Morning All,

Will get my workout in after work, because I was having a problem with a tooth last night and didn't get a good nights sleep. Need to call the dentist. :( Saturday I did get IntervalX+ done, and the Ab Circuit workout Weights & Plates. Interesting workout, don't quite know if I like it or not. :p

DD16 did so much better at her race on Saturday, she came in 2nd for her team. She was 21 overall, but there where over 200 girls running in this meet. The team came in 3rd of 34 teams running. Maybe DH and I just shouldn't go to her races, because she does way better. We stayed home and cleaned the house. DD16 had her BF over on Satruday, and he is a very nice young man. He helped me make dinner, and was very social with both DH and I.

Hope everyone had a great weekend,

Good Morning,

Went for a 15 mile easy bike ride with my SIL on Sun. Today I am doing STS disk 16 and possibly a run.

Had a busy weekend with company, bike race and DD6 birthday party. We grilled out and had a bonfire with smores.

Laurie, glad DD did better at this cross country meet. Sounds like she has a nice BF. Hope you tooth is an easy fix and you feel better soon. I think in a lot of her ab circuit workouts she takes longer breaks so none of them seem as hard as her previous. Did the leg workout make you sore?

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Looks like another nice week, weather wise, coming up.:)

Laurie - If your tooth is really hurting they can call in a prescription for some emergency drugs. I had to do that when a nerve ending was dying and I needed a root canal. The pain was even worse than childbirth so I couldn't wait until the next day to see the dentist. Hope your tooth doesn't hurt that bad and like Karen said that it's easy to fix. Glad to hear DD has a nice BF and she did better at her race. Actually, she better than better - she did great!

Karen - Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Smores! Yum.

The homecoming game Friday night was FANTASTIC! We beat the #1 team in the state (Arrowhead) in overtime. The kids all stormed the field after the victory and it was thrilling to watch. Haven't screamed that much at a football game in my entire life.

DD14 went to her first ever homecoming dance with friends and the boy she likes and is good friends with broke her heart by asking another girl (another good friend) to dance. :( DD had no clue they liked each other. She came home upset with a massive headache from the loud music (and probably from crying, too). Felt bad for her. She looked beautiful, too in her brown and orange print dress. She even put eyeshadow on and shaved her legs! We had a good heart to heart talk on Sunday and she seemed to feel better after that.

Saw my sister and BIL yesterday. We all went out to eat and visited at my Mom's afterwards.

No workouts on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Either too busy, too tired or too lazy (1 of the 3) every time I thought about working out. On Sunday I did Results Lower Body and 2 Leslie miles. This morning I did Results Upper Body.

We're having an appreciation week at work for ourselves (yep, we're appreciating ourselves :p) so made scrambled eggs, sausages and belgian waffles with toppings. I don't need anything until dinner now.

:(Hey Gang! Well, I am glad that weekend is over! Saturday started out well. Both kids went to a sleep-over at the same house, DH was at a golf outing but when he came home we went out for dinner. Then at about midnight I recieved a call that both of my kids were not feeling well and needed to come home! So, at about 12:30am I was trying to tuck them in. DD had a fever, sore throat, cough, DS had bad cold and slight fever. DS kept me up until 5am! He just could not sleep. So Sunday was a very rough day for Mom! :p I could not get to bed soon enough last night!

Both kids were much better today. So my weekend workouts were cleaning and walking!:( I did however, buy Jillian's BFBM! Took the last one they had! This is my workout today! I sat down last night and wrote up a 6 week rotation focusing more on fat loss. I added in all of Cathe's "oldies". This BFBM is the only newer workout I'll be doing. S/H was a good rotation. I feel much stronger from doing it but I can not say I see any physical difference in my body.

Oh, we also recived a lovely computer virus over the weekend! We are still trying to remove it! I have been on the phone with Microsoft more than I care to be! The virus is called "Windows Police Pro". My DH went to work early today and downloaded, onto a flash drive, a malware removal. We're hoping it'll work. In the mean time we have a spare hard drive we connected in order for us to get online. Microsoft says they know about this one and it is tough to get rid of! Figures, we'd get it! :(

Have a good night!

Susan

Hi,

Today I am doing what I should have done yesterday. No run either. Yesterday I ended up doing a leg workout from STS. Don't know if we will be biking tonight or not. Lots going on and all the older kids are at events. Homecoming week here so lots of extra things going on.

