Hi girlies!

I started a post this morning but lost it and then ran out of time. I'm very disappointed in myself. I didn't work out again yesterday. And the lack of consistent exercise combined with poor food choices (like eating all your kids' Halloween candy:eek:) is becoming evident-my ab definition is gone as it is pretty much everywhere. I've made a committment to myself to not eat any treats-sweet or salty for the next two weeks. And to up my workouts to 5 days/week minimum. Now the hard part-sticking to it!

Kate, what are you making for dinner? I need to get something in the crockpot after I post:)

Angie, sorry about the tummy troubles. Hope they don't last long! The girl from that website moved to Malta I think-must be nice!;)

Robin, is that a new collector's issue or the one from this summer? I should go pull that one out-my abs are a mess!

Anne, I've been a sloth with you! I've been averaging 3 workouts/week for too long-not good. At least you have tap!

Becky, what a great day! I'm hoping for some quality time with dh this weekend-it's our anniversary on Sunday and the girls are spending the night at my parents' house:) Maybe I can get him to take a kettlebell class on Sunday, but I doubt it-he's too chicken!;)

Katie, great attitude! You will reach your goal, no worries:)

Nina, how scary! I was rear ended once on an exit ramp-the girls were asleep and never even woke up! Glad everyone's ok. I just got back from Target-got some sweaters and shirts, but could go back for more-I didn't even scratch the surface!

Colleen, ugh. I hope you can find something filling to tide you over til tomorrow afternoon!

Workout will be 4DS upper body circuit-for the 3rd try this week!

Just finsihed my daily CS'ing and now I'm doing my knee swings while I'm chattin' with you!

Wendy, What did they have you doing for your knee pain? I just have these swings to do.....sitting up on a high chair/bar stool with an ankle weight on. I swimg my knee and then there's something like my cartilidge getting negative suction and going back where it should be. Im sure I did a horrible job explaining that!:p:p:p

Colleen, Hope today is going fast for you and your starvation day goes even faster! I think I'd be havin' me some IC tonight knowing I'd be missing out on basically a day's worth of cals. But, sigh, I suppose that's why I don't have a 6-pack!:p

Klaudia, I'll join you in your no sweets/WO goal! I've been doing CS everyday and while that's all well and good I need some C&W! I need to sit and make up a rotation for my lame self!

I made an ohsolovely cake and we're having tacos for dinner - t'salad for me w/ plenty o'salsa. Mike's grandma and cousin are coming over for his cousin's birthday. We had to miss the party bec of all our illness!:eek:
I had about a half cup of leftover chocolate frosting. I was going to save it in the fridge.....but I threw it out. I knew I'd only end up dippping pretzels in it and being really mad at myself. Must. Lose. Weight.
 
i totally rocked mic! that is my favorite wo i think. had a nice big bowl of steamed spinch, tiny bit of cheese and tomato soup. so yummy, esp as i feel kind of nauseous. not wo nauseous, but kind of like morning sickness nausea. but i am not pregnant:confused:

kate, must admit, you lost me on your explanation. does your knee hurt all the time? after exercise? only if you exercise? do you have the squeeze dvds? i used the orig a lot when i had my broken foot for the ab work and the lb floor work. i really tightened up. could you plan just 1 day a week at the pool? maybe get laura to go with you and watch julia there so you could do something?

klaudia, whta a great goal. i am not sure i could do no sweets for 2 weeks. i am having something lately everyday, but it is pc and relatively clean. my adiction i must confess is kashi dk choc coconut fruit and grain bars. has anyone had these? omw they are amazing. i wish i could bkae something similar and make it toally clean. i hope you guys do something nice for your aniversary. what about a movie?

colleen, good luck with the fasting. i once broke my nose and had to have a procedure to realign my septum. it was at 8 am and i ran like 9 imiles first then fasted. i was sooooo sick after. not a good plan!

angie, you should go to malta! not too far from you, is it? my dh went there a few times with the navy. sighhh

becky, i am trying that wo tomorrow for sure. i think it would even be fun if you made it circuit style - ie 5 min on the bike or tm between each exercise!! hmmmm, what a fun idea....

okay, must get finn up. i cannot believe he napped today!
 
Nina, I like your idea about a circuit workout............buuuuuuuut maybe you should try it as is first . I was very surprised just how winded I was . You do this one quickly.....one exercise after the next, no resting........I finished in 30 minutes and was very sweaty and breathing hard . I felt I got both strength and cardio in that one workout . But let me know if you try it with bike/tm in between.
 
Woo hoo! I got my workout done! I love 4DS BC! I have bbq chicken in the crockpot-I found a bbq sauce w/o hfc. It's called Stubb's. Gonna make corn on the cob with it and potatoes, I think. And I don't have to stay at dance, just drop off:) I'm going to make some coffee with no sugar added chocolate milk instead of coffee cream-hope it tastes good!

Kate, please do-I need all the accountability I can get! I have been gorging myself on candy-like 6 snack size pieces a day:eek: I feel and look blech.

Nina, I love those Kashi bars-have you tried the pumpkin pie one? Yummy! I think we'll go out to dinner now that I got some new clothes;) and maybe out for a drink after or a movie-I'd be better off at the bar. I can resist alcohol way more than popcorn!
 
Kl, did you find that sauce at Meijer? And what's your crock pot recipe for BBQ chicken? I need to make something this weekend.

Angie, I love sleeping till noon. I haven't done it in a loooooooong time, but I am wont to lay in bed and read until quite late on the weekends.

Katie, I'll try to do my pre-test this weekend so I can start on Monday. At least it will be *something*, right? And some people consider push ups a total upper body exercise.

Anne, I did! It has regular corn syrup, but no hfc. It was the lesser of all evils. The recipe I used is this:

1 bottle bbq sauce (12 oz.)
1/2 cup Italian dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs. Worcestshire sauce

Mix all ingredients together and pour over 6 frozen chicken breasts. Cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low. You can then shred it and make pulled bbq chicken sandwiches-maybe with a little cole slaw on the bun, too?:)
