Wow, can you believe it's only Tuesday?! I had some trouble getting out of bed this morning but I did it. More tired this week for some reason, maybe PMS. Did an intense incline workout on the treadmill for 30 min this am, followed by PP. I may also take a walk after work if it's good weather---sounds like this will be the last semi-warm day for a while. Windy, cold and rain tomorrow I think. That's okay, I'm ready for fall/winter I think!

Just watched some football last night. Glad to see the Colts finally win against the Patriots. My brother has been a Colts fan as long as I can remember and he was quite relieved this am when I talked to him!

Hope you gals had fun last night. We will have to plan a state-wide Cathe get together someday!

Jedi, I will be home tonight but not tomorrow night. Give me a call if you have time or I can try to call you.

Thea, I struggled out of bed today too, so you're not alone there! I stayed up later than I usually do watching the Colts game. I'm so glad they finally beat the Patriots! My boyfriend has been a Colts fan forever, since he's from Indy, so we always watch with cautious optimism :) It was a good win.

Anyway, this morning I did a premix of KPC and Legs and Glutes. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and sign up for the Indy mini marathon today. I've thought about doing it every year but never looked into registering in time. This year I really want to try to do it. I may regret that statement!

Hope everyone had fun last night. I was in lab working on a dissection while you were having fun ;) Yuck!

Dinner was good and I have lunch for today! :) And of course the company was even better!!! Good to get together with other BBs. I think Gus was imagining different things from the bits of conversation he heard.

Great to meet Michelle who couldn't make it to the first get together.

Missed those who weren't able to attend. So Jil - how did you hurt your ankle?
 
Hi ladies! I almost said good morning but wow, it's afternoon already!

Marie, I have sprained my ankle so many times, I'm not even sure how many anymore. The more I sprain it, the weaker it gets, according to the ER docs anyway. I didn't go this time. I know the drill. Wear the aircast, take ibuprofen and ice it. Bah! Nothing else to be done and I just have to give it time to heal. I won't be able to do step or bosu for at least a week.

I wasn't really doing anything! I got home Sunday from Necedah and went to the basement to take care of the cats. I twisted it while walking across the carpet. It wasn't too bad; I just waited a minute and it felt okay. Hurt a bit, but not much. Then when I got upstairs, I walked across the living room carpet and twisted it again, much worse. I went down and literally cried. It hurt a lot. It's the same feeling and the same place every time. I've been lucky--it hasn't happened in about a year.

So today I'm going to try to do some elliptical and maybe some floor work if my stupid back will allow it. I'm falling apart !

Glad you guys had fun. Was it just you, Sue, & Laurie?

It was great to see Marie, Laurie and Michelle last night. I have leftovers, too, Marie;-) That salad was enormous! Our waiter, Gus, was a hoot. Yeah, I don't know what he thought of our conversation. A statewide get-together would be fun. I vote for Madison since I'm from that area and love going back.

Jill - How's that ankle?

Ellen - I think you should signup for the mini-marathon if you've thought about it for so long. Is it a half marathon or some other distance?

Thea - I had a hard time getting started this morning, too. This check-in helps keep me motivated.

Did Kickmax this morning. Ooh, the thighs will be feeling it tomorrow! What an awesome workout. Tomorrow is Imax3 and I'm kind of scared because I haven't done that one in awhile. Please pray for me. LOL

Jill - The last time I sprained my ankle the doc gave me a band to use for exercises to strengthen the ankle. It's like the band Cathe uses in Hardcore except stronger. I did the exercises a few times and I try to flex my foot whenever I think of it without the band hoping this also will strengthen the muscle. Something you might want to ask about or try. . .

Edited to add: It's a preventative thing. You want to wait until your ankle feels better first.
