C.H.E.E.T.A.H.S....Thursday...run happy!

RunninTeach

Cathlete
Good morning, everyone! :)

First, Karen, what a relief to hear such great news for your mom!! Continued good vibes comin' your way...Thanks, I definitely will get the runs in.

Wendi :: I tend to crash early a lot! :) Made it to a little after 8-ish, so I'm back on track. Nice job running in the moonlight. How was dinner?

Wendy :: GREAT job with the 15 yesterday, despite the Garmin snafu. You can put new batteries in yours?...What happened with BB, if I may ask? I never did get to order something through you...Well, I think as I was dozing off, I had it in mind to wake up early and get on the 'mill, but you know how that goes...so I'm glad to have gotten it out of the way before work. Determined to stay faithful to the running. Have only been managing to hit weights once a week since school started, so I have to squeeze that in somewhere this week, too. Thanks for the info on the hip clip. I will check it out after next payday.

Shelly :: great to have ya back!...OFFICIAL congrats on the new position. :)...Sounds like a dream home gym you've put together there.

Carole :: Some days are busier than others right now, but I do look forward to the runs. Before work is definitely better, but until now I haven't embraced the options of either running in darkness or the DM. BUT I stopped by REI after work yesterday, took the plunge on the head lamp and a reflective vest, and I'm goin' for it this morning. :) I'm glad the itching is under control. That's the worst! How's mom doing?

Jackie :: Nice job with PH. Smiled at DBF's 20# DB. Has he seen what you lift?

Dallas :: How are your blisters today? During the summer, I found some new socks I just love--Balaga. Extra comfy & cushy. I want to buy some more...Yeahhhh, I have some foot issues. Got a bunion that has gotten more pronounced and arthritis in the big toe. Now recently the marathon training brought out that numbness/pinched feeling in the ball of the foot. So, it's somewhat aggravating, but for now, I'll just deal with it and see what happens. :)...Oh no on DH's IBS+. My DSis still has issues with that when she gets really stressed, but it was at its worst during the divorce. I hope you both get some relief soon. When is MIL's next surgery? Thanks re: the blog. :) :) :)

Linda :: I don't have a completely flat area to train, either, but I figure that will help us during the mary. Your base was up there, too. Wow, you are handling the weights like a beast even w/ the upped miles--WTG!

Hi to Lorie! Saw the update. Sorry you've been going through such a rough patch. Sending lotsa (((HUGS)))!

Shout-out to Ms. Posh out in Maui! Sure you're having a wonderful time!

OK, I think I'm caught up. Time to don my attractive new head lamp and vest and hit the streets and not be a wuss when I pass by the wooded areas. :p :)

Have a fantastic day!

Good morning ladies!

Cathy - How long was your run this morning? Great job getting out there and gettin' 'er done! Dinner was fine...nothing special (Boston Market). I was good and only had half the chicken (no skin, of course;)), ate all the veggies and split the cornbread (fave part!!!) with DSO. Truth be told I would rather have cooked...had tilapia piccata, roasted cauliflower and grilled asparagus on the menu for last night but DSO was having a hankering for BM so no biggie.

Lorie - Sooooooo glad to hear from you and just want to send you {{{{{{{{MEGA HUGS}}}}}}}}}}. Hang in there sweetie!

Sorry I couldn't get back here last night...got too late and I ended up asleep on the couch before I knew what hit me. Finally woke up around midnight and poured myself into bed. SHould have time for (real)personals tonight.

I'm feelin' BM2 Cardio & Weights premix this morning. Need some good UB work (bowling tonight ;)), something a bit easier on the legs (lotsa riding today and tomorrow) abs and need to keep my HR up a bit for some good ol' calorie burn...should be just the ticket.

Oh, BTW, that horse that we've been campaigning so hard has qualified for 2 of the 3 (waiting to hear about the third one but not holding our breath) big indoor shows coming up in the next month so we're thrilled about that. It pretty much means that he's top 40 in the country:D. Unfortunately that means some not-so-nice horse show weeks for me starting at the end of Sept going through mid-ish Oct. Gonna be a challenge to keep up the running but I'll have to figure it out I guess.

