Morning all,

Quick check in, gonna be late to dance/gym classes for girls.

LIC was this morning. Probably step fit this PM. No insanity with Ryan. He did it by himself. Calves are still a little tender for things like jumping jacks and heismans! :)

Morning Angie! What is Step Fit? Sorry about the sore calves - how did step go with the soreness?

Lisa, we are allowing *some* girl toys. For example, he asked for the Barbie beach party pool - so he is getting the pool, a Barbie, and a Ken. He is getting a few other 'girlie' things, and a few 'boyish' things (Transformers, GI Joe, etc.). I am about half way done with x-mas shopping.

Klaudia, I have mommy guilt like that all the time. Did you give extra snuggles last night? Do you have any pictures of those precious girls doing their dance recital?

Kate, ^5 on Cardio Coach. I am thinking of asking for a few for Christmas - any suggestions?

Robin, any good sales going on this weekend at JCP?

Colleen, how did the rest of the day at work go yesterday?

So my eating has been great, workouts have been HARD and FOCUSED. I took Collin swimming yesterday evening, tonight we are going to church dinner, and tomorrow evening I think we will go back to the gym - Collin can do YES club (fitness games for kids) and I will do an extra cardio - maybe the Step Mill :eek::confused:

My family really wants to get portraits done this weekend, but everyone needs haircuts and matching outfits. Any suggestions? What photographs well?

Angie I recommend icy hot patches for your DOMS it works great and stays on.

Katie Penney's is always having a sale. Really they just rotate the signs like buy two get one free....next week the same item sign will read buy buy one and get one %50 off. After Christmas sale is going to be a good one...I took a peek...so gift cards is the best way to go for big kids. I'm almost finish shopping too. Now I need to put up the tree.:rolleyes:

I plan to do sts tri, bi and I'll save shoulders and legs for saturday.

WO done - speed intervals. I did a 10 min wu, then 22 mins of intervals, then got off the treadmill for 5 mins. I read in the NROLFW that when you do this, your body gets flooded with trigycerides. Then I got back on the tm after 5 minutes and did another 18 minutes of steady-state running - supposedly your body burns more fat than anything else after the 5 minutes of rest. So a total of 50 minutes of cardio - not bad! Polar read 460-ish calories.

Katie, I have all the CCs but have only done 1-3 and I like all of them so far.
Fam pics - wear a solid color for your shirts so it doesn't get too busy. Which reminds me I still haven't seen our proofs from OCTOBER!!! grrrr I love our photog but she can be a little slow.

Today was supposed to be back/tri's but my lats are so sore from all the pushups Monday I think I'll do legs instead. Chest & bi's are burnin' too.:cool:

I woke up on time today....almost! A little bit late. I'm going to let Gina sleep anyway. ONe more day of driving her I suppose. I went in to wake her and she is OUT COLD. So I'll do some AM chores in peace & quiet.:cool::)

It's been a wonderful vacation .

No "real" workouts, but walking every single morning of the week and then lots more walking during the day.
I'll have to get serious about working off all of this seafood once I'm home. ; )

Is Kate back yet from Colorado?

was supposed to christmas shop this am, but now i need to be here for the ac repair guy. i did not want to get out of bed this morning, but i am so so glad i did - fantastic long run again, even though it is hot and humid. i have abs, bis, and tris from slow and heavy on tap for later. my boys are so much fun lately - i just want to freze them at this precious time! this afternoon i have to pick my mom up from the dr after a colonoscopy. yday she left me a ranting message about that awful man, my dad. lets hope it is out of her sysytem for today, or i am in trouble. bbl

morning ladies! triedto get on here yday and everytime i did got swept away w/something! have to get read for groove this morning... thats the dance class... got a good sweat going last week but forgot my hrm. will make sure to wear today. eats werenot good yday. went to visita gfwith a newborn and gotstuck getting chineses takeout (i know i know, hoe do you get stuck, but i am not the driver, this is what gf wanted, etc etc.) and then proceeded to eat too much. she lives out in the sticks and it was greasy takeout type, not like the good stuff i can get around my area. mybellyhas been acting up all night and this morning =( why do i do this to myself??????? and funny thing is, JJ did NOT like the food at all, literally nothing he wanted and normally he is not fussy. shouldve had cheerios and banana with him- his stomach is fine!

kate, glad things are almostback to normal after your trip. howis your knee feeling?

nina, i hope your mom holds back today, maybe shell be talking abt the procedure instead?!? lol. i posted a baked tofu recipe the other day, not sure if you saw it.

robin, thats great you are almost finished shopping! i am barely buying for anyone and am hardly started. which is so unlike the "me" of a few yrs ago. i really need to get a move on.

katie, that is really interesting abt the 5 min break and then burning more fat... wonder if I hopped on the bike right after step or kb or groove class if that would work... it take 5 mins to clean up, drink some water and get out of studio. i have also not had perfect eats the last few says, we can do it TODAY.

angie, youhavebeen KILLING your WOs!!!!! rest those calves if they need it and rest assured because you are doing awesome.

My Spartans lost again last night:( So I had to console myself with a small bowl of ice cream:eek: Girls were up early today-5 am! I'm hoping Nevena will take a nap. Have to take the younger too for H1N1 booster shots this afternoon-should be fun, no? Today's workout is cardio-step or hiit.

