was obviously planning this. I feel helpless, and in all honesty, a little pi$$ed. I hope you don't think I'm heartless for saying that.....b/c I do feel for her....she hasn't been able to get over the death of her DH back in February. It's so sad.....I feel so helpless.....and there's just not a lot I can do.

Cathy - Your long and lean workout sounds great. It sounds like the same type of workout that the hot yoga w/o was.
I got the teeth whitening trays a year or so back. I like them, but I don't use them as much as I should. It's nice to have them to be able to use whenever I need a re-do.....which is nice considering the amount of coffee I drink.

Wendy - Your cardio plan sounds like fun to me. I would love to do a straight week of cardio, but I think I would burn too much muscle and I'm trying to do the muscle thing.
Your weekend plans sound sooooo fun! Makes my plans totally pale in comparison.

Unfortunately, no matter how much protection your friend can get, even with a restraining order, it just takes one incident for something to go very bad. Not to be a downer.....although that seems to be my lot in life today. She won't be able to feel safe for quite a while I'm sure. I hope he gets the mental help he needs.....because HE needs to turn this around. I feel bad for your friend. I'm sure you'll all be there for her though.;-)

Diana - I have DOMS just reading your weight workout!:7 Holy cow!! You must have legs of steal. I feel like such a slacker.
Will your schedule stay on track for a while now?

I did lowmax before the phone call came in and I think I have yoga tomorrow.....that'll be interesting.:7 I'm waiting for DH to get back from the hospital....then off for some much needed sleep.
