Buff Badgers Week of July 18th

Hi,

Yesterday I ran 6.5 miles. Today I am going to do RKS 12 and some kickboxing.

Heartymax, hope your leg is feeling better soon. Good you are resting it.

Sue, how was your movie? Did you make up all your workouts?:D Thanks for the thought of getting us tickets.

Sam, have fun on your date night. Nice to have family to help with things. Nice job with the heavier weights.

Hi Lala and Susan.

Leaving for vacation tomorrow so I won't be here next week. Enjoy your workouts for me.

Heartymax - Have you tried ice or heat on your shin? I think it goes like this - ice on a new injury, heat on an old one. Anyway, I hope the rest makes it heal quicker. I know how it feels to be sidelined with an injury.

Karen - No, I didn't makeup all the workouts. :D Actually I didn't do any! Have just been really unmotivated this week. I guess my body needed a break. Are you still liking RKS?

Finally worked out this morning (1st time since Monday) and did S90 Core Dynamics. Tomorrow we're going to Chicago for 1 night and I have a lot to do tonight and tomorrow morning so don't know if I'll get a workout in or not. I really hope it doesn't rain all weekend. Had plans of enjoying the lakefront and walking around downtown. Don't really want to do that in the rain.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Last night was supposed to be Bootcamp/bis and tris. I had so much dread factor going on that I did something I've NEVER done before: I went for a run. Keep in mind, I'm the kid that couldn't run a mile in grade school, and I've never been able to run for longer than about three minutes without getting a horrible stitch in my side, or feeling like keeling over, or whatever. Well, I ran about fifteen minutes straight. I still can't believe it. I'm not sure if I'll make a habit of it, but I sure was proud of myself. Did the upper body weight work when I got home.

No workout today. I need to use DS's naptime to get the house ready for us to go out tonight.

Sue- Yup, we're planning to get there about an hour early to stand in line. We learned that lesson when we went to see The Dark Knight with some friends who were much more savvy than we were.

Karen - Have a great vacation!

Heartymax- I'm surprised your thirteen year-old hasn't asked to see this movie yet, too. I had to read the first four books for mt children's lit. class in college and I've been hooked ever since. I'm betting he'll want to see it eventually. I hope your leg feels better soon.

Hi Susan!

Have a great weekend everybody!

Hi ladies! Today was Legs/Back/Abs felt great! No big plans for us this weekend. Might take kids to the movies, either Cars or Harry, we'll have to see. I have a ton of cleaning and some yard work I'd like to do too.

Karen, have a great time on your vacation!

Sue, sometimes our bodies do tell us to just rest!

Sam, I decided after I finish P90X I am going to take up running agin. I ran a little last weekend with our dog and I so wanted to do more! So I am going to go find me some new running shoes. I am really looking forward to it. Hope to get out 3 mornings a week and get back up to my 5 mile range. Enjoy your date tonight!

Have a great weekend ladies! Susan
