Morning BB's,

Today is CTX Back & Triceps / Yoga Zone Yoga for Weight Loss. Didn't work out on Friday, just wasn't enough time. The campout was ok, I had a hard time falling asleep. We had streakers from a party that was close to the park. :) The party broke up after we called the cops. They looked as if they where forming up an even larger party to run through our site. :D Don't need young people seeing that. I also had to deal with people talking till all hours of the night too. Of course the weather got down to 52 deg too. I was happy to head for home.

Sue, What KB workout did you decide to do? Barry's is pretty intense, but I take breaks to catch my breath. Some of them are not as hard as others. I just like the challenge of the Barry's. I figure if I eventually can get through one workout without taking a break, then my endurance will have improved. :D

Karen, How did your guys do with the bike races?

Susan, Do you have Barry's also?

Hi BB's,

Laurie, sorry you didn't enjoy yourself on the camping trip. Cold weather, glad it wasn't me. Did you DD enjoy it though? The guys did well at the race. DS9 took 6, no medal this time. DS11 took 2nd and DS13 took 5th, finally got a medal. DH also got 5th but the medals only go through 3 places in his age group.

Sue, did you get a chance to do a Barry workout yet or didn't you get them yet.

Susan, hope you had a peaceful weekend.

Saturdays run ended up being 6 miles, then my hips started hurting bad so I quit. I didn't end up finishing the 60 min Itread I was using. Don't know how much longer it was going to go.

Today I did Cardio Fusion 80 min premix and abripper X.

Laurie - Streakers! Oh,my! Did you get caught up on your sleep? I figure I'll be pausing during Barry, too. I do that at times now with Cathe.

Karen - I haven't received my Barrys yet. An email sent on Saturday said to expect it in 7-10 days so not this week. Great workout today! Those are 2 that are high on the dread factor list for me.

Hi, Susan!

Really needed a good cardio workout Friday night so I did Step Blast. IMO, that blast challenge at the end is as hard as any Imax. On Saturday I did Kelly's Step Kickbox cardio + Mission Possible Hi/Lo + StretchMax #3. Yesterday was MuscleMax. This morning was CTX Kickbox cardio, planks & abs.

Hey everyone! :D

My weekend was busy running here and there. I had little down time! Saturday I did do the elliptical for 50mn and Sunday I walked for 50 and did some pilates.

My week is hectic too! Most nights after school I have stuff going on. Last night I did not get my workout it. This morning I was going to wake up extra early to get it in but the children both had me up 3 times during the night(storms,nightmares)so I was too tired to get up! When I was walking this morning I was being thankful that at least I get out everyday and walk with my buddy!

Today I am supposed to do Cardio Kicks! We'll see if I can squeeze it in somewhere!

I do not have Barry's yet. I am waiting on the review from Sue!;-)

Sue, Is Mission Possible a Christi workout? You got some good workouts in last weekend. Are you getting lean and mean with all your kickboxing?

Susan, sounds like you were very busy. Hope you fit in Cardio Kicks somewhere today.

Hi Laurie, did you catch up on your sleep and unthaw? How are you liking your rotation? You'll probably be done by the time Cathe's workouts get to you.

Workout: CTX Chest, Biceps, Abs / 35 Min Run

We where all watching Heroes last night. My DD's love that show, and it didn't disapoint. :)

Susan, Doesn't seem fair that our weekends seem just as busy as our weeks. Makes the weekend fly by too fast. :) Hope you can squeeze your workout in today.

Karen, I hope that Cathe's workouts get to us soon. I have a rotation all worked out for it. :D I see that they are at the duplicators, so we should have them by next month. :D After this campout I sure do appreciate my comfy bed. :)

Sue, I'm probably going to do the same ab/core work that you did this morning. As long as I have that CTX DVD in the player. I have always thought the plank work in the kickboxing workout where good.

Laurie - Thank you for not saying what Heroes was about last night! We DVR'd it because DD has to be in bed by 8:30 and there's no way she would go to bed halfway thru the show. Hopefully we'll have time tonight to watch it tonight after Dojo. Otherwise, Wednesday night. Are you still taking Cami for walks?

Karen - How are your hips feeling today? My left hip started hurting a tad while running this morning, too. Sympathy pain? I have noticed that my clothes are fitting better and my legs are leaner. Haven't weighed myself though because I get discouraged if the number is too high. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing since it seems to be working.

Susan - I love Cardio Kicks. The guys, the elbow strikes, the drills at the end - they all make me feel tough while I'm doing this workout. I'll let you know how I like Barry. From what I've read about the cardio, I just hope I survive! ;-)

Woke up and saw that it was 74 outside at 5 a.m. so I went for a 4 mile jog/walk. Dojo tonight. Hope they work us hard. }(

I'm also anxious for the new Cathes. It's been almost a year since the last batch and I was under the impression we'd get new releases more often. Oh, well. As long as they're done right and no complaints about sound, freezing, skipping, etc. I get so tired of all the drama!

Today is Absolute Kickbox. Hip still hurts.

