Buff Badgers Week of July 22nd

Saturday was To the Max and Pyramid Upper Body (down only premix). Sunday was 40/20 which is more like 30/30 for me:eek:. Just finished Cross Fire this morning and did some of Horizontal conditioning.

Brenda--I'm trying to get in some good kick butt cardio to get my body ready for this weekend. I have printed the packing list that I found. I need to purchase some new sports bra---I'm over due anyway so this makes me go out and get some. I really appreciate all that you have shared and the encouragement that you are giving me. I'm really excited and nervous at the same time. DH joked and told me not to call him to come pick me up if I can' t hang:D.

I had a nice weekend. My brother has his local family and friends over and we had a nice time.

Good Morning!

Weekend was busy with a bunch of different things. Saturday I did To The Max and Sunday was my no workout day, can't say rest day because I was doing garden work all day. :) This morning I did Chest, Back, and Shoulders from XTrain.

Hearty - We again were pretty much on the same page on Saturday with TTM. That was another nice thing when I went on the RT, it gave me a reason to my new workout clothes :D You will do great and you will have a blast!!!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi ladies! I'm back from my last vacation of the year with a great tan thanks to a day on the pontoon boat ;) I managed to get five workouts in, even without AC and really hot, sticky weather: Afterburn, Tabatcise 1-3, Turbo Barre (express premix), Supercuts, and the combos from KPC.

Sunday was the worst day of TTOM, so I did an easy Jessica Smith "Barefoot Fusion Walk" workout. Got rid of my cramps, which is all I really wanted. (Isn't it a cruel trick of nature that exercise completely relieves cramps but the last thing you want to do when you have horrible cramps is move???)

This morning I did Shape It Up! from Slim Series after starting Tonique 2.1, deciding I wasn't in the mood, and pulling it out of the player. I think I'm going to stick with Slim Series for strength work this week. Way back when, I saw my very first muscle definition with Slim Series...

I ordered Rachel Crosgrove's Drop Two Sizes system. It's getting some decent reviews on the VF forums, and has 2 strength and 1 metabolic workout per week, which seems just my speed.

Brenda- I was thinking I should be getting back to HC now that my SI joint is feeling so much better. I think I'm going to squeeze it in this week.

Heartymax- How did I miss that you were going on the RT???? I'm so excited for you. I bought a few new workout tops at Target before I went. Also, I put each outfit in a gallon-size ziploc. That way, you can put your wet, stinky clothes right back into the bag when you're done with each workout. I bought new bras for the trip at Old Navy. I love their sports bras. I'd love to go on the Glassboro trip sometime to see Cathe's studio. Someday :D

Have a great day, everyone!

Hi Sam! You got in a lot of workouts while on vacation! I love summer time. It is so relaxing and I have a chance to catch up on things. Even though I get a month ago, I think I feel more relaxed because the kids are not in school and there are no projects, homework, tests....to keep up with. I have my gallon bags and plan to pack tomorrow evening.

This morning was High Reps....I wanted to add on some cardio but my legs were too tired from all the reps and the low ends.

Hello! Today was CTX All Step (just the cardio). I had cleaned all morning and wasn't in the mood for anything super intense or super long.

Heartymax- Even though I'm not working anymore, I still think of summer as catch-up time. Life slows down just a bit :D

Have a great day!

Hello

This morning was Hardstrikes (cardio only) with 4DS Kickbox portion. Today I took the morning off at work to go get a full body thermal imaging scan. Has anyone had that done? I should get the detailed results on Friday. It identifies hot spots and issues in your body so you can be proactive.

Sam - Welcome back! Great job on the workouts while on vacation. I would love to go to the Glassboro RT once as well so see Cathe's studio. I would also love to meet the rest of the workout crew.

Heartymax - Only a few more days before you head out for the RT. Yeah!! I said it before and I'll say it again, I'm so excited for you.

How cool would that be if majority of us Buff Badger gals could all go on a RT together. Maybe someday?!?!?!??!!?

Have a great night!

I chose a premix from Low Impact Challenge today. I wanted to workout but not at a high intensity level like I have the last week. I haven't had a rest day so I don't want my body to be exhausted this weekend. I almost took a rest day then I decided that the LIC would be the perfect workout.

