Good Morning,

Yesterday I went for a 2 mile run and a snowshoe walk. Today I did GS chest/triceps.

DS basketball team took 2nd in the tournament against the other Rice Lake team. It was a fun day. Tonight is another basketball game.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Hello there!:D
Well, that weekend went by a bit too fast! Saturday I did KenpoX for the 1st time and I really liked it! Sunday I spent the entire day at a Bball tournament so I just did some stretching. Today is the elliptical. I am going to do a "random" program. Those programs always tend to scare me cause I never know how hard it's going to be! Some of them have been brutal! Oh and I will have to shovel!

Karen, hope you enjoyed your run yesterday! You guys don't seem to be getting the snow that we are getting this winter! Your team did well in the tournament! Ours did not too as well! :(

Hope the rest of you ladies enjoyed the weekend!

Have a great day- Susan

Morning BB's,

Cardio Power & Restistance, CTX Chest and MIS Chest are finished for today. Sunday I took the dog on an hour long walk, and Saturday was Plyo Cardio Circuit, CTX/MIS Biceps & Triceps. DH was gone all weekend, so it was just me and the girls. He finally got home at around 10:30. I was asleep on the couch.

Karen, Sounds like a fun time in the snow. :D Sorry to hear about you getting your hours adjusted for next year. :( Congrats to your DS and the bball.

Susan, Kenpo is a great workout, and even better when you add weighted gloves. Hope that random program doesn't torture you to much. :D

Have a great day!

The weekend definitely went by too quickly. Didn't do BFBM Friday night like I was supposed to. No excuse - just lazy; did it Saturday instead. Sunday was NMTZ 1-4 + Shred 2. Today is supposed to be rest but I spent a half hour shoveling snow and worked up a sweat. Tomorrow is NMTZ + Shred #1. Still figuring out how I'm going to do this with Parent/Teacher Conferences tomorrow night. May have to get up at 4 a.m.! Have the same problem on Wednesday.

Susan - You are very brave to do a random program. I guess I'm too much of a control freak to try that. ;)

Laurie & Karen - I'm glad you're enjoying outdoor activities. Don't know what's wrong with me but I haven't felt like doing anything outdoors this winter. Just want it all to melt.

Happy Monday!

Hi! Yes, the weekend flew by! I spent all day (7:30-5:00) at the clinic getting tests done. at least I know my ticker is still ticking away!!

All the kids were home to celebrate DHs 50 bday (which is tomorrow). We enjoyed ourselves.
today there was a package on the porch and of course I figured it was a gift for DH, but it was a gift from him to me...Turbo Jam! I have always wanted to try it and now I can! do any of you have this? What do you think?

Sat. I did a short 2.5 mile run and STS 15. today was HiiT pyramid. Tough, but I love it!

We don´t have nearly the amount of snow that it sounds like some of you got.;)
Sue, shoveling IS a workout! good luck to you if you are really getting up at 4  My earliest is 4:45.

Laurie, sounds like a good weekend. Did you and your DDs do anything special? sometimes if my DH is gone, we watch movies and eat popcorn!

Karen, I didn´t know about the change in your hours...will have to go back and read that. You had a busy weekend, and sounds like a busy week.

Susan, how was the radom program? I have never done that, either. Should try it sometime.

Hi, I did Kickbox Surge today. I didn't really like the workout. I couldn't follow half of it anyway. I like Hi/Lo Knockout much better. Was suppose to do Insanity but I needed a change. I don't follow rotations well, even my own.

Lala, glad your ticker is still working. That is a long time for tests. Tell DH Happy Birthday from your Buff friends. I have Turbo Jam. It's been awhile since I've done it. I am not much of a dancer/aerobic type person. I prefer more athletic. She does have lots of spunk.

Sue, hope you are getting your workouts in with your busy schedule. Winter is cold. I know why you don't want to go out. You are already out shoveling a lot.

Laurie, are you liking Insanity? Will you do the whole rotation?

Susan, glad you are enjoying P90X. I am very thankful we are not getting snow like you guys have been getting.

Have a great day. DS Basketball team won last night. They are leading their division.:)

Morning BB's,

Pure Cardio and CTX/MIS Back is finished. Was able to get through the whole 10 min. warm up without having to stop. Had to stop when I got to those standing mountain climbers. One minute of those is really tough to do.

Sue, I have been getting really frustrated with having to get all the winter weather gear on just to walk the dog. I'm ready for the spring jacket. :D Are you on your last week of this Jillian rotation?

Lala, Tell you DH happy birthday. Mine turns 50 in June. Still have not decided what or if we will have a big or little party. Glad your ticker is functioning as per normal. :D I tried Turbo Jam, but I'm not a dancey type person so I gave them to a friend of mine. She loves them. The DD's and I went shopping & watched movies all weekend. :D Did you find that disc that went missing? I'm hoping it showed up. ;)

Karen, Yep I'm going to do the whole rotation. I find I have been doing much better when I stick to a rotation vs. changing it up. This way I'm giving the rotation a chance, and causing myself to be consistant. Congrats to your DS, glad they are doing so well. Is he in High School?