Time to shut my trap and get moving on BM2. Have a great day everyone!

Back! Time is tight, but I just had to run in, grab the cam, and snap a pic of what a NUT I looked like out there! *lol* A decent run (just a tad over 3 mi) with an exciting twist at the end when I chased a mouse up the hill. I think it had no idea where to go while under the spotlight! :)
003-1.jpg

The head lamp didn't come with a strap (I didn't realize), so to keep it up, I had to rig it with a sweatband.

Wendi :: I get a hankering for Boston Market once in awhile, too, but I confess, I love the skin, which I don't normally eat otherwise. Cornbread, too. Big congrats on qualifying!! It must make all that hard work feel good to know you're among the best in the nation--wow!!

OK, I seriously gotta jet now...enjoy your day!

Good Morning Peeps. :)

Sorry I never got back here yesterday with that cup of coffee and a smile. :p ... I got busy doing laundry and then we ended up going out for dinner.

I was going to cook but when I asked DH what he might feel like eating he said that the one thing he really wants we don't have in the house...STEAK! Well girls, I took that and ran with it and IMMEDIATELY said "Well then let's go out!" ;) LOL The BEST part is that I held no guilt whatsoever over my meal after my run y'day. It was GREAT! I had a special at Outback called Pecan Crusted Trout. YUMMY. :D

So the reason I am leaving BB Coaching is this...I am not turning a profit. There is a fee involved in coaching that is charged to every coach monthly. There is also a minimum montly sales requirement needed. If you can't meet that sales requirement with customer sales then you need to purchase something yourself to meet it. I have spent soooo much money purchasing product to continue coaching....for what? If I were having to do it here and there that would be one thing but I think in all of the 21 months I was coaching I got away with NOT having to purchase something ONE time! So you see...it was money out the window. I might as well have been burning it. LOL I was holding on in hopes of getting a couple of coaches under me. That's when things start to pick up and the money will start to come in. Well, 21 months later and I STILL have no coaches under me. What's a girl to do? I thought about it and well, QUIT seemd to be the only viable solution. There IS money to be made in this business but you have to get those first 2 coaches to sign up under you or it won't happen. I'm not knocking the business at all cause there are so many that are very successful at it. I just don't think I'm cut out for it. Oh well. Live and learn, right? :)

Okay, now that all of that stuff is outta the way! Today's work out plan is some upper body ala' CTX plus abs. Gotta give the legs a break today I think. ;) They are sore but actually not bad considering...:)

Cathy: I love the new head gear, girl! You need to go out to a bar with that baby on and see what happens. I'll bet you ANYTHING you get more guys talking to you then any other girl in the bar!:D;):p Too funny about the mouse! You're a nut...in a GOOD way! :D With the mary only a month out, getting weights in once a week is probably more then some get in. Good job. So will you take a hiatus from running for a while post marathon or just go back to your "normal" running schedule? Have you had the chance to try the lace locks yet? I want to order but I'd like to hear your thoughts before I do if possible! :)

Wendi: I was just talking to DH about Boston Market. I haven't eaten there in years but OMG is it good!!!! I remember absolutely LOVING their creamed spinach. It was like a dessert, not a side dish! I'm making myself hungry now...LOL Congrats on the horse qualifying for 2 out of 3! I'll keep my fingers crossed that the 3rd happens as well. :) I'm still considering Philly. What I need to do is put my full mary training schedule on a calender and see where Philly falls into it before making a decision.

Okay, gotta get DS outta bed but once he's situated I hope to be able to get back here for a few to catch up on personals from last night!

Toodles!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...the itching does tend to get worse later in the day. Hopefully it will be gone soon. Love the pic of you and the headlamp! LOL about the little mouse. Mine has a camo headband attached...:D..Mom is doing well. I had such a long work day yesterday I dod not get to see her, but I will today.

Wendi..have fun with your BM2 premix. Congrats to the top 40 in the country horse!

Wendy..way to go on the 15 miles yesterday!! Sorry about your garmin crapping out. Seems you always have to charge them. Sorry about the BB coaching issues.