Angie, your dedication is very motivating! If you can do 2 tough workouts/day, I can do a measly 30 minutes!

Katie, no pics:( I had some professional ones taken. Once I get them, I'll scan and post. I apologized to Milla when she got home and gave lots of hugs-and let her friend come over;) Interesting theory about fat burning-I may have to try that!

Robin, have you seen the black over the knee boots by Nine and Co.? I so want them! Have a great workout!

Kate, I was sore yesterday from Sunday's workout! My friend thinks we should't get sore anymore cause we work out so much. Ha!

Nina, sorry about the fd. You know I can relate! Isn't S&H awesome? I need to get it back from my neighbor-she borrowed it for the leg workout along with GS Legs to help her train for a 1/2 marathon and hasn't given them back. I miss them! Enjoy your boys! I feel the same way-it's very bittersweet, isn't it?
 
Wendy, we were posting at the same time! I don't know whay we do what we do with food sometimes. I'm the same way-eat it, then regret it. Have a great workout!

Wendy I hear ya about the Chinese food. Some restaurants are clean and some are not so clean. I think it's the oil they use.

I brought Christmas presents like PJs, house shoes, cologne, etc. With my picky teens I will give them gift cards or cash for after Christmas shopping. I'll give you an example of picky. I brought the Wii for my son's bday on Nov.18. Last weekend he told me that he is bored with the Wii.:mad: Then he wondered why I yelled at him. This is why I'm not stressing out over Christmas gifts.

In fact I'm not stressing at all this month. Ha wish me luck.:p
 
Robin, could you? I've been debating getting them for weeks! They were just $50 the other day and I chickened out! I love all my JCP boots:)
 
Good Morning Everyone!

I slept horrible last night and did not want to get up for my workout this morning. So I didn't. Everytime I fell asleep I had a horrible nightmare which woke me up. I am really having horrible PMS this month and I don't know why. I may try to do legs or stretch tonight.

Kate, ^5 on getting up this morning. Sorry you had to drive Gina again. I wish we could get our families to stop with the gifts but we are not there yet. Maybe next year.
Katie, awesome workout this morning. My cousin liked dolls when he was little and he has 2 older siblings who teased him about it. He doesn't seemed scarred from the experience.
Klaudia, sorry about your Spartans. I hope they get some wins soon. Good luck with the booster shots today.
Wendy, I hate greasy chinese because of too many upset stomachs. Drink lots of water to cleanse your system.

Good afternoon to all of you!

Today was a busy day. We ended up skipping classes. Ellie was a wreck - crying about anything and everything. So we stayed home, made banana bread, played yahtzee, read books. Anna had a birthday party this afternoon and I worked out again while she was there and Ellie watched Twice Upon a Christmas. I did Step Fit which a few of you asked about. It's on Cathe's Cardio Hits. It's a decent workout. The combos are actually quite fun once they are built up but it's pretty repetitive. Then she does this like 8 min cool down to the macarena. Pretty funny. Nice for a change though.

Katie, you sound really positive and good today. WTG on the eats and keep up the good work! Family pictures, I agree, should be solid colors. Are you doing indoor? Have fun at the wellness center tonight. Great WO this morning too!

Becky, sorry your vacation is ending. There is nothing worse! I'm glad you had a good time though. And vacations are not meant to have "real" workouts!

Nina, do you ever wake up and think, "I want to run this morning, really I do!!!" I pretty much always want to stay in bed but know better! :) Sorry about fd with your mom. Hope it all went well. I hear you on freezing time! Ellie was running around butt naked tonight and I found myself staring at her cute little rear wondering how much longer she'll be doing that shamelessly. It's just so cute!

Wendy, our culture sabotages us with the food choices doesn't it? I'm learning that as long as I'm consistently making good choices, a splurge here and there doesn't hurt too bad. I just regret it when I overeat. I'm also jealous of your classes. I would LOVE to belong to a gym. Step class is so much fun when you see everyone doing it - especially multi step!

Klaudia, sorry about the Spartans. I'm ashamed to say I'm not even following college bball this year. It's just not as fun if you can't watch it. Fun times with the vaccination! :) You're doing great with your WOs... plus, you're in better shape than me. It's all relative!

Robin, bummer about your kids and their Wii! How annoying. Teenagers! :rolleyes: I think you're right, gift cards are a good idea. It's fun to watch your WOs on FB!

Colleen, sorry about the bad night of sleep. I hate bad dreams. They just ruin my day! I am so excited for you that you're almost done with your job though! That's so awesome!

Kate, glad your knee is getting better. I would be so lost without step. I was realizing today that I don't have many low impact options and with my calves bothering me it's really obvious. I was wishing I had an elliptical this morning! So how long are you going to be at disney? I'm so jealous! I think a body bug would be cool too... I'm afraid of obsessing though! :confused:

So, my calves are weird. It's not in the back, it's on the side (inner calf) and it really only hurts during jumping jacks or side lunges off the step, otherwise it's ok. But kb and hi/lo things are pretty much out of the question. :(

OK, gonna watch biggest loser with Ry.
