Todays workout was a 2 mile run with Cami and Power Hour.

Had a great first weekend off. Got some cleaning done, grocery shopping, shopping for some clothes, had friends over and did lot's of cooking for the family. :D

DD15 shaved 15 seconds off her time in Fridays race. She didn't remember what place she came in, but she was the 2nd girl on their team to cross the finish line. :D

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Laurie - Sounds like a great weekend. Congrats to DD for shaving 15 seconds off her time. She just keeps getting better and better - you should be proud. :)

It was a football weekend for us. DS and his football team got in free to the Waukesha West game Friday night and got to go onto the field and be introduced. Talk about mass confusion! Surprised no one was run over. DS had a great time running around during the game with his friends and eating (his favorite pasttime ;)).

On Saturday his team played Wisconsin Lutheran and won 26-0! The very first play of the game was returned for a touchdown. DS did some key blocking on that play. (Proud Mom talking here)

I was in a funk all day Saturday and did not workout. On Sunday I did KPC, pausing several times to catch my breath during those combos. I've been lazy with my cardio lately and that's what happens. This morning was Power Hour.

Hi, Karen, Susan, Dani and Lala! Hope you all had great weekends and workouts. :)

Hi gals,

Today I did SS premix,LIC abs and 4DS LIS cardio. Sun. did nothing and Sat. was a 2 hour bike ride.

Laurie, I'll bet is nice to have your weekends free from the faire. Glad you feel accomplished in the getting things done area. Wow! great job on DD part. She is quite the athlete. Takes after her mom.

Sue, It sounds like you had a busy but rewarding weekend. Nice DS is on a winning team and he is doing well. Are you still going to Dojo?

Hi to all the rest of you BB's.

Good Afternoon All,

Well to begin Great America was just ok. I ended missing breakfast so I had a bit of a headache. Then we went on the Superman ride and I felt slightly nauseas. And that was the theme of the day. I didn't get sick but just felt a bit off. Otherwise it was fun.

DH does not like the new bed so far. Which I find slightly funny since he was so bent on getting a tempur pedic. I on the other hand really like it. Hopefully he will get used to it. It is different then sleeping on a regular mattress.

Finally did p90x today. Woo hoo, Tony rocks. I am doing the lean version and I am going to do my own twist on the nutrition part. I am going to make my own food instead of the p90x plan. The only dairy I do is in my Starbucks. So today was core synergistics. I liked it. DH on the other hand did not finish it with me and felt a bit light headed. I am worried about him. I actually thought the dvd was hard but I have a gut feeling this is an easier dvd of the group. I felt super throughout the whole dvd. I also felt slightly bad that I could do alot more than DH. I just hope he is ready for the whole p90x challenge.

Laurie congratulations on your DD's finish. That is great!!

Sue how exciting for your DS's team and for you. I would of been very proud too. Hope your workout's get better. We have had some gloomy weather.

Everyone else Hello!!!!

Happy Monday Ladies!

My weekend was pretty good. Saturday I walked Ruby, jumped on the elliptical for 30mn and then did S/H Triceps & abs. Sunday I just did pilates. My arms were sore from Slow & Heavy work! DS lost his flag football game Saturday morning. They did the best they could for only getting to practice together one time! The score was 6-0. Saturday night we had our friends Birthday party. It was nice to see a lot of old friends. Sunday was church and Sunday School, then tons of laundry!!!

Today I woke up early and walked Ruby and jumped on the elliptical again for 30mn HIIT. In just a short bit I am doing S/H Legs & shoulders.

Dani, hope your DH begins to like the new matress! Glad you like P90 too!

Karen, you sure get some good workouts in!

Sue, Congrats to your son for the big win! :D Woo Hoo! Also, I do a lot of cardio and I still get tired on those KPC drills. My shoulders get sore and need a break!

Laurie, how nice to finally have a relaxing, quiet weekend! Glad you enjoyed it! Good job to your daughter too!

Have to take DD11 to Confirmation tonight then hope to be in bed early!

Susan

Karen - We haven't been to Dojo in a few weeks. DS' football practice is on Monday & Thursday nights, our Dojo nights. :( I want to try to go again though real soon, even if it's to a beginner class. Do you have any more tandem races this year?

