Happy Memorial Day to my US friends. :) Hope you all have a great holiday!

Got up early and got ME done... I'd like to start working out in the AM. So nice to have it done early! I'm WEAK (Kate, hopefully soon I can say I'm strong)!

Gotta hop in the shower and get the kids to school and then have French lessons. Still will be back before you all wake up... unless Lisa's up! Goodnight Lisa!

French lesson done. I'm so discouraged because I continue to learn things and while I understand them, I have no avenue to practice them so it's just frustrating. I also lack motivation because I don't have "need" for the language. Ugh...

Anyway, I'm going to eat some lunch and do some cleaning. I've left the girls at school for the day and just have some time to myself. I need to do laundry and clean bathrooms and other such fun things so I should keep busy. It's cloudy though and I kind of feel like just curling up and taking a nap. :)

I'm so glad I already worked out!!!

à bientôt!

Morning Angie!! Aren't AM workouts the best?? I really love them!!
Kate, sounds like you had an awesome day! Any new stuff from PB or Dick's? STS c/b makes me feel STRONG too!
Anne, the front door is dark brown, same color as it used to be, but it was just in need of a re-do.
I can't remember what else I read yesterday! Agghhh!
Oh, I know. Colleen, I would have opted for the burger too. I don't really care for seafood at all and I agree that crabs are a lot of work.

Party went very well, there was a TON of food and lots leftover. Everyone had a really good time and stayed for several hours and lots of people brought us cards and/or anniversary presents which I was not expecting at all! They all raved about how good the deck looked too, and I agree - I really do love it. I took a *few* pictures that I will post later on.

But here is the REAL news of the day yesterday... There is this stray cat that has been living around our house for almost a year now, but she has really only been coming around for two or three months. I named her Marcy, and she will come lay on our front stoop when we have the front door open. Chris has gotten her inside the house one time for about 30 seconds.

Chris decided recently that Marcy was looking awfully chunky, and on Friday she was laying outside next to one of my plants and I DEFINITELY saw her belly moving!

So yesterday afternoon, Chris was doing something in the driveway and heard squeaking. He yelled for me, and there was Marcy under a bush in our front yard with four brand new babies!!

I called my friend who rescues cats, and she said we needed to get Marcy and her babies inside where they would be safe. So we got a box with some towels and Chris put on some hefty gloves and one by one got the babies out of the bush and then the Momma. Marcy actually escaped once and we had to re-capture here, but everyone is safe and sound together in my garage!

Oh and my the way, this was all happening about 30 minutes before my party started. I will try to post picture of the Momma and babies too!

Okay, off to make scones for the family! Blueberry, raspberry, and chocolate chip!

Oh yes, and HAPPY 1st WEDDING ANNIVERSARY to ME (and Chris)!!

salut, angie! ca va? ca va bien pour moi! je suis desolee that you are feeling so blue about the french! maybe curling up & napping is just what you need!

katie, we got a beach umbrella@ pb and @ dicks we got a yoga block to help me stretch tight hammies and 90# more of plates. My hubby is so strong...swoon!:p
THAT IS SO EXCITING aBOUT THE KITTNES!!!!! cant wait to see pics. the girls will love them too!
glad your party was a hit!

-
no big plans for today. cooking, cleaning, and an outdoor run in there somewhere.

hap[py anniversary katie!! so glad the party went well, and how exciting about the kitties. a word of advice - please try to keep them isolated from your own cats for safety. also, wash well before and after handling. i am sure you knew that. great wo! i think you asked yesterday how long it takes me to run 14 miles - i think it was about 1hr and 56min. i usually run a 7:30-8:30 min mil (longer as i go farther, etc). can uyou post your recipe for scones? ds's wuld love them.

kate, you are strong! fun purchases, and your day sounds nice.

good morning angie. you are not weak! you are doing way more than most people. enjoy some you time today.

yesterday was so nice. my mom decided not to stay overnight. i was a bit relieved truthfully as she will be over for the whole day soon. i just feel so sorry about her so often. i went to my dad's sister's for her son's grad party and it was just awkward. my mom was very brave to be there. my dad is just out to lunch:mad: then, at 7:45 last night someone knocked on our door to look at our house. they are fdorm california and are moving here in 6 weeks. they said they lvoed it. lets hope it pans out....

i did 50 min of intervals on ellipt and some legs today. i did get my ub and abs done yesterday afternoon, so i am all caught up. no major plans today except mulching, mowing the lawn, and taking finn for an ic cone. i will get a very small sorbet. bbiab

Good Morning Everyone!

