Hey Lisa! I'll get around to posting the micro link today - pretty scary stuff! that's crazy abt your fil's plant! BUt I totally believe it. Micro manufacturers only had to prove that the waves didn't escape the oven - there was nothing said abt what it did to our food....and now doing to our bodies. :eek:
Wheatgrass sounds pretty awful!:p What were you taking it for?
Weaning......:rolleyes: I let them self-wean but little Julia....does she ever love to nurse. She nurses way more thanthe other 2 at this age. Isabel was done by now. oh well....it's only a short time and she sure won't go to Kgarten doing it!:p

We have this FANTASTIC farmers market in town - I loooove when I don't have to buy from the groc store!:D Got a ton of fresh veggies yday!:D CHEAP EGGS too from a local farmer! Love it! I'm going thru over 2 dozen a week right now!:eek:
 
G'morning Kate!! Busy day ahead for you it looks like. I love shopping at the farmer's market too, but the one here has very limited winter hours. I read your post on FB about Step Moves - I really need to try it! Maybe this weekend when I have more time....

Woke up late - not sure why - off to do my run and shower - bbiab!

CS done. Did one that emphasized shoulder work. Feels so loose right now!

I just did HIIT 30 30 and I was modifying but still burn over 400 cal..that's a good workout.

Kate kindergarten :D that would be hard on the teacher. do you freeze some of the veggies?

good morning! everyone here is still sleeping....

becky, 40/20 is such fun. i just had trouble with the butt kicks - not the exercise, but the 20 sec was not enough to ad all those risers so it was more like a 40sec rest. now i know. i did the pyramid one yday and it is good, but 40/20 is def harder. have fun!

kate, scary about mwaves for sure! great job with your stretch. there is a lot of shoulder stuff i guess in 40/20 esp with the mountain climber thinges/burpees and the butt kicks over the step. give it a whirl!

good morning katie - enjoy your run. i am so excited for your ttc adventure and hope it goes smoothly for you. ttc was a bit of a nightmare for me - but i really prob should never have been able to get pregnant. so, it was all worth it:D

run this am for me, and gs c and t later. i have an ob appointment too to get some help with my hormones if i need it. sigh:rolleyes: aidan nursed until he was 16.5 months old. i miss it so much, but he was just over it.

lisa, with finn i mixed breast milk with cows milk 4:1, then gradually increased the cows milk. maybe worth a try? aidan did not care what he drank, nor did he ever want a bottle - just a cup.

yday was 100% clean, day number 3, here i come!
 
Nina, 100% clean day 3 for me too - go us!! Hope your appointment goes well today. Awesome workouts - I wish I had more time to workout.

Kate, now you've got me really intrigued by SM. I will try to find some time one night this evening to try it out. Yes, I am finding a little time in the evenings but last night I stopped early to watch The Bachelor:eek:

Run done - HIIT speed intervals, 5 min break, then 15 more mins steady state. Tonight will be abs, stretch, and maybe some floor work lb stuff.

Okay I survived !!!! Good thing for me it's short though !!!;)

It's definitely a heart pumper !!!!!!

There are some moves using your shoulder Kate. Pushups are in there some and then the butt kicks over the step.

I needed more space than I had for the one jumping forward, side , forward and tuck, so I did side to side ski hops. and I don't have as many risers as they used but I'm not sure I'd WANT to !!!:p:p
Overall, I liked it !

Now.........FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
 
Good Morning Everyone!

I just want to say that I am tired of winter. It is so cold out, so cold in my office at work that my skin is so dry. I have a humidifier for my house and then a portable one for my bedroom to try to help retain some moisture. This morning was 40/20, KCM 30 min Athletic Step and KCM abs from Muscle Definition. I bought more step risers last week and I really felt them in 40/20. I was prepared with the extra risers (based on everyone's warning) so I did not take an extra rest there.

Kate, I microwave my lunch most days. I guess I am going to have to figure something else out. Maybe I can get a hot plate and warm things up on it. I guess it is better than waiting in line for the microwave.
Becky, I agree 40/20 was definitely a heart pumper. I was surprised how quick the breaks were.
Katie, ^5 on the clean eats. I thought SM was a fun workout but it did not get my hr up. I guess insanity has killed cardio for me.
Nina, ^5 on the clean eats too! Good luck with the dr. appt.
Robin, back to work and it will be nice? I guess because the holiday crowds are gone?
Lisa, too funny about loving the bachelor. I watch reality shows when I just want to clear my head. They are funny.
Clintonya, I would say do just 30 minutes each day of the STS rotation. If you can, go heavier since you will be doing fewer exercises. If you have some time later in the day you can squeeze in some abs.
Klaudia, yeah for getting SS in yesterday. How are you feeling today?
Anne, did you get STS yesterday?
Angie, how did the ear piercing go?

