Buff Badgers Tuesday

Hello everyone,

Hope your mornings have been good so far. I had a little trouble getting out of bed but did. It was IMAX for me today, the original. Forgot how tough that one is! It's amazing how your body seems to remember the workout once you start doing it even if it's been a few years since you last did it!

Supposed to be another scorcher today...but I think there is cooler temps on the way by later this week. Let's hope so!

Hello Fellow BB's,

Today is an easy day for me. Only a 5 mile runs scheduled. :)

Thea, I had done Imax last week after a long time sitting on the shelf. It was the first interval work out of Cathe's I had ever done, and am still amazed at how well this one works you out. It is fun to pull out some of those old ones and give them a run through. I hope you are right on the weather changing later this week. I enjoy not dying on the weekends. x(

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good afternoon!

It was Lowmax for me this morning plus I added the abs from Muscle Endurance. I'm really enjoying sleeping in late this week and taking my time with my workouts. I'd do more if I didn't have the kids home with me. Gotta do some fun things with them, too. It's off to Skateland this afternoon. At least we'll be out of the heat.:p

Good afternoon all.

Thea-WTG on Imax in the morning. Ugh! I am looking forward to turning the AC off again. I am dreading seeing my next WE Energies bill!

Laurie-LOL at "only" 5 miles today. Sheesh!

Shake-have fun skating. More exercise for you!

My workout today is going to be Power Hour, but I have to wait until about 5:15pm. I am working at our sports boosters club table at high school registration until 5pm. I wanted to get it in earlier, but I spend the better part of my morning at the car dealership. Yuck! The handle on the back hatch door of my suv broke. And of course they are saying my extended warranty doesn't cover handles. WHAT good is an extended warranty then, and just what DOES "bumper to bumper" mean? My DBF is calling them for me at noon to see if he can get it covered. I don't normally depend on him for sticking up for me lol, but he was a mechanic for years and now is in the warranty service business for a major corporation, and knows what to say. Maybe he can get them to at least lower the cost-the stupid dealer said $423 to fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thea, yes I love to watch those cars go around the track. My fav drivers are Matt Kennseth and Carl Edwards. We have been to Charlotte, Bristol, and Phoenix. And we also go to the races when the Busch and Truck races are in Milwaukee. Just need more time and money to get to every track. :D

Hi ladies,

I was so bad this weekend at the boat... Back on track now though, and that is what counts. That and being better next weekend!!!

I did push pull today. was supposed to add on L&G but ran out of time. I have to work tonight, so I'm going to try to do my meal planning for the rest of the week.

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well! Tomorrow is rest day, but I'm going to do a workout sinced I missed yesterday... No rest for the wicked!

Take care all!

Amy

Laurie,

I am jealous you've been to Bristol! I really want to go there. I've only been to one Cup race, at Brooklyn MI last summer. It was a blast. Such a mixed crowd! My brother and I took my dad for Father's Day and he loved it. We are hoping to go to another race, probably next season. My dad is a Matt Kenseth fan. My brother, Dale Jarrett. I pull for Matt, also Jimmie Johnson and Ricky Rudd (my "old-timer"--my like for him goes back to Grandpa and uncles watching all these years). Actually, I like several drivers and like to see different winners each week. There are few that bug me though...

QUESTION FOR WAUKESHA AREA BBs:

Have any of you used a chimney sweep or dealt with any fireplace company that you would recommend or avoid? The house we bought has a gas fireplace but they boarded it up so we need to have someone come and check it out and not sure who to call.

Thanks.

Hi Marie. :) I'm interested in this, too. My house is 10 years old this winter and I've never had the (wood) fireplace swept!

No workout for me today, at least not yet. Sat at the car dealer all morning, then went to volunteer at school registration. I just finished eating dinner. Unless I find some motivation, it will be a rest day for me.

Well I had to come back and checkin cuz I did a workout. Yay me! I put my dinner in to the WW tracker and was one point over for the day. As my goal is to NOT use the flex points, I HAD to do something. I did the Firm's Jiggle Free Buns (I know-stupid stupid name lol), and earned 2 points. So I had one leftover.

My new blender and mixer arrived yesterday. I finally, after wanting it for 20 years, got a Kitchenaid Artisan stand mixer. It's so great! I haven't used it yet to make anything, but just seeing it work is impressive.

Also got a GOOD blender, Kitchenaid also, (threw out the one that was missing the cover and needed a plate held over the top lol). So DBF and I made some drinks last night. I had one banana daiquiri and one peach daiquiri (which could explain my weight "gain" this morning, although it was only 1 oz rum per drink).

I was going to make some WW peanut butter cookies tonight, but since I don't have enough points, I decided against it. Maybe tomorrow.
Have a good night ladies!

WW Peanut butter cookies? Tell me more.

Also wanted to bump this up in case anyone had any recs for fireplace shops/chimney cleaners in the Waukesha area. One I was looking at was American Fireplace since their ad states they service gas fireplaces. Too hot now but it won't be long and we will be thinking about wanting to use it.

Bad exercise week although I did get up today. Also down .4 at my WW meeting. I have done fairly good with losing in August but don't want to count on anything since it has been such a struggle. Weeks I think I have done good I have gained and overall seem to be stuck in a permanent plateau.
