Bulky phase?

Hi, I have been doing Cathe for a month now. I am an advanced exerciser and was doing the FIRM. This past month the Cathe addiction started and I mostly did her workouts. I have seen great results in my arms. I have more definition and can see the veins in my biceps. I'm physched about that. However, I think my butt got bigger. My legs have new cuts in them which is also great, but my butt looks different. I am not happy about this at all. I do go very heavy on legs, and the FIRM videos don't even compare to Cathe when it comes to the number of sets. Have I bulked up because I'm doing more sets? I remember reading somewhere that people sometimes go through a bulky phase before they see results. I already lost 45 lb with the FIRM. I wear a size 4 and sometimes a 2. I don't want my butt to get bigger. I also remember hearing an old wives tale about how step aerobics makes your butt bigger. A friend said that to me once and I instantly told her she was crazy for believing that. I'm trying to think about what I've done differently this month. I have added a lot of step and have done PLB and ME and MIS regularly. I also have the whole Intensity series, MIC, KPC, Cardio Kicks, IMAX 2 and LoMAX. I have done all of them. Can someone help me? Like I said, I love what has happened to my arms, but this butt thing is making me nuts. Thanks so much! :)
 
Maybe you should just use lighter weights for lower body work. Also, step aerobics do not increase the size. It does the opposite in fact.That may also help with your problem area. But, don't worry too much about your butt. A little junk in the trunk didn't hurt Beyonce' or of course, Jennifer Lopez.