Sue, how was Dojo? Nice you are feeling lean. Thanks for the sympathy pains. How are you feeling? What is Heroes about, I've never heard of that show. Did your DD picture ever make it to the newspaper?

Laurie, how did DD's cross country run go this past weekend? How much longer does it last. How is the newest additon to the family working out. Do you take him walkint everyday?

Susan, hope things are well with you. I know your busy so take care of yourself.

DS11 had his Hunter Safety class test last night. He got 10 wrong, thats the most you can get wrong and pass. Now he just has the field test left. If he could concentrate more than a couple of seconds, he might make it. I hope he does so he can go hunting with DH and DS13.

We are having DD4 soon to be 5 birthday party on Sat. evening. Lots of things to get ready before then.

Karen, So sorry to hear about your hip pain. I bet you DS passes the field test with flying colors. ;-) Is he more of a hands on type of kid? My oldest is like that. She has a hard time taking tests, but if she hears or sees something she can remember. Oldest ran Varsity for the first time, and came in 22nd. It was also a relay race, and she came in 6th place out of all the #8 runners. 17:30 was her time. If the girls manage to go to state, they will be done at the end of October. She has a race tomorrow, so we don't have to get up at 6am on Saturday! Yipee!!! :7

Susan, Just hope you are doing good with your busy week. :)

Sue, Yup I'm still taking Cami for walks. I take her out at least 3 times a day. Once in the morning, after I get home from work, and I take her in the back yard once during the evening. She really doesn't like going out in the morning, but we still can't trust her not to have an accident. At least we don't have a yard full of poo, because she hasn't gone in our yard. :7 :7 :7 Did you get to watch Heroes yet?

Good day ladies!

Well, my week is not going as planned! Yesterday Dh called and told me he invited 3 friends over for dinner (?!). So.... CK did not happen, AGAIN! However, tonight it will. I told DH he is taking DS to football practice so I can workout.

Laurie, 3 walks a day? Lucky dog! Ruby would love that. I try to squeeze 2 walks in when I can. We have a neighbor dog,also a labrador, that comes over and plays with her everyday. He really wears her out! They look so cute when theyre playing and then they fall on the ground pooped!

Karen, I hope your hip get better!

Karen - We forgot all about checking the stores for a newspaper! Shoot, guess we missed it. I did check the newspaper's website and didn't see it there but that doesn't mean anything. My hip started feeling fine once we started jumping around at Dojo last night - and I do mean literally jumping! LOL As a warmup they had us jump in the air 25 times kicking our heels to our butt. Some people hated these but I felt like I had springs in my feet last night and loved it! :) Heroes is about all these people with superpowers which are all different. They have the girl who can't die, the guy who reads minds, the guy who an fly, etc. And of course there are good guys and bad guys. That's a real high level description. Maybe Laurie can help explain. What kind of cake are you having for DD4's (soon to be 5) birthday party? (You can tell what I like most about birthdays.) Good luck to DS10 on passing his hunting test. No hunters in our family believe it or not. Lots here at work though.

Laurie - Yes, we watched Heroes last night. So what do you think that Mexican girl's superpower is? Your DD is doing great running varsity. She's only a freshman, right? Sounds like she'll have a great high school running "career" if she keeps progressing like she's been.

Susan - I think I'd kill my DH if he ever called and said he was bringing friends for dinner! haha Luckily he knows better than to do that. Hope you get CK in tonight. I love sending my family out of the house so I can workout. Don't know why but I always have better workouts when I have the house to myself.:)

Had a good time at Dojo last night. We worked on different punches and kicks with instructors holding these big padded bags. When you finished one line and moved to the next you were supposed to "duck walk" over and then do 10 runners, 10 spiders and 10 situps while you waited your turn in line. I've got to work on my roundhouse more so I don't hurt my toes when I kick the bag. It's easy to get into sloppy habits doing kickbox dvds where you aren't actually kicking something and then you try to kick a bag and your toes aren't pointed and curled back and you kill your toes. I want to get a standing bag so I can practice at home. All of us can use it but I seem to be the only one having the problem. DD12 was in another line but I saw some of her kicks and she is awesome! (proud mama talking)

Barry's Bootcamp came yesterday! Less than a week since I ordered it so pretty quick. No time to preview last night and I want to watch at least a little before I do it so I did GS-BSB this morning instead

Well I finally got my workout in yesterday! Yipee! However, after CK my foot really aches. Don't know why but I think I need new insoles again. ;)

Today is CTX Upper Body and 30mn of elliptical.

Laurie, how is your new look? You never know what sylists are going to send you out looking like. Your DD is doing great in running. It seems like she has a definite talent for it.

Sue, I can see where you don't concentrate on every positon being exactly right when you are just doing a dvd. It sounds like you get a good workout from Dojo too. The cake is white with strawberry filling.

Susan, glad you got CK in finally. Hope your foot recovers quickly. Enjoy the elliptical and CTX.

Today I am doing BM2 upper and CC#4 on the bike.

Todays workout is Barry's BC Butt & Legs (only the weight portion)

Have a Xcountry meet tonight, so the workout will have to get in later tonight. DD14 is running Varsity again.

