Morning BB's,

Today will be GS BSB, and a 30 min run. Will probably add on some Abs also. Oldest DD doesn't have swimming tonight, so I can take my time with my work out. Loved Kickmax last night. When doing the premix Kickbox/Bootcamp Challange I did marching instead of all the jumping jacks during the punching drills. Don't see why I would need to get the heart rate up when all I was doing where the leg drills afterwards. :)

We have Trick or Treat on Saturday night in our subdivision, so my DD's are all excited. I will have to decide what I would like to appear in. I'm thinking my Maleficent costume would be good. }(

Good morning,

I usually sleep in on Fridays and work out after work, but I was wide awake at 4:30 today for some strange reason. I went to bed at 9:30 last night; I was so tired by the end of the day. Anyway, since I was awake, I got up and did Kick Max and GS BSB. I've been really into kickboxing lately.

I was discouraged this morning when I got on the scale and found that my weight is going up. There are times when I can be casual about the numbers on the scale and not worry about it, but I think I've focused on it for so long, it's hard not to be hard on myself about it. I don't know if it's because I'm doing more weights or because I'm working out too much or what. Whatever it is, it's frustrating. I'm thinking that I might return to my summer schedule of mainly cardio and circuits instead of such focused weight lifting. I enjoy GS and S&H, but maybe I should do each body part only once a week instead of twice. Ugh. I've been watching my fat and calories too, but I don't like to focus on that too much because I've had tendencies to get too restrictive with food, and I don't want to get into that kind of cycle again. I don't want to get down on myself and think too much about my jeans being a little snug today. It's so hard to keep myself from making it a bigger deal than it is. Am I the only one who struggles with this stuff?

Anyway, TGIF! I've been ready for the weekend since Sunday night :)

Morning ladies!

Laurie, isn't it nice when you have extra time to devote to your workouts? Have fun with your trick or treating. We'll be at the Great Wolf Lodge. Guess I'd better put a "not home" sign on the door.

Ellen-4:30? Yikes! I slept in this morning, until 8am. No kids and no school, so I had a luxury. And no, you aren't the only one that struggles. I lost 35 pounds last year and no matter how small I got, it wasn't good enough. Someone just posted about that yesterday here on the OD board. Now I've gained back about 20 and am in the process of re-losing. This time I am trying very hard to have a more realistic goal (130, size 4/6) and be HAPPY when I get there and stop beating myself up and trying to lose more more more.

I have to go work the concession stand at high school for a couple of hours for a cheerleading competition. Then I'll be home around noon for my workout, which is Muscle Max today. It's taking awhile to regain my strength, but I know it doesn't come back overnight.

Then I have to get our stuff packed for the Lodge. And I promised a friend I'd meet her for a martini tonight-just ONE. I've had 4 days of perfectly clean eating and exercise and I don't want to blow it!

Our room a the lodge has a fridge, so I'm bringing plenty of good snacks along. I think after 4 days I'm over the sugar cravings, and am feeling good. I'm not even worried about the pizza and nachos at the concession stand!

Hi Everyone!

Went for a hike up Pinnacle Peak Mountain with a Wisconsin group this morning. What a workout! 2 miles (4 mi. roundtrip) mainly uphill on gravel/rocky torrain. But what a beautiful sight. Boy did my calves get tight! Guess I better not skip the calve work in PLB and L&G.:eek: I was definitely soaked and breathing hard when I got done. My 8 year old really hung in there. A tough Wisconsinite, never quits. Though she did feel sick for a little bit afterwards, she is a trooper. My 10 year old had boundless energy, but barely made it the last 1/2 mile. I didn't think they would make it past a mile! I was really proud. I doubt they will want to go back any time soon though.

So that was my workout. Tomorrow SIL comes in early morning and since I worked out all week, it's a rest day! We'll take in a movie and I'll show her around.(Yeah, like I can really show her around in the 3 months I've been here). But another hike is in order next week.
 
Sounds like a great workout Cynthia! It must be fun to have some WI people there. :)

I did Muscle Max! I couldn't do every rep but I finished. I wanted to quit halfway through but stuck it out. Yay me. I can't do a jacknife to save my life, though. I've never been able to do them--they really hurt my back. So I modify.

And I didn't eat a single bite of anything at the concession stand. I've had a good day.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend---Have fun trick or treating, those that will be going. They have stuff to do at the lodge like hayrides and haunted house and such. We should have fun!
