BUFF BADGERS Wed 2/8

Morning BB's,

Today is my rest day, because of swimming. I only have two more weeks of swimming left. Oldest DD is hoping to take diving and track this spring. :) Guess that is what I get for saying that they need to participate in some type of activity.

With this new car seat law, I am very happy my youngest DD turns 9 in March. Now, will I have to carry around her birth certificate so that I can prove that she is 9. And will the police have scales and tape measures to see if they fit the weight & height requirements. I don't know why they did this when a booster seat works just fine. My girls never liked the car seats, they never had enough padding. Feel sorry for any family that has more than two children to hawl around and has a car! I love Wisconsin government, can't you tell!!!

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good morning,

I got up really early today and went for a run at the gym. I didn't sleep well; after my trig exam and all my statistics work last night, I was dreaming about math. Yuck.

Laurie, I heard about the new car seat law on the radio yesterday. I can't imagine being told when I was 7 or 8 that I had to keep riding in a car seat... it would have been just one more thing for my older brother to tease me about ;) Gotta love politics.

Have a great day,

Ellen

Hi BB's,

Laurie - yay for a rest day. Sounds like you're going to be a busy chauffeur this spring for your DD, huh? It's great that she wants to be involved in sports. Yeah, this new car seat law - I don't know! My DS is almost 5, and in a booster seat now. Guess we won't be getting rid of that anytime soon. Really, the way his posture and stuff is in it most of the time (slouching, leaning over, etc), I'm not sure how protective it would be in a crash! :-( It's not a very comforting thought. The seats with the 5 point harnesses for little kids are much safer, I think, but no big kid wants to be strapped down like that!

Ellen - LOL @ dreaming about math! That would be a nightmare for me, not a dream. :D

Last night I did Meaner Legs. I have a print-out of all the exercises in that one (# of sets, etc) and that's really helped me get through this killer. I feel like I can pace myself better. But MAN those stationary lunges at the end really fry me. Those low-ends!! Eeeek.

Have a good day everyone! - Sarah

Last night on the radio was the 1st time I heard about the new car seat law. Guess I should watch the news more often. DS turns 9 in April and he weighs 84 pounds so surely they can't expect him to sit in a car seat! He has a lot of friends that are way smaller though so I guess I'll have to look into this new law and get the details. . .

And meanwhile we have idiots like Britney Spears driving around with a 4 month old baby in her lap!

Sarah - Those lunges at the end of LL are tough! Love the way this workout keeps moving.

Did KPC this morning. It's funny how I used to shun kickboxing because I'd get such terrible DOMS the next day but now I love it. (Still get the DOMS after CK but not as bad.)

Have a great day everyone!

Hi Ladies,
I overslept today so I did some Pilates. I have felt "off" all day for some reason. Yuck..

I heard about the car seat law yesterday and proceeded to tell my son about it. He's 6 and the other day at the Doctor he was weighed in at only 46 pounds! He's a peanut! He doesn't mind using his booster seat. He finds it more comfortable than with out. The seatbelt tends to go up on him when he is in a car w/o a booster. He told me he won't be upset using it. Now let's see what he says a year from now!!

My daughter is 9 and about 53 pounds. She's tall though so the seat belt fits across her better.

I will get up early tomorrow!! I have Pyramid Lower Body and CTX Kickbox written down.:)

Take care - Susan

Hi Everyone!

Don't know if the seatbelt law only applies to WI, but my kids are not going back in those things. My 9 yr. old is almost 5ft. tall and only 75 lbs. She would look ridiculous!

Planning on Kelly's TSOTTC. Haven't tried it yet. I think this will be good for a 9 p.m. workout. I need a lot of variety at that time. I will give you all my review tomorrow.

Good workouts everyone!

Cynthia
