Buff Badgers Week of April 30th

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I missed yesterday. At lunch time I decided to sit outside in the warmth instead of eating my lunch at my desk. Last night I decided to go and work in my flower beds instead of going on the computer.

The last two days were X-Factor. Tomorrow is cardio so I'll have to decide what I want to do.

Susan - that is a bummer that water got into your basement. I know exactly what you mean though. That happened to us one year but it came through on the side where I had all my workout stuff. I was not happy.

Sue - how do you like the Biggest Loser workouts? Do you have others? I had often looked at them haven't purchased yet.

Sam - I hope you are feeling better that you back to the workouts.

Laurie - I agree with you on the floorwork in GS legs. I'm not a fan of that portion either. Never previewed Susan Chung's Rapid Fire Shadow boxing... is it a fun/good workout?

Hi Heartymax - love athlectic step.

Need to finish my lunch and get back to work.... we're preparing to implement a new ERP system the beginning of June and I'm heavily involved in the implemtation and I'll be so glad when it's over with. Work has been very stressful for a long long time. I take each day as it comes and deal with it the best that I can.

Everyone have a great afternoon and stay dry from the rain!

Brenda

Quick checkin before I head home. I did 10PSDX Lower Body Recovery workout this morning. Don't know why they call it "recovery". It's pretty tough to me! It's only 20 min. so I guess that's why.

Brenda - The BL workouts are okay but not great. I have BL Cardio Max, Bootcamp, Weight Loss Yoga and Last Chance Workout. I don't like Jillian on these as much as I like her on her own workouts (No More Trouble Zones, Shred). I do BL Cardio Max Beginner Level (more intermediate than beginner) the most because it gives me a really time efficient 20 min. cardio.

What ERP system are you implementing? We tried to do SAP in 2008-2009 but gave up because it cost tons of money and we were nowhere close. Then with the economy we just couldn't afford it. Plus we were sueing our implementer. Major stressful time in my life. Now we're looking at ERP systems again. Hopefully we've learned a few lessons.

Susan - So sorry you had to give up valueable workout time to clean a flooded basement. I get annoyed if I have to unclog a toilet in the morning! Is the elliptical okay?

Sam - Hope you got that workout in. ;)

Susan--we have had some plumbing problems lately and it is so frustrated. Some water got on the carpet just the other day from the bathroom issue in the basement. Hubby decided to snake almost more areas throughout the house this time. Then he had to clean the carpet. He put down some carpet freshner----I think he put to much because the smell is driving me crazy when I go down to workout. We do not have a walk out basement so there are no windows to open to get some fresh air. Well---one on the back door so maybe if the weather is nice and we are home all day tomorrow---I will open it up to air out.

Brenda---I was in a funk yesterday. I usually bring my lunch everyday. Anyway, I just felt the need to get out of the building and get some fresh air. I didn' eat my lunch outside, but it was nice to walk to my van, drive to Wendy's :D and enjoy having the windows down and come back and eat and single burger, fries and sprite. YES!!! I did that!

Sam---this hasn't been the best workout week for me either. I didn't workout yesterday and I took a day off earlier this week too.

Laurie---I have GS Legs up for this weekend.

Sue---Don't you just hate it when workout titles are misleading:D

This morning was GS Chest and Triceps. My chest is just fried after those push ups. Some times I pushed out 8 or 10 chest presses instead of 12. I added on a premix of Low Impact Step Challenge for a 30 minute cardio workout since I have skipped two workouts this week. I know I needed to squeeze in some cardio.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning and Happy Friday!!!

I did Cardio and Weights last night. Love, love, love. In an effort to lift heavier, I attempted to at least try to match Cathe's weights. Something that usually doesn't even enter my mind. I manage on shoulders and back to use the same weight as her, and I even managed to match her for a set in triceps, but that woman completely kicks my tail in biceps and chest. I cannot believe after pre-exhausting her biceps with 8-pound hammer curls (and stationary lunges), which I managed to acheive, she goes and picks up 12's for the next two sets. Nuh-uh. I had to stick to eights.

