Good Morning, Ladies! What do you have planned for the day?!

A few errands for me and we're having some company for dinner tonight. Hoping my girls are all on the mend - we'll see when they wake up in a bit.

My knee.....grrrrr.....Didn't do any one thing specific - it just started hurting one day. So I'm on no impact and have an exercise from my chiro. I hope it's helping....I am super bummed about it.

Wendy, HOw was your night? Did JJ sleep good for you? Julia was a bit of a stinker but I slept from 12-6 so I guess that's somehitng!
 
Good morning Kate!

Well, our first night went super well. Kept the kids up until 10:30 and they slept straight to 10:30. Then last night we put them down at 8:30 and they were up at 1. Stayed up until 4. Bummer. Then I slept until noon. Oops. Not helpful to jet lag issues.

So, we'll have to try to figure something out today. I was going to take them to school but guess that's not happening. Oh well.

Today will be some sort of cardio hopefully. Ryan is home with a tummy bug (couldn't keep bfast down) and I've been somewhat nauseous as well... just what we need - another sickness.

WOW, ANGIE!!! That jetlag is ca-razy!!!! That would drive me nuts! we go to Colorado Thanksgiving week and I am dreading what that is going to do to Julia!:confused:
Sorry Ryan isn't feeling well - Mike had a weird bug yday....but I'll spare you all the details!:p Let's just say I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants!:p Hope you don't get sick!

Welcome back Angie boo to jet lag. Congrat on Dh losing 20#...but he cheated he has testosterone on his side.;)

Kate I hope the girls are ok today. My kids are fine and they are going to school. Kate tell us why you was laughing. Tell us you know you want to.

Early morinng core workout done. I did another Oxygen mag workout and it took about 10mins. Got a good burn going. I'm getting mentally ready for meso 3...starts on Sat.

Off to work.
 
Whew! It's been a super busy couple of days. Not a bad thing, but just lots to do. I'm doing a training session tomorrow and there's a *lot* of prep that goes with it. I have been a slug--poor eating and no work outs. But I have tap tonight, so that will be fun.

Robin, I'm glad your kids are healthy again. How long do you have to work today?

Kate, are you flying or driving to CO? I presume flying, but you never know!

Angie, welcome back! Did you have a good trip to the States?

Katie, you mentioned the 100 pushup challenge. I was thinking about doing that, too. Do you want to do it together? I'm sure you can do way more pushups than I can, but being accountable would be helpful to me. They have a 200 situp challenge too. I did the pre-test for that and I got to 65. The site says at that level you should start at week 3 of the 6 week plan, so that makes me think I don't really need it. When I get back on track with Cathe my core will be fine. Tap helps, too. I noticed a big difference in my ab work after I started tapping.

Hi Girls !

No checkin or workout for me yesterday . DH got the day off work for Veteran's Day. We had a great day:) but it didn't include a workout.:(
We did some Christmas shopping, went out to lunch & just enjoyed the day.
This morning I did the 500 rep workout off of bodyrocktv . OH MY GOSH!!!!! It is 10 exercises, 50 reps each ! Tough stuff. It took me 30 minutes and then I added on 30 min. of yoga from yogatoday.com .
Fantastic workout that had my muscles shaking !
DOMS tomorrow for sure !

I added pumpkin to my protein pancake this morning and topped it with pumpkin butter and it was a real treat ! YUMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

Hi to everyone ! Angie, I'm glad you had a good trip and are safely back in France. I hope everyone adapts SOON to the time.....and you dh feels better soon !

Hey girls,

So I'm pretty sure Ryan and I have the flu. I woke up yesterday feeling a bit nauseous and today am feeling the same. So, we've had to reschedule Annabel's birthday party for next weekend which is no simple task in French and trying to communicate to all the parents. We had a friend call the school to ask if the teacher could tell the parents that the party had changed and the secretary originally was saying that it is a private matter not having to do with the school but I guess eventually was willing to communicate to the teacher. Such a strange culture we're living in. I sent emails to all the parents I had addresses for but there are still 2 that I don't have. Geesh.