Karen...GREAT news about your MOM!!! I imagine that relieved a little stress. How is the calf feeling today? I have not gotten poison oak in some time, but I think the cut on my arm and the massage gave me a bad case. I sure should have gotten a shot!

Dallas...way cool you are getting your closets done! I sure need to do that. Maybe the blister issues was the orthodics. As blisters usually don't come with worn shoes. I have gotten mine wet various time without blistering, but who knows. WOW, you are right, that is a lot of views to this thread yesterday.

Jackie...Good for DBF loosing 10 lbs. Funny about him only having a 20 lb dumbbell for his heaviest weight? You are so right, the fact that he does something is what counts. Good job with the high rep Power Hour yesterday.

Shelly...good job adding in the hill repeats with your run yesterday. I had a fast run myself...:)..I am thinking I should have gone in for a cortisone shot when this poison oak got so bad. I think you misread the weekly 40 miles!! I am not doing that now!! I told Cathy that 40 weekly miles was my starting base for most of my marathons...:)..I am enjoying 4DS, I bet it would work great in your Gym.

Linda...Like I told Shelly, I probably should have gotten a shot for this poison oak! No, I am not a huge Ice cream fan (yeah, I am weird about food!) so I did not try the bars but DH loved them. I did check out mostly there Live Smart Food. Some of the pizza's looked good. Don't feel bad we all like some food that is not real good for us! Good job with the 4 miles and 4DS workout. I think the core work is a bit tougher than some of Cathe's other stuff.

Today is B&G standing, 40 min on the EXT and maybe some endurance work for my bi's, tri's, and shoulders.

Have a good day...:)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

Cathy – Loved your title yesterday. I love Dr. Suess. I hope you got some good sleep. Sorry your feet hurt so bad – was it the new shoes? Good job with getting the 30 minutes on the treadmill in yesterday! You look smashing in your headlamp! Too funny for posting the photo! Jimmy would be happy to run with you! I’m lol’ing at you chasing a mouse up the hill! :D

Gloria – hope you’re feeling better today!

Wendi – I haven’t been watching the Biggest Loser. It’s dark in the early AM, now, isn’t it? We’re not getting sun rise until around 6:45 now. Of course, like you, I’m used to being up and working out before the sun is up! :p Dinner last night sounds good – but the one you had planned sounds even better! :p Great news on the horse!!! Sorry it means more work for you, but wow! Top 40 in the country? Amazing!

Wendy – WAY TO GO on the 15 miles!!! Sorry about the Garmin, though! When I was doing my longer runs, I would loop the same 4 or 5 mile path (there are ways to adjust that path) – it’s just nice to be able to run by the house just in case!! Enjoy your iPod clip and your fuel belt! Sorry to hear you won’t be a coach any longer, but you need to do what is best for you. I think you made a smart decision. I didn’t realize you had to do so much work.

Shelly – Glad to hear you’re settled in and that Philly is history!! Do not worry about being MIA – we totally understand!! Yes, that part of PA has rolling hills and some of those hills are KILLER! Glad you were able to get your Upper Body really worked out with Rumble and the heavy bag! I miss my Krav days where I could beat one of those up. When do you start your new job?

Carole – Oh, I HATE poison oak!! You can get meds from your doctor that will clear it up quickly. I also find that Benadryl helps, as it is an allergic reaction (but it also makes me very dopey, so I try to take it only at night). I get patches on my legs or my arms from using the “facilities” while hiking.

Jackie – I’m with you on the fast food – I eat that and my tummy is miserable. Ick. I pack my lunch as well, although I have to admit that where I am, there are plenty of options for healthier meals. When we all go out to eat I can always find something.

Linda – My bike is in the shop getting tuned, so I have been doing step. I feel naked without him (my bike – they are all male or female. Mine is definitely male – haven’t named him yet, though). Good job on the runs!

