Good morning Cathe-friends,

I'm so glad it's Friday. This morning's WO was Max Interval Circuit. My hamstrings are screaming at me! It's soooooooo good.

I'll come back in a bit to do some personals. Gotta hit the grocery store for a couple of things. I'm going to Belgium tonight for the girls night out. I'm excited.

Gotta get the girls dressed and hair done.

Been eating too much organic dark choc lately. Goal today is one small piece.

Okay, morning went by too quickly. Was trying to do some updates on my blog. Working with iWeb. It's pretty cool.

Anyway... gotta pick up the girls in a few. Missed my care package from MIL yesterday and it's supposed to be delivered today... hope I don't miss it again.

Nina, I'm really sorry you had a bad day yesterday. We all have them. I have them A LOT. Hang in there, get a good run in today, you'll be good! We're here for ya!

Katie, have you checked your home scale to see if it also says you've gained. Keep your eye on how those pants are fitting.

Kate, have we convinced you toward insanity yet? You know you want it!

Klaudia, how are your girls doing in school? Do they like their teachers and such?

Lisa, glad you're enjoying Insanity. Sorry about all the crazy sports stuff. What's going on with dd's cheer now?

Not enough sleep for me last night - only about 5.5 hours - was up watching the Grey's premiere until late.

I have PT this morning - possibly my last visit since I am progressing so well. I have had *almost* no pain this week at all. I swear this PT has worked wonders for me.

It is cloudy and rainy and I am sleepy but I will make it thru. I will try to check back in around lunch time.

Hey ladies, if you have time can you go check out the link above and tell me what you think? This is the "gym" (really it's the only medically-based fitness center in my town, so a bit different from a normal gym) where Collin takes swimming class and other classes and we are thinking of joining.

PROS:
-it's less than 5 minutes from my house
-they have two pools where Collin could go and work on his swimming any time we want (have I mentioned that he is really good?)
-they have over 70 group fitness classes per week
-they have incredible children's programming - Kid's Klub (which is basically the daycare center), YES Club (Youth Endurance Strength), and they offer lots of classes like tumbling, swimming, karate, etc.
(I'm sure there are more)

CONS:
-it is $75/month.... Is that a lot?:confused:

There is no contract so if we join and don't use it we can cancel whenever. Maybe we can just try it for awhile and see....
 
Katie, good morning! The "gym" looks great! I would love to be a member of a gym. It does seem kind of expensive (I think Lifetime is a bit more for a family). Anyway, my question is do you have time to actually go? You probably wouldn't go in the AM before work right? So, after work? Weekends? Is it worth it? Too bad you can't pay for a weekend membership...
 
Good question Angie! Technically I could go in the morning - they open at 5:15 am. If I wanted to do something different than what I have at home, I could go there and get my hour in and still get home in time to shower and be ready for work. But more likely I would use it for the classes and pool, and probably go after work a day or two per week, and then on the weekends.

I'm also trying to think ahead to a pregnancy that is *hopefully* in my future, and I could use the pool and other machines with no impact.

Gonna be late to PT - GTG!
 
Angie, You DID convince me to order Insanity! Mike and I watched the infomercial last night and we are going to do it together after the girls go to bed each night. We are both super excited about it. We both have a good muscle base but need to burn some buttah!
Hope you have a fun night out! Mike is saying somehing about giving me some time alone this weekend but there is NO TIME for me to take it. Too much to do. I'll be glad when swim classes are done.

Katie, Well, try it for a month and see if it's worth it. I would LOVE to take group aerobics classes. The energy of them really carries you thru.

Laura is coming over to babysit this afternoon so I can go to the Fun Run at school w/ the girls. Its for an hour so that will be my cardio for the day. I'm PLANNING on back/bi's tonight.....hope I have the energy! I need to do abs today too...

s - prob a Honeycrisp
d - not sure! Maybe homemade pizza w/ lotsa veggies. ?????

Morning Kate! YAY! Can't believe you ordered insanity! The infomercial is pretty convincing! I drooled over it for a long time before I received it! Have fun with the fun run tonight! I can't wait to be able to do stuff like that with my kids.

Our care package came today... kashi, clif bars, goldfish. YUM! Therefore lunch was kashi cin harvest with a honeycrisp apple. So satisfying...

Katie I also think that you should join the gym for a month to see how it will work out and $75 per month is not expensive. check out baileys.

Kate that nice that you and dh will be working out together.

I plan today to do sts legs and some cardio maybe ellip.

My weight is up because TTOM and pretzel-max. Drinking lots of water and tea. Yday I had to show my real stuff at work. My supr seems to think that I'm confused because she is confused 80% of the time. I wish she would just stay in the office and let us do our jobs. She ordered uniform shirts for us and she ordered a size medium miss size for me. I have not worn that size in 20 years!!! Even my DD can't fit into it. she tried to say that I told her that size and one of my coworkers jump in and said that I wasn't even at work when it was ordered. Do you think that she said sorry to me.

I think it's time to go back to working in a hospital.

Happy Friday!

Easy day here today-no dance! I'm supposed to go out to dinner with some girlfriends tonight, but I'm not feeling it. I'd rather spend the money on new clothes instead of food. We'll see. I was right-my butt's a-hurtin' this morning. Today is cardio, shoulders, and those blasted abs I haven't been doing! Not sure what cardio, maybe 4DS bootcamp or an incline tm walk?

