()()()c-t-tuesday()()()

Hi everyone,

Posting from my iPhone because I some drama with my coworker. This is the second time she has traveled to DC to do a presentation and was not prepared. So frustrating. I did STS Disc 3 legs this morning. We had thunderstorms but I didn't even think about the power going out.

I will try to be back later for personals.

Quick drive by, it's meeting Tuesday in my world. I'm feeling much better today. I don't know what it was yesterday, maybe the dreary rainy day or my hormones. AF showed up yesterday afternoon. I forgot to check the basement this morning, but hopefully Jim did. If not, I'll check it when I get home.

Morris, you can some of my boobs too. They're huge and they get in the way.

Kate, I get the feeling you're fond of Julia. Is that a true statement? Please post your spicy chicken pasta dish--I love your recipes.

Angie, I'm glad the shower is clean, how about the kitchen? It sounds like you had a nice visit this morning, that's good.

Patti, I don't have STS, but I'll probably get it some day. What work do you do while your kids are at camp? (If you already told us, please forgive me, my brain is in a fog these days.)

Lisa, did you run this morning? Thanks for the hug from the warm Pacific yesterday!

Katie, running late? You? Just kidding! Sounds like you had a great run this morning. Isn't that the best way to start the day?

Hi to Colleen and Klaudia! Who did I miss? bbiab

anne

Patti, Sorry about teh mom guilt. My dds have such separation anxiety. Breaks my heart, but I know some is good for them.
Awesome energy blast!
The Kashi GoLean Crunch is the.best.cereal.ever. It is a little high in sug but MAN does it taste good! Katie got me hooked on the blackberry graham bars. Oh mY! Tastes like a poptart only better!
LOL on CLX! I got a KCM from Netflix but havent done it yet! Maybe tmrw!

Angie, I got all my cleaning done too. I'm supposed to be doign payroll right now. ooooops!:p
Gina still sucks her thumb! Gross! Mostly tho when she's tired and if we see her do it she gets totally embarrassed!
No baking yet.... just major cleanmax!

Colleen, Sorry for the WD! That stinks having to bail out coworkers!
Leg Day! Fun! Odd how I have grown to love it! Mike still hates it!:p

Anne Hope the basement is dry!
yes, I am a Julia addict!:p Mike jokes I get EAS when she's on the floor - Empty Arm Syndrome!:D:D I HAVE to be holding her!:D:D:D

YOOOO HOOOOO< Klaudia!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D How are the girls?

-
ok, better do payroll! I don't need 16 angry plumbers at my door on Friday!:p

kate, i had just been thinking you had npot done much baking lately....;) julia is a sweetie. aidan gives hugs now. i love it.

angie, sorry for your long day, but i have a million things i could do in 2 free hours. like all the pictures i never print out.
patti, glad camp is going okay. i like the energy break thing. good idea. how much work did you do today? do you plan to go back?

robin, thanks for the loan! june 16th is the vs sale. i am going to go get some help:mad: what is chalean extreme??

aidan napped and finn and i played in the basement. we got him a haircut today too. clean lunch of crocolli and turkey saisage and yougart. dinner tonight is chick tacos. bbiab

Hey girls. Dinner time here. I've had a rough day... think it was too quiet and I missed my babies!

Patti, your energy break sounds good. I think if I did things like that in the midst of my bad days, I'd probably feel a lot better than if I ate junk! You'll have to try CLX and let us know what you think. I love Chalene but really prefer Cathe's intensity so I'm interested to see what it's like. Mom guilt is hard... I have it a lot. Never intended to put my kids in preschool or school in general but the move to France changed that so it's been a weird transition.

Colleen, sorry about WD! Iphones are life savers aren't they? Great job with your WO. Hope your day gets better.

Anne, sorry about AF but I'm glad things look a little brighter this morning. Hope your day is a good one.

Kate, LOL on EAS. That's funny. Did you get payrollmax done?

Morris, I need to be better at using my time. For some reason I am paralyzed here when I start to get depressed and rather than do all the things I know need to get done, I tend to just sit and stare... it's frustrating. And not fulfilling!

I would love to go for a run right now. Think it would clear my mind a bit but I'm afraid to even really walk on my foot until it feels totally normal. Hopefully tomorrow. It's lots better today.

Ryan's picking up a pizza for dinner and baking cupcakes with the girls. I don't really feel bad about pizzas here. They're not like US pizzas. No grease, very little cheese, all fresh.