Karen – YES!!! I’m am SOOO happy to hear your mom does not have pancreatic cancer – that’s a nasty one!! :D:D:D:D *Does happy dance around the room with Karen* I think the final stretches are when most people get injured. You’re tired and pushing yourself more than normal… It sucks, but it’s what it is. DD is better today, thankfully. She did 2 hours of Tae Kwon Do last night, so she’s good.

Dallas – hope you had fun putting your pantry back together! That WILL be nice to have extra storage!! The weighted gloves make a huge difference with Rumble! I enjoy this one.

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I just had a very busy day! Run down on my workouts:

T – Sweating Buckets and Standing Abs (Steve Cotter)
W – Gauntlet – what fun!
R (today) – Yogilates

I am tired lately. I think it’s a combo of the long rides and fall. I always get sleepier in the fall. This morning I turned off my alarm clock, brushed my teeth, etc, then decided to go back for 10 more minutes. I was OUT in that time. DH is in Budapest, so it’s just DD15 and me, which is nice sometimes. Have a great day all!

getting back on track

Morning cheetahbabes! Well, the house is still a jumbled mess but at least I feel I have somewhat of a handle on things again:) I was the one who broke in our new gym yesterday (no surprise!) I did 4DS HIS/C&B and substituted some of the exercises with the gym, using the low and hi pulleys, butterfly press, chest press, etc. Made it much more interesting! My new boss called me yest. afternoon with my work schedule so all is set. I'll be doing nights again (my preference) 7p-7a.

Carole- Even tho you arent doing the 40 miles/wk you are still beyond a doubt our SUPER Carole!!!! Right now I'm at about 35 miles / wk-- maybe a tad under that but I hope to push it up to beyond 35 soon. Getting your speed back???? Sounds like you are getting back on track yourself there! How's the poison oak problem today?

Cathy- Had the time to catch up on your very entertaining blog today!
LOVE that pic of you in the dark with the headlamp!! It's so YOU darling! (LOL) :p Hey, you are spot on with it all being MENTAL!! Hope your work day goes well for ya!

Wendi- I was afraid to ask you yest. about Philly... I am so thrilled that you still have it on your agenda!! Congrats about your horse being in the top 40. That sounds mighty impressive!

Dallas- Getting your closets professionally redone? ooooh I'm jealous!
This house is wonderful but the closet space is unfortunately limited:(
I'm having to be real creative with the storage. With all that I threw out before leaving Az we still have too much STUFF!! Another Rumble fan I see! I can't wait to do that heavy bag workout again... it is awesome!
I have the hanging type which is suspended from a steel girder in our basement. DH also secured it to the floor loosely so it doesn't swing too much. You are right.... fabulous stress reliever.

Karen- Fantastic news about your Mom!!!!! Big stress relieving ^^^^^
5^^^^^s!!! We're all doing the happy cheetah dance for you and your Mom! Obviously she still has health issues to deal with but it sounds like she is getting the therapy she needs, plus the absolutely rock solid support of her wonderful daughter which makes all the difference in the world!

Wendy- Congrats on a fabulous 15 mile run!!!! WTG :eek::eek: I wish I could figure out what is the formula that makes some runs great and others from hell! I guess I'd make a fortune if I really knew! I do know it is 90% mental so it's just got to all click together so to speak. I guess your fuel belt worked too? BTW, I specifically requested the date of the 18 miler off and they gave me a nice stretch off there!! Sounds like you made a very reasonable decision re: quitting BeachBody. You made a good go of it anyway.

Linda- Yes, I do have an abundance of hills around here and like you, I'm challenged to find a good flat area for training! I had a similar problem in Az and had to drive 30+ minutes to get to a good area there. Hopefully, I'll find an area closer this time. BTW, love your avatar pic!!

Hi Jackie!

Christine- what's up?

I think I'm caught up for now... more painting today of course. I'll be first doing a 6-7 mile interval run. Later will be 4DS BC /Bi,Tri.

Good morning Cheetahs!

