Buff Badgers Week of Sept 29th

I have to make this quick. Friday I did Tri Sets Legs and added my own ab work. Saturday I couldn't workout as I was in Antioch IL all day helping with inventory at IL facility. Sunday was my rest day so I still took it even though I didn't workout on Sat. Sat was a 15 hr day and I was tired. Plus Sunday I was trying to fit two days into one and get everything done on Sunday that I normally would have done between Sat & Sun. Needless to say, that didn't happen. This morning I did STS meso 2 Disc 13 chest, shoulders, and tri's.

Work last was very stressful and today is not much better.

I understand the busy weekend life. It seems like i haven't been working out much on the weekends lately either. Saturday I needed to do some major grocery shopping including Sam's Club visit for bulk items. I took DS to baseball practice and did some much needed cleaning around the house. I was totally exhausted. Sunday I decided to stay home from church and continue cleaning as my house really is a mess. I am still not done after all that....but that gives you an idea of how far behind I am. Monday was 3 levels of Tabatacise followed by elliptical cardio and stretch. Today was Slide and Glide which is one I haven't done in a long time.
 
This morning I practiced my kickboxing class. I can't believe the retreat is next week. I need to practice my presentation. I'm feeling STS from yesterday. Love those DOMS. My client rescheduled to tonight so hopefully that will actually happen this time. He canceled last week about an hr before we were to meet.

Hearty - I don't do slide & glide too often but I do like it though. I need to get our elliptical cleaned up too. Poor thing is covered in drywall dust. DH is hoping to have all the flooring in by the end of the Oct. I'll be happy with that. I'm tired of him dragging drywall dust upstairs on the carpet. I refused to get steam clean the carpeting until the flooring was all done downstairs and I knew he wouldn't be bringing the drywall dust upstairs.
 
Hi Ladies! Saturday I mowed lawn then did my PiYo Sweat. Sunday was a workout called Strength Intervals. Monday was Drench. Tomorrow (in case I don't get a chance to log on) I hope to fun 2.5 miles followed immediately by my Buns workout. We'll see how early I wake up!

Brenda, I hope your client didn't cancel again! Wow, you give your Kick-box class next week? I bet you'll do great!

Hearty, I hear ya about the house work. I am excited that ny DH and my daughter are gone this coming weekend so I can really get some housework done around here. My son will still be around, but I have work for him to do for me! ;)

This morning I did Meso 2 legs and added some of my own ab work and some extra stretching.

Susan - With things going so crappy at work the past 3 months, I had a very disappointing day yesterday. First I found out that the retreat got canceled so I won't get to teach my classes that I put together. Then I got a text message from my client and said he was stuck in traffic in Milwaukee due to an accident, which I knew was true because I had heard about it on the radio. Then later I got a text message from him that he was just going to cancel as he was still stuck in traffic. I was really bummed last night with the retreat getting canceled due to not enough people signing up and then my client cancels on me again. I'm trying to stay positive but its been really hard lately.

Hi Ladies,

I have not been on the web site all that often, can't believe that you all are still checking in. That is so great! I had stopped working out with Cathe for a while, and then got back doing her workouts when XTrain came out. I am just finishing up a STS rotation that was on the rotation forum. Will be starting up an STS Undulating round next week. I'm going to try checking in again, but when the job gets busy it is hard to remember. ;)

Welcome Back Laurie!! Susan just came back too so this is great!!!

I tell you it seems like since turning 46 something is always hurting. My back hurt this morning so I didn't work out. Not sure where that came from.

Brenda--what a bummer with the retreat cancellation and all the amount of work that you put into it. Stay positive and another similar opportunity could come up and you will be already mostly prepared.

Last night I did XTrain Supercuts Premix with Core #2. I really do like the metabolic workouts that Cathe has created recently. Have any of you pre-ordered the new RIPPED workouts? I did, and am really looking forward to them. This combo of lifting heavy and HiiT has been something that I have been wanting to try for a while.

heartymax, Thanks for the welcome back. Sorry to hear that your back is acting up, take it easy.

Brenda, I had heard about that accident, it had cleared up by the time we needed to head in that direction. Bummer on the retreat also, that doesn't sound like a great day. Hopefully today is a much better one for you.

Sue, So good to be with you again. I can't believe that we decided got back on the forum. How do you like the new set up here at Cathe.com. I think that may be why I came back. :D I'm going to incorporate the PiYo workouts into my rotation with this next round of STS. What do you think of the workouts?

Hello! Well I did manage my run then buns yesterday. Today was Sculpt. I was out of sorts but I pushed thru and was glad I did.
Brenda, That stinks about your cancellation! Especially when you have been practicing so much. :(

Oh I know how you feel Hearty! I don't think there is a day when I'm ever pain free .

Good Morning and Happy Friday!

Was not a good day yesterday so I didn't get on to post. Yesterday I did Hardstrikes cardio, 3 heavy bag tabatas, and then added my own ab work. Yesterday was my bosses last day. Things were going very bad at work and she decided it was time to leave. So I'll find out today if I'm staying in the dept I'm in or transitioning to another dept. I'm hoping I'm transitioning to another dept because I don't like the guy that would be my new boss. The man has been nothing but rude and degrading to our dept since he started. This morning I did STS Meso 2 Disc 15 Back and Bi's.

My niece had her baby on Weds afternoon, a little boy. I stopped at the hospital on my way home last night to see them. So precious. Mom, dad, and baby and doing great. They ended up doing emergency C-section.

One of our cats is sick. I thought at first he had a bladder infection so I had some antibiotics that I was giving him and it seemed to help but this morning we caught him in corners and he was spotting blood. He needs to go in to the vet so we can see what's going on.

Laurie - Welcome Back!!! I ordered that's RIPPED workouts. I can't wait to get them. Actually by that time I'll have to recuperate from my hip resurfacing surgery before I can get back into tough workouts.

Susan - Glad you pushed through your workout out. I know when I have those days and I push through it, I'm glad that I did too.

Hearty - I agree with you on the aches & pains. I've had aches and pains in my 30's but definitely has gotten worse when I hit more 40's.

Morning!

Last night was XTrain Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's! Love the Burn Set workouts. :D I followed that up with a low impact workout TaeBo Get Ripped Basic, that one started out with ab work, floor leg work and then some cardio. Tonight will be Hardstrikes. This week went pretty fast, just hope the weekend doesn't go as quickly.

Susan, Thanks for the info on PiYo, I'm going to do those with some type of Tabata/HiiT workout. I think they will compliment those fairly well. Not fun when you have those type of days, but WTG on getting through the workout. I usually feel so much better having done something.

Brenda, Congrats to your niece on the new baby! Hope you get some great news on your job, doesn't sound like fun. I now have a great boss compared to what I had previously. Great job on the workouts!

HI Ladies! Had an early A.M doc appointment and over slept so I took it as my rest day. Saturday I hope to get a 3 mile run in.

Brenda, well, I hope you get away from the "bad" boss and can move to a better dept. COngrats on the new baby in the family! :)

Laurie, I am thinking of putting PiYo with Cathe's new workouts, after I do Cathe's first rotation using them.
