Buff Badgers Week of 1/20

Hi Ladies! I had a good weekend. Saturday I did half of Supercuts and two short Blogilates workouts: a back workout and a butt workout. Both were very short and didn't use weights, but to be honest, I found them much harder than Supercuts. I must have very little muscle endurance. No wonder running is so difficult for me. Sunday was a rest day, and DH and I went for a spur-of-the-moment date night dinner with some Christmas money we got from his uncle. Delicious!

Today I did Jessica Smith's Kick Butt Kickboxing and Blogilates Beginner Total Body workout and the 100 Workout. They were hard because I'm still sore from last week's workouts

DH is off today, and he is currently having a little Father-Son time with DS at the Lego store and McDonald's. I'm enjoying a quiet house. Have a great day!

Saturday was Xtrain Legs and a few segments from HC Bootcamp. Sunday was rest and today was Cardio on the elliptical. I'm a little bit behind on the Xtrain 30 day rotation but im still hanging in there.

Sam---I think Super cuts is tough especially that fast paced sit up push ups at the end. A date night sounds like fun.

Hello,

I had a fun and productive weekend. DH was snowmobiling all weekend. Saturday I had met a friend for lunch and we visited for almost 3 hours. We had a blast catching up on things. Saturday night I went down to No No's and hung out there for a while and visited with the bartender and the waitresses.. that was fun too.

As for the workouts.. Saturday I did ROKO and the bonus bag. Sunday was my rest day. This morning I did FlexTrain.

I had to travel to our facility in Antioch today. Made for a really long day.

Sam - I like SuperCuts. Glad you were able to enjoy some quiet time. I always love date night with my DH. :)

Hearty - I agree.. that sit-up/push ups at the end of Super Cuts is tough but I also like the challenge. ;)

Have a great night and sleep tight!

It's a snow day. My boys are excited tgat this turned into a 4 day weekend. Today was Tabatacise. I did one round on 5 because I was just wiped out. Now I have completed 3 weeks of the xtrain 30 day rotation.

Hi!

This morning I did Hardstrikes and followed that with Tabata 2, 4, and 5 from Tabatacise. Those tabata's always kick my butt. I feel so accomplished though when I'm done because I made it through them. :)

Hearty - I wonder how many schools are going to have to make days up at the end of the school year due to the weather this winter. I don't know if you saw my posting from last week that I put the draft of my logo in my album on my profile. If you have a chance, I'd like you to check it out and let me know your thoughts. I like it but not crazy about the font but it kind of goes with the way the image is done. It just doesn't that wow factor for me. I'm on the fence about it. I need to figure this out though so I can get moving on my business cards.

I would love it if I could find someone that is artistic and is really good at coming up with ideas for something like this. Without having to pay an arm and a leg. ;) If you guys have someone you an refer me to, please let me know.

Hi Sam!

Make it a great day!
Brenda

Brenda---im sorry. I couldn't find it from my smartphone and didn't remember to look for it when I was on my desktop. I will check it later.

Good afternoon! Today I did Jessica Smith's Cardio Core Flow and two Blogilates Ab workouts, which I seem to be getting slightly better at. I can finally do a roll-up without my low back popping off the floor.

Brenda- I commented last Friday, but it was late. I said that I really like it, but I do agree about the font. I think something a bit "cleaner" would be more professional looking. I wish I could help with an alternative font to use, but I'm completely clueless about stuff like that.

Heartymax- I usually either skip that push-up/sit-up combo at the end of Supercuts, or I do only half the reps at my own pace.

Have a great day!

Brenda- I looked at the logo this morning. I like the wording, but some other options may be considered for the font style. You must be so excited about this new adventure:D. Keep us posted on your decisions with the logo.

This morning I did X10 FBC followed with the majority of Athletic Training. I've come to be very fond of that mix.

Sam - I did see you post from Friday. Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to check at this one printing place in my area to see if they can help me with it and maybe add some color to it and clean it up to make it look more professional.

Hearty - I'm very excited about this new adventure. I'm actually meeting with my new client this Saturday to do the fitness assessment. I'll keep you posted on my decision.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
Brenda

We are scheduled to return to school this morning on a 2 hour delay. Temps are still supposed to be way below freezing for the next two days so I am not sure when the ice will melt.

Today's workout was HC Bootcamp. That workout is very tough. I take breaks (with the DVD running:D) and just pick back up when I can. I modify and everything else. The great thing about being an avid exerciser, I can easily figure out ways to modify something. I did one round of the last two segments. Thought about doing Bi's and Tri's since I have extra time, but it ended up just being a thought.

Have a great day ladies!

Good Afternoon!

Today was my usual Thurs thing. AOLIH followed by Stretch Max.

Hearty - Once I get my workout area back, I'll have to try HC Bootcamp again. That definitely is one tough workout.

Last night I emailed the draft of my logo to a printing company that I dealt with before and told them what I was looking for so hopefully I'll hear back from them today with an idea of what it would cost.

Hi Sam!

Stay Warm!
Brenda

Hi ladies. No workout yesterday. I was in a real funk and couldn't make myself do it. I haven't worked out today yet, either. I'm not in as bad of a funk today, but I came on here for motivation. I'm working out most days now, but I'm still lacking motivation a lot of the time. Not sure what it is.

Heartymax- It is nice to be able to know what modifications to use, isn't it? I used to get so frustrated when I couldn't do a move as demonstrated, but now I just shrug and do what works for me.

Brenda- I love AOLIH. Especially the step section. I messed up the TV in the basement (and haven't fixed it yet....) otherwise I'd pull that one out for today. I miss step in general, but I'm also enjoying working out barefoot in the living room as well :)

Well, I think I'm going to take a break from Blogilates today and do Jessica Smith's Cardio Pilates... though I may add on one of the Blogilates workouts also. I can tell the Pilates has made a difference in my core strength already, so I guess there's some built in motivation to keep up with it.

Have a great day!

This morning I decided to do Slide-n-Glide. Not much for a calorie burner but I am starting to enjoy that workout.

We're getting close to my section of the basement being done. Yeah!!

Sam - With not being able to do step I've had to modify that portion, which is okay.. It works for me since I can't use my step right now.

Hearty - I'm getting closer to being able to get back to heavy weights.... can't wait.

Have a great weekend!
Brenda

Happy Friday!

I had a great workout today: Jessica Smith's 9 Minute Low Impact Hiit followed by her Awesome Arms and Abs workout. Both were perfect. I definitely felt worked, but not wiped. I haven't had much lower body this week, so I think I might try Great Glutes tomorrow since I haven't done that one yet (I can't believe I still have some Cathes from the last series that I haven't tried )

Brenda- I bet you really are itching to lift heavy again.

Hi Hearty!

Ok, I'm off to do some cleaning, bake something for DH and get things ready for dinner: fish fry with potato pancakes and veggies!

Have a great weekend!
