Hi ladies!

I thought I'd start us off since I was almost totally MIA last week.

My workouts over the weekend were:
Friday- Couch to 5K Week 4 Day 1
Saturday- Off
Sunday- Muscle Endurance Upper Body only

I hope to tackle my next run for the week when DH gets home. I had a rough night with my insomnia last night, but I should be able to catch a quick nap while DS sleeps.

Hi,

Today I did KPC and Bum Bum High and Tight. Yesterday I did HC 101 and Sat. I ran 5.5 miles on the trails with my dog.

DD21 dance recital was nice yesterday. DD10 play went off well also.

Sam you are doing a great job with that couch to 5k. Hope you can get a nap in.

Brenda, It is so nice you got your decorations up and some shopping done. Every little bit helps. Nice job working all those body parts.

DD10 is home sick today. Had 6 inches or so of snow yesterday. Couldn't fiind my snowshoes to walk the dog in the woods so I walked in my boots. Snowshoes would have been much easier. :)

Hi everyone!

I did Couch to 5K Week 4 Day 2 today. I felt really great at first, but a side stitch got me in my last five minute run interval and I had to walk for a couple minutes. This sounds weird, but I think the type of sports bra I'm wearing might be causing the stitches. I could be wrong, but it seems like when I wear the compression type, I tend to get stitches, whereas when I wear an underwire it happens much less often. Hmmmm....

Karen- Nice workouts the last few days. I hope the day comes when I can run as much.

Brenda- Ugh. I am not done with my shopping. In fact, I'm nowhere close. I have some decorations up, including the tree, but our house is so goofy looking this year with us gradually trying to redecorate that I'm not going to put as many up.

Speaking of decorating... an old college friend of mine and her husband, both contractors, are stopping by today to take a look at our kitchen and baths to give us some initial ideas about what a total gut and remodel will cost and what we is possible and what is not.

It's a very small step, and we don't have the money yet to do anything, but I'm still pretty excited.

This morning I did CrossFire but I skipped the 2nd round of each tabata section. I couldn't believe how sore my legs were from Cardio SS yesterday. After today, I can just imagine what they'll feel like tomorrow. This kind of sore I like. :)

Karen - Great job on the workouts. Is DD10 feeling better. You must live in northern WI if you got 6" of snow. My DH is on his way to Ladysmith tonight and he drove into snow and he said they had a lot more snow then we have here. We got 1-2".

Sam - Even if you can't afford the remodel right now it's still exciting. I think it's a good idea that even if you may not be ready for remodeling to at least check it out to see what it would take so you can prepare. That's an interesting thought on the bra with your side stitches. You may be onto something.

Good Morning,

Today I did spinning to CC 8, the went for a walk in the trails with my dog. Hope to find my snowshoes today and go out for a walk on the trails with my DS14 and DD10. They have early release today. I had an interview this morning for playground aide, I am sure they have someone in mind already but I would really like it as it would fit into my schedule with the kids well.

Brenda, I need to try cardio ss yet. What would you consider it. Cardio? Yes, we live 1 hr. north of Eau Claire, only 30 min. from Ladysmith. Glad he didn't have to drive in the storm. I'll take your snowfall instead of ours. The rest of my family would disagree with that.

Sam how exciting that you can get some ideas on remodeling for when you are ready. You may be onto something with your running. Let us know if that ends up being what it was. It sounds like it could be. You are doing a great job running. Don't give up, some days will be easier than others.

Good morning! No workout yesterday, and none yet today. I overslept and wasn't able to get out for a run before DH left for work. I plan to do a video instead today, I'm just not sure what. Maybe weights so I can try to get out tomorrow to run.

Brenda- I see you're back to the intense workouts. That's great! I love DOMS. I know some people think it's weird, but it's impossible to feel at all flabby when you have DOMS :)

Karen- I'm jealous that you have snow. Not so much for me, but for DS. He hasn't made any snow memories yet :( I hope we get at least a couple good snowfalls this winter. I don't require a ton of snow, but I like to get some.

The contractors had some pretty good ideas for our kitchen, and VERY reasonable estimates as far as what everything would cost. So, we have an idea now of where we want to go, now we just need to start saving up.

Hello,

Today I did Muscle Max and Barbara Bengah yoga for my SI joint/hip area.
I also took a snowshoe walk with my dog on the trails, just a mile. My kids and I did get out yesterday for the mile loop also.

Sam, I hope you get some snow. I know the last couple of years have not been very kind for snow memories. How old is your DS? What weight workout did you end up doing. I debated for a long time this am on what weight workout to do.

Hi Ladies!!

Did have time to post yesterday. I had to travel to one of our IL facilities to do some training. It was an extremely long day and by the time I got home, I ate a little dinner and got ready for bed.

Yesterday I did Upper Body Tri Sets. Still have DOMS in the legs. My side felt back to normal until I did some weight over my head. I didn't injure it again, I felt it and was very careful and did a different exercise so I wouldn't irritate more. Felt great to do some uppper body weights. This morning I put in Leslie and added my intensity. I had a good cardio workout this morning.

Sam - Yep, back to the intense workouts. :) Isn't that the truth, you don't feel flabby when you have DOMS. ;) Glad things went well with the contractor. Hopefully DS will be able to get some snow memories this winter. I like the snow because it brightens things up since all the leaves are off the trees, but I hate driving in the stuff.

Karen - Oh good... you found your snow shoes. I'm with you on the snow. DH is a snowmobiler so he likes the snow. He doesn't want it to snow by us only in Michigan, since that is where he snowmobiles.

Where is everyone else.... must be busy with the holidays. Hope they are all doing well.

Morning Ladies,

I have not worked out all week due to a very bad cold. It is pretty good today, but the cough is really getting to me. I was home from work for a couple of days, and then busy at work when I did get back. :rolleyes: Just wanted to get on and let you all know that I'm still alive! :D I'm hoping to get some type of workout in this weekend, after I have cleaned the house of all the germs. Both DH and the youngest where also sick this week, so I really need to get the germs out for sure. ;)

WTG all of you on the workouts!

I will be back next week, promise! :)
 
Hi,

Today I ran 4.4 miles on the trails. Tough on the trails, I kept sinking in. Didn't feel like snowshoes, they are heavy and the trail is to skinny. I also did stretchmax, band work.

Laurie, glad you are feeling better. The cough that is going around is nasty. We do miss you when you are gone. Glad you will be back in action next week.

Brenda, glad you are getting in your workouts but being careful so you don't get injured.

Christmas play this Sun. My parents are coming up and bringing DD20 from college.

Man has this felt like a long week to me. This morning I did Athletic Training. I really like that workout.

Laurie - Glad you dropped in to let us know all was okay. Sorry that you and your family have been sick. Glad you are feeling better though. Looking forward to having you back next week. :)

Karen - It feels good to get to some of the intense workouts I love but by no means is my leg or side fully recovered. My side felt like it was until I did upper body tri-sets. Certain movements caught my attention. I will be very careful. Leg has been feeling better but again some movements just don't agree with it. :( Enjoy the Christmas play on Sun.
