Morning Ladies,

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to get in a run on Friday, and also got the ab workout finished. Saturday was TaeBo Get Ripped #1, and another 30 min. run. So beautiful out on Saturday! :D On Sunday I did absolutely nothing. ;) DH and I went to look at refrigerators, and we will probably be getting a freezer on the bottom with French doors.

DD16 did pretty good in her race on Saturday, she came in 43rd out of over 200 girls. Apparently she passed out at the end of the race, she had a really bad cold all week and I'm sure that didn't help any. Came home and ate everything in site. I think the girl polished off 1/2 a pumpkin pie over the weekend! :rolleyes: She said she is feeding her tape worm. :eek: :D

This morning was Disc 7, Chest, Shoulders, Biceps. After work I would like to get in a run, and the Med Ball Abs. The run may be on the TM if is doesn't dry up around here.

Laurie - DD did really well at her race - especially considering she was getting over a cold. I think my kids have tapeworms, too. ;) It's supposed to be windy so I think you're better off using your TM. Good workouts this weekend.

Here's how my workouts went last weekend:
Friday - Rest
Saturday - HIS cardio and circuits 1-3 from BFBM
Sunday - Yoga X
Monday - ME upper/abs premix 43 min.

My calves have been feeling so tight in the morning when I get out of bed I figured Yoga X would help stretch them out with all those downward dogs. Well, my calves feel better but my glutes are sore, sore, sore! All those standing splits (before you swing thru to runner's pose) got me. I tried lifting my leg as high as I could and must have squeezed the glutes too hard.

Busy weekend. DS' football team won 20-13! :) DD had 4 hours of marching band rehearsal on Saturday and performed an exhibition at a competition we hosted. We all got rained on but the bands kept playing. Luckily I had an umbrella in the car so ran to get it. DH went home to change into warmer clothes and made it back in time to see DD perform. Next weekend we are all going up to the Wausau area for marching band competitions on Saturday and Sunday. We're leaving right after DS' football game and staying overnight. I'll be sure to pack some raingear this time!
 
Hi Ladies! The weekend was too busy and I'm glad it's done! :confused:Saturday all I got in was a walk and Sunday I was not feeling well at all so I just did my housework and called it a day!:p Today I am still feeing a bit "off" but will be doing MIC. I hope to sweat out whatever is trying to hit me!

Laurie, your DD did great! It is super windy here today so nothing outside for me!

Sue, you had a busy weekend! Good workouts too! Make sure you stretch those glutes & quads!;)

Hi, did STS leg disk 20 today. Didn't finish it because I broke a blood vessel in my ring finger and it swelled up. Hopefully I can lift tomorrow. What do you all think?

Sue, so Yoga helped and it hurt.;) You have a busy weekend next weekend. Glad DS team won their game. Did you do all of Yoga X?

Laurie, nice runs. I didn't do anything except walk the dog. I like my refrig. with the freezer on the bottom. Heard they are suppose to save electricity also. DD did great in her race. That is a lot of people. Just think how well she would have done had she not been getting over a cold.

Off to pick up DS for soccer, take DD6 to the dentist and DS11 to flag football. Told them they can't go to cross country because I won't be home to pick them up.

Karen, Ouch on the finger! I have never done that before!:confused: Hope it heals quickly! Have you done this before?

Good Morning,

Today I am doing cardio because I don't know if I can grasp the weights for chest/bi/shoulder workout. Probably RS or SB.

Have to serve icecream and rootbeer after the Rootbeer Run for cross country tonight. Brrrrrr!!!!

Susan, we must have posted at the same time yesterday because your post wasn't there when I posted. Great minds think alike:)

Good morning! Brisk and a bit windy but that's okay! During our walk this morning Ruby and I ran. I was surprised to see her do so well. Usually she pulls me all over the place!:p Later I will be doing Supersets! I think MIC helped clear out the bug I was getting! Nearly killed me but it helped!:eek:

Karen, stay warm serving tonight! My in-laws are heading up there this weekend to close the cabin for the season. Looks like it'll be pretty cool for them! How's your finger today?

Morning Ladies,

This morning was 1:1 Plyo Legs. Last night I did end up running on the TM, because wind/rain/cold just are not what I want to exercise in. :rolleyes: I find it interesting that I could run faster on my TM after doing my outdoor run.

Sue, Sounds like YogaX really worked that lower body good. I love that workout, just wish it wasn't 90 min. long. ;) Have a great time with the band competitions, and congrats to the DS and his team.