Dani - Sorry you felt crummy at Great America. :( Some of those rides give me headaches and doing them on an empty stomache would definitely NOT be good. Does your tempurpedic have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee in case DH can't get used to it? Good job on Core Syn. I never clicked with that workout. Maybe because it has that one move I can't do. I'm thinking of the one where you roll onto your back and then roll forward and try to stand up. I can't stand up. :p Cool that DH is doing it with you and you can show him up. :D

Susan - Thanks for saying that about KPC. :) I read so many people write "I did such-and-such a workout and barely got my heart-rate into my target range". Grrr! Some people may be exaggerating or downright lying but I'm sure some are not.

Hey Sue,

That is funny, I asked DH since he was sitting down at that point how are they getting up. I struggled. That is one hard move. Maybe at the end of 90 days.:p

Good Morning!:D

I thought I had better write early so I don't forget! Today is Slow & Heavy Chest/Back and some pilates ab work. DH woke up extra early today which threw me off schedule, so I woke up late!:( Ruby only got a 15mn walk in instead of the usual. At least I get to walk to work and back which will give me extra exercise! :p I have a Dr. appoinment after school today for a pre-employment physical, even though I am already working! Hopefully it won't take long!

Legs are a little sore after Slow & Heavy last night....

I hope you all have a great day and enjoy your workouts!

Susan

Good Morning,

Tenative tandem group ride tonight, but I don't think it will happen so I need to find some workout to do so I won't be tired if we go but enough of a workout if we don't go. Any ideas. I did total body yesterday, possibly could work legs again:confused: Just step? light circuit, a run or spin indoors anyway.

DS has a soccer game in Hudson tonight and DS in X-country has a bike/run to Culvers tonight after school. DD5 loves Kindergarten but seems to be having some problems with the girls not letting her play dolls with them. :(

Sue, no more tandem races. We only do one a year. Thankfully. I hope you can get back into Dojo when all the sports are done. Do they ever end? :) I sure enjoy watching and cheering all these kids on.

Dani, sorry your DH doesn't like the bed. It will probably take some getting used to. Glad you are enjoying P90X. What made you start with Core Synergestics? I used to be able to ride rides and amusement parks then all of a sudden it hit and I would feel sick. Now I don't even go.

Susan, sorry DS team lost in flag football, sounds like the soccer game DS played in last week. You are really getting great workouts in for as busy as you are.. How heavy do you go for S&H Legs? Are you doing the programmed workouts on your eliptical for HIIT?

Laurie, hope things are running smoothly for you. Does DD have a X-country meet today?

Hi lala, hope you are doing well and you are keeping those students under control.

Have a great day.

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was KenpoX, and my upper body really is toasty today! :D

DD15 was asked to the homecoming dance yesterday, and the boy is a Senior! Don't know how I feel about this one yet! It was quite funny when she told DH though. Then I reminded him that he once went to a dance with a Fresh and he was a Senior! She says it feels weird because all of her friends will be going with boys from her class. She will be double dating, so I'm not to worried about it. I think!

Susan, Of course you have every right to be proud of your DS with his football. After the baseball season this must be a lot of fun for him. :) Well I always am huffing and puffing after the last combo in KPC, and of course the high intensity kicks my butt every time. ;) That move is the Dreya something! You must not like it because of Dreya, that is the only person in the P90X workouts that is annoying. I'll make her fly through the air with the greatest of ease! :D :D :D

Karen, Oh you give me to many choices for your workout! :D Spinning sounds like it would be good, but if it is nice outside then I vote for the run! :) DD has X country races on Saturdays for the next three weeks, and then I think they move to Thursdays. Dang with all those children involved in things it just has to be crazy busy at your house!

Dani, Ya the Core Syn is probably easier than lets say PlyoX, but I'm still worn out from all those bananas. :D :D The more your DH does the workouts the better he will get. Just make sure to remind him to do the easiest level. ;) To bad your DH is not as happy with the new bed. What is it that he doesn't like?

Susan, Sorry to hear about DS's loss in flag football. :( You sure did have a busy weekend though. Our weekends will be hopping starting this weekend. DD15 has her Xcountry race, and I know we will be going. :)

Have a great day!