I'll try to check back in later but it might not be until tomorrow.

Can you imagine if we ever all got together?! OMG!:)

Back from a busy morning-last mom breakfast before summer vacation then to Kroger for a few things-my MIL gave me a $300 gift card to help with dance?! A check to the studio would've been much better considering I don't shop at Kroger. But who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth?;) Got the teachers their gifts there too-I got them wind chimes so every time the wind blows they'll remember my kids:) And I got Milla's 3 helpers little potted roses. Not bad for $35! Then I had to drop them off at school and chat with everyone. Now I'm waiting for the bus. Thinking of how to celebrate with the girls. I was going to take them to the custard place-ice cream for lunch:) but they got treats at school.

Didn't work out yesterday-kept waiting for the rain that never came then it was dinner time and D wanted to work out so there you go. I'll go down when Nevena naps.

Angie, glad you had fun at your coffee klatch:) At least you'll have a nice clean house for the weekend;)

Katie, glad the power didn't go out on you! We always lose our satellite when it storms:(

Kate, sorry about the boobs! We should have a club-The Saggy Sistas! Stop rubbin' that peanut in our faces! You're giving us all baby envy! Darrin and I were just lamenting the fact that Danica will be in double digits in the fall:( Sniff. Where does the time go?

Lisa, hope you get your run in! I don't stop for the neighbors-I just wave:)

Patti, you must try Kashi! As far as clean cereals and granola bars, they're good! I wish my DH would work out with me-I think he gets intimidated;) But at least he works out. He's gotten pretty diligent about it which makes me very happy.

Morris, what a run! I know that bittersweet feeling well. Savor every moment!

Robin, Danica had us sucked in to that garbage last night-there was nothing on tv and the weather was too yucky to be out.

Colleen, I cannot believe the crap you have to deal with at work! Ugh.

Anne, hope the basement is in good shape. We had a huge flood in our old house. There was so much water in the streets, kids were swimming in it-it was cause the sewer system was so old, it backed up! Gross! I bought so much bleach it was crazy! Hope your meetings fly by!

Whew! I think I'm caught up!

Angie: French pizza sounds good! A local grocery store has fresh sprouted grain crust so I make it for us. Good call on skipping the run, I know that can't be easy when you know it would make you feel better. I have total guilt about the kids in camp or preschool in the fall, but I know they have fun there too. It's hard no matter how you do it, I think.

Morris: I got in 5 hours! Woo hoo, paid for camp for the week! I hope I don't have to go back to work in the traditional sense- I didn't like being a lawyer. Nasty people, bad hours and lots of stress. I'm a much more zen person now. I even knit! :D

Anne: Hope you're having a better day.

I'll keep you guys posted about CLX. I like Cathe's intensity too (of course!) but this might be a good change to shake up the body. It has a lot of compound moves, so I don't know how I feel about that. Anyway, I'll probably do it maybe in a shortened rotation this fall or winter.

Thinking lunch might be tuna on a sandwich round (anyone else spotted these at the store?) and an apple. I must eat an apple every day- it's imperative! :p Just did the energy blast to make up for butt on sofa for work time. It winded me. :) GG pick up the kids.

Hi Klaudia! We posted at the same time. Wind chimes are a good idea- I'll have to remember that one. LOL at Kate rubbing her cute peanut in our faces- it is a problem!!

Seriously going now.

Lemme see if I can follow Klaudia's lead and get caught up too.

Morris, how was the cake yesterday? I did speed intervals today and I am TIRED - is this normal? It has HARD!
Kate, don't you love those blackberry graham bars?! OMW, so delish! I am interested in your dinner recipe if you have time to post it.
Robin, is it storming down there? It seems to have passed her and it is sunny and warm.
Colleen, I agree with K re:the crap you put up with at your job. Unbelievable!
Patti, what makes your job so boring? Mine is pretty boring too...
Anne, I hope the basement is alright. Glad you are feeling better today!
Angie, could you take a walk today (no impact) and see how the foot feels?
Lisa, how you got your run in!
Klaudia, awesome about the gift card and teacher gifts! What WO you doing today?

Back to work, I am really tired today, not sure if it's because of the speed intervals or what... Errands after work:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Dinner will probably be a take-out taco salad.

Patti, yes, I have seen the sandwich rounds and they look pretty cool. I've never read the ingredients, though... Let us know how it is!