Angie, amusez-vous bien ce soir avec "les filles"! The girls like school and their teachers-they both have student teachers too. No complaints so far! Have I told you guys-Milla's teacher's dh was my first kiss in 7th grade? Small world, huh? Hooray for the care package!

Katie, if it's a no contract place, I say check it out for a month and see what you think-nothing to lose, right?

Kate, so jealous of Mike working out with you! Darrin has slacked off this summer, big time. Maybe when work slows down. I love group cardio classes too-so motivating! Have fun with your girlies today:) I think we're taking ours to the movies this weekend-all 3 of them:eek:

Robin, don't you wonder how some people become management? You probably run circles around her after only being there a month! Have a good workout!

katie, good luck at pt. as for the gym, i know for me, the 75 a month would not be worth it unless i used it 5 days a week. but, i like the fact you can cancel anytime. once i had kids, esp during the baby stage, i never went to the gym. during pregnancy, i guess i just did hi impact anyways, but if that is a concern, you may use it a lot during pregnancy. sorry - i am no help.

robin,sorry for the pretzel max - drink your water.

so, i am super stressed with work, for me and dh. to make a long complicated story short, the navy messed up his paper work, and it could take months to fix, possibley with no income or health care. i am freaking out! i have another vet meeting today, but i am not that hoepful. i did stress eat yday, and i feel like a slug. so, goals
1. stay more positive
2. no mindless munching or food therapy
3. remeber all i have to be thankful for.
wo was 10 mil run and abs, ub later
break - fruit, cereal, cc
snack - youg and fruit

Nina, great goals! I think we could all benefit from them! You will get through this. Funny-I want the clothes but then don't want to go out and wear them! And, yes workout stuff trumps going out to eat every time!

hi angie! i think we are on completely opposite schedules =) isnt it funny what you overseas? i had an elderly aunt and uncle who retired near avignon and all they wanted us to bring was pb and yellow mustard!

katie, that gym looks great, a amily/rec ctr feel, like the ymca near us... but that is pricey! will you use it enough to be worth it? i am paying $20/month incl unlimited babysitting and tanning but its just a gym, no pool, courts, kids programming, etc.

kate, you got a sitter?!?!? awesome! have fun with your big girls! homemade pizza sounds great...post a recipe idea? inspire me, please! ita that TR is a pretty off the deep end. BUT always a good reminder for me about why we do what we do and she has lits of good ideas that can be modified =) im needing the inspiration right now.

colleen, my water has been on and off, mostly off. technically i could cook but the idea of leaving dirty dishes...yuck. but kates pizza idea sounds fab...i could buy wheat dough from down the st and theres not tons of dishes for pizza!

nina, glad its a new day =) sounds like youre back on track wth great goals! didnt realize your dh was mil... mine is af and they have there share of paperwork screw ups too. i guess just like any other employer, but youd like to think theyd be better =(

Hi Everyone,

Went to the dentist this morning and my teeth are nice and clean. This morning's workout was the same as Angie's Max Interval Circuit. I rocked the workout until the second circuit from the end and then I hit a wall. I was impressed how much I have improved on the plank punches.

Kate, CTX weight work is pretty basic but each body part is 10-12 minutes, which works well with insanity. Did you order the regular or deluxe package for insanity?
Katie, I would love to join a gym for variety but I won't use it enough to justify the cost. I think it would well for your family.
Nina, sorry about the bad news from the navy. Hopefully, they can resolve it quickly. I need to set some goals. I have been snacking way too much when I get home from work.
Angie, I am not too sore this morning. Usually I am sore when I run and do insanity. Enjoy your girls night tonight.
Klaudia, tough choice. I say go out with your friends. Clothes don't bring you happiness.
Robin, what a rude manager. Sometimes they just promote people because they don't know what else to do with them.
Wendy, I hate piles of dirty dishes too. DH doesn't get why I clean the kitchen before I cook. I can't stand working around a mess when I am cooking.
Lisa, sorry about the stress cheerleading is causing you. I know your DD appreciates it. Month 1 of Insanity is a piece of cake compared to Month 2.
 
I was channeling Kate and Katie this morning-just took an apple pear crisp out of the oven and put in chocolate chip banana muffins-the house smells great! Now I just need some willpower to resist it all!

Wendy, your bit about Avignon started me singing Sur le pont d'Avignon:) I miss Nevena's morning nap!

Colleen, I go to the dentist next week-I think I need a filling too:( You're right about the clothes. I'll go and I'm sure I'll have fun:)
 
Quick drive by--sorry I've been MIA. It's been a week of moving, unpacking and settling in. The new place is nice, but it's a tad big. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I'm sure I'll feel peaceful here. It's incredibly quiet, which is good for me, I don't like a lot of noise.

I'll try to catch up on personals later today, but it may be next week. I'm heading to Chicago tomorrow for a reunion with my rowing buddies--can't wait!

I love drop sets. I just finish my tri,chest,leg sts premix...and it only took me 1 hour and 45mins:rolleyes:. I did 3/4 of legs and 1/2 of back tri. Next week is my last week of meso 1. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to do meso 2 differently. I know meso 3 will be a mixture of kettlebells. Yes I miss my babies and I used them instead of 20# DBs.

eating lunch now...I have turkey and sweet pepper sandwich and water.