Happy Anniversary Katie!!!!

Well I tried to put together my squat racks last night and ended up with extra parts and unsecured screws. I asked DH to help me today to get it together correctly. I need to iron today and clean the grill. I want to try to do some organizing too but we'll see if I have time for that.

Kate, ^5 on being strong and the great purchases.
Morris, I am glad your mom made the right decision. I hope the people from ca buy your house.
Katie, congrats on the kittens. Glad your party went well.
Anne, sounds like you had a relaxing weekend. Great job on your run.
Angie, I want to learn another language too but I wouldn't be able to practice either. Hang in there.

Off to workout - I am thinking BM2 - at a minimum I need to do UB but I want to tack on some cardio.

Spent the last couple of hours just relaxing and catching up on the end of 24... that show is just crazy. I had an awesome lunch! You guys would have been so proud! I had turkey from some kebabs, some rice, and veggies! My plate looked so healthy. I also had an apple! I'm getting more well rounded. What's the best way for me to prepare the veggies. I've been cooking them in a frying pan with a little olive oil but I'm sure it's better to steam them but I don't know how...

Happy Anniversary Katie! So exciting. Glad your party went well. Enjoy your scones and your day off! And I'm SOOO jealous of the kittens. There is nothing in the world I love more than a precious little kitten... unfortunately they grow up to be cats right?

Kate, I miss things like pottery barn! :) I think I could use a nap today... I'm still considering it! 5:30 is an early time to start the day!

Morris, thanks for the encouragement. I know I will rebuild my strength quickly. It's just frustrating to feel like I'm starting from scratch and that I go through this cycle continuously! :) YAY about the house! Do you have it listed by owner? I hope it works out!!!

Colleen, your day sounds like it will be productive. YAY for BM2. I love that one!! Good luck with your squat rack.

Going to clean up my lunch mess... then not sure. bbiab

Happy Memorial Day and Happy Anniversary Katie!

Had a great time at the bbq yesterday-came home around 10 having eaten way too many treats! Today my back is killing me from my kb class, I think. Easy day here-Darrin is working til around 2 and I need to do a bit of cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping. As for my workout, I'll probably go for a walk with the girls and some abs.

Angie, great job on getting ME done in the am! I wish I could get my workouts done in the morning, but it just ain't gonna happen! I'd curl up and take a nap, too:)

Katie, glad the party was a success! I hope you get the kitty to a safe place. I found newborn kittens once on a late night walk-on the sidewalk with no mama in sight. We were able to save one, but one died in my dad's hands-so sad:( We named the other one Lucky and he got adopted from the kitty rescue:)

Kate, you were crazy busy yesterday! I wish I could have a party that was done before dinner. I need to get Darrin to Dick's-he so needs more weight and a squat rack. I wish he'd listen to me about a rotation, too. Grrr.

Morris, hope the late night visitors pan out! You are fast! Enjoy your treat today:)

Colleen, hope you get everything done today. Tough workout, too!

Anne, I made Yugo salad-cukes, tomatoes, onions, red pepper, olive oil, a drop of vinager, Yugo spice, and feta cheese. So good!

Hi Lisa and Robin!

Off to get some coffee...

kl, glad yday went well. nice plans today too.

Had to save us from page 2!

Lots of cleaning done! Waiting for Darrin to get home from work and Nevena to go down for a nap. Hoping to get outside later this afternoon. Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

Geez... where is everyone today? Kind of like a weekend I guess...

Annabel wanted McDonald's for dinner (blech) but I had a salad... no harm done.

Gotta give the girls a scrub in the tub and get them to bed... bed for me too!

G'night!

I'm here!!!

Got my groceries and got lunch done too.
Need to do some veggie choppin - steak kebabs w/ red pepper, red onion & mushrooms. Going to put mine over salad and I'm making homemade egg noodles for the fam. Might do roasted green beans too.... That's a lot of food tho! So many recipes, so little time!:p

Klaudia, Sounds like a nice day your way! Hope Nevena takes a good long nap for you!:D

Angie, WTG on the salad!
I *hate* bathing the girls!!!!

robin, youre not lost hiking in the woods somewhere are you?:p

:DNo but I did have fun at sunset park. They hard free music.

Busy weekend with the kids.My ds came to town and now we are on our way to fam BBQ. I hope it does not rain.

Happy Anniversary Katie.