Lisa, thx for the info about insanity. When I am off of my self-set “spending freeze” I will take a look at it :) Good job on the eating!

Kate, was telling the family about what you mentioned about the microwave – my oldest dd was saying she doesn’t want to use it anymore :) Sounds like good buys at the farmer’s market. Let me know if anything works for the gray!

Becky, great job on 40/20. I am going to try the rotation so I will be attempting that tomorrow. I haven’t tried that one yet, so we will see how it goes. My oldest dd is thinking of doing the rotation too, she has a love/hate relationship with Cathe :)

Katie, good job on your run and on the start of your bootcamp! I find myself getting caught up a lot of times too :) Running back and forth out to pick up the girls from dance makes me snap out of it:)

Thanks for the advice – I think I will go ahead and do it. I am going to start today with disc 1. Back when I did sts before I had more time, but I will try to squeeze in as many minutes as I can.

Clintonya, do you have 4DS? That would be easy to split up in 30 minute bites. Not that your current plan isn't a good one--just another suggestion. I saw your pics on FB and your family is beautiful! How did your girls get to dance at Radio City Music Hall?

Colleen, I'm with you; it is so cold here and they say it's not going to get better for at least a week. And today it's gray to boot.

Becky, great job! I'm scared of 40/20 and probably won't attempt it for a few more weeks. I need to build my cardio capacity back up.

Katie, that's funny about The Bachelor. I watched Hoarders last night, have you seen that one? OMW, for a neat freak (me!) it's tough to watch. It's like a car wreck, though, I can't look away.

Nina, I can never remember--which one of your kids is older? I love their names, by the way, did I ever tell you that?

Robin, I did HiiT 30/30 last night. Wasn't it fun? Okay, I admit, I only did 10 of the intervals, but it's a start! Plus I went to tap class, so I figure that makes up the difference.

Kate, are you going to try to the new Farmer's Market downtown? I think I'll swing by there this weekend. I think it opened on NYE.

Klaudia, how's the BTS breakfast? I was going to take the day off and come down, but I have FIVE meetings today. How did that happen?

Okay, it's meeting madness for me today. Tonight I'm going to do 1RMs and call it an upper body work out. I also need to do abs. I got STS yesterday as well as my Cathe calendar. I didn't open the calendar yet because I didn't have time. But I'll open it when I get home.

Hey girls!

Breakfast was fun! My friends brought all sorts of goodies-bagels, fruit salad, a lemon bundt cake, danish ring from Panera, Tim Horton's donut holes, and a yogurt parfait:) I had a bagel, fruit, a small piece of cake and a donut hole:eek: Oh, and a mimosa;) Today is a cardio day-I'm thinking either a treadmill incline walk (ease back into things) or one of the MMA workouts. Have to figure out dinner too-something in the crockpot or baked spaghetti:) And I want to make some veggie soup too.

Kate, I use my micro too much I think. But it's so easy. May have to look into alternatives. I need to start making more eggs too-hardboil a dozen each week. I wish we had a farmer's market nearby-the ones we do have close in October:( I may try the CSA again next year.

Katie, nice run! And great job on the clean eats! I watched some of the Bachelor too-I'm embarrassed for those girls!

Becky, glad you survived 40/20!

Nina, nice workout! I nursed for 6 months-I wish I had the desire to go longer but I wanted my body back!

Colleen, I'm with ya on being done with winter! It's so depressing. And it messes with our schedules too-Darrin works 40 hours then ends up doing snow and sleeping-BLAH! Awesome workout!

Clintonya, I agree with Anne-4DS is great if you're short on time. Do your girls dance every day? My oldest dances M-Th! But she loves it, so I can't complain. Better there than roaming the streets!

Anne, yes I do have 4ds. Thanks for the suggestion. If this doesn’t work out well, I will try that. The Rockettes have some programs during the summer, one of them is the Rockettes experience. The whole thing was about 5 hrs and included a tour. They really enjoyed it. They have an actual Rockette teaching and they learned a real number that they do in their shows. It was funny, over the holidays we were watching the Christmas Rockette show on PBS and Jasmin said, that is the tap dance we learned :) Sorry about all the meetings. I lose focus for the day when I have more than one!

Klaudia, the oldest dances on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and the youngest on Monday, Friday, and Saturday. And I agree, especially for my oldest, it is great that she has something to do that keeps her busy and fit. Saturday she dances from 9:00-10:30 so after that she doesn’t feel like doing much for the day :) Breakfast sounded great! Did you decide on the treadmill or one of the mma workouts?

