CABs & Abs -- chill out Sunday

I'm back!!!!:)

1:41:39 is my unofficial time! I'm sooooo happy!!!! I only walked a minute up each of 2 hills that I just couldn't run all the way up and then I walked a few seconds at a few water stops so I wouldn't choke! LOL :+ :+ :+ It was a beautiful route but some of the terrain was tricky as we did some park/woods running. We ran on some grass, and had to avoid a few tree roots-one of which almost got the better of me at the start!x( There were also some dirt/gravel roads that got a little tricky when the gravel got really thick. Overall though, it was MOSTLY paved streets so it was cool. Very pretty area! I had a deer run out in front of me at one point! Scared the you know what outta me but all he wanted to do was cross the road. Thankfully was far enough away that he didn't plough into me!

Now I'm sore and tired but very very happy. No cramps and no black toenails. Just lil' ol' me whose accomplishing more then she ever thought possible!!!! WOO HOO!:7

Hi again girls

Believe it or not I actually got DH to help me around the house today. That never happens!! He was extrememly bored and it just waiting to get out in the woods to go hunting.
I murdered another chicken noodle soup recipe. Ahhhhhhhh! I love chicken or turkey noodle soup, but this is the second time I've tried to make it with the frozen noodles. I got the recipe off the marzetti's site and it is not what I expected. I should have not added the milk and flour mixture at the end. It tastes allright I guess, but I am mad b/c it is not what I wanted.}( I mean, how hard can it be to make a good pot of chicken noodle soup?????

Diana - I'm sure you are just kidding around with me about me LOVing to clean??? I do NOT love it one bit.*lol* I just hate being in the middle of a mess.....drives me crazy after a while and then I have to get things cleaned up. Unfortunately, until the boys get outta here, I'm sure I'll just have to put up with it. I don't have much for hard floors so my vacuum gets more of a workout than the mop.
Sounds like you've got another butt kicker on tap for today.

Cathy - You are right to accept BF's SO as he is. I envy your attitude about it. It's hard to do that, but it sure takes a whole lot less energy....especially when you realize that you just can't change other people. I struggle with that realization every day. One of these days I'll get it thru my think head......maybe.
So, did you hop on that elliptical yet or are you going to nap first?

I need to get my bottom down to the basement and get that workout in before it gets too late.

Angie

Hey Wendy - must've been posting at the same time. Great job on your run!! It sounds so cool! You should be proud of yourself girl.....way to go!! Have a nice nap, you deserve it.

Angie

Thanks a bunch Ang! So did you work out yet? }(

Cathy, wake up!:p

Hi Diana!:)

Okay, I got a nice 45 min snooze under my belt and now I have to get my arse in gear and get ready to head to MIL's for dinner and to pick up DS. I shouldn't be home late so I should be popping back in here before the night is through.

Ciao!:)

Wendy :: I'm up! But I was out for awhile there. Now I need to shake off the grogginess before I hit the ETX. This Sunday is slippin' away from me...as mentioned over the O/D, GREAT job on your race today!!!...loved reading the report. Sounds like an interesting course! I have been spooked by deer out on some regular runs before, and yeah, you don't know which way they're gonna dart.

Angie :: I can't say much about the soup...I usually only eat it when I'm sick and I go straight for the Campbell's out of the can...I opted for the nap first but will get to the ETX shortly. Another iClimb...Glad DH volunteered his services.

Congratulations Wendy-it sounds like you had a great time.

I just finished CTX upper and need to choose a cardio. I'm leaning towards Cardio Fusion mix n match premix since it's a real calorie burner for me. 881 cals the last time I did it. The kickbox w/o I was looking was only good 560 cals. With all the poor eating I've done, I need the biggest calorie burn I can muster today.

Ang-I was just kidding, it's just that you are always cleaning. I know, whenever the kids walk through the house, they leave their tracks everywhere, backpacks, shoes, food etc. The worse part is they don't even realize they're doing it.LOL those boys.

Cathy-let us know how you like your iclimb.

Diana

Di :: Great calorie burn with CF! I'm going to wear my Polar and see what I burn on the elliptical with iClimb #3. Supposed to be a fatburner, and that's what I need!!

Wendy :: Forgot to follow-up on this...do you want to me to send you the BOSU DVD?

Off to go sweat off some pudge! :)

iClimb #3 is done...426 calories in 40 minutes...quite the sweatfest. I dripped all over the machine. Two thumbs up!...Now I think I will add on Squeeze lower body and abs.

ETA: Squeeze abs, buns & thighs, and LIC abs done. I tried to do as much of them on the BOSU as I could. Tough stuff! I'm amazed how that buns & thigh segment burns me every dang time.

GS C&T is done along with CM#3.:7 You all kicked my arse as far as calorie burn though. I only spent about 300 calories, but my chest and tris are skakin'! I haven't done that w/o in a long time. Those drop sets to begin with are pure torture. I still can't do them all with straight legs, but I did do more that way than I did before.

Diana - Ah yes....those boys!}( *lol*
Great calorie burn for you. You go!!

Cathy - Also a great cal burn on the elliptical. So glad you are enjoying it. You're makin me jelous! Squeeze makes me whine too.x(

Wendy - Enjoy dinner at MIL's. I'll bet you'll sleep like a baby tonight.

So if any of you are on the computer tomorrow finding some awesome Cyber Monday sales, tell us about them! I won't get home until late because Cody has a game, but I plan on getting home and getting online to get some gifts. Thankfully tomorrow is rest day for me. I'm sure I will still be feelin it tomorrow so a rest day will be welcome.

Angie

Cathy: I am oh so proud of you for resisting the urge to buy something for yourself at Dick's today! I can imagine how sweaty your palms must've been as you were probably dyin' to buy just one single tiny little thing! How many items did you pick up and THINK about buying and then put down cause you wanted to "be good"? LOL }( }( }(
I'm sorry I never got back to you on the bosu dvd. I would love to borrow it but right now it's silly because I am starting the X in a week so I won't be able to utilize it. Perhaps if we remember, once the X is complete, I could borrow it for a bit. Thanks!:)

Angie: Congrats on getting DH to help with chores. That can definately be a feat! I guess that means that you accomplished cleanmax instead of staying on the couch all day! LOL Sorry about your soup. Try and try again. Practice makes perfect you know! It was a bit on the cold side at the park today prior to the race starting but I got there early, got a good spot and went and hung out in my car while I had down time b4 the race started. I dressed well for it so I was comfortable the entire time. I only felt the need to strip off my gloves and they were easy enough to carry along so it wasn't a big deal.

Diana: My bad eating wasn't back on track as of today. I don't start until TOMORROW! Going to MIL's for dinner does not "good eating" make! LOL :9 So who in the heck did Amanda score a $1000.00 gift card from??? That's amazing! I grew up with Joan Jett and the Bangles so don't feel bad, girl.