Happy Anniversary Katie! And congrats on the kittens!
Angie - Sorry about the French lessons. Does your DH speak French?
Morris - Wow, you are a fast runner. Have you ever done a marathon?
Kate - Yay on solo grocery trip! Wow, homemade egg noodles! I'm impressed!
Klaudia - I did some cleanmax today too. Hoping to do more later.
Colleen - I love BM2 and wished I had the time to do the whole wo. Not lately. Maybe in a few mos I will.
Hi Robin, Anne!

One more day of family and back to normal. Planning on a bbq today. Eats were horrible yesterday. At least I got a wo in. It's so muggy here. Anyway, planning on cleaning up a little today. Then I will do some GS CT and a walk later. Maybe a run if the weather stops being so sticky.

Lisa

Katie take pics of babies.

Workout done but my energy level is low. Maybe I need vitamins or less drama.

I'm thinking of taking off the summer and doing STS when the kids go back to school...their last day of school is June 10. They interupt me about 100 times per day. Also I'm planning on taking long weekend vaca so a 3 day rotation is not going to be doable.

When I wrote my ds is in town I meant my sister.

Kl what size kbells do you swing around in class.

lawn max done! whew! and a great family morning running around outside. both kids conked out. eats weer strange and a bit much this am, but consequently i have zero appretite now. should all even out.

klaud, i too am wondering what size kbs you use. nice day planned/.

robin, good idea with sts. what will you do this summer?

kate, good job with the chores. enjoy the rest of your day.

colleen, where in your home do you have your saquat rack?

hi lisa - hope your fam leaves soon:D

surviving my day with my mom - lots of good parts, but i did have to tell her what i thought when she mentioned "if your father comes back...." i get so angry:mad:

okay, no more negativity!

Yay! Darrin's home!

Robin, have a great time at your bbq! We're invited to another one, but I think we're going to pass. For yesterday's kb class, I used a 30# kb for swings (we did 5 1 minute rounds w/30 sec breaks) and 2 15#s for push presses (2 sets of 20) in addition to lunges, burpees, deadlifts, crab/bear walks . I am sore today!

Morris, did you have your treat yet? I'm so bloated from all the junk I ate this weekend-guzzling the water today. Glad your hanging in there with mom.

Lisa, have fun with the family-the end is in sight;) Hope you get a workout in!

bbiab...

glad its going well, robin! have fun w/ your sis!:D
lol - i ws planning my summer rotation yday and thought sept would be a good time to do sts again! but i think i'll do meso 2 in july

lisa, i shae your pain on eats. mine arent the greatest....why is it so hard? it is sooo easy for mike to say no. and i totally have my wo's on track.. i just need to shut my mouth!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

morris, good for you for speakong your mind. so hard tho,,....
glad youre having a good day!:D

klaudia glad youve got d back!:D enjoy a family night in!
that class sounds fun & awful all at the same time!

-
my chest is so wickedly wonderfully sore from sts last night. yessssss!
no run yet. will have to wait til j goes to bed....sigh!

Happy Anniversary Katie and Chris!

Kate, how were those kabobs? They sound delish.

Klaudia, that kettlebell work out sounds awesome. I thought of you when the Wings won yesterday!

Robin, sorry about the family drama. I hope the visit with your sister is going well.

Morris, go for you for speaking your mind! It really does help sometimes, I think.

Colleen, did you get a lot done today?

Angie, sorry about the French lesson. Do you have any neighbors you could practice with?

Hi, Lisa!

We went out to breakfast this morning and then took a walk through the gardens at MSU. For those of you that don't know, Michigan State has beautiful and extensive horticultural gardens. And this time of year so many things are in bloom! It was really nice.

Then we went to Meijer to get plants and I planed the annual flowers this afternoon. We have a ridiculous number of flower beds, like 10 or 11, but I only put annuals in one of them. The rest are all perennials. I planted bronze leaf pink begonias this year (we have lots and lots of shade). I usually like planting impatiens, but that would have meant a trip to another store. We've had *really* good luck with plants from Meijer's, so I'm optimistic they'll do well. Plus I fertilized them and put mulch down. And we're supposed to get light rain for the next two days. I hope so!

I was supposed to do B&G today, but I took a nap instead. Whoops. The 2 1/2 hours of yardwork wiped me out.

Oh, and we went and saw Is Anybody There? last night. It was a good movie, but I don't recommend it to people who have mothers with advanced Alzheimer's. I cried and cried and cried, it really set me off. Oh, well, crying is a good way to relieve stress, right?

I hope everyone's had a good day! I'll see you in the AM. I'll tell you now I'm scheduled to get up early and run 3 miles tomorrow. Wish me luck!