Kate - I do the self wean thing also. P def nurses more than my other two did though. I totally don't mind though because I am pretty certain she's our last one and I just want babyhood to last just a wee bit longer, lol. They grow up way too fast. I wish we had a good farmer's market nearby, but no such luck. DH drives out to the country for work so I should make him pick up eggs from the local farm out there. RE: Wheatgrass, I took it a few years back for the supposed health reasons, but I couldn't stomach it. I could taste it even when it was mixed with other things kwim? Very grassy smell and taste to me. It could have totally been psychologically for me, but I just couldn't do it.

Katie - Oooh, another Bachelor watcher. I dvr'ed mine so watching it today. DH would not let me have it on the TV, lol.

Becky - Helloooo....did you survive?

Klaudia - Pass me some mimosa! A treadmill wo sounds like a good way to ease into things.

Anne - Have fun with STS. I really want it also, but must curb my spending this year.

Nina - Never though of doing that, but I'm so over pumping. I might try that though, thanks! Hormones, no fun. Awesome with the clean eats!!

Colleen - Insanity totally killed cardio for me too! However, I did Cardio Core Circuit today and that one at the end got me pretty good.

Clintoya - I'm on a budget also. I forgot about the 4DS like Anne mentioned.

Hello to the other CT ladies! I finished doing Cardio Core Circuit this morning. Whew, that ones a toughie toward the end. Off to make a veggie omelet for bfast than dropping my car off for service. Working from home when P allows it. BTS for the older kids today. Ballet also is back on for dd and ds has his first basketball game of the season on Sat so trying to prepare for the week mentally to not get overwhelmed. Ok gotta go. P is grabbing the mouse and clicking away.

Clintonya, I think I'm going to do the treadmill while I preview the MMAs:) I took a 2 week break from working out and need to get back into the swing of things before I go hardcore again!;) That's so cool about the Rockettes! Danica did a dance camp with Automotion-the Detroit Pistons dance team-it was so neat to see her on the hardwood during halftime of a game:)
 
Klaudia, I think we should take your girls to the dance thing in NYC with the Rockettes. Doesn't your brother live there? We could visit him, too. What a blast!

Hi clean and tidies! phew!!! Made it to powerjust in time and it was great. my elbow is all better. for the first time EVER, JJ was fussing for me so I took him right after class. DH finally let us walk again, lol! JJ fell asleep on the way home so I walked for about an hour. Still no shower and im a mess! today has been clean but pc could be better. i felt starved after power and then walking and SCARFED a big sandwich and salad.

B – apples ,oatmeal, coffee
L – blt and salad with roasted veg
D – leftover salmon loaf and veggies

Kate, I thought JJ would self-wean when ready but all of sudden I feel gnawed on (he’s not, I just feel that way) and ready to be done. Plan to stick it out another wk and if I feel the same then the weaning is on. Both your big girls weredone by this age? lovelovelove farmers markets!

Hi Katie, nice wo!! and 100% clean,awesome! I really liked SM too, you will love it. but I felt like the music and picture were a tad out of sync and it tripped me up a little... I need to try again.

Robin, id love to hear about your hiit mods, maybe I could try these after all? My knee is in no shape for jumping and my wrists cant take repetitive weight in a flexed position like plank or tri dips… hooray for a nice day at work =)

Nina, wtg on 100% clean! You and Katie are on a roll! Is it harder or easier to eat clean with dh home? For me, its always easier to stay on track with food and workouts when he is gone. JJ never got a bottle either! Cant say he wouldnt “take” it because we hardly offered it…dh was away from 3 – 9 months old and by then he took a cup.

Colleen, that’s quite a wo, hiit ++ KCM! Whats for eats? Tried kcm step boxing and didn’t love it. But would I love athl step or others from her 30min series? Icould get them on Netflix…

Clintonya, love kpc, it was one of my first cathes and it kicked my butt! Never heard of wheatgrass helping for grays but clairols an option =) I second annes suggestion on 4DS for short and sweet...and idk abt high impact for you but I have no prob modifying anything in 4DS.

Anne, 1rm sounds like a pain. Thanks on the wedding pics! That was almost my lowest weight, I lost another 8lbs or so after that. IDC about the scale as much as Idlove to be that size again! All my clothes are calling me… lol.

Klaudia, I HRT mimosas!!!! Wish I lived closer =) I was thinking of CSA this spring but we may be in cali, where the FMs are all year round, yippee! Whats baked spaghetti?

Lisa, CCC looks awesome but didn’t seem very modifiable for me, unfortunately. im totally over pumping too. Hoping JJ self-weans soon or I have may have to end it…

Wendy, a workout and an hour long walk! Nice! I love the CSA but find it a challenge to eat some of the produce-ground cherries, kohlrabi, and tons of beets! If I do it again, I need to be prepared with lots of recipes!