For the first time this week I did a real w/o....ME

Kate I love Julia too. Kissy Face. Try holding Mufasa instead :p

Patti while doing ME I've noticed that I can do a lot more wide stance push ups compared to regular push ups.

Anne I hope the basement is ok.

Morris you know I'm not the enabling type here is Chalene

Little boys & fresh haircuts make my heart melt!
Yummy food today!

Angie, That pizza sounds good! I'll be right over w/ some baked goods to go with it!:D

Klaudia, NICE GC!!! WOW!!! How nice of you to get all those gifts!
I dREAD the double digit ages! Can you imagine how crazed we're gonna be with 3 TEENAGE girls!! Egads!:p

Patti, I wsh I liked tuna! I'm slowly learnign to like oatmeal! But I don't hink I can swing the tuna!
Apple is a popular choice in our house too!

Katie, Way to plan ahead for a busy night! Taco salad sounds great!
Sorry for the sleepies!

Robin, Mufasa weighs more than I do... he can hold ME!:p
Corn bread, how I love thee!:p

Spicy Pasta w/ Chicken Sausage

1 pkg chicken sausage (mine was the green/red pepper kind)
1 onion, chopped fine
2-3 garlic cloves, minced (I used 3...we love garlic)
1.5 c. low sodium chicken broth
1 - 10oz can RoTel tomatoes (YUM!)
6 oz. whole wheat pasta
salt & pepper
2 scallions, sliced thin

Cook chicken and onion in large skillet (I use cast iron) over medium-hi heat until lightly browned, about 8 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Stir in broth, tomatoes, pasta, 1/3 tsp. salt, and 1/3 tsp. pepper. Bring to a boil. Cover pan and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender, about 15 minutes.

Off heat, sprinkle w/ scallions. Serve

So good ladies! Mike was all "chicken sausage, ew!" .... like he is every time I make it.:rolleyes: But he saw this and listened to all the moans & groans I was making while eating it. He tried it and ended up eating a lot of it! He even took some for lunch today....and he is the take-out king! We have a winner! Would be good w/ some lf mozzarella cheese stirred in too...

Kate: Thanks for the recipe! I printed it out. Are the chicken sausages links, like hot dogs or ground chicken sausage? PLUS, bonus, I have sprouted wheat pizza dough in our downstairs fridge (yes we have two ) so maybe I'll make the kids the fun pizza bites. Bet mine won't look that pretty!

Adding Kashi to the list for grocery shopping tonight. Must fit in CS! My legs feel shredded. YAY!

Sandwich rounds were great- topped with tuna with fresh lemon juice, a bit of nonfat greek yogurt and feta cheese and spices mixed in. Then toasted in the oven and topped with tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Yum! There are 3 varieties of sandwich rounds- some whole wheat, some not. I have the WW ones of course- sugar is the 4th ingredient. Meh. It isn't a super clean food I guess but good every now and again.

p, the ch saus is links but i suppose you could use any type of chicken in place. i just like the spiciness iof the ch saus. klaudia got me started on em! they were w/ the regular grilling sausages.
we need a 2nd fridge! we have 2 freezers, but 2 fridges would be great! im constantly running out of room!
ive never made the pizza bites but they look promising. after nursemax here im going to have them help me assemble them. just got done w/ the last rise of the dough. should be fun!

so hard to keep up with you chatterboxes!!

kate, happy kneading and nursing!

katie, intervals are tiring, i think. i always do shorter runs when i do intervals.

colleen, hope your day ends on time.

robin, great wo! i love me for sure. the bis are my favs. i'll check the link when i feel strong enough to resist.

anne, my basement flooded in 07 when dh was deployed. no heat for 4 days. it was horrible. thankfully we had flood insurance, and now we have a generator. i still live in fear of flooding.

klaud, good job with the gifts, and nice gift card. i sooo wish i'd get something useful sometime.

patti, will you be mny personal chef? you make everything sound sooo tasty.

got
my back bis and shoulders done. i want to eat the rest of my son's bday cake, but i won't:p. i wish my kids would nap....

Angie - Sounds mah-vellous!:D

Morris, Did he dig into his cake? My girls have shown restraint on their 1st bdays!
We're higher up in our area so I don't worry about flooding...but we do have some tall walnut trees that we worry about when it storms. TIMBERRRRRR!:p:eek::eek:

Making the pizza bites was fun! C'mon 5:30!!!