Dallas - Didn't realize your MIL cancer had changed to GI. Will keep her in prayer that she gets a clean bill of health after the next surgery. EGADS on the pantry shelving! Glad it's better. I have the Rubbermaid shelving and it looks pretty secure. PH socked it to me! The ol' bum is sore today and my walk slowed down a bit. :p

Cathy - DBF sees all of my weights and barbells. He wants to lose more weight but just doesn't want to put the extra effort into it. He thinks I'm a little obsessed with my workouts. I have to tell him I have to be like that because if I ever stopped, it would probably be hard to get back into it. You know you skip one day, then it's two, etc., etc. I need to stay as active as I can while I can. I know you Cheetah ladies understand where I'm coming from. Good job on the run!! Laughing at you chasing the mouse. :D

Wendi - Dinner sounds like it was pretty good. Like Boston Market whenever I'm in an area that has one. Have fun bowling tonight. Congratulations to the horse for qualifying for the shows!

Wendy - Way to get out of cooking a meal! Glad you enjoyed your steak dinner. Don't blame you one bit for giving up BB coaching. Times are too hard these days to give money away. Sometimes you can find the products cheaper elsewhere. Sorry it didn't work out for you. Enjoy your workout!

Carole - Hope that itching is better soon. Long workout planned for you today. Enjoy it.

Christine - I wish we had more restaurants here to be able to select healthier options. We either have Chinese, Mexican, fast food or mom and pop. Everyone likes to use too much oil, sodium and who knows what else. There's one that I rarely go to because it's just a heart attack waiting to happen. Maybe you need an extra rest day. Heavy weight days seem to make me sleep better. Enjoy the time with just you and DD.

Shelly - Glad you're making progress around the house. How are the babies handling the move? So how heavy is your bag? I'm trying to determine what I need when I get one. Enjoy your run, bis & tris and painting.

Lorie - Hope you're feeling better soon.

Today's workout was iTread #17 40 minutes and a 20 minute yoga.

Gotta get to work now. Enjoy your day!

Lunch Break Again. Sitting in front of a nice bowl of soup. Today was an easy 3 mile run. My calf still hurts. Really ticks me off. I don't know what to do. My long run is tomorrow. I have to do it. I won't be able to this weekend. I'll just run slow and baby it. Maybe a good long soak will help it. Never has this happened before. Oh well.

Cathy- Love the photo. It's nice to put faces with people you speak to all the time.

Wendi- How wonderful that your horse is 40th in the country. That is very impressive. I love you picture trail of the horses. You work hard girl.

Wendy- i think you did the right thing with the coaching. YOu have so much more in your life than that. If your not making money at it then it's not worth it. I always wondered how that worked. I feel like it is hard to turn a profit on that. It sucks that you have to buy stuff when you don't really want to all the time. I think it's a good call.

Carole- Don't know what to do with the calf issue. I know I did it on the tempo run pushing the speed a little to much. Live and learn. I have 3 weeks left and really long runs and speedwork coming. Makes me think of the last time this happened but it was my knee. It' s always one thing isn't it.

Christine- Glad you dd is doing better. Sounds like you need some TLC too. Yogalaties sounds like a good bet today. Take it easy.

Shelly- Thanks so much about my mom. That really was a load off my mind. Now today her doc calls and says her blood was thin. Last time perfect, one month later and now it's thin. They want to retest her next week. I think it's all the pain meds from the kidney stone that is effecting her this way.

Jackie- Great workout today. Hope you have a nice day at work.

Lunch over. Soup gone:(

Hey everyone! It has been a crazy morning, so far, at work, today! I hope this afternoon is better!

Dallas – I am not sure if it is a “new” release or not. I had never heard of it and my youngest DD suggested it for the GK’s. But….it was at the theater, so I am assuming it is “pretty new”??? I hope your MIL is okay and will be okay! Hope the closets, and shelving turn out good!

Cathy – What a cute picture! I would love to run in the dark! I have all the gear….but my DH will not “allow” it! :) I even got me some pepper spray last week! ;) Thanks, regarding the weight work. But, I am just “winging” it. I don’t know if I should be doing it. This week, I followed your lead and only did floorwork for lower body (not pilates, though). Good job on your run! You aren’t a “wuss” when you pass the wooded areas! Not at all! I would definitely be the same way, unless I had someone with me. Good job on your run! Loved the visual of the little mouse! :) I hope the hills help me in the mary! I am afraid that where I have gotten used to the hills and then having the wonderful break of the downhills, that I will be spoiled and that it will be hard on me not having the relief of a downhill to get the emphasis off of certain muscles. Good grief….am I making any sense at all?

