BUFF BADGERS WED 10/5

Morning BB's,

Today will be Lowmax.

Sue, our trip went really well. I loved Magic Kingdom and want to go back, because I felt we didn't spend enough time there. We went down with my MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL & Niece. It was fun being with them, but we want to go back, just us. DH's father is disabled so there where advantages and disadvanteges to that one. Long lines where never a probelm with him along. Long lines where really never a problem anyway. We where on and off rides as soon as they ended. Which was really nice for the girls. I think they rode every roller coaster that they have at the parks. I even went on Mission Space. I usually can't handle rides like that. But I kept my eyes open at all times like they said, and I didn't get sick. So happy about that one.

The girls must have gotten about 15 autograph's. My oldes DD's loves Snow White and she was able to talk to her for a while. We didn't get to see Belle and the Beast, that was the other one she wanted. We had a picture of all of us with Goofy. Goofy took by arm and felt my bicep. Guess the muscle was noticable. }( He seemed impressed.

We spent 3 days at Disney's parks, one day at sea world (I didn't get wet;) ), and one day at Kennedy Space Center and Dayton International Speedway. The last day was for my DH. He insisted we where going to Kennedy and the speedway. I was all for the speedway, actually got to go on the racetrack.

Enough for today,

Laurie

Hi All,
Laurie - sounds like a nice trip!

Sue - 5 miles is a great run! DH just did the Lakefront marathon on Sunday and would love it if I would become a runner. Don't know if I could ever do it though. And if I started he would probably want me to join him in the runs he does which are way too long. I think 5 miles is a long run.

Cynthia - Are you liking AZ any better yet? Are you looking for a job down there or will you be able to not work?

Jill - are you missing again?

I fell Monday night - somehow tripped or lost my balance trying to slip off some shoes. So a little banged up this week and doing light cardio workouts. Happy to be doing anything and glad I didn't break anything. I am such a klutz!

Laurie -

Sounds like a great trip and you are so lucky about not having to wait in lines. We went down last Easter break, 1 of the busiest times of the year, and even with Fast Passes spent a considerable amount of time in lines. We'd like to go back again, too. Have never seen Kennedy so that'd be an excuse to go back, right? ;-)

Sue

Marie - I used to run a lot more when I was younger (and thinner) and always fantasized about doing a marathon but it's too much of a time commitment. I figure 5 miles at my 10 min. per mile pace is a good workout. Someday I'd like to train for a 10K or maybe half-marathon race but no farther.

Yes, where is Jill? Haven't heard from Robin in awhile either.

Today I did High Step Training Advanced and challenged myself by doing the cardio on an 8" step. (I usually do 6") It's not that much tougher but I do have to be careful so I don't trip. You're not the only klutz, Marie!;-)

The secretary at my DD's school called today to let me know she has 11 tardies already this quarter! We live 1/2 a block from school so she walks every day. DH leaves for work after both kids are out the door but she dawdles on the walk there and inside the school unpacking her stuff and going to her classroom. Argh! She's a smart girl but has no sense of time. Someone remind me again why I decided to have kids. LOL

Hello,

Laurie, I'm glad you had fun at Disney. My family and I took a super-fast trip down there in August and had tons of fun, and we're all adults :) We wished we could have stayed longer. I love that Goofy was impressed by your biceps!

Today I did Kick Max, all but the leg conditioning drills, and S&H chest and back. I want to spend some extra time this weekend doing some yoga or other stretching; I don't do that enough.

I hope Jill's okay too!

Take care everybody,

Ellen

Hello BB
Today was KickMax kickbox drills

Laurie-I love Disney World. We go about every 2 years or so. I love it. Next you go you have to take your kids to a "character breakfast/lunch/dinner" This is when you eat and the chaacters come around to each table of pictures etc. My DS and niece just love it.
:)

Sue - Stepdaughter is 24 and still has no sense of time. Maybe when she makes it to the real world. If ever! She graduated from high school in 200 and might graduate in May 2007. She keeps changing her major. We stopped asking.

Today is my off day. My neck once in awhile feels a little stiff, and I get nervous and take the next day off. I really feel good and don't want to push it. Weights sometimes takes a toll on me.

Marie: It's getting a little better, though I get lonely once in awhile. I think working will help. I am going to be a reading aid at my kid's school and should start in a couple weeks. The principal said mid-October. The money isn't very good, not what I'm used to, but I think I will like doing something during the day. My kids are doing great and seem very happy. They have made some good friends.

It's cooling down here a little. Low 90's and 70's-60's at night. It's dry so 90 doesn't feel real hot (to me anyway).

Not sure what workout I will do tomorrow. But afterwards, I think I will jump in the pool and sit and read in the sun for a little bit. the pool is getting cool, so I figure after my workout it will feel good. :7

Take Care!

Cynthia