Have a great day!

Lala - I have Turbo Jam and enjoy it. It's fun to do and the music is good. It feels like I'm not working very hard and then I check my HRM and see I've burned a ton of calories so that's always good. :D

Laurie - Yep, I'm on the last week of Jiliian. 3 more days to go! :D I give this rotation a thumbs up but am looking forward to doing different workouts. You are doing a great job with Insanity. A minute of standing mountain climbers is killer. I can barely do 30 seconds or however long they are in BFBM.

Karen - I usually can't stick to rotations either which is why it's amazing I stuck to the Jillian one. I should follow more rotations though because they force me to work harder than I normally would.

Well, I got up at 4:15 instead of 4. Couldn't bring myself to set the alarm clock that early. I finished NMTZ and Shred #1 and still made it to work on time. It's amazing how quick you can shower and get ready when you have to! Tomorrow is BFBM + QTZ and this time I will have to do QTZ instead of NMTZ 1-4 to fit it in. DS has Jazz Band so we need to leave the house earlier than my normal time.

Today was STS back/bis. I´ve found that I like following rotations simply because I don´t have to think about what workout to do!

And YES, I did find my disk...it was stuck in the player. DH got it out for me!

Sue...you are amazing getting up at 4:15:eek::eek: Were you pooped out by 8 pm?!

Karen, congrats to DS and his team!

Laurie, just picturing standing mountain climbers makes me tired :D

DH sends his thanks for all the bday wishes!! Laurie, mine didn´t want me to plan a big party because I am such a bad planner...NO JOKE :) Which was just as well, because I honestly don´t know where to start! So I got him a promise of Packers tickets...hope I can keep it!

Good Morning,

Today i did GS back/bi/shoulders.

Lala, glad you found your dvd.

Laurie, how long are the CTX/MIS backwork? DS is 12 and is in 6th grade.

Sue, good for you getting up early to get your workout in. I think I am doing well at getting up at 4:45. Glad you are enjoying your rotation.

Hi Susan and Cheryl.

Have a wonderful day.

Morning BB's,

Plyo Cardio Circuit, CTX/MIS Shoulders are all finished. My shoulders are talking to me right now. The last part of PCC is all plank cardio, so it does really fatigue the shoulders. Had to go lighter on the weights. ;)

Sue, WTG on getting this rotation finished. I think you are right, you do push yourself harder.

Lala, I want to thank you for giving me an idea for DH's 50th bday. I'm going to check out tickets to the Chicago Nascar Race. I think he would love to go see that race in person. ;) Guess I would have to tag along too. ;) The standing mountain climbers are actually harder than the ones on the floor, because you move your legs and arms at the same time.

Karen, The CTX/MIS Back Combo is 17.5 min. total. Most of the body part combos are between 16-18 min. I think that the triceps are a little longer. Bet the team that your DS is on will be very good once they get into HS. ;)

Have a great day!

Lala - Let's put it this way. . . I went to bed around 9 and had no trouble falling asleep! ;)

Karen - You're doing great getting up at 4:45. :) Some days are easier than others aren't they?

Laurie - I timed the mountain climbers in BFBM this morning and both times it was less than 30 seconds. I can do the 30 seconds now (at first I couldn't) but a MINUTE of these would be killer!

Lala & Laurie - My DH turns 50 this year, too. Guess I better get going on ideas because I don't have any right now.

This morning was BFBM. I didn't have enough time for QTZ despite getting up at 4:20. :( DS and I had to leave the house even earlier to pickup a kid who needed a ride. Parent/Teacher conferences again tonight but I will try to do QTZ. It'll depend how stressed out I am after conferences! My kids are smart and get good grades but they have issues with late/missing assignments. DH doesn't monitor their homework like I do so the burden of being the nagging parent falls on me (and all the drama that comes with it).

A quick check in before bed! Today was MMBoxing. That workout is just OK. I enjoy it, but it really is only intermediate in intensity. But it's good for a quick workout.

Overbooked myself today...movie night for Spanish Honor Society and a Bible study at my house right after

Glad I could help with the birthday ideas :):) Am glad that's done for a few years!!

Hi,

Today I did Pure Cardio.

Lala, hope you had fun at your Bible study. I tend to like kickoxing more than just boxing alone.

Sue, nag, nag, nag. It sounds so much like you. Glad the kids are getting good grades. It is getting easier to get up each morning. Today I even reset the alarm and wasn't going to get up but laid there for 5 min. and got up anyway.:D

Laurie, can you make it through all the PCC plank cardio? These teams will change. This league is just through the city. Next year he will play on the school team, travelers and city league.

We have conferences tonight for the HS. They are all actually doing well this quarter.:)

Have a great day.

Morning BB's,

Cardio Recovery and CTX/MIS Biceps is finished.