Carole – I am not an ice cream lover, either. I like cheesecake, carrot cake and dark chocolate. But, I do like Maggie Moo’s Cheesecake Break ice cream! Enjoy the EXT, B&Gs and weights!

Wendi – Congratulations on the horse getting 2 out of 3!!! Hoping it ends up 3 out of 3! Enjoy BM2!

Wendy – I was thinking that was probably why you quit. I was reading a thread on the YaYa’s and they were talking about that. It seems like it would be very tough to make any money! I definitely would not want to be losing money! It is bad enough “not making any”….but losing money! No way!

Shelly – Thanks regarding the avatar ! I usually have to drive to find a good place to run, too. Sometimes it is right outside my door….but usually, we go somewhere else. There is usually too much traffic in my area. Have a good day painting! Enjoy your run and 4DS!

Jackie – I am looking forward to Chalean, too! I can’t wait for STS! I am getting really excited about both of these! Good job on your iTread and yoga!!

Christine – I would say the long tough rides play a role in your fatigue. It is always harder for me to get up in the fall/winter when it gets cooler!! I always like to crawl back under the covers! Is it cooler there, or is your weather mostly always warm/hot? LOL….I’ll bet you miss “him!” Are you enjoying the stepping, though? Good job on your workouts! Enjoy your time with DD15! It is always nice to have some one-on-one time with your kids! :)

Lorie - I hope all is well with you soon!

This morning was a 6 mile run and the floorwork and absof B&Gs

Karen- Good job on the run! Sorry about your calf! LOL....sorry the soup is all gone! :)

Hi Girls.

Interesting how things work out....I faxed my withdrawal to BB this morning and as soon as I walked into the foodstore after work, my phone rang and I got an offer to work Saturday night with my BMF at a catering hall from 4pm-1am helping him bartend for $10 an hour cash plus tips. Me likey!:D

Carole: The new fuel belt worked out well. It was hard to find a good place for my new Ipod clip but I can even attatch it to my shirt if need be so I'm not worried. :) Sorry about your itchy arm. I've never had poison oak, ivy or any of that. Can't even imagine....I recently scratched a couple of mosquito bites so much and so hard that they both bled and I left a bruise on one!

Jackie: I have a belt that holds one big bottle and for shorter runs it's fine so I will not toss it however with longer runs I simply needed more storage space, etc. I also love the fact that you can put something different in each bottle if you want. It worked out well for me. :)

Shelly: I'm so happy the 15 miler went well. I was bummed when the 13 was such a drag. I plan to do one more 15-16 miler next weekend before cutting back. Any suggestions on how to play the last two weeks before the race mileage wise? How long should my longest run be? I was thinking of running a 10 miler or 2. What do you think?

Linda: Yes, my One one One disc did what yours did but atleast 4 times! there is no way I was going to want to be ff'ing through that crap every time I wanted to use the dvd. I emailed them and they are sending me a replacement. I don't even need to return the faulty one. :)

Karen: YAY YAY YAY! I am soooooo relieved for your mom's cancer is not in the pancreas. That is AWESOME news! :) My new fuel belt worked well. I'm a happy camper.

Dallas: I never used to be a napper. Even when DS was a newborn and I SHOULD have been napping, I really didn't. I didn't know how to. LOL It wasn't until he got older and I started working in the gym daycare that I started napping. It was nice to be able to take him to my job but it was such a big stressor that I would be exhausted when I got out so would nap almost daily or I'd be worth NOTHING the rest of the day. Now that he's in school work is so much less exhausting/stressful so my naps are fewer and farther in between. Hate to say that about my kid but well, you know what it's like. SAHM's do NOT have it easy!

Okay, I'm caught up with personals from yesterday finally. When I get home later I'll play catch up with what's going on today!

