Buff Badgers Week of March 4

Good Morning Ladies! Sorry for not checking in last week. I must admit that I enjoyed my unexpected week of rest. I have been able to get some school work done. I am working on my administration certification and am spending the next year (hopefully it won't take that long) completing my internship. We have to actually go to campus for one meeting during the intern so I had a 2 and 1/2 hour ride in the middle of the week after work just to get there. The meeting lasted 1hr and 15 minutes...so it took waaaay longer to get there than the meeting actually lasted..but I already heard that from others in advance so I knew what to expect. I have a lot of work and papers to do during the process so I was able to catch up on a few of these things last week and the weekend.

It is now TTOM but nothing was going to stop me this morning. I felt so energized with Cardio Leg Blast. Sometimes you just gotta find the perfect workout and I think I did this morning.

I have to go back and catch up on personals. Will do that this week. DH worked on our PC and got it all cleaned up so now I it is not running so slow. I really prefer using the PC to do my forums and not my Iphone.

Hi ladies. I had a quiet weekend. Brunch with friends, dinner at my MIL's, and no workouts. I've decided to take a psuedo-rest week this week so I can catch up on some house stuff around here. There are a bunch of little tasks that are starting to pile up.

I plan to still do a little HC because I don't want to stop progressing with that, but I can squeeze bits of that in there any time and don't have to set aside a big block of time to do them.

Brenda- Thinking of you. I hope everything went okay.

Heartymax- I'm glad you had a good week, it sounds like you've been very busy. I'm looking forward to a bit of a rest week myself.

Have a great day!

Hi,

Today I did CCC cardio premix only. Sun. I did HC season 2 Jan. and Sat. I ran 5.5 miles.

Heartymax, glad you are getting caught up on some of your work. Nice job finding the perfect workout for today.

Sam, have fun with your modified rest week. Don't underestimate the leg work in those HC workouts. My legs have never looked better either.

Have a great day.

This morning was Burn Sets Chest, Back and Shoulders. I couldn't do but 8 push ups on my toes after being fried from all those chest presses.

Karen---You have convinced me to go for HC.

Sam---how do you like them so far?

I read last night on the forum that there was a promo code for 25% off on HC. I looked on the website and couldn't find the code. I would like to order Vol 1 and 2. I think they said it expires 3/7 so I have to go to the other forum and post a question to find out the code.

Morning Ladies,

I'm still trying to get around what my body can handle right now. I have an appointment with the doctor. I have been having shortness of breath, so I think that I might have anemia. Need to get checked out though. ;) So far I have found that I am able to do weight work, so I'm planning on doing Cathe's Slow & Heavy.

Heartymax, Congrats on going for the Admin. Certification. That is tough having to be in a car for that amount of time.

Sam, Sounds like a great weekend. I love brunches, because you get such a different variety of food. ;)

Karen, So you have been convincing all of these ladies on HC. I will have to look back at your posts to see if it is something that I can handle right now. ;)

Have a great day!

Hi,

Today I did Horizontal Co. Hardcore Jan. year 2. There were lat moves in push up position with no weights. Neat exercise.

Laurie, glad you are going to the Dr. It has been going on a long time. I hope it is a quick fix and you can get back to your rotation. I got nice results when I did Slow and Heavy.

Heartymax, That workout really does fry every part of the upper body. Are you still working on the rotation for Xtrain? Yipee for getting HC. You are going to love the results.

Are you all shoveling a lot? We got about 5 inches. Just got done shoveling with the boys.

Have a nice day.

Hi!!

I wanted to pop in real quick to give you an update. Saturday's workout was SuperCuts and I added on cardio circuit blast from CF. Had a pretty good workout. Sunday was just trying to get some stuff done around the house but DH kept yelling at me to rest up for Monday. Surgery went well on Monday. They ended up removing a cluster of 3 lymph nodes in the left groin. I should hear back on the biopsy results by the end of the week. The swelling is pretty bad. I look deformed. I've been icing a lot and taking extra strength tylenol for pain. Today I did manage to work 4.75 hrs from home. I did 2.5 hrs and got tired and ended up sleeping for a couple of hours. Guess my body needed it. I dozed off for a little this afternoon. All this laying and sitting around is kind of driving me nuts. DH, god love him, is kind of driving me nuts because he's guestioning my every move and yelling at me to lay down and rest.

Great job on the workouts everyone!

Laurie - You definitely need to go to the doc. You've been messing with this way too long.

Karen - I think you got me convinced on getting HC as well.

Sam - Good job on keeping up with HC.

Heartymax - Congrats on going for the admin certification!

Time to ice.

Take Care everyone!
Brenda

It's a snow day so school is closed which is the last thing I want in March. Oh well, I guess I have to look forward to making up this day in June. We have days built onto end of calendar but I'd much rather get out early. So many people were hoping for a closing, but I wasn't. Spring break is around the corner and I can wait.

Today's workout was Cross Fire. I found myself switching to the green band at the end.

Laurie-- hope you are able to get a dr.'s appt.

Brenda--- you are such the energizer bunny so I am sure it is not easy slowing down and taking it easy.