Karen, I had the stylist cut about an inch off the mop of hair I had. :) I let it grow longer for the faire, because I have to put ratts in it. It feels so much lighter today. :) Oh that cake sounds really good. DD14 has her confirmation at the end of next month. Want to make a cake. :9 :7 Sue explained Heroes pretty well. They are starting this season out with quite a few twists. They are working on the premise that life with these people has been going on for the last 4 months, and we are getting flash backs.

Susan, We don't want you suffering from a sore foot, go get those new insoles. You have been doing so good. :)

Sue, None of us could figure out what the girls powers where. Seems she isn't able to handle it very well. Wonder why everyone was dead after her powers went off! Are you going to start checking out prices on a bag? Probably something I will need if Cathe does those boxing workouts.

Laurie - I looked at Target, Walmart and K-Mart already last winter for bags in anticipation of Cathe's boxing series but then figured we didn't need extra stuff in the basement before we laid the new carpeting so never bought anything. I want to get a really sturdy one so I'll check more places this time around. Hope your DD does well at her meet tonight and you get your workout in.

Susan - Take care of your foot. Laurie's right. You have been doing well since you got over your injury. Would hate to see you have a setback. No, haven't had a chance to watch Barry's yet. I may just go for it on Saturday without previewing.

Sore and tired so took a rest day today. Quads and inner thighs are screaming today from those duck walks we did Tuesday night.

Sue - your class sounds tough but I'm sure you will do great!

I have Barry's set but probably won't ever use it so would have sold it cheap. Too bad I didn't check in sooner.

I got my elliptical and am using that most of the time for my home cardio. I started taking a belly dance class at the gym and love it so just added a 90 minute class on Wed night.

I am waiting for Cathe's new workouts for the shorter strength segments but having more neck issues so not sure what I will be able to do. I start PT for that tomorrow. They found some arthritis in one spot and think that is contributing to the muscle tightness and headaches. So maybe I will finally get some answers.

Laurie, how did the cross country meet go last night? Glad your hair turned out well.

Sue, how many nights a week do you have Dojo. Glad you are getting DOMS from it.

Susan, I'll bet you have a good workout planned for today.

Marie, nice to hear from you. A belly dance class sounds interesting. Are there a lot of people that take that class? Glad you found something you enjoy. I hope you get some answers to your headaches. Keep us posted.

Am pretty bummed about tons of stuff so don't know if I can make myself do any workouts this weekend.

Karen, I am sorry to hear you aren't feeling the best. Sometimes a day of rest can help and other times a good workout can help. Just listen to yourself and what you need. I know I have had those days a lot!! I wish you well.

Hmmm, yesterday I was only able to sneak in the cardio so today is Max. Intensity Strength. Then I am going to mow the lawn, then I am coming back in to do the cardio portion of CTX Power Circuit and CTX Kickbox. I am going to push myself hard to day to make up for missed workouts!

I did get new insoles and noticed a difference immediately!:D

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I am going to watch the Packers kick some Minnesota butt!

I didn't get my workout in yesterday so I will add it on to todays. So BBC Butt & Legs / BBC Arms & Abs (weight segs only) / Cardio Coach #2.

DD14 had a good race again. She ran varsity, and came in 26th place. Her time was around 16:50, she should have her official time today.

Karen, So sorry you are feeling bummed. Take the day off and see how you are feeling tomorrow. :)

Susan, Yipee that you got new insoles, and that they are making a difference. We don't want you to have bum feet. ;-)

Sue, LOL about the duck walk making your thighs so sore. At least you don't have to walk around like a duck all day. :D Hope you have fun trying out your BBC workouts. I didn't preview them at all, just jumped right in. }(

Marie, Nice to here from you. Glad you are doing ok. I don't know if I would be coordinated enough for Belly Dancing, but it sure looks like it would be fun. I watch the ones at the faire and wonder how they are moving their hips so fast. :) Yup we got a dog from the Humane Society. She is a German Shepherd, and is a big love. Every morning I take her for a walk, and then when we get home she just loves to wake everyone else up. My DH gets to see this large dog flying up onto the bed to give him a doggie kiss. I totally enjoy watching this. }( Evil of me I know.

Saturday workout will be Tae Bo Celebrity Fit Cardio. Sunday will be Shape Transforming Circuit / Yoga Zone Flexability & Stress Relief.

And of course I agree with Susan, GO PACKERS beat those Vikings.

Had my first PT session today and she found lots of things to "fix" to help my neck. Fortunately all little things and nothing that seems serious or that can't be fixed.

Laurie - Your dog sounds a lot like ours! He doesn't like anyone sleeping late. They are such a joy!!!

Karen - hope things get better!

Susan - glad your insoles are helping! I've had plantar fasciitis really bad and that is awful so whatever you can do to avoid foot problems is great.

Belly Dancing uses some different muscles and you really focus on these so that is good. And it is great for working the thighs. All my pants are much looser in the legs. Moving the hips like that is actually coming from the knees.

I agree GO PACKERS!!! I was doing some plyo jumps toward the end of last weeks game. This game has me very nervous!
