Karen, hope you are all feeling better. Was the homecoming dance this past weekend too? Somehow I got convinced to chaparone our HC :confused:

Sue, my brother and SIL live in Atlanta. They love it there. Nice to have a hotel where you can still get your workouts in, and yea, stay out of trouble:D

Laurie, I see that you do a lot of running, that must be where DD gets her abilities from!

Susan, that awful cold :mad: Hope it´s gone by now. My DH has been in bed almost all weekend with a cold. It has really wiped him out. I had it earlier this month and hope that was it.

Dani, How was the race? Although you don´t run anymore I´m sure you did great.

Good Morning,

Didn't do anything over the weekend. Now I have an earache. I don't recall ever having such a bad cold, lasting so long. Today I will try to spin and do abs.

DH got a 250 pound bear yesterday. I guess it charged him. He had a blast. I didn't get all the details because he got home late.

DD's had a good time at Fall Formal.

Sue, have a good time and enjoy your time alone with all the exercise equiptment at the hotel. Good job on the clean eating. DD will be just fine, and you are right she is just a phone call away.

Lala, how did you get talked into chaparoning the dance? Have fun with GS they are some of my favorite workouts.

Susan, hope you are feeling well. Is DH back yet? How did the Sunday school class go by yourself?

Laurie, hope you had a great weekend. Did DD have a meet? I can't remember.

Dani, did you enjoy your race this weekend? Glad you were able to do it for a good cause.

Morning BB's,

Today I ran for 2 miles and did the weight work from BBS Timesaver #1. This was Chest and Triceps. The push-ups in this one are killers. :eek:

DD15 did great in her race, even though it was terrible hot! :confused: She came in 15th with a time of 16:14. Not a pr, but I attribute that one to the heat. :) Her next race is on Thursday, so I'm taking a half day of vacation to help out since it is a home meet.

Had fun shopping with my friends. There are some cute and just awful bridesmaids dresses out there! :eek: They really have not improved to much! :) But DD15 made most of those dresses look pretty good! Didn't find a dress for the wedding yet, but I'm heading out again on Sunday to look.

Lala, If my DH had been more athletic, I think he would have been good at ice skating. But his parents never encouraged him in any type of sport. :( I have just found that running is the best form of cardio for me. The step has given me problems with my knee, so I stick to KB and running. :)

Karen, Dang on that cold staying with you so long. Can't imagine how a charging bear is considered fun! LOL :D But congrats to your DH on getting the bear. Glad your DD had fun at the dance, was she really tired yesterday because of all the dancing?

Susan, How did Sunday School go for you yesterday with all those children, and no helpers?

Dani, How was the race yesterday? The temperature sure did change from Saturday to Sunday! :rolleyes:

Hi, guys! I'm heading out in about 10 minutes for Atlanta but wanted to say hi and wish everyone a good week. DS' football won again on Saturday 7-0. Other team almost scored at the end so a real nail biter.

Hello Ladies,

The run was good. I think I finished it in about 30 minutes which I can't complain since I haven't run for about 2 years. This is my recovery week so yesterday was Yoga and today is core syn. I can tell you my shins hurt and also my hip flexors. I can tell I don't run. I am at work so gotta go but wanted to check in.

I forgot to check in yesterday! :confused: Busy, busy! My weekend went well. Saturday I went for a 50mn walk and then did Bootcamp. Sunday I was just plain lazy and did some stretching. Yesterday was one of those days you try to squeeze it all in and well, my workout did not get squeezed in! :( BUT, today I plan on getting on the elliptical for 40mn and do a 20mn Max. Burn Pilates workout.

The past few times I have worked my legs my knee has been acting up. Whenever I do squats, lunges or whatever, I get a pain in the upper left corner of my left knee. It doesn't really bother me when I do anything else. Sometimes I'll feel a little pain when bending... Hope it goes away!!

The kids were great at Sunday School. I actually had 2 new children come for a total of 28. They behaved. They were chatty but good! They are too cute!!

My cold is gone! Karen, I hope you feel better soon!

Today I will try spinning again. I ended up doing BM2 bootcamp premix yesterday.

Sorry I wasn't able to post yesterday, I was busy getting ready for DD6 birthday party. She was also home sick with a fever. She has been getting quite a few lately. She was coughing up yellow stuff this morning. She was VIP at school for her birthday so I sent her anyway.

