Good morning everyone,

It was MM for me this am. My arms were shakin'!! Ankle felt ok doing this one. Overall, it is much better! :) I plan on doing a walking workout tomorrow.

Wow, my thoughts mainly go with those in Hurricane Katrina's path today. Sounds like it is not hitting New Orleans directly and has been downgraded to a category 4, but will still be devastating. Let's all keep those people in our thoughts today.

Have a good day everyone,
Thea

Good morning everybody,

Thea, I'm glad your ankle is feeling better. Muscle Max is a tough one.

After work today, I'll be doing the intensity drills from Kick Max, then HSC. I start my class at MATC tomorrow evening, so I have to get back into morning workouts, which I've been letting slide. In the mornings I look at the clock, reset my alarm and figure I'll work out later. Sheesh.

Take care,
ellen

Hello BB's,

I have a few days left of the Aug05 rotation and I am going to take those work outs and change the days, so they work better for me. I am changing the GS workouts for PS series. So today will be PS Back & Biceps & PS Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps.

Thea, My thoughts and prayers are also with the residents of the New Orleans area also. Glad to hear your ankle is doing better.

Ellen, great work out today!

Have a great day!

Good afternoon!

Did Viper on Saturday, Cardio Kicks on Sunday, PLB today. We spent all afternoon at a picnic on Sunday and had a HUGE headache last night. Hope I'm not getting sick. . .

I've been checking the internet a lot this morning for Katrina updates. My prayers are definitely with the people in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Hi all,

Today is a firm workout for me. Tomorrow I think I am going to start the couch to 5K program. I ordered running shoes and I'm not sure if they will be here by tomorrow...so I'm wondering if I should wait until they arrive before I start. My thinking is that I'll do the c25K program as my cardio 3 days a week and then use the Firm and Cathe on alternating days for cardio and strength workouts. I may even add some extra cardio or abs to the C25K day because 30 minutes doesn't seem like enough to take off pounds.

Has anyone done the couch to 5K? I walked 5K in the Walk for Wishes this weekend - it was wonderful, and I want to run that next year and possibly some others too!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Amy

Laurie,

What do you think about the August rotation, now that you're almost finished with it? What were the hardest/easiest parts of it for you?

I'm only on the second week, so I'm wondering what's really in store for me. I'm still pretty sore today after the first three workouts of this week; I wonder if it will last. I've noticed that my hip flexors have been tired when trying to do knee lifts and things like that.

Take care,
ellen

Ellen, I found the hardest day was the 5am Fiesta, there was just no way for me to do the 800 sit ups that are in the rotation. Everything else was very doable. I took both Saturday and Sunday off on the rotation though. I'm not able to work out on faire days because I just don't want to get up that early in the morning to work out.

Laurie

Amy,

I have done the couch to 5k and liked it. I think it's doable. I usually added more cardio though, like additional walking or the elliptical. Good luck!

Good afternoon ladies!!

Sorry I forgot to check in again. Monday is my one day at the office and I'm soooo busy.

This weekend DBF and I went to Oshkosh for the DU event (Ducks Unlimited). He worked there and I shopped there! LOL. I had a great time----I didn't spend too much money, but went to Appleton and visited the Fox River Mall-OMG it's soooo huge! I also got to use the Y courtesy of the hotel. On Sat. I took a 65 step class and it was fun to be in a class again for a change of pace. On Sunday I did Cardio Coach Volume 5 on the elliptical-64 minutes, my new record! :) Then I did 25 minutes of upper body work with free weights. I was up only .5 this morning after the weekend, despite a lot of eating, so I'm happy I got all the exercise in! Might be taking a rest day today, though---my calves are VERY sore and I know it's from the cardio machine.

Amy-I, too, would like to start running more. I tore a page out of a magazine the other day that I think is similar to Couch-5. But the neuroma in my foot has been acting up, so I've had to lay off the treadmill for a bit. :(
