Happy Monday!!

I didn't see one out there so hopefully I'm not duplicating

Saturday was Supercuts and my own version HC and cardio to finish up my hour. This morning started off with Chest, Back, and Shoulders.

Weekend was nothing too exciting. Chores around the house, reading, etc.

I got an email over the weekend that Joe Weider passed away at age 93 of heart failure.

Make it a great day!

Hello, ladies!

Friday was Tabatacise (the whole thing). Saturday was the PUB "down" premix, no abs. Sunday was a rest day.

I decided to do CTX this week. Today was Power Circuits and Back. I hadn't done HiLo in awhile :) It was a nice change of pace.

I had a good weekend. Saturday was my grandma's birthday dinner in Kenosha, and yesterday we went to the home and garden show at State Fair with my MIL. It was sort of depressing since we can't afford to do anything to our house right now , but it was nice to see some ideas. We drowned our sorrows in pizza when we got home

Brenda- I heard about Joe Weider. He was blessed with a long, healthy life :)

Have a great day, everyone.

Evening Ladies,

Well I finally got in a workout! :D I did SH Chest, and BeFit Butt Workout 1: Tone Up. This one was about a 11 min. cardio, 30 sec. of exercise, 15 sec. of rest. Probably about all I could handle for the first time doing cardio in over a month. :p

Had a birthday party for my youngest on Saturday, and just had cake and coffee. Everyone had a good time, and it was nice to see all of the family.

Brenda, Sounds like a good weekend. Sometimes it is just nice to be at home catching up on things that need to be done.

Sam, We went to the H&G Show last year, and you are right it does get depressing when you can't afford to do some of those lovely outdoor ideas that they have displayed. ;) I think we went for Italian also. :D

Have a great day!

Good Afternoon Ladies!!

This morning I had cardio leg blast. Did real good through the majority of the workout and the last round got me. My left hip wasn't real happy and then it traveled down to my knee. I've been limping around more today. I need to ice when I get home.

I get my orthotics tonight... I can't wait.

Sam - I know what you mean about the H&G show. It's fun to see all the different things and get ideas, then reality sets in that you afford to do it. WTG on Tabatacise!! I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to finish out the 90 Day Xtrain rotation. I want to do other workouts. I think I'll finish up this week and then change things up a bit.

Laurie - Happy B-day to your youngest! Bet if feels good to gradually get back into the workouts. Glad you're back! :)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Afternoon, ladies.

I organized all my workout DVD's today. I have 110 actual discs , but many of those have more than one workout per disc. I realized I should try to do some of my older ones now and then. There are days when I don't feel like working out, and it would be better to do an easier Firm or Slim Series or Leslie than do nothing at all.

DS hung out with me in the basement during my workout today. He did the stretch with me -- so cute :) I did CTX 10-10-10 and Triceps. I forgot what a toaster that triceps set is... lordy.

Laurie- Lol over getting Italian after the H&G show. We're waiting on DH FINALLY getting the job he interviewed for back in May... just waiting for an appropriate project for him to start with... and then we can hopefully start doing some remodeling. Yay on getting a workout in! I bet it felt great to get back into it.

Brenda- I love Tabatacise. I would do it three times a week if I knew I wouldn't burn out on it. I don't blame you for wanting to do other workouts. That's the problem with rotations. It's not that I get sick of the rotation, it's more that I miss my other workouts. I usually can't last much longer than a month.

Have a nice evening, everyone.

Hi, Yesterday I did HoCo vol. 1 and today I ran 5.5 miles. Can't remember what I did over the weekend.

Sam, I think the same as you about at least doing some of my easier workouts instead of not working out at all. How cute DS did your stretch with you.

Brenda, sorry you hip is hurting you now. I hope you orthotics help.

Laurie, glad you are getting back into you workouts now. Sounds like a nice relaxing birthday. We celebrated with family on Sat. our oldest DD birthday and will celebrate again my oldest DS tomorrow. I can't believe how old they are getting.

Have a nice day.

Good Afternoon!

Got my orthotics last night and I have them in my shoes. Will take a little getting used to but I'm sure they will help with my issues with my knees and hip. I can can already tell the difference from wearing the cheap ones from the store.

This morning I had Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's and I finished off my hour with some HC. Bi's felt weak this morning. I managed to get two sets out using the 20's but had to drop to 15 on the TF set.

Sam - I never counted to see how many discs I have. I should do that some day. Now you have me curious. :) That is too cute that DS stretched with you. You should of had a video camera going.