Susan, Glad that MIC was able to get that bug out of your system. Tough workout to do when you are not feeling well. I find that Cami tends to like to stop and sniff, so I have been going on my own. I cooked a roast in my slow cooker on Sunday, and it made the house smell so good when we got home from fridge shopping. :D

Karen, Ouch, I know how those dang things feel. I used to play first base in softball, and had many. It should clear up in a couple of days. Your evening will be a bit cold. :confused:

Karen - Ow, ow, ow! :( Hope your finger feels better today. Does it help to wrap it? I did all of YogaX I am proud to say. :D Root beer floats sound yummy but I bet they'd like hot chocolate better. :)

Laurie, do you think I can do weights tomorrow without making it worse if it doesn't hurt? Nice workouts. I read somewhere that you are propelling your own weight forward outside as opposed to help from the treadmill inside. Glad to know you are getting faster.

Susan, Ruby probably just wanted to get home and figured the shortest route was straight ahead. Nice job in the wind. Your inlaws should have some cold weather for closing up the cabin. Your supper sounds yummy.:)

Sue, it actually doesn't hurt, but I was wondering the same thing if I used a lifting glove if it would be ok to lift tomorrow. I am in awe of you doing all of yoga X. I'd be sore too. I know I would prefer to serve hot chocolate than icecream tonight.;)

Off to pick up the kiddos and get busy with all the running around.
 
BRRR trying to keep warm! Yesterday I did cardio and weights...it´s been a long time! Today was ABento´s kickbox surge. I really like that one.

This weekend I did Drill Max and was going to do a short run, but after DM I figured that was enough!!! Did mow, though!

Sounds like you all are having busy weeks.

Laurie, DD did super in her run. Hope she is over whatever she had.

Susan, using MIC to get rid of a bug :eek: You are a wonder woman! I´m thinking of doing supersets tomorrow. I like it in that it´s not so intense but I still feel like I´ve done something!

Karen, hope that finger gets better. Can you tape it to the one next to it? That might help.How was the ice cream dipping ?

Sue, Congrats on DSs win! Good luck to DD this weekend at the Band competition.
 
Good Chilly Morning, Ladies!:D

I over-slept today, so the day did not start too well!:( But I am sure it'll get better! Yesterday DH called to say I would have to take DS to FB practice so instead of SuperSets, while he practiced I went for a 50mn walk/run. My calves are sore today! Now, today I will be doing SS, for sure!

DH worked 15 hours yesterday! Some machine went down and he could not leave until it was running. That's what he gets for being a Supervisor I guess! He was up and at it at 4:30 this morning again! :confused:

We have 4 kittens and their Mom under our shed in the backyard. Neighbor lady has been feeding the Mom all Summer. She begged me to let her catch them and take care of them. It'll take some time though cause Mom is a bit afraid. She is slowly gaining her trust. Now DD is begging us for one of the kittens. I must say they are very cute..... Mom is all black with bright orange eyes. She looks liek she could use a bath!

Karen, I would think that you would be able to lift, mine usually felt better after a couple of days. It probably is bruised though. How did handing out the root beer & ice cream go?

Lala, I wish I could grasp Amy's kickboxing workouts. She just confuses me so much. :confused:

Susan, Guess you are probably going to have a kitten. Is there one that is really cute? Hope the machine your DH is dealing with gets fixed. I know all about down machinery, because I'm the one that has to overnight parts into this place. :rolleyes:

Susan - I hope the mom kitty and the kittens all find a home before winter. 15 hours is a long day. It sounds like they got the machine running though which is good.

Laurie - How are you liking STS so far?

This morning I did ME lower body premix skipping the abs and adding on a few cardio and lower body exercises from Results Lower. I had time to do 5-10 min. more but the legs were really shaky so I called it a day. The 3 sets of leg presses in ME using 6 risers must have done it to me.

DH is on call this week which basically means he can't be relied on to taxi kids around. Not even sure if he can go to the band competition this weekend. It might be just me and DS. DD has to sleep with her band on some junior high gym floor while we sleep in comfy beds at the hotel. Told her to rest up this week because Saturday night, between the uncomfortableness of the gym floor and all the noise of excited kids who don't want to go to bed, she won't get much sleep.

Yesterday I ended up doing Cardio Fusion. Today I did STS disk 19 and abwork.

Sue, nice workout. Boy sleeping on the floor before a competition there should be some well rested kids.

Laurie, thanks for the advice on lifting. Ice cream scooping was cold but went over pretty well.

Susan, good you got something in seeing as your DH has to work so much extra right now. So do you have a kitten in your house yet? Did your neighbor come take them?

