Morning all,

This morning I did GS Legs but only got through the standing work and one floor exercise. When she started to do the glute lifts, my hamstrings were screaming at me so I stopped. I went to the next chapter and it was inner thighs which are mad at me from the ellip so I just stretched and called it a day. I was short about 20 minutes of the whole wo (which is pretty long)!

Anyway, I'll get over to the gym later but I have to stick around for my risers to come this morning. Hopefully he comes in the morning!

Nina, you asked what I'm reading. It's called The 19th Wife. Ryan's Grandma left it here so I just picked it up. Interesting so far.

Kl, way to get that WO in and nice sweater! :p

Wendy, I LOVE LOVE LOVE KPC!

Colleen, glad to hear that the new job is going well so far.

Becky, a few days a week I am doing cardio intervals on the treadmill - one day speed, one day hills, etc. I warm up for about 10 minutes, do intervals for about 22 minutes, then take a 5 minute break, then go back and do a steady-state run for 10-20 minutes more (depending on how much time I have).

Nina, right now I am alternating the incline between level 1 for recovery and level 6 or 7 for my interval. Not sure what that translates to for %.

and re: the Christmas Bonus.....

on a *good* year the Board will approve for us to have one week's pay for a Christmas Bonus, and they did approve that this year. We were all hoping for a bit more because we have been so busy, but there are some tightwads on the Board that must have squashed it. Anyway, I am definitely thankful - who couldn't use an extra couple hundred dollars at the holidays?

Katie , that sounds good ! Is it for bettering your time on runs or is it to lose weight or what ??

Today for me is step (can't remember which one), 30 pushups and 200 crunches.

It's so cold, wind is HOWLING and I think it's snowing - but it's still to dark to see out...and I am going out with my DD this morning. Wish I could stay in today !!!!

Angie, your double workouts are killing me just reading . No wonder you are sore !
I am sore from BM2 UB yesterday !! (after 2 weeks with no weights) ! ouchie !!!

Well, my trip to the gym has been postponed and likely cancelled. The school called and said Ellie has diarrhea so I went to pick her up. Annabel threw an absolute fit that I wasn't taking her too (they were in the cafeteria together). So, that was fun. She's generally really good about school. I don't know what to do when she does this!

Anyway, so here I am with Ellie! Oh well, she's watching a Mickey Christmas movie.

My risers came this morning! YAY! So I'm ready for some HIIT! Cost me $70 for my ILs to fed-ex them and it would have cost $180 to have Cathe ship them... not sure why?!

Katie, that's nice that you're at least getting a bonus. Ryan gets no merit raise and no bonus this year. They've already said no merit raise for next year and likely no bonus! UGH! I have to remind myself that we are just blessed to even have him in a secure/stable job! What was your WO this am?

Becky, I seem to have somewhat boundless energy the past couple of weeks. I think it's just from the ultimate motivation of my cruise. We'll see how it lasts after we get back. Of course we have our summer cruise to look forward to as well. 200 crunches is a TON! I haven't heavy lifted in a long time - I'm feeling my chest today for sure!

Robin, have a good day at work. Are you working over time? It seems like it!

Kate, sorry you've been so busy. I hope Isabel is better too. Did you send Ellie her tummy bug? :)

Well, time to figure out what I'm going to do with my afternoon... bbl.
 
Slept on the couch-that's where Darrin fell asleep and I thought he'd be up earlier to salt but he didn't go in til 6am. I've got some DOMS in my lats-I'm sure I'll start feeling it all over soon. Busy day today-have to return a bunch of stuff, volunteer in Nevena's class for a little while, and go to dancea and Danica's concert tonight. And workout-cardio and abs if I have time.

Angie, I like to split GS Legs into 2 workouts anyway:)

Katie, try the link again-it should work. Glad you got a bonus-any extra helps! Not too much snow here-maybe 1-2 inches. But it's freezing and windy:(

Good Morning Everyone!

I did squeeze my workout in last night - I did Glute Camp. I probably could have gone a little heavier on some of the exercises but I went heavy enough because I feel my glutes. I will have to do that one more often. This morning was KB surge premix. I did the core work on the DVD and it was different. I don't think I have done any of those moves before. Today I have lunch with my friend who got me this job - finally. We couldn't get our schedules to sync this week.

Angie, sorry Ellie is sick and about the scene at school. My mom went to grandparents day at my niece's school (she's 22 months) and she ran and got her coat as soon as she saw my mom. I guess everyone just wants to go home.
Katie, ^5 on the bonus. Any special plans for your bonus?
Kate, I hope you can get everything done today. I like being busy but overwhelmed is crazy.
Klaudia, I had problems with the link too. Don't forget your ear plugs for the concert. The nice thing is you can really see who has talent at this age.
Becky, we have that howling wind too. The temperatures are supposed to start dipping today. I really hate cold weather.
Robin, you were crazy to double up on STS. I hope the doms aren't too bad.