Off to pick up DS from school now!

Later taters!:)

Hi Cheetahs!

I did CCv4 getting in approx 4.3 miles and 4D-CS&T premix. I had used CCPP on my 8 miles Sat. and thought I need to use them more. Forgot about all those hills. Hope it doesn't hinder my long run tomorrow. I found out that we have early games both Sat. and Sun. There's no way I'd get a run in this weekend, at least not a long one. Anyway, still want to get some abs in today and a better stretch or foam roll. I was playing around on Facebook and there's a "I Love Cardio Coach" group. Lorie's on it. Coach Sean is one of my friends. ha ha :);)

Wendy ~ IA about the SAHM....I think getting a job would be much easier. Seriously! However, every time I think about it, I realize that I'd still have this house stuff waiting for me. My sil just left and she's having a heck of a time adjusting with the new baby and her dd2. I remember those days. The lack of sleep is what gets you. So, are you going to take him up on the job offer? Sorry about the BB...at least you tried, right?

Linda ~ Nice workout! I feel out of the movie loop. although, I do want to see Brad Pitt and George Clooney's new one. Have know idea what it's about. :p;) Thanks about my mil.

Karen ~ Could you soak in some epsom salt? I've heard that helps. I've wanted to try it when I'm really sore to see if it works. Do you have any topical cream for sore muscles. I picked some up at the running store. I use it more on my neck than my lower body. ha ha. It works.

Jackie ~ I'm sorry I thought I told you girls about my mil's change in DX. Yeah, I think the stairs got me. Was sore getting out of bed this morn. Nice workout!

Shelly ~ Well, it was a redo on the pantry. i was worried the shelving was going to come crashing down. Glad you got your shift preference. Don't know how you stay up all night though. I guess we adapt.

Christine ~ You're logging some great workouts and miles. It's no wonder you're tired. IA though I want to hibernate when it starts getting cold outside. ;) enjoy your bonding time w/DD. How is your other dd doing w/the job? Is she working at your office still?

Carole ~ I'm guessing it was the orthotics because I've run in the pouring rain and did not have that problem. I did your workout on Monday w/o the upper body though. Feel the burn!!! :p Enjoy your visit with your mom. I'd like to visit my mil, but the kids have been sneezing, etc. i sure don't want to give her anything.

Cathy ~ Love that headlamp. :) Never thought about using anything like that, but of course, I haven't had the reason to use it. WTG getting it done early. Too funny about the mouse. :D I feel something in the ball of my foot too. That's why I asked what was ailing you. I'm starting to think the 3/4 length orthotic caused it. I have new full length ones, but need to break them in still. We'll know after chemo #4 which is scheduled for Monday about mil's surgery. You're a heck of a writer. I enjoyed reading your poetry too. :) Have you tried the Berry Nuun? I like that one even better than the orange ginger. :) Also, when I'm on a long run I spell a street name that I passed. Each step (right foot) is one letter. When I pass another sign or landmark, I switch to the left foot spelling the next sign, etc. Silly, I know, but it helps the time go by ~ sometimes. LOL

Wendi ~ That's great about the horse! :) Hope you can manage your workouts too with all the shows.

Hi to Judy, Lorie, Sunny, Posh, Gloria, and anyone else checking in after I post!

Have a great day!

Evening ladies.

I'll try to get back here in a bit to catch up but I have some stuff to get done before bowling tonight so it could be tight.

Well, we finally got "the call" today. MK passed away peacefully around 10 this morning. As awful as it is I'm so relieved for both her and her husband that she is finally at peace and no longer in pain. She will be missed. I wanted to thank all of you for all your hugs, prayers and support through this...they were much appreciated!

Let me get going and I'll try to check back in in a bit.

Hello!

Cathy: Love your pic! You look radiant! :) It is nice to get the workouts done in the morning. I am now behind on some paperwork since I spent all night preparing for Advanced Studies. Well, untill 8 really. We had our first class today and I did not get through my entire lesson plan. It is only an hour long class. I gave them some homework for next week. They are a good group. We will be preparing and taping commercials for candidates to show to the whole school so that they can make educated votes for our mock election. It is pretty neat. It's a lot more work than I thought it would be though. I am happy that all I have to do tonight is plan for my own class.