DH is still not talking to me. It makes for some long days although he is not home much anyway.

Laurie, congrats to DD. I didn't realize it was so hot by you guys that day. Hope you find a dress this weekend. Glad you enjoyed shopping with your friends.

Susan, It's good to hear SS class went well. That's a lot of kids to try to teach to. Bummer about your knee. I had problems with mine doing those same kinds of exercises a while ago. I went to the chiro and he did traction on my knee and walaa! Hope it gets better fast and I am glad you are feeling better.

Dani, sorry about the shin splints but not a bad time, especially for not running in a while.

lala, hope you are keeping those kids in line. Are you and DD still inline skating a lot?

Sue, are you getting some good workouts in?

Hi!:) Chilly but sunny morning today! Walked Ruby for 30mn and after work I will be getting on the elliptical again and then haven't decided!:p
DH is putting up our new doors in the basement. There are 3 of them and he has his saw horses up and needs to trim off the doors a bit and stain and varnish them (they're solid oak). SO, he has this right in the middle of my exercise area which leaves me only the elliptical for my cardio and a small spot for strength training.:mad: He's hunting every evening after work. He says he will have it out of my way by Sunday. We'll see. He leaves for a Wyoming Elk trip next Friday... MEN! So I will make due the best I can until he moves his stuff out of my way! These doors are very heavy and hard to move !

Karen, sorry about your DD being sick. I have heard some people are getting these colds and they just won't go away...I hope DH comes around soon and starts talking.

Sorry I was not chatty yesterday, just a busy day when you are the only person in your department actually in the building. :rolleyes:

Yesterday I did Box-n-Flow with Kimberly Spreen (really like this workout), and BBS Timesaver #2 Back & Abs. Today was a 3 mile run, BBS Timesaver #3 Biceps and Ab Ripper. Did'nt want to do those pikes on the ball two days in a row. :p I like the Ab Ripper workout because it is only 6 min long, but you really feel like your abs have been worked good. :D

Susan, You got that right! It was a very chilly morning. I should have added a jacket to my sweats! :D LOL about our guys and leaving things laying around. But WTH! Not in the exercise area! :D LOL! Hope he gets all the trim up by Sunday, because you have DVD's to work out with! :) Wow! That is a lot of children, glad they where so good.

Karen, Do you have a b'day every month in your house? :D We always seemed to have b'days at our house like that. My sisters would start in May and it didn't end until Dec. :D Hope your DD starts feeling better soon. My DH had to go to the doc today, because his cough started sounding strange. :( Actually not strange, but irritating to everyone in the house! :D Even DH! :D Hope that husband of yours starts talking!

Dani, WTG on the run! I'm hoping to do that run next year, just didn't have the motivation this year to do it. How are you feeling today with the hip and shins?

Sue, Hope you are having a good time at training. Have you been using that hotel equipment to it's max! :D

Karen - Huh? DH is not talking to you? What's going on? Male PMS? (not to make light - just trying to get you to smile ;)) So far I've only used the treadmill. Maybe I'll do the elliptical tonight along with some upper body with the free weights. Hope DD6 feels better soon.

Susan - I hate it when DH's home remodeling projects take over my workout area - especially when he leaves a mess behind and doesn't vacuum my puzzle mats.

Laurie - I like Kimberly Spreen so maybe I'll try Box 'n Flow. I have some money left on a gift card and trying to decide what would best to get.

Class is going well. Instructor is really good but man does he go fast! No daydreaming or you'll miss something important for sure. Lots of nice people from all over in class. I must look like I know where I'm going because 2 people have asked me for directions since I've been here! Going to see DH's sister and her family tonight. After that I hope to workout tonight.

Hello Everyone,

Today was Kenpo and I had to do it by my lonesome. My DH is taking recovery week as really a week of not working out. :rolleyes: I on the other hand am not. But I think I picked a perfect time to do that run. My shins are a little sore still but not like before and my hips are ok. I have come to realize my hips are super tight and not flexible. Everytime we do the frog stretch it is hard. Both DH and I have signed up for the Jingle Bell run in Nov at the zoo. A long time ago I use to do alot of the local 5k's and 8k's. I had aspirations of doing a half marathon some day, then I just stopped running. I think I am just a person that needs variety of exercises or I get bored.

Karen I hope you are feeling better. I know noone enjoys being sick, and with your DH not talking to you how awful. I hope everything returns to normal soon. Also hope DD gets better soon too.