Wendy, sorry about the crappy weather yesterday. I hope things have cleared up some so you can get out today.
 
Workout was the cardio premix from LIC (FUN! ) and 200 crunches and 30 pushups.
I'm done and got some cleaning done and now am trying to get ready to brave the cold !!!!!!!!!!!!
Going out with DD to get stuff for Jackson's first birthday next week ! I am baking his cake and we are going to pick out what kind and get what I need for it .
Will be fun if we can stay warm !! :)

good morning! busy day for me, we leave tomorrow and id like to get mostly packed today and have dinner prepped early because i have appt for nailsat 5:30. when dh gets home i need to run around the corner. i was a little worried because JJ still has a little cough but his nose is not running and he doesnt sound stuffy so he should be fine for the trip. dh caught the cold but i never did!?! he also whacked himself inthe face with a rake in the cellar (literally stepped on it and the other end came up, like in a cartoon -- i felt terrible because he was bleeding and it is still swollen but i had to stifle a laugh because it reminded of a cartoon, BAD WIFE!).

the gym is not in the cards for me again today, just too much to do. if i finish packing and dinner maybe we will go down to the library for a bit but otherwise, home it is. it would have been power class today so think i will do a circuit, either a premix from SJP/SB or maybe LIC or... any suggestions?

klaudia, get that cardio in!! busy day for me, too, lets hold each other accountable. yay for doms!

becky, you are doing cathes dec rotation, right? sounds killer! weather has been rough here, too. cold and windy now, snow melted last evening when it was 45 after snowing and sleeting all day... thats NE for you.

katie, congrats on the bonus! im headed to ny for a black tie wedding. looking forward to seeing my 1st cousins and their kiddos but other than that im totally overwhelmed with the whole thing. used to really enjoy this stuff but not right now!

angie, sorryabout ellie =( hope whatever it is moves quick. glad your risers arrived... now bring on the shock cardio!!

robin, it sounds like you are almost finished with yourxmas shopping! did you find the gag gifts you needed? have a good day at work!

good morning everyone. holy insomnia. i was up from 11pm until 4am! i normally wake up at 4:30, but i stayed in bed today. dh is home and said i have the day off:D worked out earlier after kiddos went to school. now i am going out to the store and errand max. i have a sore throat and a bad belly, but otherwise do not feel too bad. wo was speed intervals on tm and max cardio conditioning.

kate, hugs to you. i know about feeling overwhelmed.

klaudia, is darrin done for a bit, or is it off for round 2? great wo yday!

Hi Lisa!

I was very productive at work yesterday afternoon, preparing for my presentation tomorrow. I'm doing a refresher training for library staff. It should be fun, I just hope there's no one hostile in the group. You can never tell, either they're very warm and just happy you're there, or they resent something about the program so they're argumentative and combative. I'm hoping for the former...maybe I should take my tap shoes and offer to dance if they're grumpy.

Workout is done! I finally tried Cardio Fusion. I did the All Step Cardio premix. It's the BM2 w/u, bonus cardio, LIC bonus cardio, and the BM2 circuits w/o the weights. Eats are good-except for 1 Lindt truffle:) Didn't get to the store for my returns but I did go to the Salvation Army and OMG! Jackpot of cheesy holiday sweaters! I'm going to go back up tonight after Danica's concert or tomorrow. Then I can buy it for $5.99 and donate it right back:)

Nina, how do you manage such tough workouts on so little sleep? Darrin went out at 6am and is on his way home now. Not too bad.

Anne, thanks! It does feel good to be doing something productive. 10 years of staying at home can do a number on your brain cells! I think you should definitely bring the tap shoes!;)

Kate, glad to hear things are going better! Enjoy your closed kitchen!

Colleen, I heard the concert is going to be a real tearjerker. They asked for photos of family members who've served in the military for a slideshow. Danica has a solo:)

Wendy, have a great time this weekend! I can't wait to see pictures! Did you get a workout in?

Oh! Darrin got a nice bonus!! Now I don't have to stress as much about Chirstmas!

packmax (and cleanmax) all day long for our trip... ended up doing C&W, always a goodie and when i was all dressed to wo it was calling to me =) JJ only slept about 75mins so ive been packing/cleaning/doing laundry in little spurts with him under foot. woke up as i was turning the shower on after C&W, oh well. dh went to pick up his mess dress and when he returns have to run out for my nail appt.

klaudia, yay, we both our WOs in! sorry, im so not up for sharing pics of myself right now, i really dont allow ppl to takethem and the few there are i always untag myself on FB! in 25-30 more lbs i will be ALL ABOUT it =) i will get there. but if i can find a link to the dress i will post it.

kate, glad things are looking up! did you wo? how is isabel?

anne, i thought of you when doing the "tap dances" in C&W =)

angie, i say throw out those m&ms!

nina, glad you got the day "off" with dh home!! sounds like you needed it.