I love these new sports bras. They fit very well.

Hello,

This morning I did Lower Body Tri Sets and then for the remaining 20 min I did my own combo of core work and then a cardio blast.

Hearty - You definitely don't want to be exhausted going to the RT. I know last year, I didn't even workout that day because I knew we'd be working out there and that we did.

Have a great day. I'm going to sit in outside in the sun and eat my lunch.

Hello, everyone. I did Mix It Up from Slim Series today. It's more upper body focused, which is good, because my quads are so sore from Monday's workout.

I ordered the Drop Two Sizes book for my Kindle and skimmed through it last night. I must say I've very excited to get the dvds. Reading through the menu plan made me realize I really need to focus on my eating, though. I don't intend to follow her plan exactly, but I should try to save alcohol, sugar, and cured/processed meats for once or twice a week only.

Brenda- I was thinking the same thing. It would be really fun if we could go to Glassboro as a group someday. If DH EVER gets this job he's waiting for, maybe we could afford it....

Heartymax- I took the day off before the RT, I think. Either that or I did something very gentle. I also took the day off after. It's hard work but so fun. My jeans fit better when I returned :D

I am LOVING this weather!!! I liked that it was hot while we were up north so we could enjoy the water, but it was tough to sleep at night. I haven't been using the AC and it's a perfect, dry 71 degrees in the house. Glorious.

Have a great day!

Good Morning!

This morning was BM2 Cardio Blast. Haven't done that one in a while and it's usually a good calorie burner for me so it was just want I wanted and needed. I always have fun with the music in that. My hiney is sore from lower body tri sets yesterday. It's a good sore. :)

Sam - You'll have to keep me posted on Drop Two Sizes. I would love to hear your feedback on it. We'll have to keep that in mind about going to Glassboro as a group. That would be so fun! Hopefully someday. As much as I like the warmth, I have been enjoying the cooler temps. I'm good with 80 and sun. Heck I'll even take 75 and sun.

Hearty - Tomorrow is the big day!! I took off that Friday when I headed out for RT. I went back to work on Monday though. I should have done what Sam did and took Monday off too. My body could have used that extra day.

Enjoy your day!
Brenda

Good morning. I wasted way too much time on the computer this morning and had to cut my workout short. I did just the fist half of Imax 2.

Brenda- I got my shipping notice on Tuesday. I hope they get here this week because I'd like to start Monday. Otherwise I'll have to wait a week since it'll bug me to not have my "off" day on Sundays. I really like that premix from BM2.

I hope you have fun, Heartymax! I'll be thinking of you, and possibly trying to watch the videos online!

Last night we went to DH's company picnic at the Zoo. It was pretty fun, actually. We took DS and he got to touch the stingrays, which he absolutely loved.

Have a great day!

Good Morning. I did Burn Sets upper body premix today for 90 minutes. Long but good workout. Tomorrow is the big day. I will start packing and getting my things organized. I need to take a few healthy snacks to keep in my bag between the workouts. I know I am going to need something to re-energize me.

Have a great weekend ladies and I will definitely report back on my adventure.

Happy Friday!

This morning was bi's & tri's from XTrain and then a little cardio from Cardio Leg Blast, not much though.

I had a 1/2 day today and we took our one cat into the vet to get shaved because his fur was so matted on his back especially. He was not happy with us but overall he handled it without having to be sedated. Now he looks like a little lion. :)

I'll be thinking of you this weekend Hearty and hoping to watch some videos online as well. I see they are off air right now. Not sure what time it all starts. Can't wait to hear about our adventure.

Sam - Glad you guys had fun at the zoo. Hopefully you'll get your stuff in time to start on Monday.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Brenda

Hello! Just popping in really quick. I did Jari's Ripped and Chiseled for the first time in about a year. Holy crud; it kicked my tail. I seem to recall doing the bicep section with 8lb weights, and today I was doomed to 5's. But, I haven't been doing endurance work lately, and over 200 curls is a LOT, right? :p

Brenda- Kitties look so cute and funny in those lion cuts! I'm glad he took it okay.

I watched what I could of the first RT class. I don't have much broadband, so there was a lot of buffering, but the picture and sound quality was fantastic! I don't know if I saw Heartymax or not :)

Have a great weekend!
