Buff Badgers week of Aug. 29th

Hi all,

Today after work I did Amy Dixon's Breathless. If anyone can make it through that workout doing the advanced the whole time--WOW is all I can say. Dread factor on that one for me.

Sam, thanks for the review on GER 1000, I probably won't even try it. Glad your first day went well.

Laurie, glad you are getting a strong toned core. I just can't stick with any one thing long enough to know what works. I am all over the place.

Susan, fun workout that KPC. I didn't want to get up this am either.

Lala, have fun at school. Are you planning on running a 1/2 marathon like Susan? DD19 is right in Watertown about 4 1/2 hours from us.

Sue, I didn't notice any awkward moves in the KCM workout. You found some fun things at your rummages. How did the football game go?

Tonight is soccer for all three boys. Looks like rain. What's new around here?

Enjoy your evening.

Karen---Happy birthday!

Sam--maybe we can set a goal to hold our planks for so long and increase the seconds each week......Let me know. I will join you.....seriously. We are in this together!!

I did not workout today. My body felt tired---or could it be that I did high reps and STS body this week??????

Hi! Today was a 3+ mile run. I went out at 5ish and decided that will have to be my last early morning run...too dark. Guess I could wear a headlamp but the other problem I sometimes think about is creepy guys out there

Karen, am not sure about a half...I keep mulling it over and trying to find just the right one...a Disney Princess sounds nice, but training during the winter is not really my thing since I really don´t run inside.

Susan, did not know you are training for a 1/2. which one?

Sam, That workout sounds interesting. Is that Jeri? And you don´t have school tomorrow? Lucky;)

Laurie, You WERE busy...able to get a workout in on the same day DD goes off to school!!

Heartymax, you have been doing lots of tough workouts: you deserve a break!

Have a great weekend. It is fair time here!

Morning Ladies,

Ripped in 30 Week 3 and Yoga Meltdown 2. I think this combo is really good. ;) This is the LAST weekend of faire, and I'm soooooo happy!

Sam, Sounds like a workout that I would hate, but do give it another try. Sometimes workouts just don't work the first time around. :) Doing these Jillian workouts I am doing core work everyday. In a way it is a lot like the S90 workouts.

Karen, Dread factor on that workout, that is something that I was afraid of. Probably why I didn't go and order it, even though it looked interesting. I have enough workouts that have dread (Insanity month 2! ;)).

heartymax, Oh I had that same tired feeling this morning, but went forth and worked out. :D I knew that this weekend was going to be tough, so I probably wouldn't be getting workouts in. ;)

Lala, Guess our dd needs a fan! Those dorms have no ac, and it is really humid right now. One of those things that we forgot to pack. Understand about being to dark, Cami and I are always walking in the dark mornings. We don't have the creep factor where we live. ;)

Have a great weekend!

Hello! Well, after all the talk about Jillian's No More Trouble Zones, I decided to do that one this morning. My shoulders get so sore from that workout!:(

Laurie, enjoy the last weekend of the Faire! Looks like it'll be cooler for you as well!:D

Lala, right now I am training for my own personal half.;) I have no actual race in mind yet. I personally love running super early, but what is nice about living in such a small town is the police are always out when I am , and everyone looks out for each other. There are about 3 sets of runners out at 4:45 like me...

Karen, how did the soccer games go? Hope the rain held off!

Hi Heartymax!

Hi Sam! Yes, both of my kids are not morning people like myself so this time of day can be challenging!

No big plans for the weekend. Need to organize some things, and do yard work...

Enjoy ladies! Susan

Good Morning,

Today I did PUB, Ab Ripper X and a mile run with the dog and DD8.

Susan, everyone seems to be on a Jillian kick. No rain for the soccer games and DS13 team won and DS15 team lost.

Laurie, enjoy your last weekend at the faire. Insanity month 2 is what I would compare the Breathless workout too except she doesn't stop or get tired.

Lala, have you been doing much rollerblading this year? There is one Ashland in October sometime and one in Barron on the 17 of Sept. probably not fun ones like you are looking for.

Heartymax, you did work yourself out well this week. Glad you can listen to your body and take a rest day.

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes.

Have a wonderful day.

Happy Friday everyone! I'm not sure how many of you get back to read Friday afternoon posts, so I won't blabber quite as much as normal :D

I did the HIS only premix on 4DS yesterday. I think that's officially my favorite step workout. So. much. fun. Also did my planks and scapular retractions like a good girl. I can hold a front plank for 1:15 now, and side planks for 45 seconds each.

Heartymax, I'd like to get to 90 seconds next week for front planks, and up to a minute for side planks. I think you deserved a rest day!

Laurie- I'm sure I'll give it another shot. I've had other videos that I hated the first time around and ended up loving them. I should also try some of those S90 workouts, maybe I'll do Core Dynamics or Ultimate Ball today.

Today I plan to do the original Get Ripped, Turbo Jam 20 Minute Burn and possibly a core workout. Hello to everyone else, and have a great holiday weekend!

Laurie - I'm glad things went smoothly with the move in. So a mixed floor with guys and girls? How does that work with the bathroom situation? I'm sure they've remodeled and changed things around quite a bit but we had 1 bathroom per floor. What are you going to do with your weekends once Faire is over?

Lala - We have 1 spot on my route which is creepy simply because there's a park and a big pine tree and I imagine someone hiding behind it. I jog by that spot a little quicker. :)

Karen - I tried an Amy Dixon workout on Exercise TV and liked her but heard Breathless was tough. No thanks. I get breathless doing easier stuff than hers I'm sure. :p

Sam - I'm here! HIS is one of my faves, too. Maybe I'll do that one this weekend.

Susan - Good luck training for your half! Have you ever run that far before? I actually like running before anyone else is out.

Heartymax - Sounds like your body needs rest so enjoy your rest and hit it hard again next week! :)

I did KCM's TLC Boxing workout last night. DS' football team lost 17-6 yesterday. Our guys were falling like flies out there with injuries. DS is okay but we lost our star running back and quarterback and 2 others early in the game. Hope they are better next week. DH said their defensive line was really good.

Relaxing weekend planned so hopefully I'll get some good workouts in. My Biggest Loser weigh in is in 4 weeks and I'm up 2 pounds from what I weighed out at last time. I'm still down 8 since earlier this year so I should be grateful for that. I know I can lose these 2 plus more if I control my nighttime and weekend eating and stay busy with projects.

I really need to organize my dvd storage so that's 1 thing on my list for this weekend. Part of that is getting rid of stuff I never use. I have 2 Tracey Staehle's if anyone is interested. One is Walking Stronger but I can't remember the name of the other one (Cardio Sweatfest maybe?) I thought Walking Stronger would be a good alternative to Leslie because 1 of the background exercisers uses the floor the whole time but really this workout would be better if I had a treadmill (which I don't). If anyone is interested in these, let me know. I'll confirm the name of the other Tracey and get back to you guys.