Robin, seems like you get a lot of good info from oxygen. Have a great day at works.

Anne, hello! How are you? Where are you and Katie getting the info for these challenges? Sounds good to me! I would like to join as well (once I'm feeling better).

Becky, that wo sounds awesome. I've never heard of it. Does it get old doing so many reps or does it go by quickly? Thanks for the well wishes.

Nina, you asked about the hundred pushup challenge. I forget the website but if you google it you can read all about it. You are doing several sets each day - like yesterday I did 10-7-8-8-9 or something like that.

Angie, I am glad to know that you are home safely but sorry about all the sleep issues, etc. That is awesome about Ryan and his 20#!

Kate, what's for dinner tonight? How long has that knee been hurting? Is there any way that you take take an aqua-aerobics class or something?

Robin, are the core routines you mentioned in this month's Oxygen magazine? I'll have to check it out. Is work crazy gearing up for holiday sales?

Thanks for your support yesterday - and for the reality check. Ten pounds may or may not be realistic, and I won't beat myself if I don't reach it. But as they say, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you don't make it, you will land among the stars." I know that I will drop a few pounds (of water weight) pretty easily just by cleaning it up for a few days. The scale was already 1.5# down today from yesterday. For some reason I really hold on to a lot of water weight when my eating is bad.

4.25 mile run this morning (felt GLORIOUS!) and swimming after work with Collin.

I'll check back at lunch if I can find the time!
 
good morning all. i am dragging and sore today. last night i was rearened on my way home from the meeting. it was so scary. the drivers in fla are terrible! i am fine and did not hit who was in fromt of me, thankfully, but i had nightmares all night. stiff today, but fine. i got in an interval run but am palnning to do mic later. we will see.

kate, i hope that knee heals fast. have you ever had probs before? what are you baking?

becky, i will have to check out that wo. yummy breakfast!

angie, that is awful you are both sick. can anyone help with the girls? sick on top of jet lag sounds awful.

Nina, how scary! I was rearended a few years ago by a semi and actually was driving behind Ryan (he and I both stopped for a car in front of him to turn) so I hit him and my car (that I had owned for about 6 weeks) was squished on both ends and totaled! So sad. I'm glad you are ok. You might want to take it easy on weight work today because that kind accident injury can take a bit to show up. I've never done MIS... I'm interested in it. Is it heavy or low weight/high rep? I have it. Maybe I'll fit it in soon.

Katie, I think your goals are good ones. I hear you on taking it slowly. I think it's just important to keep yourself positive in knowing that you are doing the right thing. Will you continue to run regularly?

I'm so annoyed that we're sick. Just not what I needed. I can't believe it's almost dinner time. Sleeping until noon makes the day go by quickly...

becky, i just looked at the 500 repwo on that site and it looks awesome. i am overwhelmed by all the wos there, though. which have you done? any easy way to navigate it? very very cool. i would love to try that site for a rotation, you know?

Nina, I'm losing it... I misread in so many ways about your WO. I was sitting there wondering how you were going to do insanity plus MIS. I think I'm tired... Have fun at target!
 
Angie, LOL @ sleeping til noon! My teen sisters do it ALL THE TIME! I used to be able to but I can't sleep past 6AM anymore! boo!:p

Good morning everyone!

Busy day ahead wrapping everything up at work, then rest tonight and starve tomorrow. I am going to eat a small meal late tonight so I can make it until my surgery tomorrow. I have a luncheon today for a coworker who is leaving so I need to figure out what to eat.

I need to run but I will try to be back later for personals.
 
Nina- I'd be with you on the rotation ! I've only done one other workout from the site and it was Abtorture ! I loved that one too. I just found this site and I am overwhelmed too. but have loved what I've done.
I really felt that workout today. It was super tough. I looked awful doing the turkish getups but those were new to me. SO I only did 25 but added on to some of the other exercises to make up for it .