Wendi: 40th in the nation. That is something impressive. Congratulations!

Wendy: I do not blame you for bagging BB. Sounds like a little too much. Congrats on the 15 miler! I always loved to bartend. Sounds like you will be making some good cash!

Carole: I thought of you yesterday. I was at a discount store in town to buy some pencil sharpeners and I saw they had the Ranch Style Beans. You can't get them here. It was the same brand you posted a pic of for Dallas. You better believe I snatched up those babies. Now I have to find that recipe you told us all about! It was a moment of simple pleasure for me! I have had some bad cases of poison ivy, but never poison oak. I heard that is worse. Hope it heals soon. :)

Christine: I am feeling better, but coughing a lot. When I talk I am nasaly. I have been tired too, that is why I haven't been posting much. Busy too. I will be revisiting the Gauntlet this winter. That is such a cool workout. Hope you have a nice TGIF!

Shelly: Sounds like you are settling in. I see you are already breaking in the home gym. Fantastic! I bet is pretty in Pennsylvania. Not that you care, but DH says there is good trout fishing there. Have you seen the Liberty Bell? Enjoy your time off. Like Jackie, I was wondering how your pets are doing.

Jackie: DH does not question my working out anymore. After I had my stress fracture he saw what a crazy you know what I can be when I don't work out! There is no where to eat around me either. I don't think I have the itread 17. Hope it was a good one. Yes, I have some kids out sick already.

Karen: SO happy to hear your mom does not have cancer! I am with the other Cheetahs and doing the happy dance. :) I wonder why your calf is hurting? That stinks. Hope it works itself out. I know for me, downward dog is great for stretching them out.

Linda: My DH worries about me running outside alone, that is why I bought the pepper spray. The only issues I have had were with dogs chasing me. Nice workout today!

Dallas: Nice 4.3! How are the kids liking school? I hope I didn't ask you that already.

I ran 4 miles yesterday and paid the price. It was not a hard run for me, but all day I was coughing. It is just a bad idea to run with upper respiratory issues. Today I rested and felt much better at school. I will rest until I feel right again. No big deal. I had my first session of Advanced Studies and it went well.

Take care everyone!

Gloria - Oh dear! No, it is definitely not a good idea to run with upper respiratory problems! I am glad you felt better today! So far, for me, it is also only the dogs. I hope nothing else happens!

Wendi - I am so sorry about MK! ((Hugs)). That is so sad. I do understand what you mean about not wanting her to suffer anymore.

Dallas - My friend went to see the Brad Pitt movie and did not like it at all. So, if you see it, I am anxious to see what you think of it! Be sure and let me know what you think of it.

Hey Judy, Posh and everyone else!

I am taking my day off tomorrow and we are planning our long run on Saturday morning.

Good night everyone!

Good evening Cheetahs!

Cathy - Had to come home and view your headlight pic. You're looking good so early in the morning.

Karen - Hope the calf feels better in time for your long run.

Linda - Did your day get better? I need some more good total body weight workouts. Good job on the run and floorwork! Enjoy your rest day tomorrow.

Wendy - Are you taking the job? I use to bartend a long, long, long time ago.:D Got lots of good tips. Yeah being able to carry different beverages would be nice. On longer runs, I just like having to deal with smaller bottles much better. Glad you're happy with it. Don't think SAHM get paid enough either. :D

Dallas - Good run today! Hope your long run goes well tomorrow. You probably did mention something about your MIL. I had a couple of busy weeks at one time and couldn't keep up with the threads.

Wendi - I'm so sorry to hear about MK. ((((HUGS)))) Glad to know she's at peace now.

Gloria - Good job on the run yesterday! Sounds like another couple of days rest wouldn't hurt you a bit. Glad you were feeling better at least.

Bought groceries today. Now I'm a little tired. Going to relax a minute. Talk to you tomorrow.