Karen-- I finished the first 30 day Xtrain rotation. I'm kind of just doing my own thing now.

Hi!!

I wanted to let you all know that I got the results back from the biopsy and it came back reactive benign, which the doc tells me is that something in my body revved up those lymph nodes and made them swell and we'll probably never know what caused the swelling. I'm okay with that as long as it was not malignant. :D

Heartymax - We didn't get that much snow by me. Maybe 1-2" I'm glad it kind of missed us. I'm so ready for spring. We have some friends that are in Mexico on vacation and they sent me a picture of the sunrise. I'm so jealous of them. Now that I know what's all happening with me, I'm ready for this incision to heal so I can get back to my workouts. I'm hoping I can at least start in with Leslie next week. I felt really good today... must have been all that sleep I got over the last two days. I haven't slept that much in I can't remember when. This energizer bunny is ready to get back at it. ;)

Take Care!
Brenda

Brenda--good news on the test results:D

This morning was Burn Sets Bi's and Tri's and some planks.

Sam---my abs are not as strong as they were when you and I were doing those planks regularly. Gotta get ready for HC. Send some positive vibes my way.

Hi ladies! So, um... you know how I was going to keep doing HC? Yeah, hasn't happened  I'm determined to get one in this week, but life keeps happening. It's been TTOM as well, and a bad one , so it's good that I picked this week.

Brenda- Oh, what a relief! I bet that's a huge weight off your shoulders. Have a drink tonight, my friend :)

Heartymax- I'll send all the positive thoughts I can. They really are a mental challenge as well as a physical one.

Laurie- I hope you have a good talk with your doc. Hopefully you can get some answers and maybe even some solutions.

Karen- I'm looking forward to getting back to it. Part of the reason I took the week off was because my lower back was feeling funny. I know HC will help with that.

I will probably not check in tomorrow since I haven't been doing much. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Morning Ladies,

Had my Dr. appt. yesterday, and they will be looking at thyroid and anemia for sure. Will be having an echo done on my heart, to see if my murmur has changed also. The menstral issues are some of the things that many many women go through during peri menopause. Not at the point that I have to go to drastic measures though. ;) The shortness of breath issue has slowly been getting better, so that is an interesting thing.

Sam, Seems it must be that time of the year for bad TTOM's. ;) I don't want to wish myself into menopause, because is what I'm going through right now worse than hot flashes!

heartymax, My kids never liked snow days, because of having to do that make up day. Our youngest hasn't had one yet, and I'm hoping that it stays that way. ;)

Brenda, So glad to hear the good news! Our bodies are some interesting things, ever changing. ;) As of course I can attest to, think it is even worse for us women.

Karen, The doc was ok with me doing weight work. I think the SH workouts will be a good starting point. ;)

Have a great day!

Hi ladies!

Heartymax - Can't wait to hear your feedback on HC. I'm seriously considering ordering. :)

Sam- The drink will have to wait unitl this weekend. :) A dear friend said the same thing. I was heading back to work today so I opted not to. I'm sure you'll back to HC soon enough. Hope you feel better with TTOM.

Laurie - Glad to hear you went to the doc. I'll send all the good vibes that I was given right over to you, so you start feeling better.

Nothing to report on my end. Wanted to pop in and say hi! :D

Take Care!
Brenda

Hi

Brenda, glad for the good news. Keep resting and heal quickly so you can get back to your old energizer self. Nice your DH was taking such good care of you.

Laurie, interesting on the dizziness getting better but the other problem still there. I didn't know you had a murmur. Have you had it a long time?

Sam, I am sure you will do what you can. I think HC helped out my running. I am getting better times this year and I havent run very much and I am running in snow/not snow.

heartymax, if you don't have a problem with workouts like afterburn, you will do fine with HC. You are ready. Let me know how you like them.

Yesterday I did BM2 cardio with circuits minus the weights and today I went for a 5.5 mile run because it was so sunny out.

Take care.

Karen---I haven't received a confirmation of shipping yet for my HC. I hope to get them by the end of the next week.

Laurie--glad you were able to get a doctor's appointment. My youngest son had a murmur when he was little and it went away after a few years. No sound of it at any of the check ups the last few years.

Today's workout was STS Legs Disc 6. Have a great weekend everyone.

Heartymax, it took about 3 days for mine to get here. She ships out the next day after you order. She doesn't send out shipping notices. Have a good weekend.

Happy Friday!!

Nothing new to report but I had to tell you guys that I caved and ordered HC. I bought volume 2 and Boot Camp. I jumped on board the HC train. :)

Karen - Do you have the Boot Camp one? If so, what is it like? My incision is recovering nicely. DH was kind of surprised how quick I bounced back. I keep telling him I'm invincible and this is just a bump in the road. :)

Heartymax - I'm excited about HC. Can't wait to try it. Once I get back to my normal workouts I want to finish the XTrain 90 day undulating rotation and then I'll start in on HC.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend!
Brenda

Woohoo--HC arrived today.

Karen--do you have the body bar of were you able to modify using something else?

Glad you joined the HC train Brenda. We can share our success along the way.
