Bump ?

What does it mean when a post receives a reply as "bump" ?

I see it every so often, so I looked in FAQ and didnt see it there.

Hmmm, lets' see if I can explain this...when you reply to a certain thread/post, it will "bump" it back to the top of that forum. Some people just "bump" them instead of saying anything more. (Some threads get lost below the newer posts.) Does this make sense?