Karen - I stretched out last night before bed to try and help stretch out my hips and legs. It felt a little better this morning. I know I'm going to have good days and bad days with the arthritis, so I just need to deal with and work through it. There are many other people out there that deal with much worse. ;)

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi gals,

Today I did Born to Move Workout one section 2 and the dynamic stretch. That is a workout in itself but I liked it. I can't finish all the reps she does even in her shortest workout. I think I did better on the workout 2 on this disk and it was longer.

Brenda, I hope your orthotics help the hip problem. Are you using the HoCo for just ab work or do you do sections of it?

Hi everyone else. What are your plans for Easter.

I haven't felt well this week. First I thought I was coming down with a cold but I'm not sure what it is. Low energy, sore throat, cold.

One more day and we are out for spring break! We are traveling to visit family and will be gone about 7 or 8 days.

Good morning! Yesterday was CTX All Step with Shoulders and Abs. Today will be Step and Intervals with Chest. At least I hope. I am hosting Easter dinner on Sunday, and have to make a few trips to grocery stores to buy ingredients today and get home in time to work out and get dinner on the table by five so we can get to church by 6:30. I better hurry...

Heartymax- Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Enjoy your spring break.

Karen- When I was sorting through my DVD's the other day I found my Toniques and and was admiring Sylwia's legs. :D I'll have to try one again soon. I only have Tonique 2, Mat, and Cardio Mat. I don't think I've ever done Cardio Mat

Brenda- I've never lifted anything heavier than a 15 for bi's, and that's been for concentration curls and hanging curls only, so you have my utmost respect being able to use 20's at all ;)

Speaking of weights, I think I need to invest in 20 and 25 lb dumbbells. I have power blocks that adjust to 45 pounds apiece, but they're awkward for any move where you have to hold the head of the dumbbell, like French presses or lat pullovers. I was very excited when my dad gave them to me for free, but they have not been as useful as I thought they would be.

Have a great day!

Hello!

This morning I had All Out Low Impact and I was supposed to do Core2 but I only had about 10-15 min I did HC on my own to gradually continue building the endurance in my core and shoulders.

Karen - So far I've just been using HoCo for ab work. I did majority of BootCamp when I first got them but since then I've been using it for ab work. I think this will be my last week of the Xtrain rotation so I can go back to doing some other workouts.

Heartymax - Sorry you haven't been feeling well. Enjoy your spring break. Maybe it'll actually start feeling like spring. :)

Sam - How many people do you have coming over for Easter? I was wondering about those power blocks. I know when I bought some of my heavier dumbbells, I lucked out and found them on sale at Mill's Fleet Farm by me. I never heard of Tonique.

Easter for us if pretty uneventful. We will be dining out for dinner with DH's dad and my parents and one of my nephews.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Good morning. No workout yesterday. Shortly after I checked in, I got word from DH that his aunt, who was diagnosed with lymphoma only two weeks ago, has deteriorated rapidly, and is how in hospice at home.

I just didn't feel like working out after getting news like that. She's such a cool woman, funny, and one of my favorites from DH's family, and her husband worships the ground she walks on. Tough stuff to come, I'm afraid.

But, Easter is coming! My favorite day of the year.

Brenda- It'll be a small group; just my parents, DH's mom, and my brother and his wife. Tonique is super, super high rep stuff. No heavier weights than three pounds, and very challenging. Hundreds of lunges and squats. It's different than Cathe, that's for sure.

Church tonight, cleaning tomorrow, and my favorite day on Sunday. The menu is ham, asparagus with hollandaise, my mom's creamy potatoes with gruyere and leeks, plenty of rye bread, raw onions, and horseradish for sandwiches, pink wine and cheap champagne, and a caramel cake for dessert. Yum!

Happy Easter to all!

Happy Happy Friday!

This morning I had Hardstrikes and followed that with 4DS Kickbox portion only.

It's been a long, stressful week... I"m very happy it's Friday!

Sam - So Sorry to hear that DH's aunt is getting worse. I'll have to check out Tonique, maybe that'll help build up then endurance in my muscles.

I got Cathe's newsletter that the presale ends on Sunday for her new DVD's, so I'll be placing that order this weekend. :D

Happy Easter to Everyone!!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Brenda

Ladies, sorry I have been away. I will be back on Monday. It was a long and rough winter for me. I worked out, but I just seemed to have lost something. I had no desire...It was weird. But, over the past week, something happened and I am feeling better and stronger and ready to roll.

Honestly,as far as working out these past months, it's been Pilates, and whatever cardio I was "feeling". I have not gained any weight, but have lost tone, which I hate. I had a good heart to heart with myself today, and it's time to get back in the game!

I am pre-ordering Cathe's new workouts, which I think has helped me get out of my funk. I never did buy Insanity, because at the time I was not feeling it. I think I was battling the winter blues...

I am really looking forward to hanging here again. I have missed you all~

Susan:)