Sue, My DD's do the same thing, and my oldest is getting the highest grades in math, but she sometimes doesn't hand in her homework. My youngest gets stuck on something, and then doesn't hand it in either. I am really frustrated with this, and don't understand why they do it. Nag Nag Nag is what I feel I'm doing.

Lala, The MMA Boxing needs weighted gloves to up the intensity. That is what I did, and really got a good workout out of it. Glad you where able to get all you appointments handled thought. ;)

Karen, Nope I have to take a break to relieve the shoulders during PCC. Usually in the second round, durning the side to sides.

Have a great day!

Hello all,

Where has the week gone?!!!? Super short post today...
Sat. - Get Ripped 1000
Sun - MMA Kickbox
Mon - Rest
Tues - Shock Cardio Step Moves
Wed - Rest
Thur (today) - Pyramid Upper Body

Our household has been sick this week. DD has a cold/cough. DH and I were sick with stomach flu Tues. night and really blah all day yesterday.

Today we are all back to normal and life will resume as usual. Hopefully I will have more time to post tomorrow. Until then....

Cheryl

Karen - I sometimes put my glasses on and lie there with my eyes shut for a few seconds. I know I can't fall asleep comfortably with my glasses on so it helps me transition out of bed. :)

Laurie - The way the teachers talked it sounded like DD was the only one not doing her homework. She might be worse than others but it is somewhat comfroting to know that my kids aren't the only ones. Sounds like you use your weighted gloves a lot. ;) I'm going to have to add these to my wishlist. I tried a homemade version of these once and it didn't work so well.

Cheryl - We've been lucky with the flu (knock on wood). Nothing has hit us since last fall.

Parent/Teacher Conferences went well last night so I wasn't too stressed out. ;) Did QTZ last night and this morning did Shred #2 + Shred #1. My shoulders are officially fried! I can see why Laurie said she got good shoulder definition from this rotation. I couldn't even do all the shoulder presses in Shred #1 this morning with my 8s. They are definitely worked to fatigue. Tomorrow is my last day of the rotation! Yeah!! Haven't weighed myself in a week and a half so don't know what the scale says but I definitely feel more toned.

Woo Hoo!!! Now am able to get to this site at work...previously it was flagged as PORN :eek: Ok, which one of you....;) so finally emailed the adminstrator and can catch up while I wait for DD to pick me up!

Laurie, next time will do mmboxing with weighted gloves.

Today was an STS legs...I do like those. This was the tri set.
Tomorrow STS chest, tris, shoulders, although I think I´ll do shoulders tonight so the workout isn´t too long tomorrow.

Off to northern MN to visit my SIL and BIL.

Karen, glad the conferences will go well!
Cheryl, hope you all get better. I have had a number of students out for days at a time:(

Hi Sue and Susan, have a great weekend!

I'm Back! Boy, what a crazy week! By the time I had a chance to go on the computer, I didn't really want to!

Let's see what have I done? I did not like the random program on my elliptical! It was like at the highest peak 90% of the time! Then I did a bonus workout from the P90x, it's from the original P90 program called Upper-Middle-Lower, then I finally did Plyometrics in its entirety! This was the first time I had attempted it since tearing my calf muscle. I was so happy to be able to do it! Whenever they took a short break, I stretched out my calf! Today is legs/back and ab ripper. Saturday is Kenpo.

My weekend will fly by again, I'm sure! My daughter is in Solo Ensemble for choir and band tomorrow. She is singing a duet and then playing a song from band with 2 of her friends. We'll be gone from 8-4 tomorrow! Sunday looks quiet, for now!

Glad to see you are all doing well! Have a great weekend!

Susan

Morning BB's,

This morning was Cardio Power & Resistance and CTX/MIS Triceps.

Cheryl, That sickness has been going around, sorry to hear that it had to hit your house. Way to keep up with the workouts though.

Sue, I like the weighted gloves that came with the 10 min. Solutions Kickbox workout. Those are just under a pound, and I also have some 1 pounders. Having them on really works your shoulders, but I don't think that you want to attempt that right now with all the JM workouts you have been doing. ;) I couldn't even attempt to lift 8lb, so I just stuck with the 5's.

Hey Susan we must have posted at the same time. Glad to see that you where able to get PlyoX in.

Lala, I'm sure it was me. Cathe's site flagged as porn! :D Have a great time on your visit.

No huge plans for this weekend, will be doing Pure Cardio & my first time with Cardio Abs tomorrow. Sunday is my rest day, and will be watching the Nascar race. Oldest DD has a new "boy" friend, that she says they are not dating. Just hanging out. Guess they are hanging out tonight. Youngest DD is going with a friend on Sunday afternoon to some church party.

Hi Susan, Glad you where able to get that PlyoX workout done. Sounds like you are going to be busy on Saturday, have fun with that. I remember well the solo and ensambles. The waiting was the worst part.

Have a great day!