Laurie

Susan - How is the new job going? I'm sure you'll pass your physical with flying colors! :)

Karen - I like Laurie's idea that if it's nice out to go jogging outside. The cold snap the last couple of days has reminded me that fall/winter is just around the corner. Enjoy the good weather while you can!

Laurie - You were right - DD15 is too cute! ;) I think as long as she's with a group that's okay. I'm no expert though. DD13 hasn't started to date yet although she admitted to a crush on a "boy" friend of hers. Yes, DS is very excited about winning. After the game on Saturday he asked another boy who was on his baseball team and now on his football team "So Jalen, how does it feel to be 1-0?!" :D

Hi Dani and Lala!

Got up early this morning and my sinuses felt like a cold was brewing so I went back to bed! The extra sleep did me good because I feel fine now. I will try really hard to do cardio tonight. Step Blast is what I was planning to do but it might be a shortened version.

Hi again,

You will never guess what I ended up doing. Yes, the whole 90 min. of P90X. That is one long workout. Don't like it at all. It was 37 degrees here this morning and now finally warmed up to 60 but I have to get going on my running around so I couldn't wait. I put Emily in a winter coat this morning. Where did fall go?

Sue, hope you get your workout in tonight. If not, at least you feel better. Now I wish I would have run. I thought DS would be very happy with the win after the baseball season he had. I am very happy for him and for you. I hope they have continued success. It sounds like he is very good at football.

Laurie, how far are your longest runs now? Sounds like DD will enjoy the Fall Formal. A senior hugh? How did she get to know him? Not many freshman hang around Seniors. I am glad she gets to go. It's funny none of my kids are interested in anyone to go out with. You would think with almost 4 teenagers, someone would be interested in someone. I am fine with this situation though. No headaches for me yet.

Enjoy your day.:)

Hello,

Today was cardio x. I have to say I am so glad I have been doing Cathe workouts or else I probably wouldn't make it thru these workouts. I am watching poor DH run out of breath, so we paused the video somewhat. I think that made it easier today, but I tried to keep running in place or something just to keep moving. I am proud him. He was just amazed that this is so hard for him to do, since he normally rides his bike everyday to work. It is 15 miles one way. I told him it was just a different type of cardio.

With the mattress, DH doesn't like how hard it is and I really like that. It is very different from a normal mattress. He will get use to it. (I hope)

Karen I picked Core syn first cause that was on the rotation. We are doing the lean version first. I am hoping I will have STS by the time I am done with this and then I can try the classic version next.

Susan good luck with the preemployment screen. That is funny that you are already working.

Laurie I don't know how I would feel about that. When I was a freshman I dated a senior and that was just a big mess. I don't look forward to the day when my daughter dates. I want her to stay 2 forever.

Hi Sue and LaLa!!

Dani - Good job on CardioX. Can you believe I've never done this one? I heard it wasn't as good as PlyoX so I always did that one instead. One of these days I'll try it I'm sure. Maybe your DH maybe isn't used to interval work (vs. steady state cardio) and that's why it's tough for him. Cudos to him for hanging in there.

Well, I got my cardio in tonight. Did Step Blast Combos 1-3 premix 41 min. Short and sweet. Or should I say short and sweaty! :p

Good night.

Good Morning! :D
It's so sunny here this morning! Took a nice 30mn walk with Ruby in the brisk air today! That was nice. After work I have to mow the lawn and do yard work so that's my workout today!

My "pre" employment physical was a joke! Raise your arms over your head, touch your toes, reach behind your back, clench a fist, you're all done! They are also testing me for tuberculosis... I am really liking the new job. The ladies are very nice and funny. The High School kids are good too. The time goes by very fast!

Sue, good job getting your cardio in last night!

Karen, way to go on the 90mn workout! How are you feeling today?

Dani, it's great that your DH kept on with the workout and didn't just give up!

Hi Laurie!
Hi Lala!!

See ya later- Susan

:DGood Morning,

Today I am doing PUB and a 3 mile run.

Susan, glad you are enjoying your job. It makes it fun to go to work. What was the temp. this morning when you went for your walk? We have only had to cut our grass 2 times this whole summer. It sounds as if you have been cutting yours more.