Sue, glad your team won. Sorry about DD and the boy she likes. Just what she needed was her mom to talk to. I'll bet she looked pretty. Did you take any pictures you could post. It's nice when you get to see family. We were in the same boat on the workouts. My motivation seems to be dwindling more and more as the days go on. Funny about your appreciation day for yourselves. The food sounds good.

Susan, sorry the kids and you had a rough weekend. Glad everyone is feeling better today. Did you like BFBM? Is your computer back up and without virus again?

Hi Laurie and Lala.

Have a great day.

Hi!:D Today will be MIS and some time on the elliptical. I did like BFBM a lot, but I hate mountain climbers!

Karen, do you think STS is what is making your motivation lag? Maybe you need to take a small break and work in something different? I have found now that school has started and things are so much busier, I just don't have the energy to deal with everything too!

No, the virus is still on the other hard drive! DH was too tired when he got home from work to deal with it. I am just thankful we have a back-up to use!:D Microsoft called to tell me they now have a way to fix this specific virus. It was just sent out yesterday, so if DH can't get it to work I am to call them back and we'll try their fix.

Well, I better get ready for work! Have a great day! First day of Fall! My favorite season!:D

Hi Sue!
Hi Laurie!!
Hi Lala!!!

Morning Ladies,

This morning was Plyo X, and last night I managed to get Disc 4 in but not the Ab workout. So I will get Ab Circuit Yoga based done after work.

Youngest DD ran her first cc race yesterday, and she did just fine. She was the last runner for her team, but not the last runner that finished the race. :D

Karen, I noticed that she does seem to slow down in these ab workouts. I wasn't as sore as I thought I would be, so I'm thinking that all the Jillian workouts actually where benificial to me. Have fun with all the homecoming events, our isn't until the first week in October. DD already has her dress, so I don't have to go running for that. ;)

Sue, Oh how heartbreaking for your DD. This age and boys are just horrible at times, and I don't know how many times I have told my DD that boys this age are just clueless. It is always good that you can talk to her about things like this, because then they have confidence in talking to you in the future. Oh that food just sounds yummy!

Susan, Sorry to hear about your rough weekend with the children. Is this fever thing just reapearing over and over. Makes one wonder what the heck it is. My oldest has a cold right now, so I'm hoping the Zicam helps her. You will have to let us know how working with the "oldies" rotation works. Sounds like it just might be tough. Are you including MIC in that mix? That one always has me bent over gasping for breath! ;) What! Those mountain climbers are the BOMB! You know I'm lying right?

Have a great day!

Tuesday already!! Last night we had a parent-teacher meet and greet, so I go home around 9. Did circuit max yesterday am and Imax3 this am. I am trying out a circuit/full body rotation. I want to work STS into a full body, but don´t have the time to sit down and try to figure one out. I always say "maybe on the weekend", but so far they´ve been way too busy...but fun!

Laurie, DD16 did GREAT in her race!! and congrats to the youngest DD on her first race. How nice that DD16 has a BF who is considerate...not common it seems these days!

Sue, I feel bad for your DD14:( But it speaks highly of you that she talks to you about it!

Karen, love those smores!! DD21 came home over the weekend so we got our little bonfire going and made some, too!

Susan, hope the kids are better. I had a student out with strep already this year:( Hope that is not an indication of how the winter will be:confused: AND I hope your computer gets better ;) I love fall, too, and spring, and summer...winter....not so much:D

Susan - Mountain climbers aren't my favorite either but at least you don't have to do them very long. Hope your computer virus gets fixed soon.

Laurie - I'll have to remember to tell DD about teenage boys being clueless. How true!

Lala - You're doing a great job getting your workouts in with parent-teacher meetings and all. You must really look forward to the weekends!

Karen - Another mom took pictures but hasn't sent any yet. She's real good about that so I'm not worried.

Went to Olive Garden with my co-workers today and my boss made me pay! (I get reimbursed.) She must have been near her credit limit or something. I had soup, salad and breadstick lunch. The chicken gnocci soup is delicious!

No workout yet today but hope to do something after I get home from my hair appt. Just getting a trim - nothing exciting.

Have a good night!

Good Morning,

We ended up doing 30 miles at 22 mph last night. What we lost in miles, we made up for in intensity. Today I am doing some type of cardio. Nice day but I just don't feel like running.

Sue, Olive Garden has some good food. I would have gotten something more fattening than you did. Did you end up getting a workout in?

