Buff Badgers Week of Jan. 30th

Hello! Well with DH gone, I overslept today! I guess I rely on his alarm more than I thought! I will be doing S90 chest/shoulders/tris after work.

DS has a B-ball tourney tomorrow. Have to be at the gym by 7:30am!So I will get up early and walk the dog but my other workout will have to wait til we get home.

Laurie, I was thinking the same thing about P90X2. I still want to get Insanity anyway. :)

Heartymax, enjoy your time with friends! And that apple pie! Yummy! I had bought some pumpkin pie cheese cake from my DD's fund raiser and allow myself to have a slice once a week. It's so delicious! We are almost done with it, then we go on to the turtle cheese cake!!

Have a great weekend ladies! Susan

Laurie - Hurray for modifiers! I used to feel like a wimp if I couldn't do the advanced version but now as long as I'm working hard, I'll do the modifier sometimes.

Heartymax - I hope you have that apple pie with no regrets. Life is too short to live in a constant state of denial. My legs finally feel better today so I guess my DOMS has moved onto you!

Susan - There ought to be a law against starting basketball tourneys so early on Saturday morning! Pumpkie pie and turtle cheesecake, oh my! Such restraint to have just 1 piece per week.

Had to pickup a sick DD from school yesterday. She has a bad cold like the one I'm still fighting. Was going to workout yesterday but it felt better to rest. This morning I did 10# SDX Total Body because I felt like doing a circuit before starting S&H next week.

Good morning! Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. I had a HORRIBLE day as far as fitness is concerned. I ate tons of garbage, didn't exercise, etc. Ugh. I won't get into it. But today is a new day... except I didn't get up to workout this morning. Insomnia and restless legs took over last night

Anyway, the plan is to do TA Mat while DS sleeps this afternoon or while DH puts him to bed tonight. I can't promise that my eating will be that great, because it's Friday and I could really use a glass of wine :p

I'm thinking Elliot may be close to being able to leave him "free" and out of his crate while I work out, so these 4 a.m. workouts may become a thing of the past. Soon.

Susan- Glad to know I'm not the only one who overslept this morning. I tend to depend on DH's alarm as well.

Laurie- I'm with Sue on those Weider workouts. They look okay until the word "repeat" comes up. Blargh.

Heartymax- Enjoy that dessert! You work hard, and I think you can enjoy it guilt-free! I prefer the motion on an elliptical myself, but make sure you try before you buy. I've found that despite liking them better, they make my toes go numb within twenty minutes, no matter what stride or foot placement or shoes I use.

Sue- Sugar's not my downfall until I have some... and then I CAN'T STOP. It's terrible. Last night I was eating marshmallows straight out of the bag, and considered stopping on the way home from choir to get Cocoa Pebbles  I agree that I'd rather have something full of chemicals than the super high-fat, high-sugar thing that I'm craving. I've been known to drink super-salty chicken broth when I've got a salt craving. It's bad for me, but it's better than the can of Pringles I'd like to put down :D

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Sam, I think we all have days like that. Sometimes even weeks! I enjoyed my glass of wine last night!;) And may need another this evening!

Heartymax, we have a LifeFitness X3 machine. My DH bought it when he had gotten a bonus from work. It was expensive because he wanted the "club" version which was $3,000. It did make my feet go numb a little when I first started using it, after a while your body gets used to it and that goes away. My DH is 5'10 and I am 5'6 and we do not have a problem with the height.