Dani, glad you are liking the P90X workouts. I never did CardioX either. Is it interval or just straight cardio?

Sue, good job on Step Blast, that is one fun, sweaty workout.

DD14 JV team lost 3-2 last night to Hudson. DS12 has his first X-country meet tomorrow. I hope he does well. DD16 is working a lot and so far she has all A's. DH spends his night bear hunting. I sure hope he gets one soon. DD5 starts BB on Sat. That should be cute. I guess the girl that is giving DD5 problems at school called her a Doufus yesterday. Not very nice. :(

Hi to Laurie, and lala.

Enjoy.

Morning BB's,

Today I have done Butts & Guts and will run with Cami for 2m after work. Just way to cold and dark this morning for me. LOL!

Karen, This is Kindergarten that your DD is in right? Isn't there always one in every class that has to be the mean one. Guess she never was given the proper share instructions from the parental units! :( I have not done a long run in at least 4 weeks. I am on the build up to that once again. I should be up to 5 miles in about 3 weeks! Hopefully! ;) DD15 met the senior from track and Xcountry. Apparently he is a very good sprinter, but a so so long distance runner! LOL!

Susan, Yep we had the bright sun this morning to! In fact it was at such an angle that it was really hard to drive into work today. :( Glad you are enjoying your new job! What! you didn't have to do the pee in a cup for a drug test? I had to do that for my current job!

Dani, Good job on the CardioX, I have never done that workout either! :D Maybe I should put that one into my rotation. :D I would still love for my DD's to be around 3-4 years old. I just loved that age. But I understand that they need to grow, but sometimes you really are not expecting some of the blows! LOL ;) I'm just glad that DD15 talks to me, now my other one may be a different story!

Sue, Just love what your DS said about their record! :D It will just make football a lot more fun for him. LOL about your DD having a crush on a "boy". I'm so glad that I'm only having to go through this one at a time. DD11 still thinks boys are gross! :D WTG on getting in a workout, short and sweet is a good option too! ;)

Have a great day!

Laurie

Susan - Oh, my! That physical was indeed a joke. You should have asked if they wanted to see how many pushups you could do? ;)

Karen - Good job on YogaX yesterday! I always feel so accomplished after doing that one but it has a huge dread factor for me because of the time it takes. I'm preferring the short and sweet workouts lately. :) Love hearing what's going on with all your kids. You amaze me you're able to keep track of everything going on. I have a hard enough time with 2! And now DS is starting trombone which means he'll need to be driven to Monday night band. Will we ever make it back to Dojo again?

Dani - Which P90X workout is on the agenda for today?

Laurie - You'll be back up to 5 miles in no time! I *thought* about running outside this week but it's so dark and cold at 5 a.m. now. I miss summertime already!

Did all the standing exercises in B&G this morning before I had to stop and get ready for work. Will try to do at least the abs tonight and some of the floorwork if I'm lucky. DD is taking a special teen art class at a local gallery tonight so I have to drive her to that.

Hey Ladies,

I did shoulders and arms today. Then the ab ripper, and omg that is hard. Where did he come up with some of those moves. This is short and sweet tonight, I am off to bed. Hope everyone had a good day.

Good Morning,

How are you all this morning. Yesterday I ended up running 6 miles and that was it. Today I did 4DS upper premix, ab ripperX, and stretchmax.

It is a rainy, dreary day here. DD5 had a temp. when I sent her to school this morning but she really wanted to go because she was the leader and snack bringer today. I am still expecting a call. I gave her some homeopathic tablets for flu and she went.

Tonight is DD15 soccer game and DS12 X-country meet. It is going to be a cold one.

My brother and his wife and DD6 are coming tomorrow so my bro can race with my DH in the Chewamagon 40 on Sat. It will be nice to see them again.

Laurie, how are you feeling after B&G? It is really dark now in the mornings. We are loosing light all around.

Sue, how did DD like her art class? Are you feeling DOMS from B&G? Did you finish the workout?

Dani, great job on P90X. Those are some tough workouts.

Lala, are you g etting ready for your race this weekend. I hope it doesn't rain like it says it is.

Susan, hope you are getting all you need to in the day.

Enjoy your day.