Lala, nice job getting in your workouts. I think Kathryn posted a way to use STS as a full body workout. It might be in one of her blogs. Besides bonfires, what have you been doing on your weekends?

Laurie, congrats to your runners. Did DD enjoy her first race? The boys are getting tired of cross country. They have a couple of weeks left but only one more meet.

Susan, hope your computer is up again. I wish I like Jillian, I have a really hard time doing her workouts. I love STS and how I don't think about what I am going to do workout wise except cardio. I am always sore and they seem doable. Nice job on your workouts.

Have to take DD to ortho today, hopefully to get her braces off.

Love this weather, but know it is going to leaf;) soon and we will be plunged into coldness.

Have a great day.

Hi!:D Today will be Cardio Kicks for me! Last night I must have been tired cause MIS kicked my butt!:p

Karen, that's a great ride you had last night! What have you decided to do today? Hope DD gets those braces off! I need to take my DD into the ortho for a consult!

Sue, I have not been to the Olive Garden in ages! My girlfriend goes a lot and I am always jealous when I hear how good the food is!;) Did you get a workout in last night? Did you watch BL? There was some impressive weight loss gong on!

Hi Laurie! Glad to hear DD enjoyed her race! Every time she'll get a little better!

Hi Lala! Sounds like you have been busy! My DD gets strep throat a lot but they won't take out her tonsils. I told DH if she gets it more than once this year I am yanking them out myself!

DH is being lazy about fixing bad hard drive so looks like I'll be rolling up my sleeves and tackling that job on my own! Now, when will I squeeze that in?;) Gonna try after dinner tonight!

Have a great day! Susan

Morning Ladies,

After work I will be going out with my friends, so I decided to get in a little cardio this morning. 25 min. run and I finally finished the Yoga based abs. :D If I'm not to bad after my time with my friends, I still would like to get Disc 5 finished. I don't have confidence that I will get motivated after a beer(margarita!) and appetizers.

Lala, Have fun with that circuit rotation, I have found them to be benificial. Now I am curious how you would make STS a circuit, and can understand why it gets put to the side. I to find the weekends very busy. ;)

Sue, Thanks for reminding me that I need to make an appointment for DD16 for her hair. She just needs a trim too. :D I love the soups at Olive Garden, and of course the salad and bread sticks. Yummm

Karen, I think DD enjoyed her first race, she still has to figure out how to pace herself. I think that will come with time. All I know is she hasn't said she doesn't want to do it anymore. The only thing I'm finding with STS is I'm wanting more cardio. So I'm adding on some 30 min cardio workouts on my weight days. Don't know if that will screw me up or not.

Susan, You and I seem to be on at the same time. MIS is a tough workout, so can understand that it would kick you butt. The leg portion of that is really good. Hope you are able to get that virus off your computer.

Yesterday while walking the dog after work, Cami and I got caught in a downpour. I was soaked through, and when I came into the house the girls started to laugh. :D I think my shoes are still wet!

Have a great day!

Am trying to enjoy the weather while it lasts, so went for a 30min run today after school.
Laurie, STS worked me so hard I was glad not to do cardio on my STS days. And, yes I did find some ways to use it as a full body. It will just take time for me to sit down and look through the dvds and decide how I want to do it.

Karen, nice bike ride...and more cardio today  you are wonder woman!

Susan, I love cardio kicks! Just did it the other day. some have commented on the form in that workout, but I don't care!

Sue, Olive Garden is my DSs favorite restaurant. We take him there when we go to visit...and congrats on finding something lo cal!!!

Hi,

Yesterday I ended up doing Imax 3. Today I am doing STS disk 18 back/bi and ab work.

Tonight for cross country, the boys ride their bikes to a trail, run the trail and ride to Culvers for custard and then ride back to the school. DS15 has a soccer game tonight also.

Lala, glad you got out to enjoy the weather. Did you check Kathryn's blog for total body using STS?

Laurie, did you have a good time with your friends? Did disk 5 end up getting done? I added extra cardio on some days my first round and now on the second also. I don't think it will hurt anything. Glad DD liked racing.

Susan, did you fix the computer problem yourself? DD did get her braces off but her gums were swollen so she has to go back next week for a temp. retainer and then when the swelling goes down get the permanent one. Still a gap inbetween one of her teeth. She is not happy with that. Especially after having them on for 4 1/2 years. MIS is a tough workout. SHe does legs forever.

Have a great day. Off to get motivated.

Hi Sue, are your kids liking school?

