Buff Badgers August 26-30

Good morning! Today was the first day of D2S Phase Two. Today was Strength One. I really loved this workout... except for the squats . She adds a lot of balancing elements in this phase, rows done in plank, single-leg deadlifts while raising the back leg, etc.... I think my core will be a lot stronger when I finish this rotation.

Had a nice, but busy weekend. We took DS to see his first movie ever, "Planes" on Saturday. That day my workout was a 1.5 mile run and the D2S Phase One Countdown Metabolic workout.

Sunday we had our godson's baptism. I almost knocked over the baptismal fount when it was time to take him over to the water, and then he screamed during the prayer, but other than that... it went great :D No workout yesterday.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hello,

Saturday I did All Out Low Impact HiiT and the step portion from Athletic Training. It was a busy weekend with yard work and inside house work.

Today was the start of my active recovery week and I did Afterburn. Not sure if that qualifies for active recovery. :) I haven't done that workout in such a long time and I love that workout.

Sam - Did your heart drop to the pit of your stomach when you almost knocked over the baptismal. I know mine would have. Glad you had a nice weekend.

I have a short week this week. I took vacation days Thurs & Friday. We have a holiday on Monday so I have 5 days away from work. Looking forward to it.

Have a great night!

Brenda---NO...afterburn does not qualify as active recovery. I let a coworker borrow Dvds so she could see what all the Cathe fuss is about. AB, Cross Fire doesnt have a bunch of equipment so I chose those. Cant wait to hear what she thinks.

Sam--first movie for DS. I remember those days.

Last week was really busy so I know I didnt check in much. Students started school yesterday. DS11 started middle school. My workout yesterday was Xtrain Bi's and Tri's.

Good Morning!

This morning I went with Hardstrikes and 4DS Kickbox only portion. Had a good workout.

Hearty - I pretty much suck at active recovery week. I'll be anxious to hear what your co-worker thinks of Cathe. Back to school. Where has the year gone.

Hi Sam!!

Enjoy the day!
Brenda

Good morning! Today I did HIIT 30/30. My body is getting used to these D2S workouts so I feel a little more comfortable doing tougher cardio on the off days.

Brenda- Haha, no, Afterburn does not count as active recovery :D And then intense kickboxing today? I don't know how you do it. Yes, my heart dropped when that happened. I'm lucky I hung on to the baby ;) Note to self: do not wear four inch heels the next time I have to stand in front of a church for any reason.

Heartymax- Busy time for you. I hope you're finding time to relax here and there.

Have a great day, everyone!

Brenda--I have to admit that I do the same thing when I do STS. I usually skip recovery week between Meso 1 and 2 or I do some fun workouts that I miss. It's just hard not to lift a weight for a week so doing a circuit is a good choice---just seems that AB is such a kick butt workout.

Sam---Cathe says that 30/30 is the easier of the workouts but I don't know about that. It's tough.

Today's workout was Tabaticise. I wasn't sure if I would make it through the 5th Tabata after those scissor scissor wide tucks at the end of Tabata 4.:eek:

Hello! Today was D2S Phase Two Strength Two. Wow. That was a butt burner! I'm going to be feeling it tomorrow, for sure. Suitcase deadlifts, and single-leg squats with the rear foot elevated.

All my clothes are looser, but the scale is pretty much staying the same. I'm thinking it might be time to throw away the stupid scale .

Heartymax- I think all the HIITs are plenty tough, and I use a lower step height, too. I love those scissor, scissor, wide, tucks! I like any blast that has more than one move in it because it distracts me from thinking about how hard I'm working.

Hi Brenda!

Last night was parent orientation at DS's school. It's starting to seem really real now. Next Tuesday is the big day!

Have a great day, everyone.

Hello,

This morning I went with Crossfire. Another workout I haven't done in a while. I dislike the 180 degree turns though, but I still do them. :p

Today was my Friday. I took vacation days Thurs & Friday. I have lots of stuff I'm hoping to get done. I have two trees I'll be planting tomorrow, cleaning up my flower beds and weeding. Maybe freeze some of my zucchini early in the morning. I have lots to either freeze or give away. The cucumbers in my garden are out of control. I can't tell you how many cucs I have given away because we can't keep up with them. As much hard work as it is having a veggie garden, it's one of those things were there comes a point where you glad the season is over with so you don't have to weed and pick veggies, freeze, can, etc. Then after while you miss having those fresh veggies from your garden. It's nice that I can just go out to my garden and get more lettuce.

Sam - You can lose inches and not necessarily lose lbs. That means you replacing fat with muscle. As long as the clothes are fitting better I wouldn't worry so much about the number on the scale or maybe take your measurements to see the results there. You're doing a great job!!

Hearty - I thought about going into the next Mesocycle but I wanted to squeeze some of those workouts I haven't done in a while that I don't think would be wise to do while doing STS. Tabatacise... speaking of kick butt workouts.... gotta love um. :D

Oh.... what do you think of the business name "Fit For You Personalilzed Training" or maybe just "Fit for You". What made me think of that was I'm here to help people become fit (so I'm here for you) and the atmosphere is fit for you. I'm opening my home, my passion, my knowledge in a private, unintimadating, warm atmosphere. No judging. You are who you are. Would love your feedback.

Have a great night!

Hello!

This morning I did HiiT 30/30 and then one of the 1/2 premixes from Yoga Relax.

While the grass was drying, I cut up 3 huge zucchini and blanched and bagged them to freeze. Then I went outside and got the two trees dragged out to the spot where they needed to planted and then I started weeding around our center piece in our drive way. We have a gravel drive and the weeds and grass grow where you don't drive and it was gettting pretty bad and was bothering me. I took a break for lunch so I'm eating my salad while posting. Then it back outside for more weeding.

Hope you're enjoying your day!

Brenda---I like the name Fit For You as your business. Good luck. Enjoy your long weekend. im traveling out of town for a reunion with my sorority add sisters. Looking forward to it.

Evening! I woke up with a messed up neck this morning. Went to the chiropractor's and had a rather stressful adjustment. She said it was VERY stiff and VERY inflamed, and she had a difficult time getting everything back in place. Anyway, no workout today, just lots of ice. It already feels quite a bit better, though. Hopefully I'll be back at it tomorrow. I don't think there are any exercises in tomorrow's workout that put any real strain on the neck.

Brenda- I really like just "Fit For You". Short and to the point, but it still says a lot. I can tell you're really excited about this venture. It's contagious :) Thanks for the scale encouragement. It's the reason I want to get rid of the dang thing. I was telling DH today that I don't know why I can't seem to actually toss it.

Heartymax- That sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you have a great weekend.

Have a great day!

Happy Friday!!

This morning I did SuperCuts and core #1. I like how that workout constantly changes. I was proud of myself I actually kept up with them in the sit-up/push-ups at the end. Normally I fall behind on about set 5 or 6.

This morning cleaned my parents house and did a bunch errands with DH. Was going to do yardwork this afternoon but we got some much needed rain so I'll have to kick butt with the yard work tomorrow.

Hearty - I hope you have a great time this weekend. Sounds like it should be fun.

Sam - I hope your next feels better.

Thank you both for the feedback on the business name. Fit For You is what I'm leaning towards. I thought who better to ask for feedback than my fellow Cathletes. DH is working on finishing up my workout area. I'm so excited about it and can't wait to decorate. I'll have to take pictures to show you guys once it's done. The goal is by the end of the year.

Have a safe, fun, and relaxing holiday weekend!!

Take Care!
Brenda