Susan- Our basement gets wet in the spring storms as well. We've even had some gross flooding from the lovely Milwaukee deep tunnel system. I spent a couple weeks two summers ago with bleach and a bucket. We've stayed dry so far this year, but I'm not depending on it staying this way.

Heartymax- I had Wendy's yesterday too! A junior cheeseburger and five-piece nugget. I love Wendy's, and didn't feel guilty at all :D

Sue- I'll be honest, for me a recovery workout is chilling on the couch with a glass of wine ;)

Brenda- That sun exposure is great for your mood. Sometimes when I'm not even on for recess duty I'll make myself go out just to get over the blahs. I'm sorry work's been so stressful for you. I hope things get better soon.

Laurie- You're probably posting as I type. You're such an enabler. I always want to buy the workouts you're doing :p

I got my new Cathes in the mail and can't wait to do them, particularly PUB. It looks awesome! Today will be quick cardio because DH invited his mom over for dinner, so I have to make my house look like it's always clean. :D

My brother's running a marathon in Kenosha tomorrow morning so he can get a qualifying time for Boston next year. The nice thing about him having to drop out of Boston is that I can go see him tomorrow. I'm really excited!

Have a great weekend!

Afternoon Ladies,

Finally up and running. Took almost all day to get this office in order, it sure does look nice though. I'm super happy! :D This morning was GS Back, Shoulders & Biceps.

Brenda, That is the only portion of Susan Chungs workout that I have tried so far, but I really do like it. She adds in a little bit of cardio between each of the three rounds. The boxing rounds are easy to pick up.

Susan, Sorry to hear about the basement, the rain sure came down yesterday.

Sue, I love all those 10PSD workouts, just 20 min. and they give you a great workout.

heartymax, I hope that you have more fun with the leg workout than I did. :D I love the standing work, but that floorwork is awful.

Sam, I love it when I'm able to match the weight that Cathe lifts. PUB is fun! Hope you have a chance to do that workout.

Have a wonderful day!

TGIF!!!

I had off on Monday and it still felt like a really long week. This morning was cardio and you guys got me in a kickboxing mood so I did Kick,Punch, and Crunch without the crunch part since I've been doing abs in X-Factor.

Sue - the ERP system that we are changing to is Microsoft Dynamics AX. I work for a plastic injection molding company and we have an IS Dept that has written a lot of home grown programs and AX gave us the flexibility that we were looking for to do what we wanted to do but yet have a base foundation to function. We implement 3 of our companies the first weekend in June. Then in August we implement our facility in Mexico and then the end of Sept we have our physical year end inventory and will be implementing our facility in Ireland. My boss will be doing the traveling to Mexico and Ireland while I try to hold the fort down in Germantown. I'll be glad when the initial conversion in June is done with. We still have tons of stuff we'll need to do to get us where we want to be but at least our people will be able to do their daily tasks.

Heartymax - I agree it's always nice and makes a person feel better when we can get away from work even for a little bit. Glad you enjoyed your Wendy's lunch. You are on a roll with GS. Those are tough workouts.. way to go!!

Sam - I have cardio & weights but have never done it in it's entirety, only parts of it. I love PUB. I think you'll really enjoy your new workouts. I hope your brother does well in the race in Kenosha this weekend. Hope your enjoying a nice dinner with DH's mom.

Laurie - I bet it felt nice to have a clean office. Maybe you'll give me the incentive to clean our office. Maybe if the weather doesn't cooperate and I can't do my outside work, maybe I'll work on that.

Everyone have a fabulous weekend!!
Brenda

Brenda - I work in Menomonee Falls and we just built a new plant in Germantown. Small world, huh? Good luck with your implementations. As much work as you do to prepare it seems there's always something that pops up. Have a great weekend!

I did Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout last night. This is maybe the 2nd time I've ever done it. Not bad. Going heavier with the weights made a definite difference.
