Morning dear friends,

It's another gorgeous day here. I actually got some sun yesterday and my shoulders a little red but nothing bad. Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy.

Today I have a lot of housework to do and my WO is cardio/abs/stretch. I think I'm going to try the BC cardio and see how that goes. Maybe twice?

My weight is down despite it being TTOM so I'm happy about that. We'll see how long it lasts. Still have about 6 lbs to lose before December. One pound a month?

Yay Angie on the weight being down!!

Okay ladies my brain is so mushy right now. I had a post on yesterday's thread and I don't know what button my baby pushed, but it was all gone. I did read throughout the day while I was at work and when I got home, but now my mind is at a total blank. I ran Tuesday, but didn't get my weights in. I think I will do some ub tonight. It's 9:30pm and I'm feeling blah, but I will push through. Sorry for being so bad at posting, but I've just been in a funk. I think all the family and craziness is getting to me. BIL is coming back next week for another week and nephew is here for the summer. Eats were decent today. No junks, but I think I overate a little. Anyway, have a great Thursday ladies!

Angie, YAY on the scale! Just keep doing what you are doing and see how the weight comes off. I find that when I am in "losing" mode, I am very very careful and strict and then when I meet my goals I loosen up too much and backslide a pound or two.

Lisa, ikwym about losing posts - it SUCKS! Hope you found the energy to push thru with those weights!

I am going to attempt a run this morning. I still am doing a lot of coughing/nose blowing and still have no voice. I am itching to get moving and the inactivity is making me depressed.

2 more work days until vacation!!

Morning Katie, take it easy on your run! Don't push yourself so your body can't heal!

So, I just finished my WO. I did the cardio from BC. There was no way I could do it twice - at least not right away. I went out for a "jog" instead. I call it that because I don't think what I do is considered actual running! :p But it feels good and the weather is gorgeous so I do it anyway. Then I did about 1/2 of coremax 1 - my back started to bother me so I stopped and did stretch max 1. All in all a good WO.

Time to find something to eat now... hungry hungry hippo!

Katie, Your vaca is so close!! ours is still 3/5 wks away. And we are READY!! I had a dream last night I flew to see you with my girls! :D Makes me want to actually DO it!!! :D:D

Wo - Run tonight w/ Laura. Maybe abs and/or stretch during the day. I enjoyed taking yday off!:eek:

Dinner tonight will be at MIL's for BIL's bday. Im taking a salad!:cool::cool: I WILL NOT EAT CAKE!! Mike and I made a pact abt it last night!:p

anne, i am sorry again for how things are spiraling with jim. my only suggestion is to try to do 1 thing for yourself each day that makes you happy - whether it is a manicure, sleeping in with a book, anew pair of shoes, or lunch out, just do 1 thing each day to take care of you.

great run outside this am. i started out feling sluggish then picked it up. i am really dreading dh's trip next week. nothing to do but get thru it, though. i work all day and at lunch take finn for his 3yr checkup. not sure when i will be back, buti will keep it clean toady
 
m, how many more dh trips til you move? can you make a countdown?

Kate, how cool about the dream!! I bet you were flying here so you could run the OBX marathon with me;) No cake vibes - although I am sure you will do fine w/o them!

Morris, the pool was nice, thanks for asking. I swam some laps by myself and they were hard, and I also did a few laps "jogging" with Collin on my back!

Angie, awesome workout!!

Off to work, TONS to do today and tomorrow before I leave!
 
Morning! I am going to do Plyo Legs today after I drop off the kids at camp- I think the second week, Disc 29. I love that I get cardio and a leg workout in one!

Morris: Great WO as usual even though you had to push through it. I'm sorry DH is going to be away again- I can't imagine doing it on my own. I live for 6:00 every night.

Kate: A treat everyday sounds nice...oh wait, I just did that this past weekend! :p That's great that you and Mike have a no cake pact. Jeff would abandon me on that one- he never says no to cake. Of course, he is lean no matter what he eats. Humph.

Katie: You are so close to vacation! Take it easy and don't stress out your body- you want to feel good on your break.

Angie: I was impressed when you said you were going to do that cardio twice! A lot of people do the core work 2x through and I can never bring myself to do it more than once. :) Glad you are feeling good and having good weather.

Lisa: Sorry the family is stressing you out- get in a good UB workout and you'll feel better. I find that weight lifting helps me stress almost more than cardio.

Eats have been great yesterday and today so far. No measuring or obsessing, just paying attention and trying to eat in reasonable amounts.

Have a great day everyone! I have to run the kids to camp and then home for some PLYO!!!

I also had a dream that some crazy femme fatale dominatrix lady was going to torture me because I was 10 minutes late picking up DDs from school. ANALYZE THAT!!!! :confused::confused::confused::confused:

Patti, WTG on the food! I measure my breakfast out.... but ALWAYS want more. Maybe I shouldn't measure either.... Kind of like "I'm only allowed to eat X amount" But I've always figured it keeps me from overeating. :confused: Who knows?!