Good morning!:) Starting to look a little more like Fall here! Today will be Power Hour and I need to do yard work. DH has a seminar out of town and said I may need to take DS to FB practice so we'll see what all I fit in! Lawn mowing may just have to wait!:p

Karen, sorry your DD had swollen gums! Sounds ouchy! And she shouldn't have any gaps after wearing braces that long! Hope your kids have fun at CC!

Well, I was on the phone with Microsoft for over an hour. Unfortunately, our computer operating system has been "taken over" by this virus and we have to unistall the whole thing! I am not happy because I have pictures, etc that will be lost. DH is going to talk to someone he knows that fixes computers and I am going to call a tech in Oshkosh and see if there is a way to salvage at least the pictures off the hard drive! DH says not to give up hope!:(

Have a great day and I'll check back later!

Susan

Morning Ladies,

This morning was KenpoX, and I didn't have any motivation for Disc 5 last night. I will get that done after work for sure. I'm determined to finish this rotation, and not miss a workout. ;) I will be done with the STS workouts on 12/18, and will have my recovery during the week of Christmas. :D It worked perfect for me. :D

Lala, Do you have a multi disc changer? I just was curious, because I would have to change discs after each segment. :( But my current DVD player works, so don't need to buy a new one. The weather has been super enjoyable, well except for that downpour I was in. :D

Karen, I had a great time with my friends, and we realized that we hadn't had a girls night in over a year. We will have to find a new place to hang, we felt that we where getting pushed out before we where finished. Ouch on the swollen mouth, that has to be hard to eat. :(

Susan, Dang on the computer, and I'm hoping that your DH is right on recovering your photos. Good workouts you are getting in though. Yep the yard can wait.

Have a great day!

Good afternoon, ladies! I am home with a sick DD today. She was supposed to have her nasal cauterization today to stop her nosebleeds but got a call from school yesterday that she was ill and had to cancel. DH took to her to the Dr. because she had a lot going on. She was playing Speed Ball in gym and working really hard when she suddenly became very dizzy, saw dark spots and couldn't walk. The school nurse called and after her temp showed she was 100.1, DH went to pick her up. (He works closer.) They ran all sorts of tests including an EKG and did bloodwork. Didn't find anything but we're still waiting to hear about her thyroid. She could be hyperthyroid. I'm hypo, my sister's hypo. My dad and grandma were hyper. Definitely runs in the family. Otherwise, the Dr. thought it was the start of something viral. Only the 3rd week of school and she's already missed 2 1/2 days!

So I'm home cleaning EVERYTHING. I'm actually working up a sweat so I take breaks like now. No workout yet today. Yesterday I jogged/walked 3 miles in 38 min. I'm not very fast but I don't jog very often either.

Laurie - Your plan for STS sounds perfect. Can't think of a better time for recovery week than Christmas. So did you have a beer or margarita? (or both! :p)

Susan - Yes, I watched BL! I can't believe they lost so much again this week. It boggles my mind. Don't give up hope on your pics!

Karen - Your boys impress me with all their biking and running. No wonder they do so well in their races. And they have good genes, too. ;)

Lala - This is the perfect weather for running for me. Not too hot, not too cold. That's probably why I only go out for a jog a few times a year. :p

Enough of a break. I'd better get back to my cleaning. Ta ta!

Hey!

Laurie, glad you had a great time with your girlfriends! I missed my last get together with mine!:(

Sue, sorry your DD is ill. Mine was not feeling well when she came home yesterday. She has been battling this thing on/off all week. She said half of her class was out sick this week!

Well, I am going to go pick up all those darn apples in my backyard. I am trying to tell myself not to mow but I want it done!!! Somehow I think I'll be mowing.....

Today was MM

Yes, I did find Kathryn´s rotation for STS and will try to make one similar.

Susan, hope DD is feeling better. I´ll end up mowing this weekend!

Laurie, you are so dedicated!!! I do have a multi-disc changer. I think without I wouldn´t even try to do a full body with STS. DH got it for me just for my exercising! BTW, how is your tooth?

Karen, culvers is a great way to celebrate a good workout :D Hope DDs gums get better.

Sue, Hope DD is OK. I would´ve taken her to the doc, too. glad to see they took it seriously and checked her out well.

Tonight is my long night to work on lesson plans....so off to that now!

Never thought I´d be on this early! Did Step blast today. It´s been a long time and I remember now how fun it is!

Rainy here, but at least it´s not a rainy monday!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. No plans which is how I mostly like it!
