Buff Badgers Week of Feb. 24th

Cathlete
Good Morning Ladies. The weather was absolutely gorgeous on Saturday. My boys and the neighborhood kids hung outside for several hours. It was just an amazing day of sunny and 60.

Saturday morning I did my consecutive push ups and got to 19. The last one was ugly so I didn't even try for 20. I made up the Slow and Heavy legs workout since I only had time for shoulders the other day and then I went ahead and then Slow and Heavy Chest and Back as scheduled. My knee was bothering me Saturday night and I am not sure because as you know the weights are really not that heavy in the leg workout but maybe it was the exhaustion from the slow pace. Anyway, I didn't workout on Sunday just to make sure I didn't aggravate it any more.

Today's workout was 5 sets of push ups and Hiit 40/20 followed by 50 walking lunges, 50 dips, 100 firewalkers and 50 lunges. It is TTOM and I can't believe I picked a Hiit workout. Oh well, I managed to get through and normally need a few extra seconds anyway.:D

Hi ladies. Sorry I was completely missing last week. I was really battling the nausea and fatigue and didn't get a single workout in. And now I've got a nasty cold... I know, could I have any more excuses?

Anyway, today I did Jessica Smith's Dance Party workout. It was the perfect thing; when I first started I was feeling pretty grumpy and sick, but by the time I finished I was smiling and feeling much better.

Heartymax- I'm about ready for some gorgeous weather. Hurry up, Spring! You have my utmost respect for tackling hiit 40/20 with TTOM going on.

Have a great day, everyone.

Good Afternoon!

Saturday I did KPC and enjoyed every minute of it. I need to get a new DVD though. That one does not play well at all. It freezes at the tail end of the ab work and I can't even get to the stretch. I put in the extended stretch from STS. Sunday was my no workout day. This morning I did Burn Sets Chest and Back w/Core#1. Felt great to lift those heavy weights. We'll see if I'm sore tomorrow or not. Saturday my legs were definitely feeling lower body tri-sets that I did on Friday. It felt good though. I haven't had that feeling in my legs for the past 3 1/2 months. I might do lean legs & abs this Friday for my leg workout.

Hearty - That is a tough workout to tackle with it being TTOM. 60 degrees.... I'll take that. This has been a long cold, snowy winter. I'm with Sam.... so ready for spring.

Sam - Hope you feel better. Nothing like a little Dance Party to make you feel better. Glad it helped.

DH is having a good time in Canada on his snowmobiling trip. Will be anxious to see the pictures when he returns.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Brenda

Sam--Morning sickness is definitely a good excuse to not workout. I love your profile pic and your hair color. I don't think I told you that. It's very pretty.

Brenda---We are expecting more snow tomorrow and I am NOT HAPPY about that. Supposed to be 1 to 3 inches so not along, but enough for a school closing here if it actually happens. Another snow day will definitely take a day of our spring break. We are hoping the last two days we had will get waived since it was a state emergency but no final word on that yet either.

Today was Slow and Heavy triceps and biceps. Flatbench triceps are hard for me....add the slow reps and they are a killer.

Good Afternoon!

This morning I did 4DS Kickbox and Bootcamp cardio premix. That was fun! It's nice to be able to do different workouts. I definitely have DOMS from yesterday. Especially in my chest. It feels good though. I have had DOMS like that in a while.

Hearty - I wouldn't be happy about more snow either. Winter can be done with any day. It's been a super long time since I've done Slow & Heavy. I might have to pull some of these older ones out.

Sam - I hope you are feeling better.

Make it a great day!
Brenda

Brenda---What is about Cathletes---We love DOMS!!!:D

We got more snow yesterday. It didn't stick. It could have been seen as a beautiful day with the snowy trees but I am sick and tired of winter so I just didn't quite see it that way.

I just finished my 5 sets of push ups and my cardio today was Intensity which is one I have not done in a while. I did the step and Lo Hiit followed by 3 minutes of planks.

Hope you are feeling better Sam.

Good Evening!

This morning I did Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's, 200 jacks, 50 ski hops, 50 high knee run, followed by Core 1. I have a feeling DOMS are going to set in. I have lift that heavy with my arms in a long time. It felt great though.

Hearty - Intensity is one tough workout! Will winter ever end. It's been a long, cold, snowy winter. I'm so done with it.

Hi Sam- hope all is well!

I'm going to try and put some photos of my new finished workout area on my album. We'll see it if works.

Sleep tight!

Brenda--good workout you had yesterday. Love the Bi's and Tri's. Looking forward to seeing the pic.

Today was HC Bootcamp. This workout has dread factor written all over it. It is definitely more than a core workout. My legs screaming.

Hi ladies. No workouts yesterday or Tuesday. Just sick with this cold, and when I sit around the more I want to do is sit around. It's a vicious cycle. I did Jessica Smith's Stride and Step workout today which is like a walking workout with a step. It was fun and I definitely worked hard.

Heartymax- Thanks for the compliment. Funny that you mentioned my hair. I just told my hairdresser on Tuesday I'd like to grow it out a bit :)

Brenda- I can't wait to see pictures of your workout space!

I'm having trouble with eating because it's the only thing that keeps the nausea at bay... and, unfortunately, I'm not craving very healthy stuff. In fact, plain vegetables make me sick. So, I've been drinking V8, which is much more palatable at this point. I just wish I weren't craving things like fast food and nachos. Pregnancy is such a magical time

Have a great day, everyone.

Good Afternoon!

Yes... major DOMS in the arms from Bi's & Tri's yesterday. :D This morning I did X10 Step, LI, Cardio Blast but I didn't do the weight portion in Step and LI. Followed that with Stretch Max.

I tried uploading some pics last night but I think the files were too big. I let it run all night and it was stuck in the same place this morning as last night when I went to bed. I'll have to compress the files and then try uploading them again.

Hearty - I agree with you that HC Bootcamp has a dread factor. That's why I don't reach for that one too often. Yeah for you though for doing it. :D

Sam - I hope the nausea gets better as time goes on. Hope you start feeling better.

DH comes home on Saturday!! Yeah!! I haven't been away from him this long in a long time.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Brenda

Today is a rest day for me. I should get in some cardio and another slow and heavy this weekend.

Brenda--enjoy your DOMS.

Sam--have a great weekend and don't be so hard on yourself. You will be able to go back and incorporate veggies in your diet. I had someone laughing the other day that I used to stop by McDonald's to get a happy meal on the way home for a snack when I was pregnant with my 2nd child. That lasted for short while luckily.

Hi ladies! I managed to work through some pretty bad nausea and get at least part of a workout in. I did Jessica Smith's Weight Loss Sculpting or something like that. I had to stop a few minutes before it was done, though. She was getting into some not pregnant-lady-friendly abs, and I was pooped.

Heartymax- LOL over the McDonald's. I have a nutrition coach friend on Facebook who's normally kind of preachy about eating clean and even has a clean eating blog. Anyway, she's pregnant right now and horrified to discover she suddenly loves fast food :D I found it very funny.

Brenda- Your DH has been gone a long time! I'd be excited if I were you, too. I hope you have a nice reunion :)

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Happy Friday!!

This morning I did Lean Legs & abs. That was the first time I did that workout. The side leg lifts with the band killed me. I suck at those with out tension. Overall, I enjoyed the workout.

Hearty - That is funny about stopping at MacDonald's for a happy meal. Have fun with your workouts this weekend.

Sam - Glad you got some of a workout in. I don't have kids so I have no idea what you're going through but doesn't sound fun. I'm sure once the little one is born it'll all have been worth it.

Have a great weekend!
Brenda