Susan, husbands and there toys. Today we bought a miter saw. I think mine is a tool junkie. :eek:

Sue glad to hear your class is going well. I hope you have warm weather there since it is sooooo cold here. I wish it was 75-80 all year round.

Laurie your day yesterday sounded like mine today. I had one person go home sick and I was all alone to play catch up. Doctors are not so nice when there stuff is not there on time. :( I hope you do the Race for the Cure next year, that is a fun race. I do it with a bunch of people and even my Dad. In the paper it said they raised over a million dollars. :cool:

DH hasn't even been in the basement the past few days so I find it highly unlikely he will be getting those doors out of my way like he said!:mad:

Today I did PUB and BM2 stability abs. I really need to get better workouts in, I've gained 3 pounds.

DD is home sick again. I actually picked her up yesterday afternoon after she threw up on the playground.

Sue, did you have a nice visit with your SIL? Glad you are enjoying the class even though he goes so fast. No time for sleeping in it anyway. Is DD doing fine at home?

Laurie, how did DH doctor appt. go? Hopefully he is well. Box n Flow must be an older workout of hers, I have not heard of it.

Susan, It is cold isn't it. I hope you get your workout space back soon. What is your DH hunting? Is he bow hunting? Another busy day for you. Take care.

Karen, I hope DD is on the mend! It's hard when those little ones get so sick! My DD sounds like she is coming down with laryngitis! Might be quiet around here for a little bit!;)

Well, I was busy today and a tad lazy! I probably could have squeezed in a workout but PMS has a way of making me very tired and ornery! So I skipped it!:( I have been stretching and moving just not too vigorously!

After work tomorrow I am meeting some girlfriends for a couple drinks. My goal is to wake up early enough to take Ruby for her walk and get on the elliptical for a tough 30mn HIIT!

Good Morning,

Today I will try for spinning to my beloved CC7.

DD6 had a party with family and friends on Sept. 30. She made most of the day on her birthday, Oct. 1 but I got a call saying she threw up on the playground. Yesterday I kept her home with a nasty cough and stomach ache. She went today-she looked a tad bit better.

Susan, hope you got your workout in today. I am sure you will have fun with your friends tonight after work. Hope DD doesn't loose her voice, we wouldn't want it to quiet around there.

Lala, always nice when you can get back to check in with us. No recipies for bear meat. I guess I'll just use it like ground beef. Sounds like you are gettin some good workouts in. What rotation are you following? What do you mean, you can't do all those workouts in one day?:)

Don't have a lot of time to post this morning, I'm leaving shortly for my yearly doctors appointment! YUCK!

My workout was BBS Timesaver #4.

DD15 shattered her pr yesterday with a time of 15:28, and she came in 5th. Her pr was 16:12. She was shocked that she did so well.

Sue, The Box-n-Flow is one of her shorter workouts, but I LOVE it! She has a really great cooldown/stretch in this one. How is your SIL doing, didn't she recently go through cemo?

Dani, I saw that they had raised that much, and was very happy. WTG on getting your workouts in, even though your DH has decided that recovery means doing nothing. :D :D :D

Karen, DH was given some drugs and sent on his way, but at least his coughing has been reduced. Yep the KS workout is one of her early ones, but it is a good one.

Susan, Have a great time tonight with your girlfriends. I always enjoy those times that we can get together. It amazes me how much we always need to catch up on. :)

Lala, Yep it was a got one on Saturday, but you wouldn't know it with the temps we have now! LOL!:eek:

Had a great time with the girls last night. I always laugh so much when I am with them! Good stress reliever! Today so far I took Ruby for a 60mn walk and I hope to do some more exercise later. Boy, was it chilly out! I had one of my winter coats on! Taking the kids to the cheap seats to see "Wall-e" today too. I don't have work on Monday since the kids don't have school so I am happy!!

DH is bow hunting to get his doe this weekend so I don't think he'll be in the basement doing that work he needs to get done! :mad: Then of course there is the Brewer game and the Packer game and Badger game to watch......Oh yeah, and NASCAR..... Man, oh man,...

Happy Saturday! Today was 4DS bootcamp. I think that is the hardest 30 minutes Cathe has created! Then I went on a bike ride with my SIL. What a beautiful day!

Karen, don't worry about those 3 lbs, with the way you work out they should be gone soon.