Kate: I think it's a fine line with measuring. If it is something I tend to overeat, I think it is good to measure or at least fill up the same bowl with the same amount each time. It's hard. And yes, love to WO in the quiet- no listening for crying kids. :)
 
Morning!

Only one more day of dance to go! The girls did great last night:) Never got around to the kickbox-got lazy. I think I'll do upper body and a short cardio today, legs tomorrow, kickbox on Saturday, and a circuit on Sunday. Gotta run out for a recital gift for the girls, don't know how-maybe I'll get Darrin to do it;)

Angie, good job on the workout! Yay on the weight! I want to drop a few vanity pounds by our vacation in August.

Lisa, I think once you become a mom, your brain automatically turns to mush! Good luck with the family!

Katie, how'd the run go? I think we're all getting the summer sniffles here too. Hope work flies by!

Kate, send those clean eating vibes here-I had a cheese stick and almonds before dance last night, but came home to some white cheddar popcorn, a few popcorn chicken bites and a few bites of ice cream-not a lot of calories but not good food either. Have fun today-it shouldn't be as stifling hot. I need to get Darrin to make that pact with me this weekend-graduation and b-day parties on Saturday! We are skipping D's niece's b-day although when he told her he said he had to work-not the real reason-that we're tired of being slighted ALL the time!

Morris, how you keep it together amazes me! Thanks for the hugs-I needed them! My mom's health woes are freaking me out! She's only 53!

Patti, I think I may do Plyo Legs tomorrow. I love 2 in 1 workouts too:) I can't wait to workout in the fall when Nevena starts nursery school!

Patti, I hate my cereal to get soggy so I keep it in the measuring cup and put a ittle in my bowl at a time!:p

It was fun and very interesting, unlike anything I've seen before. The dancers were good, but the musicians were *amazing*. There was a pianist, bassist, voilinist, and a guy playing something called the bandoneon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandoneon). I had never seen one of those before, so it was fascinating to me to watch/hear it played. I guess it's an integral part of the Argentine tango scene.

I'll bb for personals.

Plyo Legs DONE! I love those WOs although by the end I am sure I look ridiculous trying to do air jacks- they are probably barely off the ground. :p

Kate: I love the yoga abs in STS, although med ball is my favorite, especially when I can talk J into being my partner! LOL at your cereal issues.

Klaudia: I reeeeaaaally doubt you're lazy- the rest of your WOs for the week sound good. I have LIC at some point this week and must confess I've only ever done the cardio, never the weights. It will be a nice change.

Anne: Cool! Glad you had fun. :) I like Nina's suggestion for doing something nice for yourself every single day.

I have something this weekend too- let's make a weekend party pact. We will ALL be clean! No junk!

Thanks, Kate, did you say friends are coming over today? If so, enjoy! I'm not working at home tomorrow, I have to go to downtown Detroit. Long drive there, long meeting, long drive back. Yippee.

Patti, good job with the work out! Don't worry about how the plyo jacks look, at least you're doing them! I have trouble with those, too.

Klaudia, I'm very sorry about your mom. You know I can relate. {{{{HUGS}}}} I hope she can see a way to take care of herself. And ^5s to the girls! Please give them hugs from me for their dancing! I wish I could be there.

Katie, it sounds like you had fun at the pool yesterday, nice job! Please don't rush back into things too much so you don't have a relapse on your cold. You can't be sick on vacation!

I'm having kind of a hard time today. I'm not sure what the problem is, lack of sleep, I guess. Also, when I come here and you guys are so sweet and show so much concern, it just brings tears to my eyes. And I know this kind of thing goes in waves, some days are better than others. I think I'll go to a nearby park and walk outside at lunch. Even though it's hot out, I think that might be nice.

Count me in!!! Looks like we'll be going to the beach for the 4th and I need to look decent. Have any of you ladies done any of the SS premixes? I was thinking about trying one today.

Kate, I'm sure there won't be much in the way of clean eats at either party this weekend. I'll be praying for fruit and veggy trays! I usually get Danica something dance related from Hallmark:) Nice work on the yoga abs. I haven't done that one yet!

Anne, that show looks so cool! I concur with the others-do something for YOU! We should all heed our own advice more, too, me thinks!

Patti, I think it's exercise guilt! Like working out 5 days is not enough, ya know?! Especially when compared to pretty much everyone else I know!

Klaudia: I've only done the PP premixes- don't think I have ever done SS? Wow, need to do that sometime. :) Let us know what you think. I get stuck in a rut with my premixes. Someone reminded me of the bootcamp premix in BM2 the other day and I realized I've never tried it. I know what you mean about guilt- mine is more about food and people with 10% body fat when my diet is probably terrific by most people's standards. Le sigh.

Anne: A walk outside seems like good medicine. :)

Patti air jacks low impact that the way I do it. ;) No junk weekend is easy because there is so much fresh fruits. I brought some watermelon, peaches etc.

Klaudia I love the beach. Enjoy and get there early.

My eats have been good for 3 days. I love the summer.