Lala, Drill max is a hard workout. I just did part of it yesterday and I wasn't able to do any more.

The cats are still all under the shed. Neighbor said it'd take about a week to gain their trust. DH looked at me last night and said "Don't even think about it" as I was giving him my purrrrty please look! LOL!:p Time will tell if he'll change his mind!

Sue, just the thought of sleeping on a gym floor hurts my back! Ouch! Good workout this morning!

Better get this house in order!
 
Morning All,

This morning my workout was Criss Cross Cardio, and I did the first premix. This was warm-up, kickboxing and cool-down stretch. Glad I picked that option, because I wouldn't have had enough time to finish the full workout. :rolleyes: I got myself a new HRM, and I was playing around with it and ate up about 10 min. of valuable workout time. :)

Sue, I know how valuable having the DH do the running around can be. I'm working at the CC home meet today, and DH has to be the doggy daycare taxi. :eek: Feel sorry for that DD of yours, having to sleep on a gym floor. :confused: My thoughts on STS: I think what I like about STS so far is the fact that each of the workouts is different. Sure there is familiar footage, but Cathe didn't sequence them in the same way, so it makes them different. The other thing I really really like is having a workout sheet with the weights already picked out for you. She has some new moves in these workouts also. One drawback is the equipment changes can be a pain, but I just use my pause button until I am ready.

Karen, Cardio Fusion is a tough workout! Sounds like everyone had a great CC celebration. My DD12 has her celebration next week, they only have one more meet left. Last night the girls came in 2nd, so not to bad.

Susan, When you said the pretty please it reminded me of that commercial for the mascara! :D The one where the girl is batting her lashes at her BF to get the remote. Wonder if you should get that mascara, and start batting you lashes at your DH! :D :D :D

Hi ho! Another brisk morning here! Guess I better get used to it!:) I am hoping to get Power Max in today!

DD informed me last night she has a project due tomorrow morning! Has she really started it? No! She had started but then changed her mind on what she wanted to do, and is now starting over! However, now she needs my help to get it all done. :mad: DS has FB practice. I told DH he must come home to take him cause I will not have time. He said I better hope nothing breaks down again at his work!:confused: Keeping my fingers crossed!

Laurie, I might have to go pick up some of that mascara! LOL!

Some kind of cardio for me today. Lately I don't like cardio and wish it was a weight day. What should I do?

Laurie, good job on DD cross country team. I think they have one more meet next week and then a pizza party for the last day. Glad you said Cardio Fusion was a good workout because I tell you I was waiting for the workout to get over.

Susan, hope nothing breaks down cause it seems like you need some help. At least DD didn't wait until the last min and not try anything at all.

Today my DD turned 7. We brought cupcakes to school for a treat and tonight we will go to Culvers for a free birthday sundae after cross country practice and DS15 soccer game and conferences for DD7.

No stress here, how do you guys do everything for your family and a job too. Can we say wonderwoman.:D

Enjoy your day. Ended up doing KPC and PLB floorwork.

Bad night. There was an "incident" at marching band rehearsal last night involving DD and the section leader. Couldn't get to sleep last night because I was upset about it so I sent off an email to the director this morning. I was very diplomatic and admitted that I wasn't witness to the event so am only going by what DD tells me. Wanted to make him aware so he can look for this kind of behavior from his drum majors and section leaders in the future.

After I finally got to sleep, I got paged. :mad: It wasn't my turn for the pager but if no one replies it keeps going down the list until someone does and that was ME! 2 people ahead of me claimed they didn't hear their BlackBerry go off.

Then I find out DH arranged a carpool that is very inconvenient for me. I'd rather just take DS to Jazz Band every Tues/Thurs. It's right on my way to work and only 5 min. earlier than normal. Now I have to leave 15 min. earlier once a week which cuts into my workout time. :mad: This morning the carpool started and DS wasn't ready! DH didn't tell me about this carpool thing until late last night when I was already fuming about what happened at band so it didn't really sink into the brain or I would have made sure he was ready.

To top it off, the temporary guy we have at work is driving me crazy! At first I thought he was smart and now I'm realizing he doesn't know what the heck he is doing. Yesterday he took off after lunch and no one knew where he went. His boss is out for surgery so can't keep an eye on him. I emailed his boss as an FYI because we get billed for his hours and we shouldn't have to pay him if he's not here. His boss didn't know about him taking off and was thankful I said something.

Oy! :mad:

Suffice it to say, no workout this morning. End of rant. Feels better getting all that off my chest.
