Morning

I slept like a rock and loving it. I have so much energy today.

Colleen I hope the power is back on today.

Nina what did you end up doing yday? Do you like yoga?

Becky yes that was a good workout yday. I remember the days I had to shovel heavy show and I hated it. I want to go to Hawaii and stay there forever.

Anne your dinner yday sounds so good.

Angie ^5s on the DOMS B&G gets me every time.
-------------
My plans today is early service church, crock pot turkey wings, MIS (legs and glutes) plus ellip for 30mins.

Nina, I just saw you say come to visit and read it out loud to my DH........then I said ......"so, BYE" :p he just busted out laughing. He knows I'd go in a second.
I hate this cold and he just read the forcast for snow for the next three days- all accumulating !!!!! :(

That means MORE SHOVELING !

I am not a happy camper.

Robin, I've never been to Hawaii but that sounds wonderful too ! and if I ever got there, I'd probably never come back either !!:D

Okay, I better get my shower and get to the store. Gotta buy chicken for my crockpot wings !

Hi Everyone!

Power is on but still no internet which is frustrating DH. We have our aircard which we are sharing right now. My ankle is slowly getting better but is still swollen. I may try a low impact workout tomorrow. The snow stopped late yesterday afternoon. We have most of it shoveled and now we are waiting for the plow so we can start the real fun shoveling. The highways are still snow covered so we probably won't see a plow until tonight or tomorrow. We are going to watch the superbowl tonight and we are making ellie krieger's confetti chili for dinner.

Becky, we are supposed to get more snow Tuesday which will hamper the snow removal from this storm. I agree I am so sick of snow. Great job on your workout.
Robin, I hope your kids go back to school Monday. They have already closed some schools Monday and Tuesday here. Can you pick up some wings for me?
Anne, I don't mind being snowed in but I dread shoveling out after the plow comes by.
Nina, glad the run helped to improve your mood.

Morning!

Fun night with the girls-came home at 1:30! Not feeling too bad though-even after 3 Patron tequila skinny margaritas:) I am sore though-not too bad, but it should make Back/Triceps fun later. Going to my aunt's house later for a visit and to pick up the girls. Darrin should be home in time for the Super Bowl:)

Angie, great game last night! I'm bummed we lost, but glad we made it a game without our star player. I need to start the C25k program soon-I'm getting the itch to run.

Becky, freezing here too, but no big snow til Tuesday. Enjoy your rest day:)

Robin, great day planned-I love the leg work from MIS. Let us know how your wings fly;)

Nina, you're so motivating-you sound so energized after your runs! Last night I went out with my neighbor whose dh is up north with mine working on my mil's cottage and a bunch of other girls. We had fun-went to a mediterranean restaurant-I had broiled lamb chops, Greek potatoes, and Ceasar salad in addition to some fried zucchini chips with tzatziki dip-yum! Brought home leftovers, thank goodness!

Colleen, what a weekend! Darrin said if it snowed like that here I wouldn't see him for 2 weeks! Can you post that chili recipe when you have time?

Ellip 30m, MIS Legs and Back are done. WOW Cathe was a little tough back then. No mercy/no breaks.

Klaudia skinny margaritas:D sounds interesting.

Colleen you should do no-impact until your ankle is 100%. iMO. Enjoy the confetti chili. What the confetti?

Becky sorry about the snow. Boo Winter.

Nina we all go through the blues...it's our stupid hormones.

Morning ladies! Drive by for me, I am being called outside for more shoveling:rolleyes: I can't wait til I have a newborn and I can just say, "honey, I need to stay in with the baby, sorry!" Hahahahaha!

It has been a weekend filled with baking and shoveling! No formal workout yet (oops:confused:) but I think all that shoveling should count for something right?

I baked a strawberry cheesecake this morning (we will celebrate SIL's birthday at the superbowl shin-dig tonight) and I just pulled a batch of chocolate chip cookies (the recipe from the "Baked" cookbook - anyone else have this one? Kate?) out of the oven and they are DELISH! This is definitely THE choc. chip cookie recipe!

I'll be back later (hopefully).

MMA Fusion done, spaghetti pie in the oven, gotta shower and eat and get the kids in bed.

Hope everyone enjoys their superbowl functions.

My knee is slightly sore from running today. I'll see how it is tomorrow. I'm only supposed to run 3 days a week anyway.

Becky, we will download the superbowl and watch it tomorrow (so I won't be visiting the boards or fb in the morning to avoid any spoilers!) but if we actually could find a way to stream it, it would be at 2 in the morning.

Robin, yay for all the energy and good sleep!

Nina, yay for 13 miles and feeling great!

Colleen, boo on more snow. Enjoy your chili!

Klaudia, sorry about the game but your dinner sounds fun and yummy!

Katie, send me that recipe! Love choc chip cookies. Don't have cookbook!

Where is Kate? Church?

BBL!

i just did bm2 double ub and then an exercise tv yoga wo! i really enjoyed it. eats are oh so very very clean and tidy, thanksfully.

katie, shoveling is major workout max for sure. can you drive to your superbowl party? i'd love the cc recipe too.

angie, what is spaghetti pie? i swore off spagetti last time aidan ate it, and got it EVERYWHERE, but it sounds interesting.

robin, how is your weather?

klaudia, i hope darrin is home to watch the game with you. were the girls excited to come home?

can anyone give me an idea what i can do with 4 pork chops that does not involve my grill? i always grill them, but we need new grill grates. thanks!

here you go! sooooo moist, and i dont even use the glaze at the end
i make the glaze for m but dont pour it over the top of the rest of them

Skillet-Glazed Pork Chops
Serves 4

Be careful not to overreduce the glaze in step 3. If the glaze thickens to the correct consistency before the chops reach 140 degrees, add a few tablespoons of water to the pan. We prefer fresh thyme here, but dried can be substituted.

4 boneless center-cut or loin chops , 3/4 to 1 inch thick
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1. PREP CHOPS Trim chops and slash through fat and silver skin, making 2 cuts about 2 inches apart on sides of each chop (see Glaze Guidance, at left). Pat chops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Combine maple syrup, mustard, vinegar, and thyme in bowl.

2. COOK CHOPS Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until just smoking. Add pork to skillet and cook until well browned, about 5 minutes. Turn chops and add glaze mixture. Turn heat down to medium-low and cook until internal temperature registers 140 degrees, 5 to 8 minutes. Remove chops to plate and tent with foil.

3. REDUCE GLAZE Return any accumulated juices to skillet and simmer glaze over medium heat until thick and syrupy. Pour reduced glaze over chops. Serve.

Hey, everybody, I just finished Disc 13 of STS. Wow, I think I'm going to love this mesocycle! I really liked doing the muscle groups together and the longer breaks. I didn't have to rewind at all b/c I had plenty of time to do set up between sets. I feel pumped!

Kate, that recipe looks delish.

Nina, great work outs this weekend!

Angie, you're on a roll, keep at it. You sound great today.

Katie, your baked goods sound heavenly. Have fun at your Super Bowl shindig.

Robin, I'm really enjoying the longer stretches of the STS cardio work outs, maybe Cathe is mellowing? Ha!

Klaudia, your dinner from last night sounds wonderful; right up my alley. I'm glad you had on your girl's night out.

Colleen, I hope your ankle is feeling better. I hate when stuff like that happens.

Becky, sorry about all the snow. :(

Hi to everyone I missed. I have to jump in the shower and run out for a few last minute items for the big game. Have a great night, everybody.
