BUFF BADGERS 9/28-10/2

Sue, sorry about such a rough night last night and start of today. Hope things get better. You are awesome.:D Have a good rest of the day.

Morning Ladies,

TGIF!!! :D Disc 9 Legs is finished, and I'm going to get in a run after work. DH is gone for the weekend, so it is just the girls and me until Sunday.

The meet yesterday was cold/wet/rainy, but DD16 did a great job coming in 10th overall. She was 2nd for the team, and the team came in 2nd. Was glad I could get in the car and turn the heat on full blast!

Susan, You are a good Mom for helping your DD with that project. It amazes me that kids do that to us, but I think I remember doing that once to my parents. :( Did a machine break, or was DH able to taxi your DS?

Karen, I'm wondering if you can try a two day split. Something like this:

Day 1: Back, Chest, Abs
Day 2: Legs
Day 3: Cardio or off
Day 4: Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps
Day 5: Back, Chest, Abs
Day 6: Cardio or off
Day 7: Legs
Day 8: Shoulders, Triceps, Biceps
Day 9: Cardio or off
etc.

Basically you are doing two days of weights, then either do a cardio day or nothing. This is the Advanced version from the BFFM e-book. If you want to go heavy on the weights this is an option, with far less cardio. ;)

Sue, Glad you where able to vent to us, and I'm hoping that you are doing much better today. Enjoy the competition, and hope your DD's band does really well.

Have a great day!

Happy Friday!:D I am thankful it's here! Today will be BFBM. After supper DH and I have to go to the start of his class reunion. Bunch of his friends are meeting at a bar. I told him we will go for 2 hours and that's it! Then his taxi is leaving(me)! I have to have DS up at 6am for a football game at 7:30!

DD ended up changing her mind on her project! So instead of baking a cake for her project, I baked the cake for the family! They were happy! My DH works at a cookie factory. Well, he brought home a HUGE box full of cookies, mostly chocolate, but he also brought home my favorite, ginger snaps! Anyway, I told him I was going to give them to the local food pantry! I don't need all that in my house! Kids are begging me to keep it all.

Sue, I am so sorry for your cruddy day yesterday! Did the band director ever reply to your e-mail? As for DH signing you up for car-pooling... yeah, I'd be grumpy too! They just don't get it,do they? I hope today goes better and that you got some sleep last night!

Karen, what did you end up doing for cardio yesterday?

Hi Laurie! Yes, DH did come home in time to take DS to practice!

Hi Lala!!

Have a great day- Susan

Good Morning,

Today I am doing disk 21 back/bi and abs. Would add cardio, but don't have the motivation or energy for much more than the basic workouts.

susan, ended up doing KPC and floorwork from PLB. What did DD decide on instead of the cake. Oh!, I would keep all the cookies. Yum!!! Have fun tonight. Is BFBM getting any easier?

Laurie, thanks for the suggestion. I only seem to have 5 days to workout anymore. I just can't fit it in on the weekends with so much going on. I will keep the rotation and see if it works with 5 days. I really find more cardio does better for me, I just don't have anything I like to do anymore. Just want to sleep. DD did well in her cross country. She seems to have found her groove.

Sue, hope today is better than yesterday.

Hi lala.

Enjoy the day.

Laurie - Brrrrr! It amazes me how many sports they go ahead and do in the rain. I guess I was born with the wimpy gene because I'd be praying for lightening so they'd have to cancel or postpone! Congrats to DD on another fine race. :)

Susan - Cake and cookies at your house? What time can I come over? :p No, the band director never replied to my email. I hope he didn't take it the wrong way.

Karen - 5 days of working out is great - especially with the workouts you do which are intense. I've been re-listening to Jillian Michaels radio shows that I downloaded and burned to CD and I'm finally start to understand that rest days are critical and to avoid overtraining at all cost. Something actually clicked with me yesterday when she said too much exercise can harm your immune system. I'm wondering if I didn't cause my thyroid problem by pushing myself too hard. At the time I was first diagnosed as hypo I was pushing myself to get up at 4:30 a.m. every single morning to do really hard workouts like MIC, MIS, Imax, etc. and was exhausted all the time. It makes me wonder. . .

Today is a much better day. Last night was hectic because DH is on call and didn't get home until 7:30 and then had to signon to work again for a couple more hours. I did all the running around but at least was able to sit down for about an hour and relax.

Tonight I plan on working out, packing, ironing DD's uniform and doing laundry. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and won't be as cold and rainy as I fear. Bringing long underwear and raingear just in case. ;)

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!
